Tiny little mainly take out place with 2 small tables. The goat biryani is amazing, there was only 2 bones in mine but both had some marrow in it! Yum! I was in the area searching for Indo/ Pak groceries when I found this carryout food stall. They have few tables for casual dine-in but because that is also where their counter staff relax, it doesn't feel welcoming for the random person that wants to dine-in. It presents as mainly a food stall for carry-outs. The decor of the shop pops with food marketing. Pictorial displays on TV menu boards behind the counter. Their windows are filled with food marketing for zinger burgers and barbecued entrees. (Not to be confused with American BBQ) (If you've never had a zinger burger, these are spicy fried (Halal) chicken sandwiches. They started in India & Pakistan and made its way to the US.) An opposite wall bears a very large menu with many, many items available. Though, as I'll mention below, not all are available all of the time. Another consideration is that this shop has changed hands (ownership) a number of times over the years. So, despite the many pictures on this listing, those items may not be available any longer or prepared in the same manner. Wanted any lamb specialties on menu but at 4 pm on that weekday, none were available. Instead, ordered samosas and chicken biriyani to go. They quoted a twenty minute wait for carry-out and were on time. For the small-ish spend the bag was heavy. The biriyani container was packed full of mixed rice. Samosas were served with a watery version of mint chutney. I'm curious if it was previously frozen or mixed with water to produce more. Too bland to taste. Samosas were nicely crispy but the filling too was bland and just meh. Maybe the flavors are regional and that's why the other reviewers enjoyed the food so much? I'm not sure. One and done unless somebody local tells me what's best of menu to try. read more

This place is owned and run by a family and they are very casual and accommodating if you are nice. So if you are a uptight person please do a take away. The kid at the reception is really nice and always greets with a smile. The food is really good and Fresh. All in all a very good experience. read more

Not a big restaurant like a Chinese takeout restaurant. Few seats in the front area but they are right, Nihari was tasty and lunch hour deal two naan and extra large nihari was a great deal. I've been here a few times now- and my excitement at having this place within 2 miles of my new home is renewed every time. The first time I got some of their goat biryani (AWESOME!!!), along with some garlic naan and regular naan. Biryani=excellent. I'm no biryani connesuere (sp)? But hot damn that was good. Naan- they make this right. In a tandoori oven. Fresh. It's goooood. I'm pretty darn happy just ordering the naan and getting some of that green yogurt sauce to dip it in and eat. That's heaven for me. But then, in my heaven the clouds are made of bread.. Note- my wife and I weren't big fans of the garlic naan. But maybe that was just because it didn't taste great combined with the butter chicken curry (my wife's order). On its own the butter chicken was pretty good, or with the regular naan. Then I ordered a ton of dishes for my birthday party. I can't remember them, but it was some of just about every section on their menu- and it was all great. I've never seen some of my friends eat like that. Plus everyone took some home. That only happens when they like the food:) Most recent visit was today, when I finally tried the gyro. Get. The. Gyros. (At least at some point). Lunch special is well priced at around $7 for a massive packed gyro that puts burrito joints to shame, some tasty fries and a soda. I just finished devouring it. And will now have to think of additional excuses for my wife to let me go to this place more often. I've been going to this place for years but won't be going back anymore. I cant stand a place that cheaps out on sauce. I ordered 3 entrees and it did not come with any sauce at all. When I asked for sauce (Chutney or Raita) they said it was extra but I had already paid. When I insisted I should get some with my meals I was given one little cup. I hope the 25 cent savings was worth it because you just lost a long term customer. Also I know a few others who have had the same issue. Pakistani and Indian restaurants always provide raita, chutney or other types of sauce its always free whether you eat in or take out. Don't cheap out and you won't lose more business. read more

The butter chicken was a disappointment at best. There were literally 5 of the tiniest pieces of boneless chicken cubes swimming in the thinnest soup of a sauce I've ever seen. FOR $10!? One complaint: the hours on the website or through any of the ordering/delivery sites for Sunday is inaccurate: menu offers breakfast and shows as being open from 10.00 but my order from Grubhub had to get xcl'd and credited back because the driver arrived and no one was there. Even on their website it shows 'Open' and allows me to build an order. I write this as of 14.15 (2.15 PM) and still no one is answering the phone. A bit frustrating because rainy Sunday afternoon calls for some Haleem and Frontier Chicken. UPDATED: owner personally rang us about 16.45 (4.45 PM) to apologise and explained he had a personal emergency and since he is the owner of a small personal business, no one was able to open and run the shop. This is my first time writing a review . I would just like to share my heartfelt experience. I had placed a large order for a party for today . However , due to being in the hospital I was unable to pick it up and also had to cancel the event . I called them after returning home and let them know that I would at least like to cover the cost. However , the owner being so kind did not want me to cover anything instead he said I just hope you feel better. I was overwhelmed with how compassionate and kind he was . This restaurant is right across the street and most of the dishes here are really good. The prices are just right and the owner (Mr. Fawad) always gives you a personal touch whether you are ordering a large meal or just one curry. They have their lunch combo boxes and paratha (Frankie) rolls that are very good. Try their Goat Biryani, Frontier Chicken, Chicken Boti BBQ and Beef Nihari. Last week (07/08) m, I gave them a catering order for 25 people for a party at my house. All the guests simply loved the food and it was delicious. We were picking up a carry out at the Thai restaurant next door, and we saw a lot of people came to this place for carry out also, so we tried them the next day. Honestly, I would rate the food around 2 stars, but considered their pretty low price and big portions, I give them one extra star. We have another India Carry out place nearby and their food was much much better but the price was way higher. Horrible service. Ordered from Uber and when we opened our package of food one of our items was not the one I ordered Bhendi masal to be more specific. We called the restaurant and tell the guy we got the wrong one and the guy says" no you got the right one we ran out of okra" so why didn't they just call and tell us your sold out of it so we can change the order instead of just substitute it with something and not notifying us. The paneer was non existent but was fine by me becsuse it was chewy and over cooked. The dish lacked taste. The garlic naan and rice was ok. And you get one tiny raita which was not good. Really do not know what happened to this place. Used to be good and decent service. I tried to place an online order as I had before and two times it was "missed". So i try calling and it rings and rings and rings (around 4pm on a Monday) and someone picks up screaming that they don't open until 5. Even though every single website of theirs, on yelp, grubhub, all say open all day until 10. Then i go on to explain how i tried to place an online order for later pick up (515) and she screams again they aren't open until 5. Came here and ordered the Chicken boti/chapli lunch special, which comes with chicken boti, frontier chicken, seekh kabab, rice and salad. It took them about 10 minutes to make it which says they were made to order and the food looked fresh. The Frontier chicken is by far the best I have had, based on all the restanrants I have been to in and arond Schaumburg.
