Iron Age (Glenview) is one of my favorite dinner spots when we're looking for a night out. There's a large parking lot, so parking is no issue here. I believe they only take reservations for parties of 8+, but even at busy times we generally don't wait more than 10-15 minutes once we put our names down. This is a huge restaurant with a large dining space. There is a huge video screen on one wall and they are often playing K-Pop and top 40 music videos, which creates a very cool vibe. We've eaten here a few times, and every time our server asks if it's our first time, which is great as we've had new people with us, and it was our first time once, which offers an opportunity to learn how it works here. The grill is in the center of the table and everything is cooked by yourself at the table. Each person is also given a set of sauce dishes, and then there are some picked veggies for the table as well (these are delicious do not sleep on these). Our absolute favorite here is the Hawaiian bulgogi, which is so tender and a little sweet, full of flavor and we will never leave without getting at least one round of this. We have also tried the regular (beef) bulgogi, the spicy pork bulgogi, pork belly, the brisket, and the iron age steak. There is some need to know things like pork has to be cooked through and beef can be cooked rare, but it's a very easy set up and process the way the meats are cut and how the grill cooks. All of the cuts of meat we've tried have been high quality and seemed fresh. We've also tried some of the side options, including spicy rice cakes, vegetables, and kimchi. The first time we came we also we given some sort of salad for the table, and that was also delicious. I love the grillable vegetables and the kimchi here is super tasty. While it is described as spicy, I did not find it to be so, but very flavorful. White rice is also served in individual bowls to each person at the table. This is an "all you can eat" situation and we found the price to be incredibly affordable (especially compared to other AYCE restaurants). Although we always leave so full and satisfied, I've never felt leaving grossly overstuffed. The food is delicious and high quality and we have really enjoyed each experience here. The staff are moving quickly and this is not a "small talk with your server" type experience as far as we've had. They have been kind, answered all our questions, and work very efficiently. Iron Age has quickly become a date night rotation staple and we can't wait to come back. Thank you, Iron Age!

I think this place was definitely cute and aesthetic especially with the kpop videos. My friend really liked the songs. The service was good too. Our server was kind and quick to get us new meats, switch the grill, and fill our waters. This place is AYCE and we got the dinner so that was $35 with tax. It just has more meats than the lunch special like we were able to get steak and seasoned steak. The seasoned steak wasn't really anything crazy just like a little bit of salt and pepper. The spicy chicken also wasn't that spicy to us. I think the steaks were really fatty anyways and I would probably prefer to come for lunch. I loved the hawaiian bulgogi though. It was sweet and tender due to the pineapple juice. It also had three pineapple chucks. They have their own sauces. One felt like mayo mustardy, another sesame oil with salt, a sweet thin brown sauce, and a spicy red one. It also came with radishes. My favorite part was probably the salad. The dressing was like spicy and tangy. It was so good. The crunchy lettuce is exactly what I need with so much protein and rice. I did notice many people were there during lunch time so their lunch special must be popular. We still got seated pretty quickly.

I think the name Iron Age is an interesting choice for this AYCE BBQ. It was chosen because of the similarity when people would cook over open fires similar to the Korean BBQ experience cooking on a built in grill at the table. However, very much anachronistic in every other way : loud music, KPOP videos on entire walls/screens covering the entire restaurant, blue lighting, and modern light fixtures. The atmosphere is Electric! The menu appeared to have a wide selection of meats, however, it all felt like it was the same. The bulgogi and Hawaiian Bulgogi was the difference of literally 3 pineapple chunks. The steak and seasoned steak was the difference of the Montreal Steak Seasoning. Regardless, it still satiated the Korean BBQ cravings. The server was friendly and attentive. I was happy that He came to change the grill top several times and fill water/drink orders frequently. I would definitely come back!

I've been here several times and have noticed that the amount of meat they give you varies, for example, the pork. It gets busy here and there is a long wait.

Hey fellow Yelpers! This was my first time going to Iron Age location in Glenview, IL. I went with my boyfriend, my parents, my uncle, & my aunt. We went around 11:30 am - 12 pm and it wasn't busy which was awesome. We were waiting for my parents to come, but the waiter seated us. Customer Service: The staff were friendly. We were seated right away. The waiters were awesome about giving us our food and switching out the grill plate when it needed to be switched out. Food/Drinks: The food was really good! I only had Korean BBQ one other time in my life and I thought it was good, but I think Iron Age may be my go-to Korean BBQ spot. Bathroom: The bathrooms are located towards the back of the restaurant. They were very clean. In the ladies room, there are only 3 stalls. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a great experience at Iron Age at the Glenview, IL location. The staff were friendly, it was clean, & delicious food. I hope this review helps Iron Age in the Glenview location, Iron Age in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!

I've always wanted to go to the OG spot. I've been to the Wicker Park location before and it was good. My experience here was delicious too! This location is pretty big but they can get really busy. No reservations are taken so you may have to wait. Service was quick and efficient! We started with 4 proteins - spicy squid, iron age steak, Hawaiian bulgogi, and porkchop. Followed by the porkbelly and brisket. Every meat was soo good and flavorful! The porkbelly was the crowd favorite. I could've ate like 20 of the rice cakes. I'm also in love with the iron age salad which I got for myself to eat with the meats instead of rice.

Greetings! One component of my Yelp quest is to highlight for you the best of the best, my personal favorite stops in the Northwest Suburbs. Enter the best of the best: Iron Age Glenview. One visit to Iron Age Glenview and you will instantly note that this place hits like no other. It's a cavernous space with an eclectic mix of club-like lighting, a huge spread of tables with built-in grills, and videos splashed on the walls featuring endless K-pop and music. The menu is simple: A wealth of all-you-can eat choices with several perfectly paired sides. For sides my faves are the Spicy Rice Cake and salad. For the meats: Spicy Pork bulgogi, Spicy Pork Steak, and the Beef Brisket. To wash it all down, how about $3/$4 drafts...for me a 20 ounce Heineken...just adds to the joy. As if this isn't enough, Iron Age sets patrons with four spectacular sauces that seal the deal for what is always a GREAT meal each and every time. Service is friendly and attentive...I appreciate their effort. There is a delicate balance between all-you-can-eat offerings and meal pacing. I have enjoyed Iron Age several times and each time I have come away not only satisfied, but grateful that I can eat such a wide variety of quality food at a set menu price. To me, a meal at Iron Age is the deal of the century...and I believe you are getting top quality food at a price that favors the customer's interests. Washrooms are clean and the overall tone of the facility comes across as well run. Iron Age Glenview is a winner, and it is my personal favorite for a sit down meal in the Northwest suburbs. I hope you find that the flavors bring you back again and again. Until next time...tk

Normally when we go get Korean food, we don't do KBBQ. We get the restaurant to cook our food lol. In this case, we were visiting from out of town and my cousin recommended we visit this place and we had the best meal ever. The food was fresh and sooooo flavorful. Their speciality Iron Age steak was so tender. The sauces were delish- love that there was a variety. Also, the sides were amazing- gotta get the tteokbokki! Service was great- they were very attentive to the grill fire and changed out the rack when needed. Ambiance was nice- a little dim with Korean drama playing on the large screen. This was a lunch visit. My cousin said he's done at dinner time and they played a little more lively music.

Korean BBQ is always fun and Iron Age Glenview delivers an experience that does it justice for $30 a person, all-you-can style. What I love - the brisket - the bulgogi - the kimchi - the japchae - the sauces What to know - no reservations - wait list through host on-site or even Yelp (I believe) -quick, attentive service -fun k-pop playing on a big screen in the front of the restaurant - cook yourself meals - lively lounge-like atmosphere - I prefer the Glenview location over the Chicago location My husband and I have been to Iron Age Glenview twice and we love having dinner here!

Well, we finally made it into this place and it lived up to the hype. We really enjoyed our weekday AYCE Korean BBQ lunch for $22 per person. They have a huge space and it wasn't very crowded and we much prefer that situation over waiting up to 3 hours (I was told) on a weekend night. I can see why they have high ratings - the place is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and they have great attentive service, great variety of quality meat and veggie offerings, quite good value, a chill vibe, lively k-pop music, and to boot not much Korean BBQ smell on our clothes after the meal! Turbo was our friendly and attentive young receptionist and server. Wife and I had a variety of their offerings - pork belly, beef bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, Hawaiian bulgogi, beef brisket, steamed eggs, japchae, veggies, and white rice. It was all delicious though we did prefer the beef over the pork meats but they were all nice to try. For what we got, the value here was very good. I know we are Johnny-come-latelies, but this is now our favorite Korean BBQ place and I am sure we are joining many others in saying that lol.

    How much for children?

    Do they serve halal meat?

    No.

Can we dine in alone or does it always have to be 2+ people? Thank you!

Good morning yes you can .. very nice friendly staff and yummy food .. I would definitely dine alone but my kids won't let me..

Hi I need to know if for celebrate a birthday in Iron Age I can bring the cake or you sell it?

Iron Age does not allow outside foods.

Is there a private room or a table for 10 people?

No private room but tables fit up to 12

What time does the kitchen close?

It's pretty ironic. Customers are the cooks, and the "kitchen" is the dining area. However, I understand the question. Typically, the kitchen (or, in this case, the refrigerators) closes at closing time, 11 PM, and doors are locked, preventing any…

    Is this place baby-friendly?

Yes I brought my child many times

What is the limit of people sitting in a table?

Just making sure, are you open for dine-in?

No :( both locations are closed at this time d/t covid. I'm not sure when they're reopen again for business

Can someone post the lunch menu?

It's the same as the dinner menu, they have everything available for lunch. The price is like $20 per person but if their discount is still going on it's $15 per person for lunch.

Is the menu smaller during lunch hours or are all choices available?

I believe all the options are available. Nothing was limited when I went for lunch.

I really liked the natural-stone mini-subway style tiles on the walls. Like a lot of Korean places I have seen, the seats had minimal padding. I think this would be a great place for a date if you're in the area, a prize in an unassuming strip mall anchored by an auto parts store. Food was great, they happily and generously provided more banchan and also gave us complimentary bowls of soy paste soup that was practically jumping out of the bowl. As civilised as I tried to be, using my chopsticks and the cooking tongs correctly, I still felt like I completely stuffed my face like at a trough '^_^ it was all so good. Maybe to accommodate the neighborhood, the banchan was not nearly as spicy as we expected, so that might be great for someone trying Korean for the first time. Some might balk at the prices of some items, such as $24.99 for 1/2lb of raw meat, but we had a very enjoyable time and hope to come again.

For the 5 of us, we ordered the double portion of large intestines, beef tartar, and the bulgogi hotpot. The presentation of food initially was great. I've been to gopchang restaurants in Koreatown in Los Angeles and in Korea. I have not been to one that cooks gopchang in a grill with no outlet for oil drainage. For something greatly oily, it felt uncomfortable seeing it cook in an abundance of its own oil. The restaurant's lackluster solution to all of this oil was to dunk in large pieces of bread to soak it up. This not only looked very unappetizing but was not a successful solution. Additionally, letting the gopchang cook in its own oil, left the gopchang to be "fried" crisp and hard. The bulgogi hotpot had a good amount of meat and vegetables, but was way too sweet. They gave a small bowl of chive salad to a group of 5 of us to share, which we were each able to get very small portions of. They charge extra if you want more chive salad. Overall, a very disappointing experience, could not recommend.
