Barista Tara is a rockstar!! I visited CoCo & Blu the other day and inquired about latte art. I was told that the amazing artist who'd once made my drink had moved out of state, but that everyone else there could make hearts and flowers. Enter Tara, who said she'd try her best to make something special. She delivered an adorable bear on my drink! She said she might be able to do better, but I loved her effort and enthusiasm. My friend and I headed outside to enjoy our drinks on the patio. Several minutes later, Tara came outside carrying another latte. She had PERFECTED the latte bear and gave it to us for free! I was just disappointed with the sandwich. For almost $20 with the gluten-free bread, I expected a little more. It was pretty small, had hardly any cheese or cherry spread, and the turkey was kind of hard on the ends which just wasn't for me. And it was not evenly placed on the sandwich which is pretty important to me, you cant have stacked turky one bite like 4 slices high then nothing on another bite. I am happy to have a coffee shop that is actually open AFTER dinner aka the time I would look for a sweet drink. Ironically, they have opened a 2nd location that is closer to where I live, but the hours haven't quite worked their way up to being a late night spot yet. The drinks are consistently delicious and they have a rotating specialty menu which always delights. I am quite boring and usually stick to the Oatmeal Cookie Latte because it automatically comes with oat milk which is kind to my digestive system. The people I have been with have tried everything from their sugar cookie lattes to their polar bear lattes to matcha lattes. The chocolate chip cookies are also consistently delicious, especially when they warm them up for you. Macarons are a thumbs up according to my teenage daughter. My grandmother has ordered their cheeseball for the table and that was reminiscent of family parties in the 90s. However, we did not like the coffees at all, which was very disappointing. Light, welcoming vibe with a steady stream of folks coming in/out. There were six of us so we sat at the large communal table in the center (think Thanksgiving dinner table). Had to try The Fox because it's not a flavor combination you see often. Surprisingly tasty, although you would not think peanut butter and coffee a natural pairing. It was too sweet for me because I normally have espresso or a cortado, but the staff was nice enough to add some drip coffee to it (to cut the sweetness). If you normally drink flavored lattes, you'll probably be OK with it as served. I'd still try some of the other interesting lattes next time around. The decor is intentionally tacky, like a misfit collection of garage-sale rejects arranged to get within sight (but not reach) of comfort. Unfortunately, form suffers for style, and many of the seats end up being incompatible with enjoying the beverage or food menu because they can't get close enough to the table, or require you to lean back like you're on the space shuttle and ready for the launch sequence to begin. Servers are polite, bordering on friendly, and errors are quickly fixed. Expect a broad age demographic from pre-license youth to 50 Shades of Grey (hair). Between the cozy and varied seating options, the immaculate vibes and updated decor, and the quick service and great drinks! While I was unable to try any of the food at this visit, the breakfast prices are on par with the local area ($15 to 20). I also love the rotating drinks flavors and decor that matches the season! I love CoCo & Blu! In fact! I base any coffee bar that I go to off of this place. I rather enjoy intimate and cozy places. It's not a big place by any means. But, it's warm and has a cool retro vibe that I appreciate. The coffee and food is good . I also like the fact that they serve coffee and alcohol. I came by to cowork with a buddy during breakfast on a Thursday and boyyyyyyy were they busy. Tables were turning and the door was like a revolving door. We were initially using two tables but thankfully we were able to snag a table that someone had just left. The environment was a bit loud for taking calls, but still overall a great change in scenery. For breakfast I got the signature quiche and the cookie latte. While the quiche was in the smaller size for the price that it was, it was delish! To enjoy with it I got a cookie latte. It was certainly on the sweeter side but perfect with the savory quiche. All in all we had a productive coworking session. The main downside is the parking and the limited 2 hours on the main streets but if you're looking for a shorter visit it's perfect. read more

When I meet friends for coffee, I bring vegan margarine with me. On my visit, I ordered coffee and a plain bagel, but I was told I had to order the "Bagel and Cream Cheese" with no cream cheese, so my plain bagel was over $7. I think there are customers who are vegan who would also welcome more nondairy options such as a plain bagel under Bagels and Toast. read more

The prices aren't that bad for the great quality and service. Came later in the morning and got a table inside. It had a good crowd but wasn't crazy busy though. This is easier to order at later on a weekday. Big menu of cocktails and coffee. Last time I got a combination of these. Get the Espresso Martini if needing something to get a buzz. It's $12 but it's strong. This is made with coffee liqueur, espresso, and vodka. As for the food it's kind of expensive too but it's not crazy. The Avocado Toast is a pretty good size. It's $12 but it's a big piece. This came with microgreens, pea purée, pink Himalayan sea salt, pistachios, and radishes. Has to be one of the better restaurants around. We love going to this coffee shop when we're in town visiting family. The coffee selection is great and I love the gf breakfast sandwich! The atmosphere is cute, but it can be hard to get a seat.
