Awesone vibes. Artsy and cute-sy. A gem in the middle of downtown Palatine. Worth the drive from the city. They have pierogi on the weekends too?

Coffee Amazing, Food Amazing, Staff Amazing, and Ambience amazing. They have live music, amazing gifts from local artists, what a beautiful place to bring your family and friends. I come here to work on my computer or enjoy with my children (they have a kids corner). One of my favorite go to places in downtown Palatine!! I seriously LOVE it here!!

Visited the cafe this morning and ordered a large cappuccino. The place is very cute and cozy. The coffee was tasty and the staff is very sweet. I will be back to try some of the baked goods. They look delish!

Super cute place! Adorable ambiance! Very girly! Dog friendly! ( as long as your dog behaves) Staff is great. The cakes and lattes are yummy! We all loved the place including my doggy!

I really like the look of the inside, it's very aesthetic and will likely appeal to these young American Tik Tok/IG girls. However, as Chicago's first Pakistani-themed cafe, I was hoping for a more authentic experience. I know their menu is half American and half Pakistani. I think 95% Pakistani would have been better. The pancakes, French toast, chicken cajun pasta, and chicken club sandwich, people can get that literally anywhere. The Pakistani food you can't. I ordered the paratha smash burger and honey cardamom matcha hot. The honey cardamom was great, not very sweet at all. The paratha was crispy and the smash burger was juicy. I really enjoyed the sauce on top of the burger. I would definitely come back here for that. Service was very friendly and helpful. I would give this place a 4. I would really love to see more Pakistani food on the menu as well as advertised on your social media. The Americanized food catering to Americans doesn't do the Pakistani culture justice.

Let me start by saying this isn't just a coffee shop- they have a fun brunch menu of southeast Asian inspired dishes to compliment coffee, chai, and match flavors! They have some unique combinations of chai and matcha which is great! I have had their rose chai and their honey lavendar matchas. Their puri puris was a delicious snack! They also have. Each place has a theme, or a charm all its own and Grind N Gears Cafe is one of the latter. When you pull up you immediately recognize the place as a former body shop or service station. Not a as station, but a body shop. They have their own small parking lot in front with special motorcycle parking on the sides of the lot. It's a small place. When you walk inside there is a runner leading up to the counter with their case of delicious looking eats and a platform above with an old Indian motorcycle perched looking over the place. To the right of the counter are some toys for the kids, including a kids motorcycle and other funs toys to keep the kiddos busy while their parents enjoy a magically concocted coffee drink by the shops artisans. There are comfy little sitting areas composed of oversized furniture from your parents basement. The front has a few racks of leather jackets that feels like your at The Alley's northern location. They do have some hats and apparel for their own shop and I almost bought a hat. On the left side, they have another seating area, but it looks more like a table in a cozy kitchen than a sitting room. It's quaint no matter where you look or sit. Upon entering the establishment, I couldn't help but notice the ombre colored walls and combined with the chandeliers as well as the pink bistro tables the aesthetics were overall, very impressive. The owner Lauren, patiently explained all of the available treatments and due to the amount of stress I had been under, I was eager to relax and to quiet my mind. I was only in town for a short time, so she graciously worked me into a couple of sessions. I started with the vibroacoustic sensory lounge followed by the red light therapy and finally ended with the quantum crystal bed with biomat. For the first time in weeks, my mind, body and soul were totally relaxed. By the time I left, I was drunk on relaxation and it felt great! I slept like a baby for the next two nights! I really appreciated the unique variety of non alcoholic cocktails and adaptogen beverages available for purchase. If you have not stopped by, do your body a favor and treat yourself.

We went here as it is walking distance from his house and he's been wanting to try it. We arrived at around a minute apart and were seated immediately. The place was pretty busy with families enjoying their meals. Our server immediately handed us our menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. I opted for water and my buddy got the coffee. The menu had plenty to choose from and everything looked good. I opted for breakfast and got a vegetable skillet which comes with came with broccoli, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers and mozzarella cheese. I decided to get no tomatoes. I decided to choose diced potatoes verses the hash browns for the base. I got two eggs over medium for the topping and a side of wheat toast. But I really wanted the French toast. lol. The food came out pretty quickly and looked great! The veggies were delicious and the eggs were cooked just as ordered. I liked the mozzarella it next time I'll ask if I can get cheddar cheese to try it. Nevertheless, it was delicious you can tell the veggies were fresh and the diced potatoes were not under or over cooked. You get two pieces of toast and it was toasted perfectly. The server consistently came by and asked if we needed refills or anything else. They asked my friend if he wanted more coffee. The place was well lit and seating was plentiful. At one point we heard a hotel bell and the servers all gathered and asked the restaurant to sing happy birthday to a customer. It was cools. I really loved my food and enjoyed the atmosphere. More importantly, I really enjoyed having breakfast with my friend and was happy that we were able to catch up.

Restrooms were CLEAN. We definitely will be back.
