Ordered 2 pounds of Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon with a dozen cheesy rolls. The cost was $75.00, the rolls were delicious but the steak tasted like Kerosene. I expected to taste yummy steak & seasoning but the only flavor was the kerosene that permeated every bite. The cost of the filet Mignon & rolls was not a fair value for the $75.00 spent and the flavor was of kerosene & regret. The service was very good & ambiance was nice. This place overall is a 4.5 but I'll round it to a 5 on here. We came here for the $40 summer special. The regular unlimited menu is about $50 Mon-Thurs and $52 Fri-Sun. That's per adult. It was easy to find the restaurant with tons of parking. We had a reservation but we didn't really need it since it wasn't busy on a Saturday night. Just a note, the $40 summer special includes 8 meats, whereas the regular full price includes 11. The salad bar was unlimited, it's not as huge as the corporate restaurants but they do have some excellent quality items. The croquettes were dry and tough. However, I've enjoyed the mushrooms in wine sauce, tilapia milanese, beef stroganoff, lasagna, and salad. Lettuce was fresh. The side dishes were all very good. Fried plantains were sweet and delicious. Mashed potatoes were creamy and not watery. Cheese bread practically melts in your mouth. I could eat a whole basket of those. Steaks were cooked especially when medium rare. The chicken drumstick and chicken breast wrapped in bacon were tasty. The meat cuts easily and it's not bland. Brazilian sausage is always a highlight. Parmesan pork was good. The Brazilian flan was extra but it was superb. Flan is always worth getting. Service was great. If you wanted a specific meat, they would get it for you as well as any sides you want. Our drinks were always refilled. This is still a good bargain even if it's the regular price. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant! We arrived after being told we had to wait 2 hours at Texas de Brazil. The owner, Mario, is so kind and so accommodating. The restaurant was packed and busy but he found us a table right away and had us seated within 5 minutes. Service was excellent, the server was on top of refills and bringing us more cheese bread and fried Bananas. Their salad bar had a good assortment of appetizers and salad ingredients. Their rice and black beans were by far my favorite! The amount of meats that were circulating were impeccable. Delicious, hot and the steaks were at the perfect temperatures. The restaurant is big enough for larger parties of people and also a great ambiance for families or date night. Definitely recommend making a reservation for larger parties. I traveled from Milwaukee to Chicago and was looking forward to a great Brazilian meal after having an excellent experience at a similar restaurant in Miami recently. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment and did not meet my expectations at all. I arrived around 1:00 PM last Saturday. While it wasn't full initially, it got busy quickly, and there seemed to be only one waitress trying to handle all the tables alone. The service suffered significantly because of this. The food was the biggest letdown. I ordered the Picanha medium-well (with some pink), but they brought out a piece that was overcooked, gray, and incredibly tough. I sent it back, and while the second piece they brought had a little pink in it, it was still hard as a rock and nearly impossible to chew. To make matters worse, when they took my plate the first time, they took my utensils too. I had to sit there for several minutes waiting for new utensils just to try the second steak. By the time I was ready to leave, I had to wait a long time just to get the check. Between the poor service and the low-quality meat, I was very frustrated with the experience. This is such a hidden gem! I've been here for lunch before and it's not the usual AYCE set up for lunchtime. It's a la carte and you order off the menu. The downside is that it's not AYCE and there's no buffet but the upside is that you get to order your favorite cut which was the picanha for me. You're also able to order your preferred side dishes and I had the rice and beans with a big bowl of chimichurri sauce. For dinner, it's AYCE which is the usual Brazilian steakhouse style. You help yourself to the salad bar and one of the reasons why I really like this place is because you get hot food items to choose from as well as soup. Don't make the rookie mistake of filling up on the salad bar/buffet because there are meats galore! As soon as you put that green card up, they will bombard you with the assortment of meats in various cuts. The garlic beef and the picanha are my top choices. It's also nice to get the grilled pineapple in the circulation. Between the salad bar/soup and meats, they also give you bananas, mashed potatoes and the cheesy bread as needed. I swear we had at least 5 baskets of the bread. They're so good! The service was great. Everyone was very attentive. They also have a salad bar with a lot of selections. But i didnt really get much because we were there for the meat! Lol. However their Beef Stroganoff is a must try but you need rice with it. I did like their Cream of Potato with Bacon soup. The steak were great but the sausage i still prefer fogos sausage. Located in a strip mall area which can totally be missed as you drive by. There is plenty of parking as there are quite a few other restaurants nearby. We came by for an early dinner on a random Saturday and we're quickly greeted and sat. Once seated we were offered Cheesey Brazilian bread which are to die for. Shortly after oir server came by and explained the lay of the land. We got margaritas and they were buy one get one half off, so between the four of us we each got one. The margaritas were quite strong so we were one and done, but the flavors were delicious. Then comes the food, they have a salad bar which also includes various hot items of apps and certain rice and entrees like steak stroganoff, and soup options. Once you're ready for the meats, you put up your cards and they swing by. And quite literally within seconds the first person came by and they kept coming. We had to pause because we had so much meat on our plate we didn't know which one was which anymore. The meats were super juicy and tender. My favorites were the shaved steaks. At the table they also bring our fried plantains and potatoes. Which were great as well! There were a few other tables there with us while we were all there but it did sort of feel like we were all cramped into the same tiny corner to the point we have to shimmy our ways around because of how close the tables were. I was a fan of it all, especially the garlic steak and the sausages. They also really liked visiting the table, even when our cards were turned down. :) The salad bar had a great selection of fresh veggies, hearts of palm, and mixed salads that complemented the meal. Also, the service here was above average. We were greeted with smiles and all throughout the meal were treated with kindness and attentiveness. We felt welcomed and as if we could stay for hours (we lasted about 1.5). VEGANS BEWARE!!! This is not a place for the person who doesn't like steak. I must have had six slices of pineapple, which is wonderful! To me, that pineapple makes it so much better. We ate at Texas de Brazil and the absence of the grilled pineapple was noticeable. It's not Texas de Brazil, but it is better than Chama Gaucho in my opinion, and I've not yet had Fodo de Chao (which I've heard is the best one) Brazil express seeks to fulfill that quick fix budget Brazilian food flavor, and I think it excels at that nicely. Their beans are great the pao de qejo (cheese bread) is wonderful, and their meats aren't as heavily salted as TdB's but they're also not as tender. Overall, I've been here twice and it's done it's job to scratch that itch for Brazilian meats, but it's never wow'd me. If you're local it's worth a try, but don't expect it to dethrone any of the other more prestigious spots. read more

The staff was very attentive and the manager checked on us throughout our meal. The food was delicious. We started out with the salad bar and then moved on to the meat. As soon as you put up your card to let them know you want some meat they come right over one after another. I really enjoyed the garlic steak and the flank steak the most. I went to Brazil Express last Friday 4/19/24 with 3 family members, it was the first time here for all of us, sadly we were not impressed. I went up to the salad bar which was small, the food looked like it had been sitting in a fridge for quite some time and then pulled out, but I decided to give it a try. From the salad bar I chose the tomato cucumber salad, beets, tilapia ceviche, mushrooms in wine sauce and tabbouleh salad. While I was picking out items by the olives I had accidentally bumped one of the food tongs that they had placed on the ledge and it fell on the floor. There was a server who was a few feet away from me and as soon as he heard the tongs fall he immediately went to pick them up for me. To my surprise he did not take them back to the kitchen and put out a new clean pair, but instead he picked them up off the floor and put them back on the ledge for other patrons to continue using!!! Can we say unsanitary! I went back to my table after that, and put up the meat card. While I waited for them to bring out the meat I decided to start trying what was on my plate. The tomatoes in the cucumber salad were old and soggy, like when they've been pre chopped and refrigerated for at least a day. I moved on to the beets, it's hard to mess up beets right? Wrong, they too also tasted old, and lack the juiciness they normally have. The ceviche had no real flavor other than refrigerator, as for the mushrooms they too were disappointing, they tasted like canned mushrooms that had also been left to sit in a refrigerator. The only thing that was edible was the tabbouleh salad. Moving on to the meats, the first cut of meat I took was the garlic steak, it didn't taste like garlic or any other seasoning for that matter, it was not enjoyable. Next was the top sirloin which was super fatty, so difficult that I struggled to cut through it with a knife, the bits of meat I did manage to get weren't flavorful. Finally to the more enjoyable cuts the filet mignon and the picanha. The filet was a little tougher than other restaurants (I got medium rare for all meats mind you) but was still very flavorful and enjoyable. Moving on to the service, the waitress was very nice, she just wasn't around enough, she would disappear for long periods of time. Everyone at the table was drinking cocktails and we had to request that someone find her on 2 separate occasions as we needed more cocktails throughout the night.
