Shawarma Stop is a nice new tucked away spot in the strip mall across from Oberweiss Dairy. It used to house a sushi place before this. We ordered both the chicken and the beef Shawrma sandwiches with the trimmings and the sauce. Me being a sauce and extra sauce lover, I felt that there was a lot more sauce than I would have liked. Next time I will order the sauce on the side so I can control the portion. They use halal meats and the shawarma is made on the premises by the chef. These are good size sandwiches and could easily qualify for a dinner sandwich. Ingredients are simple with salad trimmings and special in-house sauce. They offer many different flavored sauces depending on your taste. They also have a very nice selection of deserts in a case. We tried the mini cream puffs which were excellent. All these deserts are freshly made daily! If you like dining in, they have a nice dining area that can accommodate an intimate get together to a large family setting.

When I was driving down Schaumburg Road a couple of days ago, I saw this restaurant and today we are going to give it a try. When we first walked in there the door was hard for me to open. There were three people working behind the counter, no one greeted us but they all seemed really nice. The menu is available by the register. They have canned and bottled beverages and free tap water. After you place the order they give you a beeper like device and you take it to your table. The restaurant is not too big. There are only 5 booths and 2 two person tables and one large 6 person table. The booths were dirty, thankfully I carry wipes with me. The Chicken Shawarma was not like any other I have ever eaten. It is bland and the sauce taste like Mayonnaise. Not a lot of flavor and although it was made on a large wrap it was not as full as I hoped. They could charge a little more and stuff it more and I think I would consider trying it again. You could see pickles but the mayonnaise taste was overwhelming. I would recommend ordering it with the sauce on the side. The soup was served in a cardboard to go bowl. They give you plasticware to eat it with. It was just average they left a bay leaf in the soup, I know not to eat it but what if someone doesn't know . Look at the menu, it shows a picture of the dumplings and it does not look like they are in a broth. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. It was served with sour cream so we drank all the broth then added the sour cream on the dumplings and ate it that way. I think we will wait a few months and give this place another try and order something else. The menu does not have many items on it. If you come here make sure you add a review so I can see what you think.

We visited specifically to try the shawarma, and it did not disappoint! The beef shawarma was juicy and delicious; however, be mindful while eating to avoid any spills on your clothes! We also ordered the coleslaw salad, and it was quite good. However, I felt that it had a bit too much dressing for my taste. A lighter mix using vegetable oil and vinegar might enhance the flavors even more. Just a suggestion for improvement! I appreciated the variety of desserts they offered, including profiteroles, eclairs, and honey cake. It would be great if they could consider adding Napoleon cake to their menu as well. On a different note, they had unfortunately run out of chicken noodle soup and kompot due to high customer demand, which is understandable but a little disappointing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I look forward to returning!

The entire menu is Halal. We ordered the beef Shawarma wrap, the chicken, Shawarma wrap, dumplings, and chicken noodle soup. Very flavorful and the portions are big. I highly recommend for a quick lunch or dinner.

Finally -- delicious Central Asian food in Schaumburg! I've missed this kind of shawarma from my childhood so much, and the first bite brought all the memories rushing back. The cozy interior is such a beautiful nod to Kyrgyz culture, and the warm, friendly atmosphere makes you want to stay a while. Shawarma Stop feels like a little taste of home -- absolutely worth a visit!

I'd arrived during the lunch rush, and there was line of folks both waiting to order and to pickup their orders. This is always a great sign in my book! The aesthetic of this space was simple yet thoughtfully decorated. The staff was also really kind and created a warm atmosphere. I really appreciated the simplicity of the menu and how there was a handful of items to order from rather than an overwhelming amount that can cause analysis paralysis. Check out how simple it is! There are four different entrees you can choose from; a kebab sandwich, roll, plate, or box. Onward to the proteins, where you also have four choices: chicken, beef, a mix of the two, or falafel. Then you pick your sauces, choose your vegetables, and BOOM. That's all you need today decide in the have the kebap entree of your dreams. I ended up ordering a beef roll, with garlic and spicy sauce, and all the vegetables minus tomato. I also added on fries and a drink for an additional $3.99. Despite how busy staff was with putting out order after order, I received my order within 5 minutes. And WOWZA was the kebap roll a fantastic size. If I wasn't so hungry, I would've eaten half and saved the rest for later!! The fries were a bit overdone for my liking, but they were freshly fried and made-to-order which I appreciated. The beef roll was fantastic. The ratio of meat to accoutrements was perfect and I loved the medley of sauces. I will DEFINITELY be ordering this meal again the next time I visit.

There are two rooms one that you can sit with the front table to order and another room is full of tables that can also accommodate large parties. The guy was pretty good remembering who ordered what while people were coming in and out, placing orders and sitting down and enjoying their food. To my surprise, the service was quick and friendly we ordered the six piece falafel appetizer which was crispy and hot and the tahini was nice and creamy Hubby enjoyed his grape flavored crush. Haven't had that in a while. When we got our meal hubby ordered the beef and chicken combo shredding pieces on top of rice nice and tender had a lemony taste to it and I had the assorted shredded soft beef on top of seasoned yellow fluffy rice. When we got our meal, it was plenty , especially for the price. We could have shared a plate The meat was nice and tender and the sauce was spot on the season yellow rice yum! It also came with rice (he could choose rice or naan) The Shish Kabob meal includes rice or naan on the menu... but she told us that there is a separate charge for this. She said prices for Halal meat have gone up. She did not charge us this time but will next time and instead of $8.99 for the Shish Kabob meal, we were charged $9.99 which is not a big deal. They also automatically add a 15% gratuity charge to the bill. I have seen a charge like this at other restaurants for large groups but never just for me and my husband.
