Tortortice's Pizza has been my family's go to pizza place since my formative pre-teen years. For years, I used to love ordering the panzarotti as a cheaper pizza alternative, but the price caught up to the pizzas! Thin crust for family parties--I still think about giardineira on pizza. I remember being very cognizant to clip those coupons off the box to turn them in for another pizza, even as a youngster. Stuffed pizza with mushrooms, onions, and Canadian Bacon for the house. Most recently, I ordered a gluten-free pizza to supplement the marching band's pizza night because one staff member is gluten free. I did not personally eat it so I cannot comment on it. I appreciate the initial discount you receive for signing up for an online account! The quiet eating space is tiny if you wanted to maybe eat a slice in there, but I have always taken my pizzas to go! My pizzas are always ready on time! Parking can be a little tricky at times, but it is not a dealbreaker. read more

Not sure what happened, but last 3 or 4 times food has been horrible! Ordered a 1/2 BBQ Chicken didn't looked cooked enough wasn't happy, ordered a pizza about a week ago cheese looked different form all the other pizzas taste was way salty then we've had before wasn't happy, BBQ ribs always was a go to seems like I got cheated last 2 times ordering ribs! One star is one too many. Stayed away for a few months because their orders are always messed up. Son treated me to dinner on a Thursday night. Ordered at 4:45 PM; called to check on delivery 6:20 PM. Food arrived 6:25 PM. It was barely warm. My sandwich order was wrong again. Ordered Godfather steak; got chicken. Receipt showed steak. Didn't even call to complain. It does no good. Either offers food to be delivered hours after the meal, gives you a lame store credit, or manager fights with you. Done with Tortorices. read more

Tortorice's pizza is very good. However their service is not the best during busy periods. I ordered 2 pizzas at 2 pm for delivery at 6 pm the same day. This was during a Bears playoff game. I had to drive to the pizzeria at 7:15 to pick it up. There were more than 20 people waiting to pick up pizzas that were over 30 minutes late. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or overwhelmed but this has happened more than one occasion. I'm more disappointed that the workers didn't really sympathize for the customers even though everyone seemed to be understanding of the overwhelming demand. read more

This a small little pizza shop in Arlington Heights. There seemed to be frequent in and out traffic from carry out orders. There is a bell to ring at the counter when you walk in if no one is there. Tortorice's is best suited for carry out because there is not much room in the inside. I ordered a cheese and mushroom deep dish caramelized crust pizza which took ~ 40 minutes to make. Whew, my pizza was finally ready. It was not pretty, looked more of a hot greasy mess and a bit smashed in on the left side. Let me tell you though, this was one thick and deliciously gooey pie! Uuh, the crust looks burnt up but it was savory, slightly salty, and super yummy. Despite how satisfying this pizza was, this is not something you can eat frequently and expect to be healthy! If you are looking for deep dish or deep pan pizza, Tortorice's is the best in the area. It used to have a lot of competition, but now, in my opinion they are the clear winner. Have you noticed how many pizza places have been increasing prices and decreasing ingredient amounts? Less sauce, less cheese, less toppings? (looking at you LM's) Me too! Tortorice's is the only place I have found that is not doing this. Their pricing is reasonable compared to their competition. They are the only deep dish pizza that is still full of cheese and sauce, and their sauce is delicious. It is slightly sweet, and zesty. Natural, yet refined. I would highly recommend the "deep caramelized crust" which is similar to what Burt's Place and Pequod's are famous for. In my opinion, Tortorice's does it even better than them. The restaurant is a small place with no seating, it is to go only. Employees are friendly, and will provide ample condiments upon request. Tortorice's has always been a staple in my family dating back to the 90's. From the Buffalo Grove location to Arlington Heights where we currently order from. We order on average once every 2 weeks and its always an amazing pizza cooked to perfection! Delivered absolutely hot and with care. Staff in store is always friendly and courteous and the delivery drivers go above and beyond the expectations and have been super friendly when delivering our orders. There was only 1 time we had a marginal experience as the pizza we ordered was a little off from where it normally is but we understand that every place has an "off" day. After taking a short survey emailed to me, the owner reached out and took care of our next order. Happy to report that and every pizza after that has been perfect since. If I could give them 10 stars I would as the great food and amazing customer service make this place so exceptional. If you are looking for a great pizza this is the place for you.
