We went to The Cat House after my last day before holiday PTO and wasn't entirely sure what to expect. There is a small receiving area with free hot drinks and a cooler of for purchase cold drinks. Upon being greeted we were given the rules to play, and made our way in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was quiet and relaxing, and we enjoyed it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For me personally, I'd have a hard time enjoying it as much with little kids running about, but since we didn't have said little kids (or any kids) we decompressed, played, and just enjoyed the experience very much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a great concept and well executed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Went to cat yoga here and the venue was just incredible![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] These folks have an amazing mission rescuing cats and giving them a new chance at life. The storefront had a wonderful selection of cat themed items for purchase as well as Japanese snacks. You can really tell how comfortable the cats are and how well taken care of they are as they transition into their forever homes.

Was hoping for a cat cafe to open closer to us and was so excited to check this one out! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cats and kittens were so friendly and playful and since it's through reservation, it wasn't packed with people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It felt very nice and intimate with our little group :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Snacks and drinks for purchase upon arrival and there are pins, stickers, shirts, etc to purchase as a souvenir!

I stumbled across The Cat House while in Roselle just by chance. I spoke with the owner, Irene & her amazing staff that were there that day. I went in to check it out for a few minutes and asked if I can buy a session, which is $12.00 for 45 minutes to hang out with the cats. They typically ask for reservations, but they happened to have a walk-in time available when I was there. They also have special events, such as cat yoga, for $20.00 per person. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a very calming, beautiful environment with cats for adoption from Heartland Animal Shelter, in Wheeling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] https://www.heartlandanimalshelter.org/ You can purchase a drink, and snack, if you want. They also have a cute boutique. The cats are mostly free roaming, except for a few that are either new or can be out when a few specific cats aren't out, which is similar to shelters with free roaming cats. I would highly recommend this place for any cat lover!

I have been meaning to to go here since they opened and I finally made some time to stop on by. By far this was the most fun I have had in a long time. I recommend booking ahead to secure your spot since there's limited availability at a time. When you check in you'll have 45 minutes to hang out with the cats. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They provide plenty of enrichment toys and activities for the cats to interact with so it is a very fun and interactive environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Honestly it's so easy to lose track of time since there's so many friendly and sassy cats to play with. If you have time, I highly recommend stopping on in!!

Is this one a keychain?! The kitties go wherever they like so it's a kitty surprise everywhere you look

My first two cats I owned were from Heartland Animal shelter, I have continued to follow them over the years so I began following Cat House's journey excited to check it out sometime. It did not disappoint! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's Super cute & clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Kitties just keep appearing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are lots of toys to play with the kitties.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The stickers and accessories for sale are super cute it was so hard to choose![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love supporting local and a fantastic animal shelter. Make a reservation, it's the perfect way to spend 45 min. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Melt away your stresses watching the cutest kittens play or cuddle with you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to go back again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A very chill and welcoming space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and dedicated to the well-being of the cats. There is a cat type for every hooman. I really enjoyed using the provided cat toys with the energetic cats. My group enjoyed petting a relaxed sleepy cat while we conversed. The merch was various and fun. The snacks are unique and satisfying. The administration price was very reasonable. The only downside for me is the 45 minutes seemed to fly by too quickly. I look forward to my next visit.

I love kitty cats and I like to donate and also buy from the gift shop. For me it's a good time to play or relax with the kitties.

Upon entering the establishment, I couldn't help but notice the ombre colored walls and combined with the chandeliers as well as the pink bistro tables the aesthetics were overall, very impressive. The owner Lauren, patiently explained all of the available treatments and due to the amount of stress I had been under, I was eager to relax and to quiet my mind. I was only in town for a short time, so she graciously worked me into a couple of sessions. I started with the vibroacoustic sensory lounge followed by the red light therapy and finally ended with the quantum crystal bed with biomat. For the first time in weeks, my mind, body and soul were totally relaxed. By the time I left, I was drunk on relaxation and it felt great! I slept like a baby for the next two nights! I really appreciated the unique variety of non alcoholic cocktails and adaptogen beverages available for purchase. If you have not stopped by, do your body a favor and treat yourself.

I really like the look of the inside, it's very aesthetic and will likely appeal to these young American Tik Tok/IG girls. However, as Chicago's first Pakistani-themed cafe, I was hoping for a more authentic experience. I know their menu is half American and half Pakistani. I think 95% Pakistani would have been better. The pancakes, French toast, chicken cajun pasta, and chicken club sandwich, people can get that literally anywhere. The Pakistani food you can't. I ordered the paratha smash burger and honey cardamom matcha hot. The honey cardamom was great, not very sweet at all. The paratha was crispy and the smash burger was juicy. I really enjoyed the sauce on top of the burger. I would definitely come back here for that. Service was very friendly and helpful. I would give this place a 4. I would really love to see more Pakistani food on the menu as well as advertised on your social media. The Americanized food catering to Americans doesn't do the Pakistani culture justice.

Let me start by saying this isn't just a coffee shop- they have a fun brunch menu of southeast Asian inspired dishes to compliment coffee, chai, and match flavors! They have some unique combinations of chai and matcha which is great! I have had their rose chai and their honey lavendar matchas. Their puri puris was a delicious snack! They also have. I ordered 5 coffees one morning, and all the register guy did was write a few names on some cups and placed it down. I understand tipping culture is a divided topic of discussion, but at the end of the day, it is OPTIONAL. After pressing the skip button from what I believe to be non-tip worthy service, he threw a fit and said "Wow you're serious? After I did all that?" Meanwhile all he did was write names on cups. Now I would understand if he was the barista working hard to pump out the coffees, but two lovely ladies were in the back doing that. He shooed me and my friend out of line as we were still processing what he just said. The next customer orders and he had the audacity to talk about us to them while we're 5 feet away. Delusional as he was, he had the nerve to say we were holding up the line and made him do "all that work", and I could promise you, we knew exactly what we wanted to order the second we got up, and took no longer than 45 seconds. We also witnessed he got into it with another customer, so it seems like he's the problem here. Most wild service I have ever received, all for some milky coffees. I ended up tipping the lovely ladies in the back though. Be warned. There are much better spots.

I got the cookies & dream ice cream, which was ok - I couldn't pinpoint what was overpowering the ingredients, but it was unfortunately prominent and lingering. Minus the ice cream, I'm primarily giving this a 3 because of the clean, beautiful space (TVs, games, group and lounge seating abound) and the empanadas. My birria one was phenomenal, and my husband's spinach one was really good. They alone are worth coming back for. One last thing - 2 milkshakes, a scoop of ice cream and a milkshake cost us nearly $50.

I ordered the strawberry letter 43 which was supposed to consist of strawberry ice cream, graham crackers, and pound cake. I wanted vanilla ice cream instead, which they swapped out without a problem. The ice cream didn't have much flavor and was much too sweet. There weren't any graham crackers either. They sprinkle the dust from the graham crackers on top of the ice cream. You're not actually being served graham crackers, which is false advertising. Lastly, the pound cake was dry and hard. It was so hard that it was flaky rather than being moist. It's doubtful that it was homemade either. It's more likely that it came out of a plastic, single-serve container. I took four bites before tossing it all in the trash. My sister had the mango and key lime sorbet on a waffle cone. She opted to skip the toppings. She liked the sorbet but not enough to be a repeat customer. She said the waffle cone was too thin. It broke into several pieces when she lifted it out of the plastic cup to rotate it. The inside of the ice cream shop is cute. There's a large flat-screen TV and there were games on some of the tables. They were playing 90s pop hits on the sound system which added to the vibe. The space is comfortable, and it's clear that someone paid attention to the details, but the product they're serving is lackluster. You're better off going to Baskin Robbins, where you can get two double scoops for twelve dollars. It's a national chain but you're getting a better value for your money. We paid $21 for two single scoops, which for us ended up being a waste of money. Nitro was definitely a one and done experience. I'll stick with Sugar Shack, Kilwins, or Runaway Cow.
