I scheduled an appointment for Black Friday about 4 or 5 days ahead of time. I used their online scheduling page. Within minutes, I got confirmation via text message. Then, every day after that, they sent me another message, including the day of. Then, an hour before the appointment, they sent me another confirmation message. My wife and I drove to their location, and there was nobody there. I figured someone might show up at the exact time, so we waited. About 10 minutes later, I get a phone call from a rep from Abodian. They told me that the company was closed for Thanksgiving holiday. You must be kidding. It is 2024, and the technology is there to prevent this. 1. They should be using a scheduling service that allows blackout dates. 2. They should be sending the text or email notifications to not only the customer, but whomever is supposed to be taking the appointment. 3. They should be updating their hours of operation so that they are accurate on search engines. When I searched, they showed the location was open that day. Then, to top it off, they rep told me on the phone how the company was going to make it up to me and that I would get a call on Monday. Not only did I not get a call, but I have not heard one single word from Abodian since that Friday. Hands down, the worst experience I have ever had with a company. It is bad enough that you wasted my time, but no follow up after the fact. I strongly encourage anyone to look elsewhere if you are looking for cabinets. read more

Overall we are disappointed in our Abodian experience and will not be using them again or recommending them. This is a long post because our experience with them dragged out and took from the initial install date in early July to mid-October to finally be complete. TLDR; the quality of the materials generally came out as we expected when choosing wood veneered cabinets, but the customer service, quality control, and expanding timeline with this project was not worth the stress and end result. -- We contracted with Abodian to design and install new kitchen cabinets. The design and scheduling phase of our project went well. The designer listened to our needs and was able to implement some custom requests that helped maximize our kitchen space. Delivery and install for our cabinets was scheduled for early July. At the time of delivery the drivers notified us there were two cabinet faces missing, and unfortunately they would need to be reordered. This did not affect the overall scope of our project and were ok with having those pieces come later. (Abodian blamed the delivery folks for losing these pieces.) Installation began the day after delivery. Initially this went ok but there were some miscommunications by the designer to the fabrication team, so two more items were not able to be completed and we had to wait another week for the installers to come back. The installers came back, installed the pieces they were not able to initially (except for the lost cabinet faces) and drilled the holes for our drawer pulls. They left without double checking that any of the pulls fit correctly, which resulted in all of our drawer pull holes to be off and not able to be installed. Abodian then scheduled their service tech to come out the next day to try to install the pulls that we knew did not fit. The tech was nice, but initially pushed us to either buy new pulls or accept him drilling the holes bigger to fit the pulls. This felt unacceptable to us as doing this would then have the drill holes showing around the pulls. The tech took these notes back to his team to come up with a solution. It then took another week and 2 emails from us asking for a follow-up for the designer and sales manager to ask to schedule a time to come and look at the misdrilled holes. At that meeting it took us advocating for ourselves again that this was unacceptable since their installers drilled the wrong holes with our exact pulls in hand, and they agreed to reorder all of our drawer fronts. It took 1 month for these fronts to be rebuilt. At the end of August our new drawer fronts along with the ones that were initially lost were scheduled for install. During this install there were 3 drawer boxes that also needed replacing because the misdrilled holes caused damage to them. The service tech came back out, added all the drawer faces but did not fix the cabinet drawer boxes or know anything about them. Additionally since the product we ordered was wood veneer, all of the new items were now a different shade than the initial product installed. Abodian stated this was due to the fact that they can't guarantee wood matching, but now we have cabinets that are very different shades of oak next to each other and this looks like a mistake more than anything else.  Three weeks after that install we had to reach out to Abodian to follow up on the status of our cabinet drawers even though they told us they would be in contact in one week. At the end of September they scheduled their service tech to come out once again. He arrived on site and noticed the drawer boxes were the wrong size and installing them would create the same issue that was already happening with them cracking at the cabinet pull site if the sizing was not changed. He tried to solve the problem by suggesting we change some orientation of the drawers, but this would reduce the amount of space we had in the drawers and was not something we wanted to do. The service tech took measurements and shared he would reorder the drawers again.  Finally, at the end of October our final installation was scheduled. The scheduler asked if the service tech could come at 7:30am and we agreed to make this work. The service tech did not arrive until 9am, disrupting our work schedules, and finished the final replacement of drawers.  It took 4 months to have done what should have happened in one week and we mainly got to the end state by having to advocate and explain over and over why a damaged, or hacky solution was not acceptable. I hope this experience is not one most Abodian customers have, but it was frustrating, time consuming, and exhausting on our end and we cannot with any confidence recommend Abodian. read more

Warning - this company is awful to work with. Terrible customer service and the designer made so many mistakes that they had to re-do their work several times. You cannot talk with anyone over the phone and they do not respond to emails. I had to call everyday multiple times a day hoping to get someone on the phone. Everyone is on PTO all the time and no one is there is step in and help out. Avoid this company. read more

We were doing a bathroom remodel for a dear friend who's also a client in a one bedroom condo, we were told 4-6 weeks delivery time on cabinets but it took just over 11 weeks and then one of the cabinet doors was mounted backwards. We made repeated attempts to communicate but got very little back and didn't hear a word about the longer delivery time until the week we were expecting them. This new information was delivered with no apology but a notification that the cabinets should be delivered at a new much later date (and it ended up being much later than even that). Usually we received no response at all when we would email or call. Since this is a one bedroom one bath condo, the bathroom being torn up for such a long time was beyond inconvenient and he had to find other accommodations for a bit. Additionally, this crazy delay forced the rescheduling of Contractors that drew the project out even further and ultimately cost us more money in the end. The product seems to be of good quality so they are getting one extra star on that front but the lack of communication or anyone to take ownership was incredibly frustrating and turned this exciting project into a pretty tainted and sad experience for everyone. It felt like the little job got pushed to the back of the line and wasn't important to them at all. I recommended that we use Abodian and I feel guilty. read more

We recently moved to a house with Abodian cabinetry. We had issues with several front panels due to water exposure. It did take some time to find all the information about our cabinetry as it was originally installed by the builder and we are the second owners. We were invited to their office to discuss possible solutions. It happened to be not a warranty case, but yet Abodian team was so kind and fixed everything! I seriously doubt there are any other companies on the market who stand behind their work like Abodian. I highly recommend them if you're looking for cabinetry that will last. read more

Exceptional service! Abodian installed the cabinets in my home when it was new 9 years ago. I overloaded one of the drawers, causing damage to the glides over time and eventually rendering the drawer unusable. Even though the cabinets were 9 years old, and even though the damage was my fault, Chase, from Abodian, came out and fixed the problem at no cost. He was professional and efficient and did a great job. This level of service is rare. I would definitely recommend this company to friends. read more

I moved in to a brand new townhouse 3 years ago. The cabinet is from Adodian. About a year ago, I started to notice issue with their door hinge. Recently one of the cabinet door completely failed to close. I tried to contact Adodian to get it fixed through their phone, email, and even social media. No response after 4 days. Our experience working with Abodian to design, build and install our custom painted maple kitchen cabinets was fantastic - start to finish. Sally did a great job helping us design and narrow down the style of cabinets we wanted and delivered the cabinets on time to keep our remodel on track. Installation was also managed by Abodian and we were super impressed with Ed and his ability to problem solve the installation of the cabinets in our old, 1910 house. It took longer than anticipated, but Ed worked long days to keep us on schedule and the install looks fantastic - very happy with the quality and integrity of the product and the folks working at Abodian. I bought a townhouse recently that is ~8 years old and noticed two of the drawers were not sliding in and out as smoothly as the others. I saw an Adobian sticker on the side of the drawer and contacted them to see if I could schedule a fix. The technician was able to diagnose the issue via photos I emailed over (previous owner likely overloaded the drawers and the rails has begun to loosen and tilt inwards inhibiting the sliding of the drawers). A few hours later they sent a technician out the same day and were able to drill a few new holes and put in some new screws to re-secure the rails and they are back to functioning as expected! All free of charge! Fantastic service, especially when I was not the original purchaser of the cabinets/home, use this company with confidence. read more

I have these cabinets in my kitchens, 3 bathrooms, entryway, laundry room, and bar. Unfortunately after less than a year they have bleached horribly from both the sun and LED lights. Keep in mind I live in Seattle not Arizona and they have not even been installed for a summer. Their lifetime warranty excludes any coverage for bleaching which makes you wonder what is actually covers. The laminate on the cabinets has also started peeling off next to the oven. Update #1 - Jeff the President and CEO contacted me. He came to my house with the manufacturer and confirmed that the discoloring was a defect. They are going to review what happened to my doors and have committed to address the issue. Once the issue is resolved I will update my review again. They seemed generally concerned about the issue and wanting to correct it. Update #2 - Jeff's team did a great job of replacing all the trim, doors, and panels. He helped us find a color stable product that would hold up to the sun. My wife and I went to Jeff's shop in Kent and he gave us a tour of his operation. It is set-up well. I would actually recommend Abodian after this whole experience. read more

I recommend a voiding this company. It is a nightmare dealing with them. I bought a house last year that had their cabinets put in a 3 years prior. So the cabinets are about 4 years old. issues: the side surface of the cabinet near the kitchen window has faded enough to be noticeable. in other areas the laminate surface is coming loose. in one area - above the stove , it has to be held down with tape. My prior house had Kraftmaid cabinets from Lowe's that probably cost close to what was paid for these cabinets. ( adjusting for inflation) I had those cabinets for 20 years no issues. For the warranty, I need receipts ( I have partial, not all) , probably original purchaser needs to be present, and the repair at best would be replacing only the panels on surfaces , which may vary slightly in color from originals due to difference in batch made. We spoke to some contractors who had dealt with this company's cabinets before . they suspect when the cabinets were made and the panels applied , the wood had a fine layer of wood dust resulting in all panels eventually coming loose. They had no idea why some of their cabinets experience fading. possibly no UV protection, or just a sprayed on coating? Instead of wasting time dealing with the company now, we have contacted the original owner to see if they can get copies of either the cc statements or check copies. Then when a few more panels have problems we will request a more complete correction. if not, then off to small claims we will go. I am sure the maker will fight if cabinets are requested to be replaced as the counter is quartz that is glued down and will need to be cut up (trashed) to remove to get to the cabinets. They would have in essence pay a lot of money to remodel the kitchen, while we have no kitchen to a couple of weeks plus construction dust in the house. Bummer quality was not included in the manufacturing process. As per some of the other reviews, we are not the only ones to have issues. read more

First let me say that the sales person and production scheduler were fantastic! We were so excited to receive our cabinets. All communication from our first contact with Abodian to our delivery date was timely and attentive. Then, we received our cabinets and what a let down. All of the cabinets have chips in the laminate from the nylon strips that kept the doors together for shipping. There are chips in the laminate on the underside of the shelves and inside the drawers, however it is still visible when you look inside, under the cabinet or in the drawers. We have scratches on some molding and one of the doors. There is glue on all of the edges. The spice rack for our spice drawer was not cut to fit the drawer. Our "rev a shelf" insert was not installed properly and had to be fixed. We had spots on the front of 3 of our drawers. The back on one of the cabinets has holes drilled into it as if it were to be on the inside for adjustable shelves...what?! Was this a piece of scrap that just happened to fit the size for the back of one of our units?! Now, the company was nice to give us a few extra days to measure and inspect everything. We took pictures and emailed them. Abodian sent out a contractor the next day to "fix" everything. Again, very timely. We got a "fill" pen for the scratches, some solvent for US to take off all the glue, the spots were removed, the "rev a shelf" now has MORE holes in it after being "fixed." Nothing was ever mentioned about the numerous chips in the laminate, the spice rack not fitting the drawer, and no apology for the hours it will take us to remove all the glue. We have a small kitchen but when you work really hard to find what you want, pay good money for it, and then receive the end product such as this...it is more than disappointing. What a total let-down. The quality control is horrible. read more

My original sales person who helped us put together drawings of our cabinets was great and very responsive. Once our cabinets were made, we realized some items weren't done to our original specs and both cabinets had doors that came damaged and peeling. (5-6 items that needed to be fixed - so this is pretty bad quality control) Unfortunately for us, our original sales person left and handed us off to Zach. From there one we've gotten responses that are sporadic, one time we scheduled a time for him to come over to our place to pick up a cabinet piece to have re-cut, and he never showed or called! I took time off of work too. The next day, I emailed him and he said he forgot! Months have gone by and I still have no resolution on our damaged cabinets and the door that wasn't built to the original specs. I wish I had gone with another cabinet company - would have saved us time and headache + we would have gotten exactly what we wanted. Later I asked my contractor if he's worked with their products before. He said he's done one Abodian kitchen cabinet install and he said in that job, there was pretty much no QA. They had to wait weeks for new cabinets to arrive. No one should have to go through that especially when they advertise their product as custom and you pay upfront. read more

Very unprofessional and after reading the other reviews on this site, I wish I could have avoided this situation altogether. 1. They do not respond to requests 2. They do not keep their promises. 3. Abodian did the cabinets for a small kitchen and office in our basement apartment. The product is great and the process was nearly painless. We worked with Zach, Dwayne, and Dawn, all of whom provided prompt and excellent service. Price was comparable to other bids we entertained. We love the look of our new cabinets, but just as important is that our contractor with whom we have had a long working relationship highly praised the quality and workmanship of the cabinets. Abodian provides an extensive installation packet with additional reassurances of phone or in-person support if needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or go back to Abodian for any future cabinet needs. read more

As a general contractor, I've bought quite a few cabinets over the years. Aside from the occasional artist-craftsman who works one project at a time, often taking several months to produce a medium sized kitchen, the pace of innovation in the industry has been modest at best. Especially compared with some of the trades in the construction mix. I stumbled upon Abodian totally by accident. I (should) know all the quality suppliers in the area so i didn't expect much. After spending 45 minutes on the production floor with the owner (and former GC) I was absolutely blown away. I felt like an arrogant idiot know-it-all that was just taken back to school by a guy who had 100% heart and mind locked onto a vision that was, well... visionary. The most basic, take-it-for-granted techniques like joining box components had been rethought, reapplied and completely integrated into every piece. Materials that I've never seen in a carpentry shop were abundant and being used in ways that were simple, clever and compelling. Hinges, glides, stops, lifts and even some hardware I couldn't explain popped up throughout my tour (which included a 10 minute recap about the origin of a sleek titanium disc used as a visible fastener instead of an ordinary screw). I thought their "Loft Line" design was outstanding with some fundamental options that had genuine purpose and aesthetic appeal. (Ultimately it's proven to be a very easy sell through to my clients) I was sure my first project quote was going to throw a wet towel on the fire of enthusiasm lit during my initial visit. Much to my surprise I found pricing to be quite competitive for an average cabinet line and these were WELL ABOVE average cabinets. Plus, they've thrown an innovative twist into the pricing equation made possible by their signature construction technique. Cabinets can be received "ready-to-assemble" (it's the easiest assembly you've ever done) leaving the buyer with a hefty discount making even the most indulgent design affordable on mass market level. I'm really impressed with these guys and their product is as good as it gets - anywhere and at any price! You won't find the schmoozie hand-holding service of a middleman showroom (for me, thank god), but you will talk with people who know what they're doing, do it really well, aren't afraid to do it differently and who genuinely care about making a product to last a lifetime. If your looking for cabinets - you simply haven't seen everything until you've seen Abodian. Bravo guys, bravo! read more

It's been 2 years and I am still in love with the kitchen and pantry we ordered from Abodian. Great quality, very well made cabinets, great customer service. We worked with Joy who helped us, guided us and gave us great ideas we incorporated in the design. We couldn't be more happier. I am really surprised with some other reviews about customer service. To us, the company was very responsive: 2 weeks ago we noticed that trim on one of the upper cabinets around the stove separated from the cabinet and emailed the company. We got reply next day, scheduled a technician and got it fixed within a week for free. That's what I call great customer service 2 years later after the installation. I highly recommend this company to everyone. I rarely write reviews but recent experience with the company made me want to share :) read more

I got a follow-up email from the owner that made me want to update my review. He clearly took my feedback seriously and reviewed my email with the staff,. He updated me on changes that had already been put in place and assured me that the other issues would be addressed. It was just the kind of open, non-defensive, detailed reply epitomizes good customer service. He even offered to make a small upgrade to our kitchen (adding some pull-out drawers to the pantry) at no charge--very appreciated! The whole follow-up experience (and the other recent negative reviews from this summer) makes me think that we might have caught Abodian at a bad time (transitioning staff, too many projects?)--and that, in the future, someone else might have a better customer service experience. Disorganized and lacking critical communication. For starters, we paid way too much for an exaggerated product. When their doors didn't fit, they started mass production of replacement doors which still didn't fit properly. Makes one wonder if they charge so much up front to build in costs for all the extra pieces they will need to supply in order to complete your job. One door specifically took 5 returns. I would have rather bought from Ikea. UPDATE: Once they became aware of the problem, they sent out a design engineer to personally oversee the remaining steps of our job. With their final visit, the cabinets were completed to everyone's expectations and provided free installation. They were very concerned with their reputation, so various members of their management team has reached out to us. I wish they would have showed their concern earlier as things were going south, it would have helped with damage control. read more

Abodian advertises everywhere for custom cabinets that use green materials. THERE IS NOTHING BEHIND THE ADS!!! Bad service, endless waiting, no communication, wrong products delivered, everything that can go wrong did for us. They are very disorganized and do not seem to understand what needs to happen after they get an order. Too bad, good concept, BAD execution. Hope they figure it out. read more
