Really surprised that I had not reviewed the Lin's closest to our house and my niece's favorite…read moreplace to eat. We go here often for family's celebrations, birthday's, graduations, and other occasions like a random Tuesday. It is really laid out well and there are so many options. Sushi, Steak Mongolian Grill, etc. It is one of the largest Lin's we have been to and we have been to them in a few Arizona cities. The food is always hot and replaced or added to quite often. If something you like is out it is usually replaced within a few minutes once the next batch is ready. So many favorites like General Tso's, Sweet and Sour Pork, Hawaiian Chicken, Jalapeno Chicken, Seafood Bake, rice, noodles, shrimp, and others. Always nice to see other options too, like enchiladas, pizza, fries, potato wedges, etc. Very inviting and well decorated. I like to invite friends there because regardless of who it is - everyone can find something they like there. Watching your weight and eating light? It is a buffet, which means there are many options, but it is ok to just get a salad if that's all you really want. IMHO, you can't go wrong with Lin's.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Lin's Grand Buffet 3955 E. Baseline Road Phoenix, 85042+ Companion and I wanted to try a new Chinese buffet, and Lin's came to mind. We had heard both positives and negatives about it so it was about time to make up my own mind. We arrived at 5:00 and were seated immediately. The buffet looked interesting with about 6 rows of items to peruse. Companion went first and when he returned I got a plate and began my tour. First item on my plate was the seafood boil. Crawdads, shrimp, mussels, corn on cob, potatoes and lots of cajun spice. If it had been hotter it would have been wonderful. Next I started down a row of hotel pans, picking those items that seemed interesting to me. Shrimp in various incarnations, beef and broccoli, pork egg roll, potsticker, sticky pork rib, velveted pepper steak with onions, and a couple of pieces of sushi. The shrimp was nicely cooked and the pepper steak was tender and properly cooked. The sushi was unremarkable and the egg roll was soggy and without merit. The potsticker was nice as was a piece of fried banana. Sanitation in the food areas was excellent with counters being wiped down as needed. I also noted one of the chefs in the Mongolian BBQ area wiping down the tiles on the wall, which was quite impressive. However, not all was great. Food was tepid at best and while I did not have a thermometer with me my estimate was that none of the food was over 100 degrees. The restrooms were a different story. The ladies room was properly clean and appointed with nothing but a few drops of water on the floor by the sink. However, companion went into the men's room and took a picture for me. It could not pass any type of inspection by any person. Normally I would have handed my companion my ultra violet light which I use when checking bathrooms, but why waste the batteries? The place was filthy and the toilets were terrible. No use to stand upon the seat, the crabs in here can jump six feet! Companion remarked that it was disgusting and he forgoed using the facility. Our bill for 2 was $36.11, which is about what other buffet charge, however, I've eaten at much better buffets for this amount. 3 stars

They had a great selection, including sushi, seafood, desserts, soups, noodles, etc. but the second time we came we all agreed that it was too expensive overall, & it didn't quite "hit" like round one. The food was OK. The sushi was not that fresh. The servers were/are attentive. I don't know why we loved it so much the first time around. but the second go around was overrated. I'm anxious to compare to other Asian buffets like this, but we won't be back here anytime soon.

The grilled section most of the meat is extremely tough or really chewy now , it's like the grade of meat has gone down and lacks flavor. The sushi area didn't have a variety like they use to and the front half was closed down. From the time we got there a little before 7:00 p.m. to when we left around 8:45, the crab legs were empty til about 8:30. So in the almost two hour time frame, the crab legs got restocked ONCE. Such a disappointment, esp since everyone rushed to grab some, so alot of people didn't get a chance to eat any. Luckily my son was able to get four clusters for the table to share. Our server wasn't attentive at all, had to ask him for napkins multiple times, ask for water refills , and no crab leg crackers or anything was given to us. Although I guess that last one didn't matter too much this time since there weren't really any crab legs that were offered. Our bill was around $76 for two adults two kids and this time definitely did not feel like it was worth it. Sucks to see with the beautiful remodel, the food quality and quantity has gone downhill.

They even have a little robo-server delivering some dishes. Food: 4-stars - I really enjoyed the carpaccio options they had as well as the shrimp tempura. However, the gyoza was double or triple fried and tasted horribly. Can't believe they actually served it like that to their paid customers to be honest. And the agedashi tofu was not fried at all so it was completely mushy which is not how I expected it. Other than that, the other dishes/options were pretty good. Definitely ate more than my price of admission - worth it! Ambiance was nice, bright and clean looking. Would definitely come back and recommend if you're a sushi lover!

Got sat pretty quick and staffs were friendly. AYCE price for dinner is $34.98 lunch is $26.98. Typical rules, 2 hours, eat what you order and dishes per order. Ordered miso soup, seaweed salad, vegetable tempura and few other sushi. Tempura was tasty and piping hot. Miso soup was also pretty good along with seaweed salad. I like that Salmon roe sushi was bite size small. Over all the sushi weren't bad but the rice was bit on the sat around /undercooked on some part of the rice. Over all fish was OK on the quality but you get what you pay for. I did not try some of the other side menu items due to not being able to over stuff myself like I used to. If you are in the area and want to stuff yourself with not to bad sushi this place might work. I personally would not come back for the quality and price for the food.

Just be careful -- the heat builds up slowly, so if you're not used to spicy food, go lower on the scale! The portions were generous, everything was very flavorful, and we all ended up taking leftovers home. What stood out the most was the service. Our server was funny, knowledgeable, and gave fantastic recommendations. There's also plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The only thing missing for me was that the décor doesn't quite match the authenticity and quality of the food, which deserves a bit more character in the atmosphere.

I'd likely would have skipped, but some Yelp friends left decent reviews so I gave it a go. When you arrive, you will pay then be taken to a seat. Your server mainly just refills a drink, and you get your food items yourself. For $18.99 (Monday-Thursday Dinner Buffet price), it's not terribly priced; but also, the food quality just isn't there to justify the price. A lot of the food is greasy, and left me feeling uneasy. Most of the food out, looked decent in terms of quality and freshness while fairly clean. Personally, I would pass but if you like a super buffet then this one is fairly decent.

0/5 Stars - Terrible Experience, Unsafe Food Handling, paid $98 for 4 people with no drinks…read more This was one of the worst buffet experiences we've had. The restaurant was extremely overcrowded, and the chairs were so close together that they kept hitting each other whenever people tried to get up or walk by. The music was completely inappropriate for a family restaurant. Some songs contained racial slurs and explicit language, making it an uncomfortable environment for children and families. The food was bland, lacked flavor, and had an unpleasant smell. Even worse, there were no clear allergy labels on the food. My father has an egg allergy, and we specifically asked an employee whether a dish contained egg. We were told it did not, but afterward, my father became seriously ill and spent two days throwing up. This was extremely concerning and could have been dangerous for someone with a food allergy. A restaurant serving a buffet should take food safety and allergy awareness seriously. Customers should be able to trust the information provided by employees, especially when it comes to potentially life-threatening allergies. Between the overcrowding, inappropriate music, poor food quality, and serious concerns about allergy safety, this experience was unacceptable. We will not be returning, and I would strongly encourage management to improve the dining environment, food quality, and allergy labeling procedures.
