This place is seriously so cute. The outside is cute with little firepit tables, the inside is cute with confy chairs and all differenttables, it was very clean, and everyone was really friendly and helpful. I was so excited to try it, especially since they have gluten-free options! I was just disappointed with the sandwich. For almost $20 with the gluten-free bread, I expected a little more. It was pretty small, had hardly any cheese or cherry spread, and the turkey was kind of hard on the ends which just wasn't for me. And it was not evenly placed on the sandwich which is pretty important to me, you cant have stacked turky one bite like 4 slices high then nothing on another bite. I'd still go back though and try some treats or lattes or something from the bar! They are open later on thurs fri sat and that seems like they perfect time to go back and try again.
Decided to meet a friend in the evening and what a treat . It's a totally different vibe in the evening. It feels fancy and chill music is playing in the background which is wonderful and relaxing . The waitress was sweet and attentive and I really enjoyed the mocktail and the cherries on top . I also ordered the cocktail meatballs which were tasty as well .
I came right when they opened to grab a latte and a breakfast sandwich. The food took about 5-10 minutes to come out, and my latte was ready first. I tried the Lavender Blu, which was a unique flavor combination--interesting, but I would probably try a different coffee next time. The breakfast sandwich was really good and flavorful, and I was happy with the quality overall. The staff was friendly, and the interior had a really nice aesthetic. It is on the pricier side--I paid $24 for my order--but overall, it was a pleasant experience.
What a cute place in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights. It is just around the corner from one of my favorite restaurants in this area, Salsa 17, and a short walk from the parking garage. You can park for free on the street too if staying under 2 hours. It is a nice place to meet and have a coffee or a bite to eat. I only wish the music wasn't so loud as it was hard to have a conversation at times. I was planning to stay and take a conference call but it was too loud for my call, so I left after my meeting. There were quite a lot of people working on laptops during my visit. The iced latte I had was really good and served with plenty of ice, as I like it. Service was fast and friendly. The decor inside is really cute and the natural light from the windows make for a warm and cheery vibe inside.
I am happy to have a coffee shop that is actually open AFTER dinner aka the time I would look for a sweet drink. Ironically, they have opened a 2nd location that is closer to where I live, but the hours haven't quite worked their way up to being a late night spot yet. One star off for the noise level (usually loud!) and the one time I went in there to get coffee to go and some lady barked at me that they do not do coffee to go despite me ordering my coffee to go 95% of the time due to the lack of seating. The drinks are consistently delicious and they have a rotating specialty menu which always delights. I am quite boring and usually stick to the Oatmeal Cookie Latte because it automatically comes with oat milk which is kind to my digestive system. The people I have been with have tried everything from their sugar cookie lattes to their polar bear lattes to matcha lattes. The chocolate chip cookies are also consistently delicious, especially when they warm them up for you. Macarons are a thumbs up according to my teenage daughter. My grandmother has ordered their cheeseball for the table and that was reminiscent of family parties in the 90s. Their summertime setup is great, too--they have multiple fireplaces outside so the ambience is pretty and the noise is less...enclosed. Parking can be a pain, but I will park in the dentist or jewelry spots (I KNOW they are not open at 10p!) and walk over. I still have yet to try their 2nd location, but I hope it is just as good!

Amazing food, very average coffee. We ordered the signature quiche, a breakfast sandwich, a cappuccino, and an iced coffee. The quiche and sandwich were amazing. However, we did not like the coffees at all, which was very disappointing. The cappuccino was just okay and was barely warm when I got it, and the iced coffee (I forgot the name) was very underwhelming. However, the atmosphere is great and I enjoyed my time here.

I will echo the other person's comment about the shop being impossibly full with no where to sit. I got threes after ten am and quite literally had to fight for a table and had multiple people try to aggressively take the second chair to the point I had to lean it and put my jacket on it. Maybe it's time to expand?
The coffee was delicious - bf had the flat white with pistachio milk, which he was surprised (pleasantly!) that they had. My s'mores latte was delicious, too! The service was very friendly, the woman working the cash register recommended their chocolate chip banana bread and it did not disappoint. I gave it 4 stars because it was pretty loud and we didn't stay as long as we intended. There were reviews saying it's a good spot to work but the volume and music was not a work friendly environment for me, personally. I'd still go back again, just not to work or expect a conversation friendly spot due to volume.

one of our fav cafes in AH - it is always popping in here! i've so far gotten the quiche, matcha latte, dessert de jour, and chai latte. all are delicious. the only con is everything is super expensive compared to other cafes but the vibes and friendly staff make up for it! other notes: -not a lot of space for a stroller if you have a baby fyi. -make sure to clean up after yourselves by putting your dishes away! -if you eat/drink in, you get a number after ordering at the register and you find your own seat

This photo was after multiple sips of the mocha, and the foam still was a beautiful flower. It was packed on a Friday morning but I found a spot right at the coffee bar. Staff was absolutely wonderful, as usual.

Barista Tara is a rockstar!! I visited CoCo & Blu the other day and inquired about latte art. I was told that the amazing artist who'd once made my drink had moved out of state, but that everyone else there could make hearts and flowers. Enter Tara, who said she'd try her best to make something special. She delivered an adorable bear on my drink! She said she might be able to do better, but I loved her effort and enthusiasm. My friend and I headed outside to enjoy our drinks on the patio. Several minutes later, Tara came outside carrying another latte. She had PERFECTED the latte bear and gave it to us for free! She made my entire day. Thank you to Tara for the amazing art and for going above and beyond in your customer service!! I can't wait to go back for my next coffee and hope she's working when I do. read more

Came here for the first time on a Saturday. Was fortunate enough to walk into town and walk in here. On a Saturday morning at not even 9 AM. Expect a line as there was a long line when we arrive. Unfortunately there's only one person at the cashier register and I think there's only one register and there's only that one person who's taking the orders. While I understand that this is a small run shop I will say that standing in line and waiting on a Saturday morning really is discouraging. The food however, a super delicious and came out very timely. So absolutely no complaints for me and they also have a water station set up so you can help yourself to water which is fantastic. After sitting around for about an hour to an hour and a half this place got super packed with families's children and strollers which made it even harder to move around. The ambience is fantastic so definitely worth it for your social media. I would come back here again, however I'm not really someone to order alcohol here at this time but for breakfast I think it's great. read more

Light, welcoming vibe with a steady stream of folks coming in/out. There were six of us so we sat at the large communal table in the center (think Thanksgiving dinner table). Had to try The Fox because it's not a flavor combination you see often. Surprisingly tasty, although you would not think peanut butter and coffee a natural pairing. It was too sweet for me because I normally have espresso or a cortado, but the staff was nice enough to add some drip coffee to it (to cut the sweetness). If you normally drink flavored lattes, you'll probably be OK with it as served. I'd still try some of the other interesting lattes next time around. Rest of the group had chocolate chip banana bread (moist and served with maybe a honey cinnamon butter), grilled cheese sandwich, and avocado toast all of which I forgot to snap pics of but we're all solid. read more

CoCo & Blu is a delightful experience, whisking you inside the eclectic world of a hoarder without the danger of a stack of newspapers from 1961 falling on top of you. The decor is intentionally tacky, like a misfit collection of garage-sale rejects arranged to get within sight (but not reach) of comfort. Unfortunately, form suffers for style, and many of the seats end up being incompatible with enjoying the beverage or food menu because they can't get close enough to the table, or require you to lean back like you're on the space shuttle and ready for the launch sequence to begin. Servers are polite, bordering on friendly, and errors are quickly fixed. Expect a broad age demographic from pre-license youth to 50 Shades of Grey (hair). It's usually quiet and pleasant enough to stay for a bit, but doesn't quite grab the brass ring to make itself truly special or exceptional. read more
I came by to cowork with a buddy during breakfast on a Thursday and boyyyyyyy were they busy. Tables were turning and the door was like a revolving door. We were initially using two tables but thankfully we were able to snag a table that someone had just left. The environment was a bit loud for taking calls, but still overall a great change in scenery. For breakfast I got the signature quiche and the cookie latte. While the quiche was in the smaller size for the price that it was, it was delish! To enjoy with it I got a cookie latte. It was certainly on the sweeter side but perfect with the savory quiche. All in all we had a productive coworking session. The main downside is the parking and the limited 2 hours on the main streets but if you're looking for a shorter visit it's perfect. read more

CoCo & Blu is an absolute gem of a local coffeeshop in the Arlington Heights area. Between the cozy and varied seating options, the immaculate vibes and updated decor, and the quick service and great drinks! While I was unable to try any of the food at this visit, the breakfast prices are on par with the local area ($15 to 20). I also love the rotating drinks flavors and decor that matches the season! I had been previously, but this time they had Halloween decorations hung up too. CoCo & Blu would be a great place to get some work done or just have a nice chat in the morning. I am also excited to come back and try some of their more adult beverages later on too. read more

What a fun and eclectic coffee cafe in downtown Arlington Heights! They were celebrating 5 years of being in business when I visited which made me that much more excited to try this spot. Walking in, it was bustling with people enjoying Sunday morning coffee and brunch. The line to order was short and my drink was made quick! I was between the Fireside Latte and Lavender Bleu but staff recommended the latte based on time of year. I really enjoyed the flavor, temperature served, and to-go cup it came in. This seems like a cute spot to catch up with friends or family and I will certainly keep in mind when in the area again! read more

Go to this cafe in downtown Arlington Heights for both caffeine and cocktails, along with a few small bites. It's a charming place actually bigger than it looks. CoCo & Blu is basically a brunch spot judging by the breakfast and lunch items. Earlier it's great for getting coffee along with avocado toast or something light to eat. The prices aren't that bad for the great quality and service. Came later in the morning and got a table inside. It had a good crowd but wasn't crazy busy though. This is easier to order at later on a weekday. Big menu of cocktails and coffee. Last time I got a combination of these. Get the Espresso Martini if needing something to get a buzz. It's $12 but it's strong. This is made with coffee liqueur, espresso, and vodka. As for the food it's kind of expensive too but it's not crazy. The Avocado Toast is a pretty good size. It's $12 but it's a big piece. This came with microgreens, pea purée, pink Himalayan sea salt, pistachios, and radishes. Has to be one of the better restaurants around. It's a great place for groups having cocktails together, or if looking for anything to eat. The breakfast menu has some features such as the Avocado Toast for vegans and vegetarians. read more

The cutest coffee shop in downtown Arlington heights! There's always so many people there and it's such a great vibe- they clearly have the decor part down. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating for work or a hangout. The service is amazing! Everyone is so cheery and helpful and patient! I love their fireside latte (sweet and delicious) paired with a chocolate croissant! They also warm if up for you! If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by! read more

Came in with a friend to chat and catch up. I had the bacon avocado toast and the Fox latte. I was mostly happy that they had a gluten-free bread option which is hard to come by at cafes. The coffee was delicious and not too sweet. The place was very pleasant with enough tables/space to be able to have a sit-down conversation without bothering anyone around that was working on their laptops. read more
I love this cafe! Such a pretty little cafe in downtown Arlington heights. I have been here twice now and each time the place has been busy whether it's early in the day or mid afternoon. The service is quick. You order at the front and they bring your meal to you. They have a really nice selection of coffee and healthy eatables. I tried the Lavender Blu latte and avocado toast and both were a 10/10. The latte was just perfect and the latte art was spot on. The avocado toast was loaded with smashed avocado and I liked the addition of some pistachios on it. It's a great place to enjoy coffee with friends or study and get some work done while enjoying delicious coffee and amazing vibes. Highly recommend . read more

Love the vibe ! It's always packed so be prepared to wait in line and parking is tough since it's downtown Arlington Heights but worth it !! You may not get a table during peak hours so plan accordingly. read more

This is a cute cafe shop with lots of natural light and plenty of seating inside and on the outside. It is located in downtown Arlington heights. This is a great spot for a coffee date, reading a book, hang out to relax, etc. If you're looking for a place to grab your laptop and work out of I'd stay away from huddling up here since there are a lot of windows. I ordered a regular coffee and I really enjoyed it, it was smooth and bold. Had the perfect amount of caffeine to get me through the day. The service was fast, I was expecting to have a long wait time as this place was jam packed. The staff was very nice and helpful. This was my first time there and they gave recommendations that I'll try for the next time. read more

I've never made a reservation. They do have events that may require one.
Is this a good place to work on a laptop, or is it more of a coffee date vibe?
Depends on the time of day and season. Weekends are busy and not a good time to.work. During the week or on cold wintery days therr are tables available to work.
Wondering why they close so early if they also serve alcohol?
That’s a great question! We actually just opened one month ago. We are not serving alcoholic beverages just yet. Hopefully that will begin sometime in March. At which point we will be open on Thursday Friday and Saturday evenings until 11:00! Until…
