The crab cakes were good, but the portion was a bit smaller than I anticipated for the cost (I think I paid somewhere in the ballpark of $11). My mom thought the spicy cabbage on the side was too spicy, but I thought it was delicious. As for the deep dish grilled cheese- yes please. Easily the best thing I ate all day. I don't know why pizza grilled cheese isn't more of a thing, because it was fantastic. Well seasoned, a lot of cheese, and a great combination. I think it was about $7. I'd definitely eat from this truck again in the future.

Their perch on Fridays is a favorite with a good-sized 6 pieces to start. If you order AYCE, they refill with 2 or 4 pieces. Sides are always good, especially the asparagus when they have it. Now the not so good! The French onion soup is perfunctory and not the real thing. They've taken clear shortcuts: not caramelizing the onions enough, using croutons instead of French bread, and sticking a slice of cheese on top and microwaving instead of baking the dish in the over. There is an artificial sweetness that has been added rather than coming naturally from the caramelized onions. So I would not recommend ordering the French onion soup.

This place is right there in my top three. I wasn't going to limit myself to one meat, and you shouldn't either. The brisket could not have been any better- perfectly seasoned, smoked and juicy. Ribs: amazing. pulled pork: on point. Sausage link: mmm. Beans and Mac were also winners. If you're feeling blue, or hungry, go see the Doc, I'm betting you'll feel much better when you get home!

The interior is really nice and comfy with a Caribbean vibe. The food is kind of expensive compared to other bbq places in The Region, but I was so excited to try their food. Got rib tips, brisket and four sides for $50. That included a $5 surcharge on the brisket. My experience wasn't all bad but it wasn't all good. First, the sides. We had the green beans, corn, Mac and cheese and yams. The only side that tasted fresh were the yams. They were delicious. I would rate them a 9 out of 10. The only thing that could have been better was a little more sugar. The green beans and corn were cold and bland. I would rate both a 4 out of 10. The Mac and cheese was cold, dry and bland-- not cheesy at all. 4 out of 10. The tips were fresh. A little fatty, but good. 7 out of 10. The best bite we had was the brisket. Unfortunately, for $20 (brisket with one side), we felt ripped off because the portion was TINY!!! We got three little thin strips of brisket about 4-5" long and one piece was literally half fat. Despite the small portion p, it was easily the best brisket I've ever had. The flavor was outstanding...10 out of 10! I just wanted more of it. I was still hungry after eating my brisket. BBQ is usually a hearty meal. I spent too much money to still be hungry.

We thought we would have to wait till we drove to Chicago for good food. This place is welcoming, charming and modern. I ordered the sea bass with vodka pasta and my husband the lamb lollipop with roasted potatos. Both were 10/10. We are very picky and self proclaimed foodies. For dessert we shared the tiramisu. It was good. 9/10 for small size and a tiny bit dry. The flavors were well balanced though. We sat on the Fiori side but had a choice of sitting on either side and can order from both menus. What a great concept.

Their standard menu does not feature their vegan options, so we had to wait for the waitress to come back around again to ask for this. Unfortunately, the Vegan Chicken Breast was crossed off, so I'm not sure if that will be coming back. I went with the Vegan Reuben, a reliable standard, but it was terribly disappointing. It prompted me to pull up my photos from our previous dining experience there, and the sandwich looks so much more unappetizing. The current sandwich is wet, pale, and oddly sweet. The color and texture are so different, so I'm not sure what they've changed from their original recipe.
