Two slice perfection

Wow what a slice, actually 2 slices cause I hit the BOGO half price happy hour. So crispy on the bottom, and hot like lava. Would definitely go back again, especially for the good Brooklyn banter from behind the counter.

Really good pizza, garlic knots and service. Cool little spot with a good amount of dining space.

Delicious pizza! The best in Downtown Brooklyn. Trust me you'd want to try all the slices. I've been here a couple of times and I'm truly obsessed with the flavors. I love the grandma Sicilian slice with added pepperoni. It has fresh garlic and herbs with a perfect small ratio of cheese. The Bianca pizza is also delicious. Those are my go to pizzas. Did you know their beef Pattie's are melt in your mouth delicious? Beef Pattie's are usually all the same but for some reason, their beef patty is top notch. I prefer it from here than anywhere else. Here's where my 5 stars came in, aside from the immaculate service and food, My Oh My, they sell these super soft and mouth watering chocolate chip cookies. Eat it while it's hot. Trust and believe you'll be back for more than just pizza.

We were helped quickly. The pizza was thin and crispy, just great all around. No complaints here :)

This was a quick stop for us on the way home. Ordered a slice of pizza and it was good. Service was the usual wait and a regular Brooklyn pizza spot type vibe.

Had both a white and pepperoni slice. Quintessential pizza dive. Great crust. Would gladly go again.

Phenomenal pizza. Just devoured a couple of their margarita slices with red pepper flakes, and all the flavors and textures were perfect. Crispy thin yet chewy crust, sauce with pizzazz. Amazing firm, thin, flavorful cheese, and dashes of pesto and olive oil. The service was quick and super friendly, and there's even Wi-Fi and plenty of seating! It's nice and clean and low-key well-lit atmosphere. $4.50 a slice. Highly recommend!!

Wanted a quick and easy bite and this didn't disappoint! I wasnt sure what to expect but the pizza is perfect! Crispy thin crust and delicious ingredients. We had four slices and the margarita was my favorite with buffalo chicken ranch as a close second. Definitely recommend!!! Update: Came back here two more times for the Margarita pizza in that same trip!

Margherita! 12-13" radius. Best Margherita I've had. The basil oil isn't v conventional but the taste is classic and executed to perfection.

The best pizza I've had in this city and at an incredible price point. If you like your sauce to be a major component of the taste I don't think there's a better place to go... Piz-zetta has an incredible herby tasty savory sauce and they use it liberally. Service is real fast, I walked in and the maker asked what I wanted--margherita--and he made the whole pie (composed it!) on the spot and it was out of the oven and sooo gorgeous in less than ten minutes. Ambience is like... not a sit down restaurant, you just buy your slices and eat at a high table--but it's bright and cheerful and clean and enjoyable. Looking forward to the next time I'm in the area!

Medium pepperoni pie -- literally looks like I got it from Costco
Ifeoma U.

The reviews saying this place is amazing are either lies or by people with low standards for pizza. Because I saw good reviews I decided to order from here last night. I looked at the menu online for options and pricing and then placed my order on the phone, where I was very clearly told $19 for a medium pepperoni. My order arrived about half an hour later and I was charged $21 + tax. I was confused and asked the courier about the price difference and he said he didn't know either. I called back and didnt reach anyone, but today I called again and was told there's a different price online versus on the phone. I asked why and was told it is because third party services charge more, such as doordash -- I would understand if this were not *your* official website, and there is no third party service connected to it so that excuse makes no sense. I would have been willing to shrug this off if the pizza were good, but it genuinely wasn't. There was too much cheese, it was very oily and salty, and the crust was too dense and had no crisp to it. I had to put the pizza back in the oven to brown the cheese and make it taste "done". Bad representative of NY pizza. When I tell you I was *shocked* when I opened the box. Patsy's would never (and neither would I have if Patsy's were open).

Our meal featured a variety of entrées, and everything was delicious. The bronzino was a standout, while the ribeye steak earned rave reviews. FIL tried the Ribeye Steak and my MIL had the Wild King Salmon which they liked, but I thought their highlights were their homemade pastas. I loved my order, the Tagliolini with Maitaki Mushrooms and Tiger Shrimp in Cream Sauce - delicious without being too heavy. My husband enjoyed the Squid Ink Tonnarelli Allo Scoglio which had a spicy kick and my SIL liked the gnocchi. My daughter has an egg allergy and I appreciated how the waitress made efforts to double check with the kitchen which menu items were safe. They were able to accommodate with a spaghetti with ragu sauce for my kids to share. Dessert was alright. They were very sweet with birthday candles and singing a song for my FIL. My husband loved the affogato. The tiramisu was decent. The crème brulee was an interesting chocolate orange flavor. The kids didn't care to finish their chocolate cake though, which was pretty dry. All in all, it was a great dinner. The pasta portions were smaller than expected but they were delicious and feels just right if you get some appetizers and pizza as well. Would return again for the pastas.

Piccola Cucina Casa is a charming, modern restaurant, and overall I had a pleasant enough dinner,…read morebut there were enough small issues that the experience landed closer to average than exceptional for me. The first issue is the arrival setup. There is very little room to wait inside, aside from a small area near the entrance, so depending on how busy it is you may end up waiting outside. More awkwardly, there did not seem to be a dedicated host stationed at the front during our visit. The people handling seating were farther into the restaurant, so you have to walk partway through the dining room to figure out whom to speak with, only to then be directed back toward the entrance. It is a relatively minor design and operational issue, but it makes the arrival feel less polished than the room itself. The restaurant is otherwise attractive and has a lively, intimate feel. My cocktail was fine, but not particularly memorable. For dinner, I ordered the paccheri ai tre crostacei with langoustine, lobster and shrimp. The seafood itself was enjoyable, but the pasta struck me as undercooked rather than simply pleasantly al dente. The food also came out extremely quickly, to the point that the meal felt rushed. I cannot say whether the speed directly caused the pasta issue, but taken together, the pacing and the undercooked pasta made the dish feel as though it could have benefited from a little more time. A practical note about the dish: it is very much a shell-on preparation. There was shell with some of the lobster as well, so anyone who dislikes dealing with shells should know that before ordering. Also, although lobster is included in the description, I would not order this expecting a particularly generous amount of lobster. It is better thought of as a mixed shellfish pasta rather than a lobster-forward dish. We did not order appetizers, so I cannot pretend this was a comprehensive survey of the kitchen. That is one reason I would not make sweeping claims about the restaurant based on this meal alone. Nothing about the evening was disastrous. The restaurant is appealing, the meal was perfectly edible, and there were things to like. But between the awkward check-in setup, the rushed pacing, an unremarkable cocktail, and pasta that seemed undercooked, I also did not leave feeling that I had experienced something especially memorable. For me, this was a solid three-star dinner: pleasant and somewhat above average in atmosphere, but with enough execution and pacing issues that I would have difficulty rating the experience higher based on this visit.

Overall it was good, but the combination needed better balance. The gorgonzola had a pretty aggressive bite, and paired with the saltiness of the prosciutto it became a little much. There were some greens underneath, and once I incorporated those into each bite, they mellowed everything out considerably. I actually think the greens needed to be treated as part of the dish rather than essentially garnish. For my entrée I had the special, a risotto with clams and octopus. The octopus was easily the best part. The clams were extremely small and pretty average, to the point that I'm not sure they added much to the dish at all. The risotto itself was also surprisingly bland and not particularly enjoyable on its own. Mixed with the octopus, however, it worked much better and became a genuinely enjoyable bite. That's ultimately where the dish felt a little uneven: the strongest component was carrying the rest of the plate rather than everything working together. Service was fine when I arrived, but became noticeably slower once the outdoor seating filled up. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor sections, but appeared to have only two servers, with the hostess also serving and a barback supporting the operation. Once the patio got busy, most of the staff's attention shifted outside and the indoor dining room received considerably less attention. Nobody seemed lazy or inattentive individually. It simply looked understaffed for the number of tables they were trying to cover. One additional server during the busy period probably would have made a substantial difference. And, admittedly a minor thing, an Italian restaurant having limoncello but no amaretto was disappointing. Nothing here was terrible. The appetizer had good ideas, the octopus was quite good, and the meal had several enjoyable moments. The food and service were just inconsistent enough that I couldn't quite call it a strong three-star experience, but it was close. I'd put it around 2.75 stars, which I'm comfortable rounding to three.

Of course, we did what we always do; showed up without a reservation haha... It was packed, and the hostess told us the was no way they could seat us. Defeated, we went outside ans sat on a bench trying to figure out our next move. Then the unimaginable happened. One of the people running the floor passed us outside, started chatting with us, and said, "let me double-check". A few minutes later, he came back and got us a table! He make sure we understood that we only had it for a short window bc they needed it back at a certain time -- but we got at least hour and a half to enjoy it so we were THRILLED. To us that was more than enough. He really went out of his way to make it happen, and honestly wish I remembered his name so I could give him the credit he deserves. And the service from there was outstanding. Even though we knew we had a time restriction, we never felt rushed or hurried for a second. Everything felt relaxed, attentive, and perfectly paced, which made them whole experience even better. Once we sat down, we started ordering as quickly as possible. The grilled clams were insanely good -- flavorful and with just the right little kick. The Nduja & sungold tomato toast was surprise favorite. The tomatoes were so juicy, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Simple, but SO good. The little gem salad was fresh, crunchy and exactly what we needed in between all the richer dishes. For pastas, I had the mafaldini with parmigiano, one of their signatures, and it was delicious. BUT... I have to give the win to my husband's pick, rigatoni alla diavola. I know they are completely different dishes, and Im usually a white-sauce kind of girl, but there was something about that bold, spicy flavor that just HIT THE SPOT. And dessert... The vanilla soft serve gelato and the warm rasberry tart together were the perfect combination -- creamy, warm, fruity, and just the right way to finish our lucky dinner. Lilia was absolutely worth the wait and definitely lived up to the hype. Another Brooklyn spot checked off the list -- and one I'd happily go back to.

For mains: the sheep's milk agnolotti was not for me, it was oddly sweet, I'm honestly not sure why it's so popular. The rigatoni and gnocchi were very good - the rigatoni was perfectly al dente paired with good flavor and the texture of the gnocchi was perfect. Highly recommend ordering these. Dessert: they definitely don't skimp on the dessert, we each got our own but the gelato options were definitely shareable. They also had amaro options which I always appreciate but didn't get this time. The space was a little cramped indoors though that didn't bother me as much as the temperature. It was a really hot summer day and I don't think they had air conditioning? Or if they did it definitely was not at an ideal temperature as I didn't feel like there was much air circulation.

I came to New York to celebrate her, so this dinner was supposed to be a special part of that trip. The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate, and initially, everything seemed promising. We were seated near the front, which wasn't our preferred location, but we didn't have a reservation, so that wasn't my main concern. I also appreciated that the bar was showing the Eagles game, and my friends really enjoyed the mussels and the drinks were good! The biggest disappointment was the service and THE FOOD WAS EVEN MORE. We had three servers throughout our visit, and the first two stopped assisting us without a clear handoff or explanation. They seemed irritated by our questions as we tried to understand the menu, including options we had seen online but not in person. We weren't familiar with everything being offered and would have appreciated some patience and guidance. Instead, I felt uncomfortable even trying to choose a meal. And I understand it's like a family based restaurant you know- so I expected the warm feeling of an Italian kitchen. Well NO. Our third server was much more patient and helpful, and I truly appreciated his effort. He orchestrated singing to my friend for her birthday(which they do for all birthdays ) and took a picture of our group, giving us some sweet memories from the evening. Unfortunately, by the time he took over, much of the damage to the experience had already been done. As for the food, I sent back the pasta e fagioli because it contained prosciutto. That could be my bad. Later, after discussing options with our third server, I received a pasta dish in chicken broth that was essentially a soup. It may be a traditional preparation I'm unfamiliar with, but it wasn't what I understood I was ordering or wanted for dinner. I ended up without a satisfying meal, although I did have a French 75. But like I've never seen this dish and like idk. I also asked for chicken scampi, but also was informed that scampi's only for seafood and they refused to make it because culturally not appropriate and I respect that as well but putting that out there as well. So then to get this from going from wanting an authentic pasta dish it just blew my mind. I do appreciate the third server trying to accommodate but like seriously what was this? One friend ordered the lasagna, which I would personally rate around a 6 out of 10. Another settled on spaghetti and meatballs after becoming frustrated with the ordering process. My friend who ordered shrimp scampi hadn't understood that it came with two sides rather than pasta. She ordered pasta separately, but felt it didn't complement the dish well. Not to mention that she asked for spaghetti noodles and they brought penne. I believe . I'm just confused like we didn't feel like we were being heard . Clearer explanations could have helped us make choices we would actually enjoy. It's just crazy because I really expected this to go perfectly and there's such great reviews and it's like what happened here.? If you're considering visiting, I recommend reviewing the menu beforehand to make sure it suits your needs. Be aware that some items we saw online weren't on the menu in person, and there were additional offerings we hadn't seen online. It may also help to call ahead and ask about the current menu and daily specials, although I can't speak to how readily they answer the phone. Our bill came to approximately $400, mostin our group left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. Spending that much on a birthday dinner and leaving so disappointed was incredibly frustrating. Three of us honestly wanted to send our dishes back, but in the spirit of our friends birthday, decided to just eat it up and try to enjoy the night to the best of our ability. I on the other hand on any other night might have caused more of a fuss. I can't speak to why the first two servers treated us that way, and I won't speculate about their intentions. I can only speak to how the service felt: unwelcoming, impatient, and uncomfortable. The space itself was cozy, but the energy of those interactions made it difficult to enjoy being there. I'm grateful to our final server for his patience, the birthday song, and our group photo. Those moments mattered, especially because we were there to celebrate someone special. But even with those bright spots, the overall experience was a 0 out of 10 for me. This reflects our personal visit, and based on that experience, I would not return.
