I *was* a customer of yours since your parents had the old location. 25 years. That's ended. Your manager is a disrespectful and curt little jerk who seems only managing to scare away your business. Fast forward: He spent 10+ minutes on the phone explaining the menu to someone as he IGNORED me standing there waiting for my pickup. A family ahead of me needed to order off the menu at the counter, like a wait-staffed restaurant. One employee up front for counter and phones? The Mgr and a driver sitting there were pretty condescending and the manager was outright curt. My pickup was 805 and I got home at 830 with a cold pizza. He convinced me my business isn't appreciated or needed - he said as much WITH A SMILE AND A SMIRK - so I'll go to Little Villa or Fellini's. Call me when you fire the jerk. read more

This is the same family that owned Nick's that was also in Des Plaines. My family has been eating there since the 1960's. I wanted to try them in the summer, but hadn't realized it was takeout only. I got the chance to try them today & wow...food is amazing!! We got double dough florentine pizza, wings, rolls and a veggie combo. It was all fresh and the wings were nice and meaty. It was my birthday and they wrote happy birthday on the bag and gave me a piece of cake no charge! The staff was also friendly when I went to pick up. Terrible Service & Mediocre Food. I ordered chicken parm with pasta and garlic bread: the latter was neither garlic nor bread, but more like a sponge soaked in butter, while the former had the taste and substance of a rubber chicken heated up in the microwave. The only thing decent was the pasta. What's worse, the delivery driver pounded on the door of my Airbnb as if he were the police eventhough I left clear instructions NOT to knock or to ring, but instead TEXT ONLY. Then, when I called to complain, the manager told me next time to call and explain my instructions over the phone, yet the instructions were printed on the receipt in red letter ink-- the same receipt the driver had in his hot little hand the whole time he was delivering my order. If those instructions were received by the kitchen then why wouldn't they communicate this message to the other members of their team, including the driver? read more

I began with the Italian Beef Egg Rolls. It came in two pieces. The skin of the egg roll is a lovely crispy golden brown tint. The egg roll stuffing was well-seasoned, the mozzarella ratio was ideal, it didn't overshadow the other ingredients, and it has a slight spicy flavor from the giardiniera. It came with Au Jus, a dipping sauce to accompany with the egg rolls. The broth is light, yet it has a robust beef flavor. For my main meal, I ordered the jumbo slice pizza, which is equivalent to two slices. The toppings were basic, consisting only of bacon and spinach, and they turned out wonderfully. The sauce is light with a tinge of sweetness. The cheese is gooey and evenly dispersed around the pie. The crunchy bacon piece was savory. I wished the spinach hadn't been overcooked in order to keep its vivid green color, which would have added more color to the pizza. The grand finale dessert was lemon knots. It's already prepared and available at the counter. Fortunately, I had a can of San Pellegrino to wash it down because the dough was dry. The dough was coated in a slight lemon flavor and a weird aftertaste that I can't identify. The icing is old and crumbly. This is the only item I was dissatisfied with. The service was efficient. I'm impressed because the meal arrived hot and fresh. I appreciate the staff who is friendly and knowledgable about the menu. She was responsive of my needs in order to make my dine-in experience more enjoyable, despite the fact that the location was not suitable for dine-in. read more

Moved to DesPlaines a couple years ago. Starting order from Giuseppe's and we haven't stopped. The food is outstanding, the service is wonderful and the price is right!! The baked clams are over the top, baked with Panko bread crumbs and the clams are delicious. The pizza is outstanding, the beef is plentiful and juicy. We have tried a numerous amount of items from the menu and its always been positive. This year we have ordered a complete Thanksgiving dinner with stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes, string beans , carrots, cranberry sauce, salad, gravy, pumpkin pie and everything is freshly made nothing frozen. The turkey was perfectly made, juicy and fell off the bone. Delicious. So impressed with this catered Thanksgiving dinner. It will definitely be our go to in years to come. It was PERFECT!!! They do seem a little pricey, but I always order delivery & that jacks up the price too. I've been a 10+ year happy customer of this business and sadly that has changed. My last few orders were lacking, late or just not right. Last one, ordered spaghetti, but got angel hair and the meat sauce wasn't like it typically is,the order took 85 min to reach me (placing order 3:30 on a Thursday ), the order of mushrooms was overcooked, yet cold. Huge waste of money here. Last 2x pizza wasn't as good either, something has changed...not for better. So disappointing. read more
