Recently checked out Meat Moot for lunch and was so pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. We were given a table but informed we would need to order at the counter. The person working the counter was incredibly hospitable, and helped my sister and I to better understand portions as we deliberated whether or not to share. I am so glad we did because the portions are huge and come with a plethora of sides! We did the brisket lunch special, which came with a variety of dipping sauces. However it was so perfectly seasoned and tender that it was perfect to eat as it was. Sides included roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, tomato salad, lettuce salad, coleslaw, rice, and giardiniera. Excellent smoked meats! We went in for the lunch special and that was actually the perfect amount. During the weekdays they have a lunch special of with two options: either half pound of brisket or half pound of their lamb shank. We actually got both to share and they were both fantastic! The lamb was so tender and fell CLEAN off the bone. That's exactly what you want with a smoked meat. And the brisket was fork tender and seasoned very well. What is cool about this place is that you can see the meats being artfully smoked right in front of you with what looks like a mini flame thrower lol. You can even pick how you want your meats to be seasoned as they have several choices. I was actually a little hesitant to try the house seasoning as I was afraid it would be too overpowering but glad I was wrong. It added depth to the meat without masking the quality of it. And then there was a mini sauce parade that accompanies every order. You get the pleasure of trying all of their sauces (I think there were 7 total) and some of the sides that definitely stood out to me were the roasted potatoes and their house made coleslaw. My sister and I shared the lunch special and feasted like royalty. First of all, they greeted us kindly at the door and let us pick our favorite table. You place your order at the counter, so that was our next stop. They took great care of us there, and showed us our choice of meat (either brisket or lamb) and how big the lunch portion is. This cemented our decision to split the brisket. They asked about our preference for spices and even let us sample a bite before spicing our brisket the whole way through. After paying at the counter, they sent us back to our table, advising that our food and drink would soon be on the way. We found an assortment of dipping sauces and side dishes waiting for us at the table. The salads were light and refreshing, while all variety of potatoes on offer were especially delicious. Our brisket soon arrived, and it was tender and flavorful. The dipping sauces were hardly needed, but nice for some variety. Along with our food, I also enjoyed the Purple Potion mocktail (lychee, dragonfruit, hint of lavender, sparkling soda, NOT garnished with dried dragonfruit, contrary to the menu). It was pretty pricey for how much beverage you get, like most mocktails, but that said, I really, really liked it. It was complex, lightly sweet, and refreshing. At the end of the meal, even though you already paid at the counter, they bring you a final copy of the bill to sign - that is your opportunity to leave a tip for all of the attentive service. it was an interesting place as you walk in straight into the dining area. You sit down and in order for you to see the menus you had to use the QR code on your phone to view. Since the place is called Meat Moot, they are synonymous with all types of meat from beef to lamb. All their meats are Halal so during our visit, there were a lot of people dining during Ramadan. So what do you do is go to the meet area, select the type of meats you want, in 1 pound fashion, which is great for sharing, and order. You then sit back at your table and your food is delivered to you. There are unlimited sauces, which include garlic yogurt, hot sauce, honey, mustard, barbecue, and several others, as well as unlimited coleslaw, side sale, and some other things. Firstly, just gotta say I hate to give bad reviews. So let me start with the things that we enjoyed, the service was excellent. 10 out of 10. The food was presented well and the restaurant is really cute on the inside. Love the ambience! Saw this online and was really excited to go, anticipated going for a couple of months. We ordered two pounds of the beef brisket but I fear the butcher did us a favor by giving us only one. The food was both dry and flavorless, to the point that it was hard to swallow Soo disappointing and so different from what I'm seeing online. Came to Meat Moot and wow... if you're a meat lover, this place hits. You order your meat by the pound, and the sides are unlimited, which makes it such a good deal. Very odd restaurant concept. They have very limited offerings in my opinion, but at 3pm when we arrived to town it was one of the only options in the mall so we gave it a go. We all ordered the brisket, which was decent, the sides were just meh. You order at the counter and they give you a number so they can deliver it to you. Our server wasn't very good, she didn't bring our drinks with our food, until asked twice, she was more interested in cleaning tables. There were no napkins on our table so I had to get them myself from the service area. Very odd place, will not be back. read more

My girlfriend and I each ordered 1/2 lb of beef brisket which comes with unlimited sides and sauces for lunch. They have got down smoking their meats through the night and it comes out packed with flavor and falling apart with how tender it is. The sides and sauces are overall really good and we love that they make a lot of them in-house. My personal favorites were their potatoes and their chimichurri sauce (I kept hitting the chimichurri as it felt like the perfect combination with the saltier, smoky meat). I tend to prefer my rice being on the dryer side, but I noticed the rice they had during our visit was a bit more clunky (a sign that more water is being used to make it). I'd be curious if that was just a batch issue or if that is typically how they do it. Either way, I guess that's more my preference if anything. As you can see, the place itself is very nice with beautiful booths you can sit in. The guy working also gave us a little show when preparing our platter which was also really fun. They have servers regularly checking in on you seeing if you need refills on anything. The price point is a little high ($60.84 for two of us including tax/tip), but they seem to be okay with you asking for more sides and then packing them home with you if you'd like. Great looking interior and great service. If you and your company are in the mood for meat then this is the place for you. I came for lunch with my spouse and we had a lamb shank and a brisket lunch special. The platter came with roasted potatoes and garlic which had a lot of flavor. The meats were slow cooked and the lamb just slid off the bone. The brisket was fork tender as well. Plenty of dipping sauces and refillable sides although what was given was more than enough for both of us. Excellent place for date night or with a group. We'll be back with our friends. I was seeing this advertised everywhere and was so excited to see one open up closer to me. I went for the lunch special and it was pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful explaining a bit of the restaurant and how everything worked. I got the 1/2 lb lamb lunch special. Mine did not really have any flavor to it, but it was very tender. The honey helped a bit, but still wasn't very impressed. I did have a bit of the brisket that my friend got which was much better. I felt like the sauces were a bit watered down. I might give this another try, but I don't think it would be any time soon. We came here and they definitely have the meat. Brisket, Lamb, smoked and halal. They were very friendly and made sure we were happy with the meat and how it was seasoned. When we sat down, they served it family style with all of the sauces and the sides. All of the food was very hot and fresh. We enjoyed all the dishes. We appreciated that everything wasn't over salted, as some BBQ restaurants can be. Definitely expect a Middle Eastern flare of seasoning. The one thing that could have made things a little better, is if serving sizes for the sides were a little bigger. Yes, they are unlimited. However, we felt, as a party of 3, we kept having to repeatedly ask for more side dishes of potatoes and salad as it was not enough to share among the 3 of us. The smoked Beef Rib and lamb shank were tender, juicy and smoky. Both were flavorful. The lamb didn't have the usual gaminess. Both meats were seasoned thoroughly and fell right off the bone. I really enjoyed the beef rib paired with the honey dipping sauce as well as the mushroom dipping sauce. The honey obviously gave it an additionL sweetness while the mushroom sauce was salty and savory. It was a really enjoyable experience trying all the different sauces. The staff was very attentive and offered drink refills, extra sides, and whatever we needed. The restaurant felt warm and inviting. The high chairs with armrests looked great but were difficult to get in and out of. The chairs were wide and heavy which made them hard to pull out and push in while sitting. Genial but not loud. Both waitresses we encountered were expertly trained on the menu. They not only knew the beef & lamb offerings (Meat Moot is Halal, so no pork!), but described the ordering system and the ingredients and flavors of all 8 of the sides as well as the 5-6 sauces! And sides are unlimited, so if you really like one, have at it! And they're all impeccable! Now, the meat: We had the brisket. It's smoked for 16 hours, and that low & slow cooking insures every bite is infused. And I could make a meal just from the "burnt ends" or do you say "bark?" As for the lamb, we didn't have it, but everyone working there and diners we talked to said it was the real star. And two people can make two meals each out of a pound of either one. We came in after a work out and were a little intimidated by the menu, but the host, Bri, was SUPER FRIENDLY and gave wonderful service! She walked us through the menu and what to expect. She even gave us the option to choose where to sit. Amina, our server, was also very charming and professional. She walked us through all the sauces she was putting on our table and mentioned all the sides and drinks were unlimited. What a steal! We ended up ordering 1 lb of brisket to give it a try. My man and I eat a lot because we're fatties, but even 1 lb of brisket was too much for us to finish! For $50 to have both of our bellies filled AND have leftovers??? What more can anyone ask for? The ambiance is very clean and is great to hang out to catch up after the movies or if you want to eat something delicious. Service was spectacular and I'll definitely be back! My one advice for the owner is to put banners or signs pointing that the restaurant is open because the windows from the outside make the restaurant look closed. This place is such a gem, and just a little bit more marketing effort from the store front to social media can go a long way! Got the beef options for lunch, the restaurant is nice and its a neat concept. Great presentation but I have to agree with the other reviews it would go such a long if the meat was salted/seasoned before smoked. The outside is tender when fresh but once cooled down it dries out fast. I feel like the salt would give it tenderness throughout the whole bite. Sauce helps but with thick meats the sauce only covers the surface. Sides were good and their giardiniera is A+ nice and hot would be good on an italian beef. i ordered the lamb (to go) it arrived absolutely perfect with yellow rice garlic bulbs (many), roasted potato, mashed potato, gravy, side chopped salad, 7 different sauces in little self serve containers, in a huge aluminum tray with an aluminum cover all perfectly seasoned and ready for consumption. This was my first visit and i was totally blown away by the flavors and the presentation. Since I was unaware of the product, my choice was to take it home and work my way through the meal...since i did not wish to share, it took a while to consume this repast...it did not disappoint....you gotta eat here... read more
