Service was wonderful. However, the food itself was very bland. I had a patty melt and my mom had a bacon cheeseburger, and both were lacking seasoning. The French fries needed seasoning as well. Portion sizes were decent. My mom did note that the coffee was good. read more

I do not recommend this place. The Owners daughter is a very rude, sarcastic and unprofessional person I have ever met. I order a few times a week for my grandson and I get treated dis from the owners daughter. She hangs up on me when I try to place my order. She is very loud and verbally abusive and laughs when I go pick up the order for my grandson. But I've noticed their business has really gone downhill not as many people in there as it used to be so maybe I'm not the only one she treats like this. and additionally being overcharged, their prices range every time for the same item so needless to say I do not recommend this place . maybe the BBB should look into this place. read more

I don't normally leave reviews but service today was terrible. This was my first time ordering here and the food is school lunch level food and not worth the price. Workers are rude and cannot follow simple instructions. When calling in to get help on fixing an order, I got hung up on. Also store looks a bit dirty inside from photos I googled after the fact. The service sucks, I called to get the specials and told they are too busy I have to wait. I waited on hold over 18 minutes. The food when I got there is grill, fried, and microwave, it's like going to a bad tailgate. The place gone down hill. Wait 10 minutes for a drink refill, the waitress saying she is too busy, orders being put in wrong, not getting your soup till the check. A medium well burger comes like a hockey puck, fries so dark they must be fried in motor oil. My husband got piggies and they tasted old, not warm enough. The price for a small coleslaw is 2.99, for that you get 1/2 lb in the grocery store. Terrible customer service and food. read more

After scooping my boyfriend up from work after his shift ended at 5 am, we headed here for some grub. We weren't in the mood for breakfast food and Austie's didn't disappoint. When we walked in there were a couple patrons and one waitress, but she was attentive. I ordered the patty melt w/fries and my guy ordered a cheesesteak. Our food was very good. My burger was cooked perfectly and my boyfriend enjoyed his giant cheesesteak. This place has been around for awhile, it's clean and I've never had a bad experience here. read more

The restaurant was so clean and cute. If you're a fan of house plants they have a nice little collection. The service was attentive and quick. The food was yummy . I got a bowl with the sausage gravy on top and it was worth the calories. The caramel French toast was not too sweet and the bananas are a nice touch. I would recommend and eat there again. I rate this restaurant three stars. The employees were well mannered and cared for the costumer's enjoyment. However, the wait for the food pushed 20 minutes. Along with the the coffee creamer was meant to be refrigerated but it sat on our table. One of our three person party's French toast was overdone. Along with my rather dry ham and home fries. We visited Austie's after reading good reviews. Our visit wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the great cuisine people raved about. We went for breakfast on a Sunday. It was busy but we didn't wait longer than 2-3 minutes for a table. The place is clean and bright, and well tended. The staff were polite and we got everything we needed rather quickly. The food was just good enough... My pancakes were good, and my eggs were cooked well. My husband liked the homefries but I prefer them crispy. My husband's omelette was missing the cheese, which made it dry, and it definitely wasn't made with 4 eggs as advertised. His toasted was barely buttered so that made it a little dry, too. The coffee was weak, but that's also a preference of ours... So I'm sure for some it's fine. Overall it was an okay experience, I might return of someone asked me to go.... but I wouldn't rush back. read more

Long time fan of Austie's! Loved the food..love Tootie (of course!) however, revisited after the flood re-do..um..WHY are there 5 microwaves reheating everything? My husband and I sat and watched the microwave jockey run back and forth between beeps..now I KNOW Austie"s has a flat top back there AND the capacity to simmer soup in the proper vessels rather then ruining it in the microwave. Thank GOD I ordered the fish (which was great by the way). I would have been VERY upset if I ordered something (and had to PAY for it) and it came out of a microwave...don't get stuck in that microwave rut..you guys are MUCH BETTER than that...easy food...is easily lost...and you cannot make "home cooked food" in a microwave. Everyone knows that. You may be able to fool the blue hairs (because they cant hear the deafening BEEP BEEP BEEP) but you also have a younger clientele that you need to think about too and we will be around a LOT longer and WILL support your business IF you make the right choice and 86 those stinking..beeping..boxes..NO MORE MICROWAVES PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! I found Austie's completely by luck--I did not have time to stay when I stumbled upon the restaurant, but made a trip back on another occasion. Restaurant was clean, and the food was great! The waitress (I do not remember her name but she's originally from Tennessee) was extremely attentive and personable. "Gramps" was also very nice, and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend both for the food and for the outstanding service! read more

Chicken Parmesan. First off wrong cheese put on it. It's supposed to be mozzarella not 7 month old white American. Definitely none of it was fresh when all I tasted was freezer burnt chicken which was indeed not made. Store bought out of the Tyson frozen chicken product isle in Walmart. Never eating here again. Employees were very friendly, place has a true hometown restaurant feel. We had lunch with the exception of one person who had breakfast. Our lunches were all fresh and made to order. The person who ordered the breakfast wasn't too impressed, home fries were unseasoned tasted completely bland. His bacon was almost burnt to the point of when he bit it it fell apart. A heads up do not ask for chocolate chips in your pancakes. We thought they had forgotten to put them in but found a few. In all we counted 8 chocolate chips, we paid $1.25 extra for 8 chocolate chips! We would go back again in spite of that but like any new place you try you have to learn what works and what doesn't. read more

Good eats, at a great price. 3 bucks and change gets you breakfast if you can make it before 11 am. add a tip, and it's still as good a deal as you'll find anywhere. Open 24 hours. I go there at least three times a week. In fact, I'm going there in just a bit. I remember one time I was craving an egg cream, so I headed over there. Turns out they don't make egg creams. The waittress had never heard of one. But she was perfectly willing to try, so I talked her through it. The egg cream was pretty lousy, but what could I expect? She had never made one before, and she was following my instructions. The point is, she tried. One thing that's important to remember (since I usually pay debit) is that you can't leave a tip on your debit card. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Very busy on Sunday mornings but is worth waiting for a table. Recommended!
