The food is good and fresh... I got a salad and a taste of delicious It's a Walkup counter where you order and pick up your food right down the counter. It was quick service. The place has a music theme. It's clean and presentable.

I tried a restaurant near my house that serves a popular chicken sandwich called Rokko Pollo. I ordered two sandwiches for $41.05, which didn't include fries. The cashier accidentally gave me a bigger sandwich and charged me for it. When I asked them to cut the sandwich in half, the juices spilled and the sandwich fell out of my bag when I got home. Probably won't stop at this place again. No greeting or nothing. I really had high hopes for this place.

What a rip off! Ordered small beef, dipped hot, cheese fries and drink $24? If I would have ordered it through DoorDash I would have gotten the large beef for the same amount. Can't believe I got suckered to driving an hour for a sandwich that was gone in eight bites. When I brought it to the cashier's attention he said "that's what it is and why did I bring up DoorDash?" Won't bother with a return visit. Beef was decent but no heat and very little peppers for the extra buck. Fries were very soggy.

You order at the counter and then wait for your name to be called. I ordered the ribs and coleslaw. I added the blackberry habanero hot sauce and it made the ribs even better. I regret not buying some of their hot sauce to go. Despite not having table service, the employees walked around the dining room and checked on everyone. After seeing what other diners ordered I definitely want to go back and try more. I didn't love the coleslaw but overall Ange's is still 5 stars.

Big Ange's Eatery delivers not only on flavor but on hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out -- genuinely welcoming and generous. Since it was our first visit, a staff member quickly offered samples of their incredible smoked brisket and suggested the Barbarian Platter, which features a variety of smoked meats. We chose mac n cheese for the side which was delicious. The food was excellent across the board, but what really made this a 5-star experience was the way the team went above and beyond. Even after guests had ordered and paid, they continued offering samples of meat and their refreshing homemade orange lemonade. That kind of attention and care really makes an impression. Solid food, standout service -- worth every visit.

Big Ange's Eatery is nothing short of some serious smoked meats and delicious flavors packed into everything they make on a daily basis! We ordered a variety of items and would give them all 10/10! Beef brisket, ribs, smoked pastrami and chicken wings were all tender and flavor heaven all the way through. The meat is lean with just enough fat to keep it moist. Although their sauces were authentically delicious, in my opinion you didn't need any of them as the flavors in the meats were the showstoppers! The food was so good, we went back up to the counter and ordered the eggplant sandwich which was excellent. I counted at least 5 layers of very lightly breaded eggplant, cheese on a light fluffy bun with a beautiful tomato sauce. Onion straws and Mac n cheese were perfect accompaniments. Nice casual atmosphere and caring staff topped this place off as a #1 choice in my books for smoked meats. Big Ange's is the go to place for bbq, good eats and comfort food!

Got the half pound brisket sandwich and it was huge. I could have easily made another half sandwich. The sandwich and the BBQ sauce were both good. I saw someone eating the fries and I'll have to try those next time.

Then it was on to the brisket, St Louis style ribs and some of the best and most interesting sides I've had in a long time. The Sticky Sprouts had the same flavor profile as the Pig Wings, unique and tasty. The mac and cheese was dusted with crushed Flaming Hot Cheetos and the fried green tomatoes were really good too. I didn't have any stomach room left for dessert. I'll have to try the candied bacon n the next time I eat here, which I hope is really soon. One fun note: we had a couple of guests up from Texas, and as anyone who knows barbecue knows, Texans can be very particular about their BBQ. They absolutely loved it, which says a lot! Jay was also fantastic to work with. He called me ahead of time to walk through the order and gave helpful tips for setup and serving. Everything went perfectly from start to finish. I can't recommend Chicago Culinary Kitchen enough. Just phenomenal food and great service all around.

The brisket was plain and cook, maybe it had a Smokey flavor but it wasn't that stood out or having me think about more. The pulled pork was the same, it was pulled but the BBQ or smokiness was missing. If you thought those two were missing flavor, don't even try the baked beans, they were almost to the point of just being boiled and put into a little paper side basket. The fries, come on, we are in the Chicago area, why would the serve frozen crinkle fries, where are the fresh cut fries??? At least the sweet tea was good!! What we got: Mul naengmyun (cold noodle soup) - Hit the spot on a hot day. Noodles were chewy, broth was already seasoned enough that I didn't need the extra vinegar or mustard provided. Japchae - Surprisingly good! Super flavorful, the noodles were great and I don't usually like shiitake mushrooms but I didn't hate them in this one! Galbitang - This one was a little disappointing. It was fine, but we've had it in the past and it was consistently tasty. The broth used to be more garlicky (a good thing that kind of made it unique to this restaurant) and the meat used to be high quality and tender. This time the broth was fine, and the meat was pretty grisly and a bit tough. Not great...made us wonder if they changed chefs/hands? Or maybe it was just an off day... One thing: we ordered to go and we wish they hadn't put the cold noodle soup broth right next to the steaming hot galbitang broth...just wasn't very well thought out when packing. I really hate QR codes and wonder why places just don't print and laminate menus. I went to the bar and actually took a photo of the beer menu above the bar and used that to order the beer. We ended up with a pulled pork sandwich and a chicken chimichurri sandwich. Beers included a sour, a Marzen, and a Kolsch. Very good beer!! My first bite of the pulled pork was one large gelatinous blob of fat!! That right there kind of killed it for me. I am not into fatty meats in the least! I've eaten lots of pulled pork and have never seen that large a concentration of fat in one dish. The chicken sandwich was good and substantial but the aioli was quite drenched on one end of the sandwich and overwhelmed all the other flavors. My plate also was not delivered with a fork or knife. A special request had to be made for that. Waitstaff was great and very helpful, but this will be a beer place and not a food place for us. I may give the food another shot some time, but I'm not in that place now. The fat-blob shock will take time to heal and with some therapeutic assistance, I may be able to try the food again. I quickly ordered the two meat combo with chopped brisket and pulled pork. I got the green chili, Mac and cheese as a side, as well as the classic coleslaw. All right - the ambience was just perfect for a small barbecue place. The food came quickly, but I noted it wasn't quite right. I had asked for chopped brisket not sliced brisket.
