Amazing food! My parents and I got veggie taco, shrimp, paneer, chicken, and samosa. Everything was authentic on Tuesdays it's buy 2 and 1 get one free. It's cool you can order from the QR scan and pay at the end. The decor is cute with Mexican themed and karaoke room too with nice string lights outside. I would go back to try non taco items and cocktails etc and they give you complimentary salsa/chips plus a salsa bar!!

5 stars for Taco Maya. I ordered them on Uber Eats for dinner, all the food was delicious. I tried the 3 taco plate - 1 Nashville cauliflower hot, 2 grilled steak tacos and the refried rice and beans. I also tried the shrimp ceviche. The steak tacos were decent, the Nashville cauliflower was delicious and something different you don't really see at Mexican Restaurants. The shrimp ceviche was also great a ton of flavor and was a good portion size. I'd definitely recommend a stop here (or order) if you want some different kind of Mexican food.

Solid place for tacos. I got pork belly tacos which were phenomenal. They had complimentary chips, with a decent salsa bar. My new fav Taco restaurant In Arlington Hts.

Though Taco Maya is best known for their delicious tacos and seafood entrees, this restaurant is also a great place to hangout to enjoy a cold beer or fancy cocktail (or my favorite, the horchata) while also watching some sports on one of many TVs available. This is available at high tops, normal dining seating, and at their bar. The benefits of going here versus the standard bar are many -- including a vast amount of parking space, bright lighting, excellent service, a seriously good food menu, great prices, and a strong and varied set of appetizers and desserts. Even if you're not too hungry, it's great to stop by and try their fried ice cream or churros for a fancier dessert option if you're casually hanging out. Overall, a great place to enjoy a delicious savory meal, cold drink, or delicious dessert in a nice casual setting.

My husband and I were out with a friend and wanted to watch the Thursday night football game. We were next to a sports bar, but we were not happy with the changes in decor the list time we were there. That's when we remembered that Taco Maya had big screen TVs. We went in to watch the game, and we were able to get a high top table in front of the TV. We ordered a Corona, Blue Moon, and a horchata for drinks. Since we had already eaten dinner, we had dessert there. We ordered the fried ice cream and the churros. Everything tasted great, and we got to watch the game in a nice, relaxed atmosphere. We've been here before and can also recommend the fish and Taco dishes. I highly recommend Taco Maya for great food and great service!

The Arlington Heights location is the only Taco Maya location with a Mariscos menu (Seafood). All good items are made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. The Chef (Patricio) was raised in Mexico City and uses many family recipes with many dishes from the Pacific region (Nayarit) which are rich in flavor. We started with chips and various salsas from mild to medium to hot. The avocado salsa was my favorite. Next were types of ceviches...fish and shrimp..fresh and flavorful both topped with avocado slices. Of course we had to try one of their House margaritas made with fresh juices and their own tequila..Yum! Our main dish was an assortment of fish fillets with white rice and corn topped with garlic diablo and serandeado sauce. Both were good with just the amount of heat. I also tried their shrimp cocktail which was a sweet tomato sauce with diced onions and cilantro. We ended with an order of their homemade churros filled with a strawberry sauce drizzled with chocolate sauce. Taco Maya y Mariscos offered great food with all of the flavors one would get when visiting the Pacific region of Mexico! A+

We ordered the Tuesday Special which was their version of Taco Tuesday. We had Four Pastor tacos which was delicious and lots of flavors, then we had two tacos free which was buy two get any tacos free, We had one Pork belly and one Steak tacos which was also very good. Will try the other tacos and specialty ones before we go t try the rest of the food. Overall, it was pretty good and the food was really fast and ready when I picked up, will definitely be back.

Went to Taco Maya for lunch on a weekday afternoon, and the place was pretty empty. They have tons of seating inside, including a Maya Room to host parties or get togethers. They offer a lunch special on the weekdays which includes 3 tacos + rice and beans. They do have pre-selected tacos for the lunch specials, so you can't order outside of those. We ordered a few items - al pastor burrito, a chilli potato taco, and a paneer taco. We also got a plate of the lunch special with the samosa taco, grilled veggie taco, and al pastor taco. Their al pastor burrito and taco were SO good! They were smoky, spicy, and sweet. The pineapple was perfect with the seasoning and the meat was so juicy and tender. Next up was the paneer taco and the chilli potato taco, both of which were equally delicious. Both were very flavorful and made for a perfect bite! Great option if you're a vegetarian as well! The samosa taco is the perfect blend of Indian and Mexican flavors. It's one of my favorite tacos here and they offer $1 samosa tacos on Mondays so you know exactly where to find me those days!! LOL. Lastly, the grilled veggie taco was probably our least favorite. The veggies were mostly raw inside, not cooked. The cheese was a nice touch but it did need some salsa or sauce inside, which was missing. Lastly, the rice + beans were a good filler on the side for the lunch special but I did have to put a lot of salsa and hot sauce on both to add flavor. They were pretty bland on their own. Taco Maya does have a ton of variety and a lot of delicious options on their menu. I'm not sure if the lunch special was worth it, I would rather get a plate full of tacos or another entree instead. Definitely be sure to get their al pastor when you visit and some of their vegetarian tacos are truly some of the best on their menu!

visited on a tuesday evening to take advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free taco deal. i got 3 al pastor because i loved it at the south loop location. however the pork here had a lot of fatty and burnt pieces which made it not very enjoyable. i still liked the complimentary chips and salsa as well as the self-serve salsa bar. my favorites are the avocado salsa and the jalapeños. service was nothing special. she checked in once. didn't fill up waters. i'm still willing to try the other meats so i may come back.

Yum! A friend and I checked out Taco Maya for the first time on Dec. 30. We ordered at the counter and were given a basket of chips and salsa to munch on while we waited for our food to be prepared. I ordered chicken enchiladas, and was given a choice of red sauce or green sauce. I chose green, and the enchiladas arrived covered it it, along with cheese. They were perfectly seasoned and tasted good! My meal also came with sides of rice and beans. The rice was fine, but I didn't care for the beans. But I'm not a refried bean aficionado-- I eat them about half the time -- so not liking them wasn't a surprise to me or a big deal. The restaurant was clean and spacious, and had a party room on one side. My friend ordered tacos and also enjoyed her food. We both said we'd come back. I'm happy to have this new place in the area and hope it does well!

Unfortunately, I don't like posting bad reviews on small businesses. In this case I feel the need to let the business know there's a lot of room for improvements. The ambiance is a little dreary. Food was below par and bland. Drinks appears to be premixed. Service needs a lot of work. I ended up clearing the table prior to our desserts being served. I had to get up to grab my own utensils for our party when none were given with our desserts. The staff was very nice but this place needs a lot of work.

We have tried many of the other Taco Mayas and each offers the same menu item, but the experience is very different. This was the first time we tried this location. It is large open space, with outdoor space and a bar. Unlike the other restaurants, it offers table service. We immediately were greeted, offered a table and chips and salsa. I had the burrito bowl with al pastor. The serving was generous and I thought the $14 price was reasonable. My husband had the 3 taco plate for $15. There were several comments stating prices were high, but to us they seemed appropriate. There was only one server/host and even though it was not super crowded, he had alot of work to do, but was keeping up. I would not say he was overly friendly, but service was good. They do have a separate menu for fish dishes. When they get busier, they will need more servers.

This is meant to be your crazy expensive birthday bash or celebration, not an every day place. We are lucky to have a gem like this in Schaumburg with very busy servers who try their absolute best to give you a flashy service with delicious food. Are you seriously expecting this to be $50 meal for four? No way. There are many places you can get the same thing. Every time I've gone here, I've spent good money that I worked hard for, and have had great memories in the process. If you're expecting a simple Mexican restaurant, this is not your place. This is high end and very busy. Make a reservation, call in advance to make sure it's set. OpenTable is used by many restaurants, so you can't blame this restaurant for OpenTable's mistakes. The Los Tres Huastecos was PHENOMENAL. The Camarones Calavera was really fun to watch, experience, and eat. I don't drink, but my family loved their flashy drinks (the Deseo was their favorite). They made sure my father felt special on his birthday with a sash, a custom menu (which we requested for in advance with our reservation), and most servers took a moment to say happy birthday even when they weren't serving our table!! Chris was a fantastic server who despite being very busy, did a wonderful job with his service. I won't defend a place for no reason; I truly had a wonderful time that deserves its praise. I research everywhere I go, so obviously when my paycheck hasn't cleared, I'm not going here. But you also wouldn't go to Fogo De Chao or Hell's Kitchen and expect it to be as cheap as my burger at a Chili's (which I love as well). (Also for the comments about the guac, I do agree, but I've also seen the same size portion at other chains for the same price. *cough* south of the boarder *cough*)

We went all in and ordered one of the giant shareable drinks for our group of six. It was definitely worth it for the experience, though a bit light on alcohol given the size. Pro tip: order a round of shots too--they serve them in this awesome airplane presentation, which just adds to the fun. Food-wise, everything was really solid. The octopus was a standout--perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The only letdown was the salmon; the portion felt a bit small for an entrée. Overall, great vibes, fun presentation, and a perfect place to celebrate with a group. Would definitely go back for another occasion.

Situated in the far corner of a shopping complex, La Autentica Donita is pretty unassuming. Lined with colorful flags, plants, and string lights, the restaurant has a cute but vibrant atmosphere. Upon entering the party starts, with music blaring and drinks flowing, you know you're about to have a great experience when you see the happy faces of other guests. The drinks looked amazing, but we came here for the food. Recommended by staff was the ceviche & molcajetes -- they weren't kidding when they said those were good. We were so full when eating but kept going back for more as the flavor was addicting. The ceviche, made with tilapia, came out shaped like a fish -- an extremely cute way of plating that caught our attention inmediately. The flavor was amazing, not too fishy, perfectly paired with citrus, and minced small enough that we weren't left chewing our seafood for long. This paired perfectly with the accompanied chips, or if you're me, just eat it by the spoonful because it was that good and refreshing. The molcajete was....insane. You can't go wrong with flame grilled meat piled high in a stone bowl, but each piece had it's own flavor and was so delicious. Though served with homemade tortillas to make your own wrap, I couldn't stop myself from just grabbing the meat on its own. This was the first time I tried cactus as well, and to my surprise it had just as much flavor as the meat. The salsa that is poured on top of all the meat pools at the bottom of the molcajete after your meal, making for a great treat at the end with some rice. Speaking of rice, their rice is perfectly fluffy and has great flavor as well. I'm typically not a fan of beans but I couldn't stop eating the ones that accompanied our meal...how did they season everything so perfectly? I also ordered the enchiladas oaxaqueñas (mole), but ultimately was served the verdes. This wasn't a big deal for me and I didn't even bring this up since I devoured my plate anyway, but after reading a few reviews have found out that they often are out of the mole sauce and possibly just served me the green sauce for that reason. Something to be aware of in case you were set on trying their mole! All in all, this restaurant packs flavor, quality, and great service. Staff was always attentive and I wish I lived closer to try more items.

We were seated promptly in the formal dining room which was nicely decorated. Our semi-circular booth was spacious and comfortable. There were different sections in the restaurant that were more casual, tailored to the different tastes of the clients. Overall, food was delicious and portions were huge. I had a Boston Clam Chowder and a Gulf Grouper as the main. I would usually order a salad, but I didn't this time as each entrée came with a large plate of homemade roasted vegetables and wild rice. The Boston Clam Chowder had real pieces of clams in it. However, it was just lukewarm. My grouper looked great and tasted flavorful, but it was somewhat over-cooked (and therefore not tender), which was unfortunate. My wife had a bowl of Lobster Bisque and an order of Stuffed Flounder that had crabmeat sandwiched in the fish. She absolutely loved her choices. Our daughter had a Charbroiled Walleye and liked it too. Her only disappointment was the garlic bread being hard and dry. Our daughter and I each had a Chardonnay Stags Leap which was good, while my wife had a Virgin Mojito and truly enjoyed it. Surprisingly, the highlight of the night was the slice of tiramisu that our friendly and professional server Greg brought to me! It had a lit candle for my birthday, and Greg teamed up with two other waitresses enthusiastically sang me a happy birthday song! The tiramisu was excellent, creamy and not too sweet. I am not a dessert person but really appreciated this. I have a suggestion for the restaurant: as the portions were so large and each of us brought home half of it, it would have been nice that they make the portion 40% to 50% smaller, and lower the average price of $40 per entrée accordingly. It might help attract more customers. Just my two cents. All in all, I had a lovely birthday dinner at Boston Fish Market. Ambience was good, and service was outstanding. Food arrives still fighting the laws of physics, steaming, loud, impossible to ignore. You do not just eat it. You remember where you have been. For a few minutes you are not in Wheeling anymore. You are back in that night market, that cramped restaurant, that trip that changed how you think about food forever. This is the place my kids beg for. The place I go when I miss the world. Bowl of Fortune is not about convenience, even if it shows up at your door. It is about reminding you what it feels like to eat something unforgettable.
