She confirmed my instincts about the white-white trim looking cheap against our tile, even mentioning she doesn't stock it for that exact reason! I had started to feel like I was being too picky or difficult, but she reassured me I wasn't--and that meant a lot. Destry was also incredibly patient when we were placing our order and contemplated changing out one of the items. And once the hardwood was installed and we realized we were short one t-mold, Destry was quick to make some calls and get us another one within a day of reaching out. The overall experience was significantly less stressful than other places we had visited where we felt pressured into buying expensive flooring we don't need given this is a temporary flooring solution. Based on the information provided by their employee, we did not feel the need to scrutinize the fine print on the invoice. When we later attempted to return the unused material, we were told there was a 14-day deadline and a minimum quantity requirement--neither of which had been disclosed to us before the purchase. To make matters worse, they also sold us the wrong underlayment for a wood-on-wood installation, forcing us to spend more money to buy the correct product elsewhere. Management had every opportunity to make this right but instead hid behind the fine print and blamed their supplier. No accountability, no customer service, and no attempt to resolve a problem caused by their own staff providing inaccurate information. If you expect a business to stand behind what its employees tell customers, look elsewhere.

Maybe I was arrogant to even think this place (called Seattle's Doorhouse" was the correct spot to start my door journey. "That guy", the "door expert", wanted me to know it, too. He rattled off the info that I would need to bring in with me to avoid 1) Wasting his time, 2) Broadcasting how "door stupid" I am, and 3) Be able to write them a fat check. I would need door measurements and wall thickness numbers. (Awesome, I can get those!) The tone ion his voice was, however, the verbal equivalent to an eye roll when he quickly listed a dozen numbers toward me: 60by35by120$13575x130x55$250. I think he was throwing me a bone to get me out the door with some numbers at high speed. It worked. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. And it's because of 3 things: 1) I don't know doors like "that guy" knows doors 2) I'm an idiot in general 3) I'm an expert at wasting the time of other experts.

Love my new LVP floors!…read more With my hectic schedule, I was on a time constraint and needed my floors done ASAP. I walked in with a floor color in mind, budget, and was set on LVP material. I found the floor I wanted (on sale!) showed Ryan, and he informed me that it was in stock. He then squeezed me in for an estimate that same day, and was able to drive to my house after his lunch break to take measurements. After he took measurements, he got back to me that evening with the quote break down. I was pleased that it came in 4K lower than the previous contractors. Once I confirmed that I wanted to move forward, I went to the show room (after the long l weekend) and Ryan was able to set me up for installation a week later. The estimate time of the project was 2 days but his workers got it done in 1! I am pleased with the whole experience, appreciate the efficiency of the process!
