I SAW A MOUSE CRAWLING INSIDE THIS RESTAURANT! AFTER ALREADY SEEING A ROACH IN THE BATHROOM. I dined here on 8/7 and was seated near the bathroom/hallway leading toward the kitchen. I first saw what appeared to be a roach in the bathroom and tried to brush it off. Then I saw a MOUSE crawling inside the restaurant. My food had just arrived, I took one bite, and immediately lost my appetite, not to mention ton the food looked like it was a dollar store microwaveable dinner! There were also mops and piles of clothing/belongings sitting in the hallway near the kitchen area, which only added to my concerns about cleanliness. What made it worse was the response. There was no manager available, staff acted like I was making the mouse up, refused to take my concern seriously, and still made me pay for food I couldn't stomach eating after what I witnessed. Seeing both a roach and a mouse during ONE visit is enough for me. I have filed a formal health department complaint requesting an inspection. I would absolutely not eat here again. read more

Best place to get noodles in Hoffman Estates. It certainly has lots of these. Asian Noodle House is authentic as it gets. Has limited room even though a lot of tables inside. This gets especially busy at lunch. A lot to choose from. It's got a lot of noodle styles as well as whatever else is put into it. The menu is mostly meaty with beef, chicken, and seafood. Hard to find anything without it. Thankfully they made a custom option for us. It was about $12 for the Udon Noodles. We got it with tofu and vegetables. It turned out pretty great. There was a light spiciness. Certainly it's among the best of the many authentic Asian restaurants around. It's located on Roselle at Higgins. What feels like sitting in a small lunchroom or like a church basement (not a dig, that is a great vibe), the food is out of this world. Extremely fast with a huge menu, I was so shocked about everything. Waitstaff serving free hot tea along with water, food being ready in probably 10 minutes, this place does not mess around. My bill was $30 and I felt like I majorly splurged considering what I bought! I loved the fried chicken, as well as my lo mein. Ordered the curry laksa here and it still stands for me that the southeast Asian food is the best here if you're up to try it. Was not too spicy even though it looks red, had good amounts of chicken, shrimp, boiled egg, fish cakes in it, and had two types of noodles (seems like lots of south East Asian dishes use two types of noodles in one dish). I enjoyed the whole bowl from start to finish. I do wish the chicken was a bit more tender, but still the meal was delicious. On to trying more of the southeast Asian part of the menu here. And like always, we were seated immediately, and the food probably came out around 5 minutes after we ordered. There were far too many employees working for how empty the restaurant was, and it felt like we were being watched throughout the entire meal. They hovered around our table, stood nearby with nothing to do, and cleaned plates the second we finished. Although they were attentive with refilling waters, the constant presence made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. The menu is very extensive, just like many Chinese restaurants, and the prices are extremely affordable. There are plenty of options, including appetizers, noodles, fried rice, rice platters, stir fry, pho, chow mein, and a variety of sides. Anyone could find something that sounds good. For my appetizer, I ordered the crab rangoons (six for $4.95). Mine were delicious, crispy, and had plenty of filling, so I really enjoyed them. My friend ordered the same thing but hers had noticeably less filling, so her experience was not as positive. For my entree, I ordered the beef and broccoli served over fried rice. The fried rice was tasty, but the beef and broccoli were drenched in an overly thick sauce that overwhelmed everything. The texture of the beef was extremely chewy, so I ended up eating the broccoli and rice and leaving the meat on the side. My friends had similar issues with their dishes. One of them disliked the texture of the meat and the heavy sauce, while the other enjoyed her meal more than we did because I think she ordered a noodle dish that did not have heavy sauce. I especially enjoy the combination udon, which has a variety of meat and shrimp coupled with yummy noodles. What a find in Schaumberg! This is a traditional Cantonese Noodle shop with noodle soups, fried noodles, and rice plates. They threw in a section of Pho as well, which tells me that the owner is probably Cantonese from Vietnam. The ambiance of the place is like...what ambiance? Lol it's a very traditional Cantonese "dai pai dong" which means sidewalk cafe. I got the Roast Duck and Wonton Noodle Soup and my son got the Seafood Rice Plate. Everything came exactly as I expected. The duck was on point, wontons were fresh and handmade, and the broth was pretty close to what you'd find in Chinatown. The only things negative to mention were that they drowned the rice plate with their white sauce, and both dishes had ample amounts of MSG, which is of course par for the course. Well for what it is, we will still come back. Next time we'll try the BBQ Pork on either rice plate or in a bowl of noodle soup! read more

The broth was exceptional and the chef worked quickly to deliver our meal. Overall, the prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious. We went with mapo tofu and a large bowl of dumpling soup. The soup was huge and came with a good amount of dumplings, which our toddler also enjoyed. I was surprised to see the mapo tofu also came with a small bowl of dumpling soup. The mapo tofu had a bit of spice to it, but a good ratio of rice to tofu and sauce. Service is also prompt and polite. Ambience...well not much of it, but honestly that has its own charm too. They're here to serve great Chinese food and that's the top priority. Plenty of noodles, i actually couldnt eat all of it. The crab rangoon was perfectly fried and there was a fair amount of filling. I'd say its more crab heavy rather than cream cheese. I definitely prefer more cream cheese in mine but it was still good nonetheless. I'd order both items again. For $10 soup and $6 crab rangoons, you cant really beat the price! I ordered my Coconut Slurry with 1/2 the normal amount of sugar. Perfect! Creamy enough but not so sweet to spike my blood sugar. On the table they have a fiery chili oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce and Sriracha. So you can spice up you noodles to the heat you prefer. The decor here is homey. We were in the area and I did some research on Malaysian food and so glad we stopped by for the first time after my doctor's appointment. It was soooooo delicious!!!
