Worst experience I have ever had in the construction industry…read more We recently completed a full condo remodel and initially had a very positive impression of Huntwood Custom Cabinets. We visited their showroom in Lynnwood and were impressed with both the cabinet quality and the level of attention we received. The salesperson, Donna Ley was responsive during the sales process and helped us design our custom kitchen, master bath, and powder room. Although we received lower bids from competitors, we chose Huntwood after visiting their factory in Liberty Lake because we believed the higher price would translate into higher quality and better service. Unfortunately, everything changed after we signed the contract and paid a 75% deposit. We were quoted a 7-8 week delivery timeline with an installation estimated at 3-4 days. Delivery ultimately took 13 weeks, and the installation process became a complete nightmare. What was supposed to take less than a week stretched into 12 weeks of repeated visits, ongoing corrections, and constant follow-ups on our part. The installation quality was extremely disappointing. The lack of attention to detail was unacceptable, and every unresolved issue seemed to come with another excuse as to why it could not be fixed properly or completed on time. Communication became frustrating, and the entire process created unnecessary delays and stress during our remodel. By the end, we finally accepted the project, even though it was not completely to our satisfaction, simply because we wanted the ordeal to end and did not want any further delays. We requested a modest 15% refund due to the delays and poor workmanship. Huntwood eventually offered only 10%, but even that process took another five weeks -- and the refund amount was calculated incorrectly, resulting in an underpayment. At this point, it is difficult to believe the company values its own reputation or customer satisfaction once a contract is signed. I could provide many more examples, but the bottom line is this: I would never use Huntwood again, nor could I recommend them to anyone in good conscience.

They are a standard size cabinet sales and install company & do not have custom size cabinets. They didn't have black cabinets that we originally wanted but we do like the dark espresso cabinets we settled on. We also ended up with two deep dead end cabinets vs corner units since they do not do custom sizing. We were, however, highly motivated by their low prices & ability to install both cabinets & quartz counters in one day. The rest of our experience was less important to us than getting a good price and install experience. I noticed a couple earlier reviews marked them down to one star for the customer service. In our experience in the show room, they let you look around independently and don't use high pressure sales techniques; which we appreciated. some of the other reviewers seemed to want a lot of direct personal attention & other sales bells/whistles. If shoppers expect high-end customer service for low priced product, I do see how they can be disappointed. To place an order, take your measurement drawing to the person at the counter. If you use them as installers, they will check your measurements on site prior to install and revise the order, if needed. I do recommend using them to install cabinets, counters, AND pulls since if you make a mistake installing it yourself (drill the wrong holes in the cabinet fronts, etc.) they require you to buy the whole cabinet to replace the parts. They don't sell separate parts like hinges & fronts. We made the mistake of not having them install the pulls & our handyman made a mistake drilling the wrong holes (4" vs 5") for pulls on two drawers. He had to buy two whole cabinets just to replace the drawer fronts. I have marked down half a star for this since they didn't warn us about this policy during our purchase & there was no mention of them installing the pulls during our purchase. Luckily, the cabinets are not super expensive & our handyman thinks he can resell the cabinets with the 4" pull holes. I have further marked down another half star for a couple of small issues during install. 1) They didn't warn us about the very strong & toxic smelling adhesive that would be used for the counter tops. In retrospect, we likely should have been out of the house during countertop portion of install since we all had headaches the next day. 2) There was a small issue with the electrical outlet for the microwave cabinet. They mis-measured where to cut the hole in the cabinet & attempted, to instead, move the electrical. Our electrician popped over during install and told them that wasn't safe. So, they cut an extra hole in the back of the cabinet (where it should have been to begin with) to allow for the outlet. Due to a soffit situation for heating ducts, the right side of the microwave cabinet is permanently closed (as expected) & so we will never see the extra hole at the back of the cabinet & don't really care about it. In all, the price was right for our basement kitchen set-up & has met our expectations.

Despite emails, calls, and voicemails, there was no response for a week. After driving back again just to get an answer, I was told new requirements applied that were never mentioned while the sales rep walked me around looking at remnants. The remnant remains on their floor, unsold, but my time was already spent. If you need responsiveness or clarity to keep a project moving, proceed cautiously. I took my business elsewhere.

I don't know about their past, but 2024 through the beginning of 2025 makes them a non-viable vendor. Consider others that will be responsive and prioritize your project.

I really liked the style of cabinets he was offering and really connected with him. I found Terence to be very hard working and honest. He really wanted to help me achieve the modern look I was aiming for. We connected and developed a great working relationship! I had quite a job for him, a kitchen, walk in pantry and 3 bathrooms that all needed cabinets. He was attentive to details and very responsive with communications in his emails and texts. Terence has so many years of experience behind him. He is so good in trouble shooting areas that might need a little help. He is also very hands on and did some of the install himself. He inspected every single cabinet and adjusted them where it was needed. Terence has a great attitude, happy and so easy to get along with. I really enjoyed working with Terence. I trusted his insight and judgement. I even would ask him for his opinion on decorating my home and he was so helpful with his design tips. Jarren was fantastic, set expectations right away and managed to do a great job on counter install within a week of my calling. What was not so great was the crew he sent out. They were difficult to deal with, insistent the job was impossible and tried to leave before eventually getting it done. When they had to come back after the seal around the sink failed, they kind of blamed us for the seal failing because we had used the sink within 72 hours of it being installed (they has told us 24 and we followed their instructions). Would definitely recommend based on experience with Jarren and overall results, but would mention that crew was pretty unpleasant.
