We continue to dine here and get our carry outs as there is always consistency in the food being fresh, neatly packaged and generous amount of ingredients! The halal chicken Pho is delicious and packed with a generous amount of chicken, the shrimp pancake was delicious and the dipping sauce along side was perfect. The shrimp fried rice had larger pieces of shrimp and more than other places we've had it. The carryout ordering was super easy and our meal was packed nicely. I recommend the extra veggies and extra fried tofu as it is a really nice accompaniment to the chicken pho. The only small drawback is to be sure to order the pancake when you're dining in. The bottom gets soft when they pack it for carryout which can't be helped. It's still very delicious but prefer it there I'd still give it a 10!

Nice quiet place. We probably made most of the noise while we watched the Bears game. It's a nice simple, quint little place. The staff is friendly. They didn't have the game on and we asked if they could put it on. They may not know how. It was young staff. They let one of us try to find it. Couldn't find it. But it was nice of them to let us try. We were too busy chit chatting that I forgot to take pics of the food. It was good and flavorful. Our table ordered a variety of dishes. 5 of us ordered Pho of different varieties. Then others ordered chicken with rice.

We visited Phoday in Schaumburg recently and ordered the Barbecue Pork Banh Mi, Banh Xeo, Pho, a Rice Plate, and a Noodle Bowl. The Banh Mi and Pho arrived quickly, followed shortly by the Banh Xeo. Traditionally, Banh Xeo is eaten as a lettuce wrap. They provided a small basket of lettuce along with some mint and basil, but the pieces were just too small to properly wrap the Banh Xeo. When we asked for more lettuce, it still wasn't enough to make proper wraps, which was disappointing. Our son's Rice Plate arrived much later, by which time the rest of us had already finished our meals. Waiting for him to eat while everyone else was done made the experience awkward--no one enjoys being watched while they eat. About halfway through the meal, we noticed that two side items normally served with the Rice Plate were missing. When we brought it up, the server explained he was unaware they had run out. The kitchen compensated by adding an extra grilled pork chop. When I asked why we weren't informed of the shortage, the server admitted that neither he nor the kitchen had communicated this to us. Simply adding another pork chop without discussion felt like an inadequate solution. Communication and customer service are crucial in the restaurant industry, and this experience fell short. Food timing also contributed to the disappointment--appetizers like the Banh Xeo should come out before main entrees, not at the same time. Additionally, having our son's entree arrive last while the rest of us had finished further highlighted poor coordination. Because of these service and timing issues, it's difficult for us to give a high rating. We appreciate the food itself, but service is a major part of the dining experience, and unfortunately, Phoday didn't deliver in that area. I'm not sure we'll be back.

Update: Ordered banh xeo, beef pho, pork chop plate, grilled chicken noodle bowl, and banh mi. Pork chop plate came out way later so everyone had almost finished eating and our son got his food last. It was missing two components of the entree and no one said anything until we pointed it out later. Kitchen should've communicated with the server so he could've told us and given us an option to change our order. Ordered banh xeo which is an app and 4 people were at our table with enough lettuce for 1 or 2 people. Had mostly bean sprouts today. Chicken noodle plate only came with lettuce and cucumbers, most places serve it with an eggroll, carrots, and radishes. The noodles were tough and undercooked and cold. Pho here is good, the sandwich was also good but the other items we had are hit or miss. This place costs more than other Vietnamese spots in the area and you'd expect to get more out the food and service but isn't the case lately. Service is a bit slow and staff doesn't really pay attention unless you really flag them down. Had to ask twice for to clear the finished dishes to make room for other food coming. You can get more attentive service, extra touches on the food for a lower price at the other spots. It'll be hard to want to come back here again.

This is by far my favorite pho place in the area. While it's certainly not the cheapest, the foods that we typically order has stayed consistently delicious across the 20+ times we've been here, including our most recent visit! My go-to items are the Bun Bo Hue (I love spicy) with the thin noodles and the Pork and/or Beef Bahn Mi. I usually pair this with an avocado smoothie, which while different than many other avocado smoothies I've had elsewhere (it's much creamier), is still tasty and really rounds out the meal for me. My wife enjoys getting their Banh Khot (savory mini pancakes). The lettuce wrap + banh khot + dipping sauce makes for a satisfying appetizer (or meal if you're less hungry). Portion sizes for everything is decently big and if you like having leftovers, I often find that ordering an extra Bahn Mi is a great choice for lunch the next day.

Had a fantastic lunch here! We ordered pho, garlic wings, a Vietnamese pancake, a bowl, a bánh mì sandwich, and spring rolls--everything came out quickly and tasted incredibly fresh. The flavors were authentic and satisfying across the board. The server was extremely nice and attentive, which made the experience even better. This is truly good, authentic Vietnamese food, and we'll definitely be coming back regularly. Highly recommend!

Pho Day was so good! Got the shrimp pho and friend the beef pho and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and generous the shrimp portion was! Quick service, tons of seating, and just hit the spot. Will 100% be back!

We got this delivered, so I can't speak towards the aesthetic or ambiance. But our food was delivered pretty promptly and right within the timeframe they gave. Nothing leaked, which is impressive considering what we got. It was all very thoughtfully packed. I don't know what everyone else is getting, but wowwee wow! I am so super pleased. The flavors are incredible! I was really surprised. What we got: Bun (noodle salad) - THIS! Order this, please. The lemongrass pork is probably my favorite of I've found in this area so far. Sometimes you can hardly taste the lemongrass, but this--really punches through! It's smoky and got a great char flavor (but it's not burnt! It's not crisped to ash); the pork was so tender and flavorful. I'm still thinking about it! I wish there was more lettuce and cilantro, but they give a generous amount of mint, which honestly is just so good and makes this dish really refreshing. Bahn mi (small) - The bread is the right kind here. It was soft and you could probably toast it a little more if you like the outside to be more crispy, but it wasn't like a thick, dense bread. It was pretty good for this area. The pork is slightly different than the noodle salad--I think maybe there's a peanut sauce?? Not entirely sure, but it was tasty in a unique way I haven't had before. Totally kid approved! Spicy pho (don't know the name but it's usually something like bun bo hue) - My husband ordered this and was kind of underwhelmed by it. But then he realized there was a separate sauce container with magic oil seasoning, and he said that was the missing taste. It was where all the flavor came from! He liked it but liked my noodle salad more. Crepe/pancake - There aren't many places that offer this. It's so good. You make it into a little lettuce wrap, and it's just fresh and delicious. The batter might have some coconut milk to it, and it's filled with some meat and shrimp and bean sprouts inside. The effect is this really nice pairing of soft and tender and crispy textures. Just wish the shrimp was snappier instead of like mushy. But still so good and worth getting because of its unavailability elsewhere. Also, they have some halal dishes! I'm not sure how rare that is, but I thought that was pretty cool and provides more options.

Came here for dinner as we were in the area and wanted pho on a chillier night. First thing I noticed was that the rerestaurant looked really clean and loved seeing the videos of Vietnam's landscapes on the TVs. The service was fast and attentive and the food came out very fast. We got spring rolls to begin and they were wrapped well and everything tasted super fresh. What I loved the most was the peanut sauce that also had what looked like fried onions and pickled carrot and radish. It had a much deeper umami flavor with a slight tartness from the pickled veggies. Both of our phos came out super fast and the bowls had a lot of meat in them. They definitely do not skimp on the meat and noodles! The broth tastes great, however it had a slight sweetness to it that by the end was a bit too sweet. That would be my one and only complaint. Otherwise everything tasted great!

She couldn't reach whoever she was calling, and told us in an annoyed tone that she'd honor it THIS TIME, indicating that we shouldn't bother returning to take advantage of the deal the store is advertising. She didn't smile, didn't greet, and seemed annoyed when I asked her where the sides were listed on the menu board. (The sandwiches on the board said it comes with a side.) Ashley said the sides weren't listed and verbally told me what the sides were. She mentioned soup as one of the sides, so I ordered the soup. When I ordered the soup, however, I noticed an additional $3.09 charge for the item. I thought one side was included like she said, and inquired about the charge. Ashley said the soup side is an additional charge. (The sandwich was $12.19.) I also ordered a desert. Ashley informed me that the desert was $2.50 each instead of the $4.69 or $4.49. I was delighted and let her know. But then I looked at the charge on the screen and it was not showing the $2.50 she mentioned. When I asked about that, she looked and said oh, it's not $2.50. No apology, just an attitude. No eye contact, just a dismissive, I could care less demeanor the whole time. When my order was ready she just said my name, left the bag near the inside of the counter and walked away. I had to reach back in there to retrieve my order. I'm disappointed with the customer service. Additionally, when I looked into the kitchen while waiting for my food, I noticed a woman with brunette hair eating and chomping while turning around and preparing a sandwich on the grill. Not the most hygienic or professional. The customer experience was unpleasant and I'm hoping it will improve because without customers there is no business and no jobs. Regarding the food, if you're expecting the club sandwich to be the traditional 3 decker design, think again. Two slices of bread instead of three makes it easier to eat, but I was disappointed to find one thin slice of turkey.

If you are looking for authentic Central Asian cuisine, Sorry Mama Cafe is a must-visit!…read moreWe ordered the hand-pulled noodles (Lagman), fresh traditional bread (Tandyr Nan), and beef kebabs (Shashlik). The Lagman was incredible -- rich, flavorful broth, tender beef, and perfectly chewy noodles. The bread came out warm, fluffy on the inside with a crisp crust, making it perfect to dip in the broth. The kebabs were juicy, well-seasoned, and paired wonderfully with sliced onions and sauce. The service was excellent -- the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is welcoming, the tea complements the meal perfectly, and the portion sizes are very generous. Highly recommended! And more park lots . 5 of 5.

You absolutely have to try the boorsok--they're freshly fried, served hot with sour cream, and are incredibly tasty. The plov was also amazing, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The gyuru lagman itself was delicious, with great flavor and perfectly prepared noodles. The only thing that could be improved was the meat. It wasn't very tender, and it seemed like it either wasn't cooked long enough or wasn't the best quality. Aside from that, the dish was very enjoyable. Overall, it's a lovely place with great hospitality and authentic, delicious food. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

My first Yelp Review of 2026!…read more Kicking off the year with Kai Mom's K Food To Go -- and I'm so glad I finally tried it after seeing all the buzz. They have quite an extensive menu offering both Korean & Chinese entrees. It was tough deciding what to choose but we ended up ordered the Jjampong + Jjajangmyeon combo, Pork & Stir-Fried Squid, Galbitang, and Soy Garlic Fried Chicken (Bone-in). Out of everything, the Jjajangmyeon was the clear standout. The flavor was so good that I'd honestly come back just for that alone. Absolute comfort food. The Jjampong didn't quite hit for me -- it wasn't bad, but it felt a little bland and lacked the umami I usually look for. I've had better elsewhere, so I'd probably skip that next time. Similarly the Pork & Squid stir fry just didn't pack the right punch for me so I would pass too. Other highlights were definitely the Soy Garlic Fried Chicken and Galbitang. The chicken was packed with flavor, perfectly crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside -- a must-order. The Galbitang was comforting and hearty, with about four bones in the soup, super tender meat, and a clean, soothing broth. The space itself is small with only four tables, and we lucked out getting one. It has such a cozy, homey feel -- like you're sitting in her kitchen while she cooks you a homemade Korean meal. Service was excellent too; they checked in often and kept our drinks refilled. Overall, a great start to my 2026 food reviews. I'll definitely be back -- especially for that Jjajangmyeon and Soy Garlic Fried Chicken. I can't wait to try more of their dishes.

I also highly recommend their fried chicken and dumplings! Whenever I don't know what to eat, this is my go to spot. It's only 2 minutes from my office, so super convenient. Great food and great location, definitely is one of my favorites in Schaumburg!
