In past videos, you've seen how…read moreamazing the American Grill's burgers, cheesesteaks, and chili dogs are, but this is my first time trying their smoked meats. I went for the two-meat combo with smoked ribs and wings--the wings came with sweet chili sauce, and I used their signature BBQ sauce on the ribs. You also get two sides, so I chose mac and cheese and slaw. The service was excellent as always, and the hospitality felt just like being at a southern-style restaurant. The slaw was on the drier side but very tasty, and the mac and cheese was unlike anything local--unique and different in the best way. The wings were smoked to perfection, crispy with great flavor, and I tried their "yellow cap" sauce since it's recommended for chicken. The ribs were meaty, tender, and just as good as the wings. For a taste that reminds me of the South, the American Grill is the place to be. Big thanks to the owners and staff for consistently providing great food and service. They are putting out their version of a smash burger, I got the American Standard which has lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and pickles. This came with a side of crinkle cut fries. My server was professional, explained that at the time I was there they did offer both breakfast and lunch with at that time with the exception of soup. My fries were hot, tasted good with a little dash of salt. My burger was nice and juicy; the tomato was a thick cut reminding me of the ones that come out of my sister's garden. The location is off the beaten path so if you're not looking it may be missed, it is located inside the Petro Truck Stop in Dupont. The prices look average, a definite recommend.
