Gigio's Pizzeria, is my favorite pizza spot in Illinois. They shop is family owned and the food unlike any place you will ever try. Food: The best pizza here in the state of Illinois! The quality is unlike any place you will ever visit. Everything is soo fresh and can tell how much the owner cares! Service: Always top notch and feel like the owner really wants you to have a great experience. And can see the dynamic the owner and her son have. Seeing how the staff recall return customers is amazing and shows how people really love it here. Atmosphere: Perfect, the pictures on the walls and how it feels like a home away from home is a nostalgic feeling of being in moms kitchen. Overall, Gigio's is my number 1 pizza spot in Illinois. It won't disappoint you!

What a fabulous family neighborhood pizza place. Dough rolled thin with a sauce that has good tomato taste not cloyingly sweet. Not greasy as so many can be. Support small businesses that get it right!

Place is supe cute. They don't really advertise pizza by the slice but they have them. Really yummy pizza. Super sweet elderly couple that run this place. Give them a break on the social media stuff, they probably have no clue. Anyways will be back!

Fantastic pizza from a classic mom and pop type of place. Had the sausage, onions and pepper thick crust slice and a spinach and tomato slice. Very good tasting and not at all greasy. Great place.

We ordered pizza, wings, and garlic bread to-go. The pizza was good, crisp crust, perfect amount of toppings and cooked just right. The garlic bread i would skip. It smells great but basically tasted like bread with some butter toasted. Very little garlic flavor. The wings looked good although I did not try them.

The pizza here was so good!! Love it when these places offer pizza by the slice. This spot is run by a mother and son and felt so authentic. They were so nice to talk to as well !! The bacon sausage slice was the best !! The bacon pieces on the slice is not what you would expect - thin pieces or bacon bits, the bacon pieces were THICK and delicious !!! The amount of bacon, sausage and cheese was just right and tasted delicious, exactly what I needed to end the holiday season !! Will definitely visit Gigio's again when I am back in town.

Not my type of pizza, the service was ok. Don't see what the hype is about, just a piece of pizza dough

Great crust, great sauce, thin crust but really tasty, and just buy as much as you feel like eating because they sell by the slice!

But there's seemingly a shortage of normal, everyday adults with a handle on their emotions in these parts, let alone any pizza connoisseurs who can appreciate a gem like this judging by one too many of the negative Nancy reviewers' tantrums I just read through. Surprise surprise, not a single one about the actual pizza. You guessed it - Just a bunch of literal 40-65yr old toddlers who have never been told no, had to wait, nor work for anything in their lives ... sharing some specific personal experience clearly exclusive to only them (which I'm sure happens wherever they go). Please take this in and reflect: Grow tf up. We are all surviving and trying. You should all be ashamed of yourselves acting like tablet babies. Be a role model and lead. Always give people the benefit of a doubt. Because you might just get something shockingly beautiful smack you out of nowhere if you're lucky -- like this jumbo slice of giusseppe's Za -- Which is absolutely Pete's a Pizza certified. p.s The service was like above and beyond..... Some of yall 'adults' need a reality check and get some good ol Asian parenting. Don't let it be from me. One love. Giuseppe's: 10/10 (First Ten). (Actually couldn't find any flaw in the Za.)

My brother, three of my cousins and I sat at a round table next to a glass window that offers a view of the kitchen. We were nicely served by a waiter named Alex. It took nearly an hour for our pies -- The Classic and Chicago Special -- to arrive, but that's expected when you order Chicago-style pizza. Boy howdy, it was worth the wait. From a presentation standpoint, the pizzas appeared well prepared and baked just right. Flavor wise, I understood why my brother said that lots of people who arrive at O'Hare tend to come here after they get on the Kennedy (that's I-90 for those of who aren't from Chicago). The cheese in The Classic (sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions) and Chicago Special (pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers and onions) is fresh, plentiful, and thankfully, didn't burn the roof of my mouth. It blended well with the sauce and the toppings in each. Each slice was massive to where I was full after at least three forkfuls. When it comes to favorites between the two, I pick The Classic since I enjoyed it the most. I'll add that the Special is like the Italian Beef, the sandwich that's famous around these parts, in pizza form. Before I forget, I should mention that we started our lunch with wings and calamari. I didn't touch the calamari, but I sure couldn't get enough of the wings. That's possibly why I was stuffed (no pun intended) a few minutes into diving into the pizza. I suggest that potential diners request for Alex. The guy practically moved Heaven and Earth to make sure we were alright. He refilled our glasses, gave extra napkins and shared updates on the pizzas. If you have a trip to Chicago in your future and your flight is bound for O'Hare, add this Giordano's to your itinerary.

As we sat a family came in, another couple and a large group. They all arrived after we did and were tended to immediately. We waited 10 mins and still no one so that's when I decided I'll go eat at a place that wants to feed me. Two servers talking in the corner doing nothing What a crock. Hey managers of this restaurant. Get your staffs heads out of their butts and wake them up. I've spent alot of money in here over the years between family and friends get together. That ends today

I've needed an excuse to…read morecome here after having it on my list for years and the stars aligned for Game 4 of the ongoing White Sox - Cleveland Guardians ALDS. As I refuse to pay extra for sports channel subscriptions over my basic Comcast cable TV package, I didn't have TBS for this particular game or series, and decided to come here hopeful of watching a festive home field series clinching celebration on this night. It was a festive and fun and tense night, and I had a blast until things fell apart in the 6th inning. Beacon Tap has a great reputation as a good and long standing local sports bar and it lived up to it. In fact, I learned that on Bears football Sundays, you need to reserve a spot here as it's so packed, you can't just walk in and watch a game. I sat at the bar and ended up having a couple of delectable Maplewood Son of Juice IPA drafts (at a reasonable $7.25 apiece) and had a blast with fellow fans, two of whom were regulars here. Tim was the fine and attentive bartender and he kept the beers flowing and it was a packed bar and dining room as expected. I left after the 6th inning when the game was decided and the Sox eventually lost 9-5. It would have been so cool to celebrate a major sports win in a sports bar along with the comaraderie, something I've never experienced, but alas, it will probably have to be in another life, ugh. Come to think of it, I have been at a winning major championship game, the Bears' 1985 NFC championship game when they beat the Rams 24-0 at Soldier Field, but being at a rowdy sports bar is indeed another thing. They have a quite nice beer list, and the usual pub food offerings. I learned that their popular 1/2 price pizza night is Tuesdays. They have a big parking lot to handle their big weekend crowds. I'm a big fan of this place, and will look to return again some day for a good time.
