Decided to meet a friend in the evening and what a treat . [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a totally different vibe in the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It feels fancy and chill music is playing in the background which is wonderful and relaxing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . The waitress was sweet and attentive and I really enjoyed the mocktail and the cherries on top . I also ordered the cocktail meatballs which were tasty as well .

I came right when they opened to grab a latte and a breakfast sandwich. The food took about 5-10 minutes to come out, and my latte was ready first. I tried the Lavender Blu, which was a unique flavor combination--interesting, but I would probably try a different coffee next time. The breakfast sandwich was really good and flavorful, and I was happy with the quality overall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was friendly, and the interior had a really nice aesthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is on the pricier side--I paid $24 for my order--but overall, it was a pleasant experience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a cute place in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is just around the corner from one of my favorite restaurants in this area, Salsa 17, and a short walk from the parking garage. You can park for free on the street too if staying under 2 hours. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a nice place to meet and have a coffee or a bite to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I only wish the music wasn't so loud as it was hard to have a conversation at times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was planning to stay and take a conference call but it was too loud for my call, so I left after my meeting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were quite a lot of people working on laptops during my visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The iced latte I had was really good and served with plenty of ice, as I like it. Service was fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor inside is really cute and the natural light from the windows make for a warm and cheery vibe inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am happy to have a coffee shop that is actually open AFTER dinner aka the time I would look for a sweet drink. Ironically, they have opened a 2nd location that is closer to where I live, but the hours haven't quite worked their way up to being a late night spot yet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One star off for the noise level (usually loud!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the one time I went in there to get coffee to go and some lady barked at me that they do not do coffee to go despite me ordering my coffee to go 95% of the time due to the lack of seating. The drinks are consistently delicious and they have a rotating specialty menu which always delights. I am quite boring and usually stick to the Oatmeal Cookie Latte because it automatically comes with oat milk which is kind to my digestive system. The people I have been with have tried everything from their sugar cookie lattes to their polar bear lattes to matcha lattes. The chocolate chip cookies are also consistently delicious, especially when they warm them up for you. Macarons are a thumbs up according to my teenage daughter. My grandmother has ordered their cheeseball for the table and that was reminiscent of family parties in the 90s. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their summertime setup is great, too--they have multiple fireplaces outside so the ambience is pretty and the noise is less...enclosed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking can be a pain, but I will park in the dentist or jewelry spots (I KNOW they are not open at 10p!) and walk over. I still have yet to try their 2nd location, but I hope it is just as good!

Coffee and dessert awesome ! The servers and friendly and helpful. It's adorable and vintage inside ! Cute different types of tables and chairs . There is seating outside . Street parking available. It is in the town of Arlington Heights. Will visit again

Amazing food, very average coffee. We ordered the signature quiche, a breakfast sandwich, a cappuccino, and an iced coffee. The quiche and sandwich were amazing. However, we did not like the coffees at all, which was very disappointing. The cappuccino was just okay and was barely warm when I got it, and the iced coffee (I forgot the name) was very underwhelming. However, the atmosphere is great and I enjoyed my time here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First time coming and the shop was super cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Coffee I ordered was really good and croissant was fluffy and fresh with a good sheen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will echo the other person's comment about the shop being impossibly full with no where to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got threes after ten am and quite literally had to fight for a table and had multiple people try to aggressively take the second chair to the point I had to lean it and put my jacket on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Maybe it's time to expand?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

S'mores latte, banana bread, and a flat white
    Stefanie K.

The coffee was delicious - bf had the flat white with pistachio milk, which he was surprised (pleasantly!) that they had. My s'mores latte was delicious, too! The service was very friendly, the woman working the cash register recommended their chocolate chip banana bread and it did not disappoint. I gave it 4 stars because it was pretty loud and we didn't stay as long as we intended. There were reviews saying it's a good spot to work but the volume and music was not a work friendly environment for me, personally. I'd still go back again, just not to work or expect a conversation friendly spot due to volume.

I loved the s'mores latte here, it was very good. I also liked that the latte came in a mug for hot drinks. It gets very busy, but it's worth the wait for a table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is very cute with lots of spots to chit chat with friends, and it could be a cute coffee date spot too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

one of our fav cafes in AH - it is always popping in here! i've so far gotten the quiche, matcha latte, dessert de jour, and chai latte. all are delicious. the only con is everything is super expensive compared to other cafes but the vibes and friendly staff make up for it! other notes: -not a lot of space for a stroller if you have a baby fyi. -make sure to clean up after yourselves by putting your dishes away! -if you eat/drink in, you get a number after ordering at the register and you find your own seat

Look how creamy and thick that quiche is.
    Rebecca R.

I have been here several times and it is always a treat. Today I opted for classic quiche (so thick and rich with a thin, flakey, perfect crust) and mocha (made with house-made gansche). This photo was after multiple sips of the mocha, and the foam still was a beautiful flower. It was packed on a Friday morning but I found a spot right at the coffee bar. Staff was absolutely wonderful, as usual.

Peanut butter chocolate latte (The Fox)
    Grace C.

Light, welcoming vibe with a steady stream of folks coming in/out. There were six of us so we sat at the large communal table in the center (think Thanksgiving dinner table). Had to try The Fox because it's not a flavor combination you see often. Surprisingly tasty, although you would not think peanut butter and coffee a natural pairing. It was too sweet for me because I normally have espresso or a cortado, but the staff was nice enough to add some drip coffee to it (to cut the sweetness). If you normally drink flavored lattes, you'll probably be OK with it as served. I'd still try some of the other interesting lattes next time around. Rest of the group had chocolate chip banana bread (moist and served with maybe a honey cinnamon butter), grilled cheese sandwich, and avocado toast all of which I forgot to snap pics of but we're all solid.

    Domenic M.

CoCo & Blu is a delightful experience, whisking you inside the eclectic world of a hoarder without the danger of a stack of newspapers from 1961 falling on top of you. The decor is intentionally tacky, like a misfit collection of garage-sale rejects arranged to get within sight (but not reach) of comfort. Unfortunately, form suffers for style, and many of the seats end up being incompatible with enjoying the beverage or food menu because they can't get close enough to the table, or require you to lean back like you're on the space shuttle and ready for the launch sequence to begin. Servers are polite, bordering on friendly, and errors are quickly fixed. Expect a broad age demographic from pre-license youth to 50 Shades of Grey (hair). It's usually quiet and pleasant enough to stay for a bit, but doesn't quite grab the brass ring to make itself truly special or exceptional.

    Are reservations required?

I've never made a reservation. They do have events that may require one.

Is this a good place to work on a laptop, or is it more of a coffee date vibe?

Depends on the time of day and season. Weekends are busy and not a good time to.work. During the week or on cold wintery days therr are tables available to work.

Wondering why they close so early if they also serve alcohol?

That’s a great question! We actually just opened one month ago. We are not serving alcoholic beverages just yet. Hopefully that will begin sometime in March. At which point we will be open on Thursday Friday and Saturday evenings until 11:00! Until…

I thought it was delicious and it reheated very nicely the next day. Others at the table - got the salmon, sausage pizza and spicy vodka pasta. Everyone enjoyed. Our server (AJ) was fabulous and joked with the table - he made the experience enjoyable as well as the atmosphere of the restaurant. The hostess appeared wearing a blue-and-white striped sweater hanging off one shoulder like she'd stepped out of an Italian perfume commercial. Around her neck was one of those little cornicello pepper necklaces, dangling just enough to suggest fate had finally decided to throw me a bone. Blue eyes. Not "blue." The kind of blue sailors used to abandon families over. She laughed at one of my jokes. That was all the encouragement my diseased brain required. I immediately conducted a full tactical assessment of the restaurant. The P.O.A. Index... ...was approaching DEFCON 1. Every direction I looked was another devastatingly attractive waitress carrying Aperol Spritzes with effortless confidence. It was like wandering into a government-funded supermodel relocation program. Then... A shadow fell across the table. A man. Our waiter was a man. Christ Almighty. The emotional whiplash nearly snapped my neck. It's like going to the zoo hoping to see lions and discovering the enclosure has been replaced with an accountant named Kevin. There are beautiful women everywhere, and somehow I'm discussing pasta recommendations with a guy who probably knows three different olive oils by taste. Cruel. Absolutely cruel. To his credit, the b@5tard was outstanding. Friendly. Fast. Knew the menu inside and out. Kept the drinks full. Never interrupted. The s.o.b. gave me absolutely nothing to complain about, which only deepened my resentment. The food, meanwhile, was infuriatingly good. The pizzas arrived looking like they'd been blessed by an Italian grandmother carrying unresolved anger from 1947. Thin crust. Fresh mozzarella. Just enough char to remind you that ovens are supposed to flirt with fire, not electricity. The pasta had that unmistakable handmade texture that makes Olive Garden feel like a felony. The cocktails disappeared with alarming speed. By my third Negroni, I was convinced I could hear Dean Martin narrating my life. Walking out, I glanced back toward the hostess one last time. She smiled. For approximately three seconds I considered abandoning my entire life to become a part-time sommelier with absolutely no qualifications. Then reality returned. The male waiter handed me the check. Four stars. The food was phenomenal. The cocktails were dangerous. The hostess should be classified as an Italian national treasure. And our waiter deserves a raise... despite committing the unforgivable crime of existing between me and the waitresses.
