This place is owned and run by a family and they are very casual and accommodating if you are nice. So if you are a uptight person please do a take away. The kid at the reception is really nice and always greets with a smile. The food is really good and Fresh. All in all a very good experience.

The man at the front was welcoming and very kind. Nice little restaurant. There isn't very many tables which I don't really care about. I just moved to the area and who doesn't have trust issues with new places nowa days! HAHA! This place is 10/10 recommended!! I gratefully enjoyed the Nahari, Haleem, Chicken Biryani, and Naan

Try the gyros!!!! Gyro meat is fresh shaved off the spit! (YES!!!:)

I've been here a few times now- and my excitement at having this place within 2 miles of my new home is renewed every time. The first time I got some of their goat biryani (AWESOME!!!), along with some garlic naan and regular naan. Biryani=excellent. I'm no biryani connesuere (sp)? But hot damn that was good. Naan- they make this right. In a tandoori oven. Fresh. It's goooood. I'm pretty darn happy just ordering the naan and getting some of that green yogurt sauce to dip it in and eat. That's heaven for me. But then, in my heaven the clouds are made of bread.. Note- my wife and I weren't big fans of the garlic naan. But maybe that was just because it didn't taste great combined with the butter chicken curry (my wife's order). On its own the butter chicken was pretty good, or with the regular naan. Then I ordered a ton of dishes for my birthday party. I can't remember them, but it was some of just about every section on their menu- and it was all great. I've never seen some of my friends eat like that. Plus everyone took some home. That only happens when they like the food:) Most recent visit was today, when I finally tried the gyro. Get. The. Gyros. (At least at some point). Lunch special is well priced at around $7 for a massive packed gyro that puts burrito joints to shame, some tasty fries and a soda. I just finished devouring it. And will now have to think of additional excuses for my wife to let me go to this place more often. Last note- sauce is boss- and this place respects that by having excellent sauces to accompany their dishes

The Din Tai Fung of Illinois is finally here!…read more My family and I have been chasing the high of Din Tai Fung's soup dumplings for years, but there has always seemed to be an absence of restaurants like this in the Midwest. Thankfully, Phat Phat stepped in to fill that gap. We drove 30 miles for a late lunch around 2:30 p.m. to hopefully beat the crowds. There's a huge parking lot in the back, the building itself is incredibly unique, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. It feels modern while still being warm and inviting. We wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we ordered two baskets of the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, the Enoki Mushroom appetizer, Chicken Fried Rice, Phat Phat Chicken, Nasi Campur, and finished the meal with the Mango Sago. Everything was incredible. The soup dumplings definitely filled the void that Din Tai Fung left behind. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. The Mango Sago was the perfect palate cleanser and a refreshing way to end the meal on a hot summer day. The standout for me was the Enoki Mushroom appetizer. That will be a must-order every time we come back. We also have Indonesian family and have visited Bali, so we were excited to try the Nasi Campur. It was spot on. The satay is another must-order in my opinion. Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the rest of the staff were just as welcoming and pleasant. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we'll absolutely be back.

A nice quaint place that you gotta try if you're a local or simply looking for a different flair.

The first is the chicken sandwiches were both inedible because the chicken breast pieces were hard and undercooked. We ended up replacing the the tenders in the sandwiches and throwing out the chicken. They really need quality control to prevent jn the future. I would have rated 1 star but I know they can do better so hoping they use this review to improve their chicken sandwiches and Mac and cheese. Will be getting only the tenders in the future.

What a hidden gem in an unassuming strip mall! We'd been wanting to visit here for a while, and…read morefinally made the trip after a long Saturday out and about. It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. Great stuff!

We have been twice in three months... which is pretty good considering it is really out of the way for us. Both times we ordered Kebap in a bun and a couple French hot dogs. We brought a hot dog home for our son who didn't eat it, the next morning my husband and I ate it cold, right out of the fridge. It was so good. Service is great. The first time we went we had no idea what we were doing. They walked us through it and gave us great advice. Cute and clean.

Alright... it pains me to do this because I don't believe in leaving negative reviews in any…read morecapacity but this feel necessary and earned by the business. My recent visit to this restaurant was the first visit in over half a year. My last visit was quite a bit ago because I was upset at how poorly resolution was for a missed meal I ordered for one of my co-workers. This recent visit as of tonight will be my final visit. I try to see it through and remain a good patron of businesses I appreciate but good service must exist. Do I expect a business to get it correct all the time? No! But I do expect there to be some semblance of competency, grace and determination to find resolve where error was made. Tonight I placed an order for myself and my gf. I received an automated email response suggesting the order would take between 30-45 minutes, which is totally fine. I figured I'd allow some extra time before arriving. When I get to the restaurant, I'm told my order would be ready in another 15 minutes. While I was slightly upset, I didn't let it bother me. I just went back and sat in my vehicle for about 20 minutes. I came back into the restaurant and waited a few more minutes before being called to get my food. Upon stepping to the counter, the lady looked at the receipt for my food almost confused and said "sorry, there aren't anymore beef patties but I can swap that item with another side" I'm not certain if she was aware or not from the kitchen staff that this item wasn't present but it struck me as odd based on her reaction. More importantly, I'm more than upset now but I handle this situation as calm as can be, by pausing to think about how to respond. I choose a side to replace for lack of the beef patty but can't help but notice the price difference doesn't even align. Shortly after making a decision on item to swap, I ask how long ago did that item sell out today. She replies and says, "it's been sold out since around noon" and at that point I just try not to stare or show emotion. While she did apologize for this mishap, it just didn't go over well with me. The lack of communication prior, struggle to find proper resolution for this incident and the previous one. Do you not have a POS system which updates automatically against your live stock? Or being attentive to detail would have helped and a simple phone call would have sufficed had they known this. Btw, the previous incident was an order they forgot to give to a delivery driver, only to blame that driver. I had to drive to the restaurant to pickup my co-workers meal during a busy work day after they realized they messed up and actually left that meal on the side of one of their counters. This restaurant has pretty good food and options for food in general but that alone won't solve your problems running a business if you screw up and struggle severely with customer service. I've come here more than several times in the past but no longer will that happen.

I was hoping to get a gyro burger based on some of the past photos and reviews, but I guess the menu has been pared down. That's when the red flags started showing themselves - They were out of chili. Sorry kiddo, regular hot dogs then - No gyro cone on the spit - Empty drink fridge apart from some juices, bottled water, and Pepsi - When I asked for a cup of water, the lone employee just pointed to the bottled waters - There was one plastic fork left - like, it's dead inside, you couldn't bother to refill it? Despite missing the gyro burger and the gyro cone, I ordered the gyro sandwich anyway, and we also got a chicken shawarma wrap, a hot dog with everything, and a hot dog with just ketchup. I don't know what "everything" means to Palooza, but it doesn't add up to a Chicago dog. No sport pepper? No celery salt? One sad tomato slice? It was an insult to the institution. Feels like they skimp on the fries too. The gyro also felt small compared to what you would get at any other place selling them. The chicken shawarma wrap just didn't taste fresh and was drowning in some kind of sauce. As we left, I asked my wife the question I always ask her when we try a new place. And no, we won't be back.
