The following is a timeline of facts, no opinion. 6/1/17 - Our contractor agreed to terms and paid in full for two kitchens (Sierra Quartz countertop, Shaker Cabinets, and two sinks). Original delivery date was scheduled to be 6/14/17. 6/14/17 - Delivery Delayed 6/16/17 - Cabinets delivered, countertops rescheduled for 6/19/17 6/18/17 - Received a call 1 hour before closing that our countertop (Sierra Quartz) was not available and had to choose a new countertop the night before it was suppose to be delivered. (Our floors and fixtures were already chosen and installed based on the Sierra Quartz) We also confirmed the sink sizes that would be installed on this date in both kitchens. 6/19/17 - Countertops no showed, no call to contractor 6/20/17 - Countertops installed, but wrong size sink was installed in both kitchens. Pius switched the kitchen sinks. In addition, one side of the countertop was left raw and unfinished, installers flooded the work site, and left cigarette butts all over. 6/21/17 - The manager told me it was our fault the installers (hired by Pius) put the wrong sinks. We should have supervised them, even though they were working off of the plans drawn at Pius. The manager also said it was because we ordered the cheap countertop that one side was left raw. The manager said there was nothing Pius was going to do. 6/22/17 - We called Pius several times without a call back. 6/23/17 - My wife had to go in person to get a hold of somebody. At this time Pius accepted responsibility for incorrect install and drawings. This is something they could have told us over the phone. We could have demanded both sinks and countertops be corrected, but our timeline was already messed up and this was for a rental, so we just needed one to be corrected since they put the big sink in the small kitchen. Second installation was scheduled for 6/27/17. 6/27/17 - Pius installed the wrong sink again. Pius took responsibility for installing a shallow bar sink as the kitchen sink on accident. Third installation was scheduled for 6/28/17. 6/28/17 - No showed, no call. 6/29/17 - We made numerous calls to Pius and were not able to talk to anybody. 6/30/17 - I had to go to Pius in person. Third installation rescheduled for 7/1/17 between 3-4pm and I left my personal number for the installer to call me when they were on the way. 7/1/17 - Installers supposedly showed up at 10am and called our contractor, not me. We were not home because we expected them at 3-4pm. Finally got a hold of one of the owners, Diane C. She promised she would be on-site on 7/3/17 to make sure correct installation on 7/3/17. 7/3/17 - Correct sink installed. Black sharp granite shards were left evenly scattered on our driveway. Nothing on our job site required back granite at any point. 7/3/17 - Pius tried to offer resolution of $200 and comped delivery and a signed contract to not write negative reviews or file any complaints. Their reason for the low ball was because they believe we got good price and should have only had to pay for one sub contractor not two. It was not our fault that they had to hire more sub contractors to fix their own mistake. We sent a counter offer detailing the timeline of events and "negligence," which was denied. Oh yea, their snobby rejection email said that I should be careful with my use the word "negligence" because there are four elements to prove negligence. read more

Horrible customer service and follow through on orders once placed - just horrible. And the atmosphere while shopping here feels like a morgue or like all employees are bitter RANDI: Thanks for responding. Very bad customer service. They are supposed to be cheaper but they are not cheap. They are supposed to have good customer service but it's all a front, terrible customer service. The quality and workmanship was also not what I expected. The installers didn't install properly and after pestering them for a couple of weeks they finally came back to finish the job but didn't quite finish it still. In the end, I had to pay a handyman to do the job right. I definitely won't work with Pius Kitchen & Bath in my future remodels. If you are a contractor and will do all the installs yourself, then it's probably an okay place to get your materials. But if you want them to do it for you, you're in for a ride. UPDATE: I wanted to mention that customer service is "okay" when you drive up and go to the store, but as soon as you have to call them, good luck with that! Also, I originally meant to give 2 stars out of 5 not 1. Going down to the warehouse to pick out our slab was a total nightmare. read more

The counter top looks absolutely stunning but the hole cut out for the sink actually underlaps the undermounted, stainless steel sink instead of overlaps it by a good 1/4" (even more in some places). Unfortunately that mistake overshadows the beauty of the actual material when people come over to see the newly remodeled kitchen. Probably 75% of the people that come to see the new kitchen comment on the fact that the counter is supposed to overlap the sink, not underlap it. I regretfully didn't know enough about the proper installation of undermounted sinks to bring this up during installation as I relied on the Pius installers to do a professional job for the installation as a whole. I am giving two stars mostly because how much focus and attention the sink area actually gets. But not a 1 star because I haven't been disappointed by the rest of the installation. read more

I have utilized Pius a few times along with other cabinet and slab companies in Seattle. The prices are hard to beat for the quality that you get. Katina the sales person was awesome in dealing with and did a great job designing my kitchen for me. I would highly recommend that you call her for kitchen or bathroom design and cabinets. The cabinet installers were fast and did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. The slab guys were a little disorganized and were late, but they got the job done nicely. I think that dealing with a company like Pius requires the homeowner to be more hands on during the project. They cater more towards contractors that do this regularly. Because they offer less hand holding the prices are better. read more

Update: there are cracks in all the seams now. Customer service is ignoring me. I'm telling everyone I work with to stay away from this company. 1 Star for the slab, it's beautiful. The service after purchase was terrible. So terrible I'd never recommend this company to anyone. We were told we'd be able to pick out the slabs on the day of install. This was important to us as we were our own interior designers. However, on the day of install we got a call from the installers and they were already on their way with the slabs. We have a long L shaped counter with a waterfall. I was hoping they'd pick slabs that would piece together as seamlessly as possible, but they didn't. And on top of that, they cut and pieced the slabs together in a way that made it jarring. I understand we picked quartzite and the lines can't line up, but they pieced very dark pieces against very light pieces and it's jarring. I could have overlooked this, but the seams between pieces was also amateur hour. I was expecting thin clean lines, but instead got wide, uneven, and rough cut. The seam at the cook top varies in width and the cut at the L bend is jagged and not straight. And the waterfall? I was originally mad that they picked such different pieces that it looks less like a waterfall and more like two different pieces slapped together (again, quartzite, I get it, but they didn't even try to consider the design). I'm more mad because it's not even a 90 degree angle. The water fall is slightly slanted. No attention to detail. And finally, the sink isn't centered with the window. It's off by about two inches. They didn't consult or ask us what we wanted to do here so they just lined it up with the cabinet doors. Everyone knows it's easier to move a window than it is to adjust cabinet doors... Overall just sloppy inconsiderate work and their customer service eventually ghosted me. So now I'm here warning you all. Don't do it. And if you do, be very involved in the install process because they don't care about their work post purchase. read more

They not only have the best prices, but also the best customer service. We've been dealing mostly with Emily who's so nice, prompt, knowledgeable helpful and friendly! Everything was ready on time as promised, It only took one week to do all the cabinets white miost other companies need at least 2 weeks up to a month or a month and a half. The quality is great! No imperfections in the paint or manufacturing of the cabinets. No delays or misunderstandings either! When we ordered the wrong size for one of the cabinets they promptly took it back without questions and gave us the new size instead. When Emily isn't there Tara is helping so we don't have to wait for Emily. Tara is just as wonderful as Emily! It's such a pleasure to work with them!!!! When I needed help with a bungee cord I couldn't take off the trunk a young man working there promptly jumped and helped me. Tara followed to see if there's anything she could do to help! Tara also promptly called to clarify some things I should have thought of. She was so nice and pleasant about it! You couldn't find a better service at a 5 star hotel!!!!!!! The countertop installers still need to install the countertop backsplash. I have been waiting 2 weeks for this to be done.

Last year, we completed a large renovation project (expansion and room additions), followed by a kitchen remodel this spring. In both cases we used Pius for countertops and cabinets. The 4 is due to cabinetry and previous service. The cabinetry comes with some flaws here and there, and made from cheaper material, but this is also reflected in the low pricing. These flaws are likely not seen by a casual observer, but my eye goes right to flaws and can't unsee them. I do want to highlight my experience with Pius this year, which included kitchen upper cabinets and a replacement of last years counters (bathroom and butler pantry, poor material choice on our part) and new kitchen counters with installation. Elijah was a big help through the process, ensuring we had the right amount of counters, yet not too much, to complete the job. He was responsive and helpful during each visit (the others weren't as reviewed by others). We chose the Pearl Fantasy quartzite counters. We were a little concerned about what we would receive due to the high variation in the stone, but Elijah arranged for us to go to the warehouse and pick out our slabs. He also arranged for the top gun crew to come out and install. I was thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail and support they provided onsite. They asked all of the right questions to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. He even went as far as recommending we replace the planned two corner pieces with a single wider piece for a cleaner look. While we did have to pay more, it made sense. One of the crew members drove all the way back to the warehouse, FaceTimed the lead so we could approve of the slab, and brought it back. Another major plus was how they managed the joining of the two island pieces, making it look as close to a single slab as possible. He looked at the pattern, cut and joined them to match up as best as possible. Lastly, these jokers showed out by even cutting two extra trivets for us. Completely unexpected and a nice touch. All measurements are exact, and no issues. Very happy with this round of support from Pius. read more

I had a great experience working with Pius. My husband and I purchased Quartzite for our kitchen and bathroom countertops. Sophie was our sales person, and she was very helpful. When we realized we didn't need a slab for the laundry room, she put a lot of effort into adjusting the size of the slabs that we needed, to save us money; and we were promptly refunded the difference. She was very responsive any time I called, and arranged two visits to the warehouse so we could pick out the slabs. Unlike other reviewers' claims, we got the slabs we chose. I was excited to check this place out for our home renovation. However, when we walked in, it was like visiting a zoo of miserable employees. When we arrived, no one looked up, no one greeted us, no one even acknowledged we were there. Cool, I thought, they just want to let us browse undisturbed! How thoughtful! Then we actually needed help and went up to the counter where not one but THREE employees sat playing on their computers. One asked if he could help us and we said yes. Hooray! We'd been noticed! Not so fast (picture someone faking you out on a hi five). He said he was actually busy and waited for one of his colleagues to jump in. The guy who lost had to help us, apparently. He couldn't have looked more disinterested when we sat down, eager to shop with him. He yawned through the *entire* process (is that a disorder? Maybe it was a medical thing??), didn't offer a single creative idea, shot ours down, and altogether acted like he couldn't wait to get back to Minecraft or whatever else was so absorbing on his screen and SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING than, you know, doing his jobby job. At one point we needed to see the difference between two cabinets and he could barely summon the strength to lift his arm and point out which was which, so we could walk across the room and look. Maybe he was severely anemic. Maybe he needed a nap. I dunno, but it was depressing! The cabinets and counters are nice - similar to those at other stores nearby. They're also apparently about 2x the price. I was ready to pay for the price difference if service was great, but if this is how they are during the sales process, I wasn't hopeful. I couldn't wait to get out of there. What a weird vibe. And I had I started to feel a yawn coming on... We left and ordered everything we needed elsewhere. Again - cabinets are similar everywhere you go, so your edge is gonna be in your service. On the way out, I noticed a coffee machine in the corner, so maybe they can give their employees access and...problem solved??? read more

These folks did a fantastic job. My father originally hired a different contractor who made a mess of our kitchen remodel. He ended up breaking two slabs of granite and some cabinet shelves, later walking out on the job. Anadtazia over at PIUS on 4th AVE S helped my dad to schedule an appointment with their team to finish the granite counters along with the cabinetry. They had everything delivered personally on the same day and also cut us a deal. They were extremely professional and accommodating, I couldn't be happier under these circumstances. We purchased our cabinets from Pius Kitchen and Bath. While the customer service in their showroom can be hit or miss, we really had a great experience with Mike. He was easy to reach, over the phone and via email, throughout the process. The one big downside - we ordered Sierra counter tops and they went from back ordered to being switched out by the manufacturer. It was annoying to have to pick another counter top, after we had submitted the order weeks earlier. The countertops were delivered on a Saturday. Their warehouse opens at 9:00 and their trucks leave between 10:00 and 10:30. Our order was delivered around 2:30 pm and we received a call about 30 minutes prior. They delivered the cabinets quickly and without damage. The cabinets were installed last week by Chui. He was an absolute pro! He made quick work of the installation process and showed up exactly on time. I really appreciated his workmanship. When he discovered missing parts, he called Pius who quickly had it delivered before he was finished. We received the countertop the next day and two gentlemen went to work. Strange thing - I never got a call from them on when they were coming (in advance or day of). They were quick and did a great job cutting the material and installing. While Pius had told me to expect 24 hours before use, the countertop installers assured me 6-8 hours was sufficient. The counters look lovely and it's great to have a usable kitchen, again. They look amazing and while the quality isn't similar to what you'd see in custom cabinets, their price makes up for it. Minus stock availability issues, we had a great experience, especially compared to how bad things can go wrong with construction. read more

Just warned, stay away Pius. The only reason we choose the Pius is that they install the sink on our new house originally. But we already feel very uncomfortable given so many negative comments on Yelp. Our job just is to simply replace the bathroom sink. We scheduled many times, they simply don't show up and without contacting us. On the day they finally come, after replacing the sink, they just left without connecting the water pipe. I've used Pius for three home remodels. Price is right, material is right, installers are efficient. I used them for a recent kitchen install. I asked them to not glue down the window sill, which they did, and then this had to be broken to put in the new window a month later. I contacted them and they said I must be lying about the sill being glued down because the installers stated they didn't glue it down. Why would I lie? Literally glue and shims are still attached to the sill. This is TERRIBLE customer service and makes them untrustworthy. read more

Came during my most recent trip to Seattle with my cousin to help him pick out cabinets for a renovation. I must say when I first got here I was a little worried based on what the place looked like from the outside. However after going inside, I was happy surprised at how gorgeous the showroom was. We were greeted right away when we got there and was shown around. The staff made great recommendations and we ended finding something we really liked. Poor quality and after-sale customer service is not good. We purchased a set of cabinets from Pius for our kitchen and bathroom remodel. Despite competing offers from nearby stores, we decided to go with Pius because it was the first store we visited and the sales manager was helpful with answering our questions. What a mistake! Almost 50% of the cabinets shipped from Pius had doors and drawer fronts with some kind of quality issues such as minor but clearly visible scratches and dents. The customer service agreed to make exchanges, but the warehouse staff was not very friendly and derided us like it was our fault for making too many exchanges. Furthermore, we had to make two separate trips to the warehouse because they were not careful the first time around and gave several replacements of the wrong size. After all the cabinets were installed, we found out that several cabinets have serious door alignment problems. The left door hinge was installed half an inch higher than the right door and could not be fixed by simply adjusting and fine-tuning the door hardware. When we explained the issue and showed the evidence to the Pius staff, a couple sales persons agreed that it was a quality issue caused by sloppy workmanship at Pius and went to discuss with the sales manager about offering some credits. However, the sales manager flatly denied the responsibility and even tried to blame the issue on our contractor, which we all know is factually false given the evidence. In the end, our contractor had to drill holes in the brand new cabinets to fix the misaligned doors. Overall, Pius didn't treat us fairly for the troubles we went through and refused to issue even token credits for their quality issues. read more

I just used Pius to order cabinets and granite countertop for my kitchen remodel. The whole process was relatively painless. I took some preliminary measurements, showed up at the showroom and told the salesperson, Amber, that I was looking at the lowest price cabinets since I was selling my home. She pointed me to a selection of maple cabinets which actually look great with the rest of the house! I said I liked them so then she took my measurements and drawings and started to sketch out a layout. While I was waiting, I was told to choose a countertop (granite or quartz). After a few minutes, I returned and realized that some of my initial measurements were incorrect. The salesperson had some questions and I took some action items. But she priced out what a first draft would look like, showed me a 3D view and printed out the plans. I could take these home to check my measurements. I went home and re-measured the dimensions. I was able to email Amber back and make the modifications. We worked a lot over email and she was very prompt with the replies. My contractor told me later on that he didn't do the granite install, so I was able to add a granite installation at a very reasonable price to my work order. The prices are very competitive. I compared the price to Evergreen Cabinets which was my contractor's preferred supplier. However, they were not able to come close to matching the price I got at Pius. Pius also provided me with a 25% discount off the cabinets for placing an order within a time window by ordering both the cabinets and the granite. You can pay by credit card, and you don't need to do further haggling like at other places. Very painless! When I was ready to place the order, Amber told me that a cheaper granite selection was actually in stock and I could change my selection if I wish. I did, and am very pleased with it. it took a little over two weeks for the cabinets to arrive. Karin at Pius called in advance to confirm the delivery. The only thing I wish for is that the store have their delivery guys call the customers with a time window or to let them know that they are on their way. I waited from 7am until after 2pm before my cabinets arrived; I really had no idea when they would arrive despite having asked for the delivery guy to call me. The delivery man was very helpful and patient with me, allowing me to open up the boxes to examine them and make sure they were correctly delivered. They were also very careful in placing the cabinets on my laminate floors avoiding to scratch or scuff the floors and walls. The cabinets came with a few minor defects like a missing drawer face, cabinet door, and a few chips. I must say that the customer service is awesome. i took some photos, visited the showroom and after a conversation with Amber she advised emailing them to management. Within a few days, Pius was at my house fixing everything. My contractor was unable to install the cabinets before my scheduled granite countertop install date, so I called Karin and rescheduled the day before to push it out another few days. She was very courteous throughout the process. On the day of the countertop install, I had asked the installers to call me an hour prior to arriving at my home. They responded that nobody told them to give me a call, but luckily I was working during the day just 10 minutes from my home and was able to hurry back. After the countertop was installed and my contractor concluded his work, I realized that a cabinet door did not open fully nor did the drawer face open because it was blocked by my dishwasher. I had asked my contractor to fix it but he did not. Very frustrated with him, I did not want to deal with him any more for this project. This place is reasonably cheap... But even with the contractor discount it is hardly cheap enough to be worth the pain in the butt to go through them. Last 2 times I went here they magically forgot my name on the wait list and after waiting for an hour they decided to ask if I needed help and admitted to somehow skipping over my name on the list..... Like I said at least they are cheap. For tile I would recommend going next door to the tile shop. For cabinets you can pay 5 percent more and have some actual customer service at many other locations. So when you are really trying to pinch Penny's and you don't value your time. This is a great place. Personally as a general contractor and flipper I wouldn't go here unless I'm getting a large kitchen and bath remodel. It's just not worth it if your getting a small order. Plus side the sales girls are very nice and good at there job. You just need to be loud so they know you are waiting or they will forget about you. Wear a bright orange shirt and walk around a lot. Don't do it to yourself. Unless you have the time and patience for: - wrong cabinets in the wrong boxes - damaged cabinets that they have clearly tried to repair - missed countertop install appointments not once but twice. Our countertops were hours late but no one at Pius answers the phone. The next day the installers showed up 2 hours early when I was still at work. They followed up 5 hours later asking if they could come back at 7pm in the evening or the next day... as if they would show up on time. I was blinded by the price and even at the lower price received less than what I paid for and more frustration than necessary. I won't make this mistake again. read more
