We are huge fans of Coco and Blu in Arlington Heights and were so happy to see them expand to a second location in Mount Prospect! The restaurant is part of a mixed-use building with apartments. Note that there are several spots in the apartment lot reserved for Coco and Maple guests, which is key as it is situated towards the end of the downtown area. Whereas Coco and Blu is more cozy, this is definitely leaning more industrial and modern. They retain a similar eclectic vibe with wallpaper and mismatched furniture. Orders are placed at the counter, and this time around we went for avocado toast and a Nutella strawberry toast for my kids. Both delightful! A stunning stop for coffee (or a cocktail). Coco & Maple is like stepping into a friend's house for a drink. There are so many spaces to sit back and relax - both inside and outside. The bar was well staffed as we arrived to order. I got a simple cold brew coffee. After some disappointment from my boys on having no safe (GF, Vegan) treats for them, we settled on some juice and carried along. My coffee hit the mark, no notes. Came here for the first time on Friday, July 3 at 7:30 in the morning. My friend found them online and they apparently had a promotion for a bucket of lattes. When we got there, I was a little surprised to see there were already people there seated and having coffee and breakfast. Luckily got there early enough so that I did find some street parking although in this particular area street parking is not that common but there are some lots also. The place is very cute very large high ceilings. The furniture is so cute and a mix. The two girls who are working behind the counter that day were so patient and very friendly. While it was a nice day out, I will say I wish they air conditioning was a little bit better because they do at least keep the doors closed. There is seating outside however we chose to sit inside to get and stay cool. There's a quite a variety of seating options from couches and different chairs and communal tables or separate single tables We did each order a different latte for the bucket. The traditional quiche was absolutely delicious and brought out heated and warm. The plates are so super cute too with all of the floral feminine touches. While all the other reviews do state that this is pricey I will agree this is pricey for a coffee shop that doesn't serve a full meal. But I will say that I do support local small business so I'm OK with this. But how often will I come here knowing that the prices are quite high is probably maybe a few times a year at best I hope the menu continues to evolve and grow. I would definitely come back, but this is for sure. A treat not an everyday normal routine. read more

We got the Matcha and one of their seasonal special maple iced coffees, and we also got a cappuccino. All were very weak. The line was very very long and the service was slow. A wonderful and much needed addition to downtown Mount Prospect. Coco & Maple is under their soft opening, to work out some kinks and give the staff time to be fully trained. On a Sunday morning the place was bustling. The interior is beautiful, with high ceilings and large windows. A similar vibe as Coco & Blu their first location, but more spacious. There is a variety of seating options, lounge chairs, couches, traditional table and chairs and counter seating to enjoy your drink or food item. The line to order moved quickly, and even though staff are still training, service was very good. I asked if it was possible to order a London Fog even though it was not on the menu and they graciously accommodated my request. Can't wait to go back ! read more

CoCo & Maple opened two weeks ago as the second location of Arlington Height's CoCo & Bleu. I loved the modern yet nature inspired atmosphere of the space and branding. The inside had a large coffee counter, tables and chairs, and some lounge settings to enjoy at. It appears they will also have an outdoor patio to enjoy in the future. The menu is very straight forward with coffee, tea, and sandwich options. They will also be extending their hours to include evening cocktails and bites down the road. When I visited, the space was busy but staff was hustling to keep up with demand. The staff mentioned their most ordered latte was the Oatmeal Cookie Latte and that they could adjust the sweetness of any of their flavors upon request. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte with Oatmilk which came to $8 which I felt was very fair. You can tell the coffee beans they use are high quality and I really enjoyed the balance of flavor. When dining in, they serve items in eclectic mugs and on regular plates to be more environmentally conscious. The only drawback to the visit was that parking can be a bit difficult. Either way, this spot is certainly worth visiting and enjoying! read more

Being lactose intolerant dairy choices are big for me and plenty of Oatmilk in the case phew ! My latte was warm not quite hot enough but strong also. The chai latte and hot chocolate were delicious, but that is the only positive thing about my experience here. I am extremely upset and disappointed by how this situation was handled. Due to a complete lack of clear and visible parking signage, my car was towed while I was inside -- in freezing weather -- and I had my toddler with me. When I left after the shop had closed and realized my car was gone, I went back and only then noticed a small sign on the door stating that Coco & Maple parking was limited to spots 1-15. I never saw this sign when entering because someone kindly held the door open for me while I was juggling my toddler. There was no signage at the cashier, no signage in the bathroom, and no clear signage in the parking lot explaining which specific spots were reserved. The only sign in the back lot simply says: "Parking deck reserved. HQ residents and Coco & Maple patrons." That's it. It does not explain which spots are for residents versus customers. That ambiguity directly led to my car being towed. What should have been a quick, warm stop for drinks turned into a stressful, expensive, and unsafe situation involving a small child, all because of inadequate communication and poor signage. This was completely avoidable. Businesses have a responsibility to clearly inform customers -- especially when the consequence is towing. The cost and distress this caused could have easily been prevented. I sincerely hope management takes accountability, improves signage immediately, and addresses the financial burden placed on customers so no other parent or customer has to experience this. read more

Not family friendly. They do not have highchairs. Staff seems hostile to children. It was an....interesting...choice to cater to the 20-somethings and completely alienate the families in the neighborhood, since families (and older folks) are what make up most of the neighborhood. We came in on an early Saturday evening about 7:45. There were about four tables of customers. We were asked to wait to be seated which is kind of strange in a coffee shop. A very nice girl sat us. Gave us coffee menus then we waited about 15 minutes not sure if we should walk to the counter to order or if she would be back. It was strange as no other customers were ordering. She did return and took our coffee order. We requested a desert menu. Another 15 minutes went by and she took out desert order. Two cheesecake slices. Another 20 minutes went by and finally our cheesecakes came out. Our coffees were almost gone by then. My husband asked if they could heat up his coffee. They said no they were unable to do that. No microwave? Not sure why. The cheesecake slices were still frozen solid and hard to eat with a fork. Coffee was cold by the time the deserts came out. We ate what we could of them and left. This was such an awkward experience for a quiet shop with few customers. The space is beautiful though. Not sure we will return. With tip $44.00 for our order. Quite expensive as well. read more

Okay, so we enjoy coco and blu and I was excited this place opened close to us. I know Coco and Blu is way overpriced, so it wasn't just the sticker shock of paying $25 for two coffees and a piece of banana bread. We went with our toddler, and who is 21 months old. I asked the guy who took or order if they had high chairs and he said no, but pointed to a corner we could sit so we wouldn't "bother anyone." I told him to please pass along our feedback that it's pretty crappy to not have high chairs because it sends the message that families aren't welcome. His response was to roll his eyes at me and say nothing at all. This coffee shop is in downtown Mount Prospect, not Chicago. Despite your vibe, you're not catering to single 20 somethings because they don't live here. If you're going to serve overpriced, mediocre at best coffee, at least have a seat for my toddler so I can pretend to enjoy it without having her sit on my lap. Do better. Train your staff better. And if you want to be this pretentious at least make good coffee so you can earn it. read more

I was here for the soft opening, and I'm very impressed! The food, drinks, and service were all fantastic! It was super busy on the weekend, so I sat at the bar- the barstools are very comfortable, though! I love the interior design. The lights and walls are green (like a canopy) and the furniture is brown like bark. It's an elegant homage to their tree theme, being Maple and all! Coco & Maple in Mt. Prospect, IL opened in November 2025. Today (12/23/2025) was our first visit, and we stopped in for lunch around 11:45 a.m. When we arrived, there was a line and all tables were taken, but the line moved quickly. We were able to get a table for our group of four within about 10 minutes, which was impressive for a busy lunch rush. A quick note for fellow diners: if there are only one or two of you, please avoid taking tables meant for 6-8 people, and during peak hours, try to limit table time to about an hour so others can enjoy the space too. We ordered the avocado toast, Nutella and strawberries toast, quiche, and grilled cheese. For drinks, we had a mocha and chocolate milk. Everything was delicious. Drinks came out quickly, and the food arrived within about 15 minutes--very reasonable wait times given how busy it was. Pricing was a bit on the higher side for the toasts (around $11 and up), but that's expected for a more upscale breakfast/brunch spot. Coffee prices were comparable to nearby cafes like Khepri and Starbucks, both within walking distance. Areas for improvement: It would be helpful to have a sign near the entrance explaining that this is a self-serve establishment--order at the counter first, then find a table, and please clean up after yourself. Also, the menu should be more prominently displayed near the door and at the start of the line. Guests who aren't familiar with Coco & Maple may not realize menus are available near the counter. Having menus visible earlier would help people decide what they want before reaching the register and keep the line moving efficiently. Everything was great, and it was a new business. The service was okay. The only problem was that my hot cocoa took like 10-15 minutes to get ready, but that's just because business was booming there. My experience was solid and that hot cocoa was powdery but good. It also feels like I'm in a big warehouse, so the setting feels weird, despite the fireplace. I loved it, but I also recommend Khepri Kitchen + Coffee and Straw and Bubbles, which is a bubble tea place, and it is GOOD. Go to these places if you live by them. I love this place!! It was my first time the other week and I was lost on where to park, the nice employees there showed me their signs they had that marks where you can park. Very thoughtful. They helped explain their menu, all the high quality ingredients they use for their drinks and food and made it sound even more delicious. I went the first time on a Saturday and it was busy! Stopped by because I love the sister store, Coco & Blu. I really like that Coco & Maple has its own unique brand, brings its own unique style to the table, but still has the great quality coffee! They offer almond, oat, and macadamia nut as milk alternatives. Friendly staff. Line moves pretty fast, but honestly worth the wait to have higher quality coffee than you'd get elsewhere. Been here a few times now and after my 3rd visit now I have just accepted it for what it is. Run of the mill cafe in the suburbs. My espresso is usually sour. I haven't ordered food here many times but everything looks better than what Starbucks would offer so that's a plus. It's a cute place to hangout but the coffee has left me wanting more. Idk if going on the weekends and having younger employees, high schoolers I'm guessing, making coffee affects the quality or not. I have yet to stop in during the 9-5 time slot during the work week to see if there's a difference. Last nitpick, they have nice cups for the hot drinks if you "dine-in" but iced drinks come in a small flimsy plastic water cup which takes away from the experience this cafe is trying to deliver. I appreciate that you can just snap on a lid and take it to go if you choose, but how cheap they are just really distracts me for whatever reason. Not bad not great.
