Pizza, brussels sprouts & truffle fries.
Samantha H.

Went to Pitch yesterday for my first time with my boyfriend as a hangover meal and it hit the spot. We ordered the pistachio Brussels, Caesar salad and truffle fries. I really enjoyed them, the caesar could have had more dressing in my opinion but it was still tasty. We each got a slice of pizza, mine was pepperoni, bacon and jalapeños and it was sooooo good. My boyfriend got the basil chicken pesto and he enjoyed it as well. The server was so friendly and knew the menu really well. It was also such a cute vibe in there, very relaxing for a hangover meal lol. We will be coming back!

Creamy Broccoli Soup -- delicious but very rich
Linden D.

FOOD : I got the brunch veggie omelette and still can't get over the fact i paid $20 for an omelette... heavens. As far as this gourmet omelette went, it wasn't anything that blew my mind or made me feel $20 spent was 'worth it.' It tasted good, i liked the veggie selection they had in it, it didn't taste undercooked or off in any way -- it was unspectacular but I do think it should've came with a side of it was going to be that price point. Would order again if I go back with someone who is paying for my meal My friends got the best salad and said it was delicious, and it definitely looked great! Easy to split the salad with someone else at the table as the portion size is really large. They also got meatballs and pizza and said "it hit the spot!" I also sampled the creamy broccoli soup -- veryyyyy rich and nostalgic and if I were a dairy person I probably would've gotten it. The flavor was on point and really rich, i don't think I could've eaten a lot of it without feeling yucky after but it did taste good going down! SERVICE : The service was lovely -- prompt, kind, helpful, and even let me sample the soup of the day before I made my decision! We had a great waitress and she took care of our party of 8 with such grace.

Buffalo chicken slider, keep in mind you only got one!
JR T.

Joke - buffalo slider, yes one slider, 1 scrawny chicken tender on a bun, it was basically a lettuce, tomato and pickle sandwich- really embarrassing. Service at bar marginal at best. Chopped salad, one not a "chopped" salad with bits of rotten lettuce throughout. This is why people have pulled back restaurant spending - no effort and marginal at best food.

Cozy ambiance. Service was great. However food was mid tier. Our server brought everything out quickly. The chicken sandwhich was disappointing, a bit flavorless. The pizza was good though!

$20 worth of Mac and Cheese balls...
Katie N.

If you want okay food for an upscale restaurant price, this is your place. I've been to Pitch many times, and I always leave thinking the same thing: that was ridiculously expensive for the value. We had two friends request we meet them for dinner at Pitch last night. We started with the onion rings and mac and cheese balls special as appetizers. The cut on the onion rings was annoyingly thick, and the coating fell off as soon as you bit into it, giving you straight onion. But the real downfall was the mac and cheese balls. I want you to picture in your mind what $20 of mac and cheese balls looks like. Are you picturing TWO mac and cheese balls? Because that's what you get here. On top of the small portion, the mac and cheese inside was largely flavorless and could have used a good dose of salt. I ordered two slices of pizza, both were pretty good and had decent toppings, but they are definitely on the small side. One member of our party didn't get her meal until 15 minutes after everyone else did, which was frustrating. In addition, there was a point in our meal when three employees were surrounding our table and having a lengthy conversation about who was going to take which tables. It was actually laughably odd. Overall, I rolled my eyes when the bill came for another lackluster meal.

Truffle Fries
Doreen R.

First, before we even entered, the building just gave such a cute summer vibes (even though it's February). We didn't make a reservation, but only had to wait 20 minutes for a table. We got their truffle fries immediately since I've seen so many good things about it - and it was well worth the hype. The thin fries with the sauces are to die for. For our main meals, we got the buffalo chicken salad and the pappardelle - both were huge portions that were well-made. I was very satisfied with the overall experience!

Tagliatalle Bolognese
Malika C.

I would say the rating of closer to a 3.5 is probably accurate. I tried the bolognese and it was tasty, but definitely felt like it was lacking any real seasoning. It was crying out for some salt and pepper. It wasn't bad by any means but just left me wanting a little more flavor to it to really wow me. I think for the price I wouldn't get this again, but I'd be willing to try something else on the menu and see how it goes.

Meat lover one (can't recall the name, maybe the Mia) and GF crust. Yum!
Emily C.

The coal fired pizzas were unbelievable and came in gluten free form too! Our server Grace was friendly, welcoming and lovely as well as spot on with her recs. She didn't rush us to order and checked on us regularly but without creating pressure. We were able to talk business and catch up personally as well! The sizes of the pizzas were large and cooked perfectly. We got the BBP - bourbon bacon, artichoke, and a bourbon homey drizzle made the flavors of the smoky bacon and tangy bourbon outstanding! The meat one was so good and our GF coworkers loved it! We also started with the stuffed goat cheese peppadews with arugula and the perfect amount of balsamic glaze that made this starter put of this world! Highly recommend and wish we had a relaxed and comfortable bar vibe like this in my neighborhood. Roomy inside for large groups, this place impressed! Oh and the drinks were excellent even the non-alcoholic ones. Much appreciated! I can't wait to go back and try more spectacular pizzas!

Pitch Your Own San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, fennel sausage
Victoria W.

Arrived hungry after a soccer match, seated quickly but a friendly face. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, though a little forgetful as we had to ask for refills and ranch sauce multiple times. We ordered our pies and the Marsala came out almost immediately, it seemed as if it was actually someone else's order. My one regret with the Marsala was that I didn't ask to add a protein, pancetta would have really complicated the flavors. The Thai Pie had fantastic flavors with a nice little kick that made my lips burn nicely. The Pitch Your Own was soggy, but the flavor was spot on. We absolutely loved the truffle fries, the sauces were a great addition, the favorite was the garlic aioli, coming in a close second was the pesto aioli. We sat inside, but they had multiple seating options available and I can really see spending an evening drinking my way through the margarita menu while enjoying their patio and pizza pies in my future. I will definitely be back.

Christine S.

We usually love it here but tonight we had soggy pizza in fairness we did not send it back as we were with our grandchildren and kind of in a hurry as we wanted to avoid any melt down situations. The pizza just did not sit right with any of us and when we got home we actually just chucked the pizza. I'm sure we will be back but will definitely be sending back anything that is undercooked and soggy. Everyone enjoyed the wings and salad they would have gotten 4 1/2 stars!

Ahi tuna appetizer. Terrific!
Jason M.

Overall a very positive experience during happy hour on a Friday afternoon. Great service on the outdoor terrace and I really enjoyed the industrial / rustic ambiance. I'll certify this place pours a proper pint of Guinness and has slices of pizza in a wide array of flavors. Feeling more surf than turf? Checkout their ahi tuna appetizer. Delicious!

Sondra Z.

Pitch remains wildly inconsistent over the years. Good food but spotty service one time, great service but subpar food another. Our most recent visit we got the meatballs - a favorite - and the bread was inedible, it was clearly day old and hard as a rock. We also ordered the pancetta brussel sprouts but got served the vegetarian style instead. It's such a gamble that we are reluctant to continue to go here even though, when done right, they have some of our favorite dishes in town.

Peach, prosciutto, basil, burrata pizza
Shelby C.

I really thought I made this review already but I don't see it. I've been to pitch locations all over and all are fantastic. Our server this trip was awesome, had great recommendations, and a sense of humor. The restaurant is always clean and trendy, and I love the lighting and signage. If you go and the special is the peach, prosciutto, burrata pizza, don't think. Just order it. It was LIFE CHANGING.

I had the burger with bacon and bleu cheese, and the waitress was nice enough to note my request for lighter amounts of bleu cheese - it goes exceptionally well with bacon but has a strong enough flavor to not need an excessive amount. It seemed like there was none at all on there, so perhaps that was my mistake for asking. I feel like it is normally piled on there but I did still want *some.* The Nashville sandwich was nothing special, but the coleslaw was good. 6/10. The new honey chicken sandwich was good, 8.5/10. The truffle cheesesteak had noticeable truffle, even a little much, which you don't always get, and maybe not enough cheese, but was overall good. 7/10. The fries and sweet potato fries were both very good, well seasoned fries. I would come back - I would bring my parents here. I hope to sit outside at some point to see how nice that can be. There was a good amount of people here for a Wednesday, I know on the weekends it can be fairly packed, so a weekday was a good time to go.

ANYWAY, this location and the one downtown are standalone locations, and as I said, I totally prefer that. I like to have a server, sit down, and ask questions if I have them, etc. This location is always bustling, maybe a little too much, that it almost feels a little frenetic and anxiety inducing. The food is pretty basic bar food - burgers, salads, and a few others like fish and chips, and the like. The service has been good and the drinks are always nice and fresh and cold. That is where they shine, the beers and drinks. So I'd say if you visit any Blatt, definitely choose an in person one, and don't expect too much from the food, if you are not a fan of bar fare.

The chicken tenders are a fan favorite and I will not order the salad without them. It's not the fanciest, or the most original but you will not walk out of here unsatisfied. I would try anything off their menu without hesitation. They have a vast beer menu, a few cocktails to choose - but please add an espresso martini to that menu, folks! Seated within 15 minutes so not bad at all. Place is packed. Tables that were seated after us have a server. Hmmm. About 10 minutes after being seated our server shows up. Very nice but hurried. The other tables were asked if it was their first time; talked about the menu for the evening etc. again, not a huge deal. Drinks were great..an old fashioned and a black Manhattan. I'm assuming it was a manager who came over and apologized for the delay in getting our dinners. Again, we let them know we were not in a hurry. We get the craziness of Valentine's Day. But let's get to the food...did they remove all the seasoning from the kitchen??? Our Brussels sprouts were undercooked and little to no flavor. The steaks had absolutely no seasoning and the mashed were like paste. We had to ask for salt and pepper. Why can't they just put it on the table? My prime rib was blood rare which I talked to the server about before I ordered and said I would like medium and he said they could. Oh and no horseradish sauce like it said on the menu. The saving grace was I had the French onion soup which was terrific. Like I said, knowing how crazy it is on Valentine's Day, we expected a wait. But after waiting quite a long time for our food, I think they could've made sure it was cooked and seasoned properly.

It was kind of cool to see it very empty, because we could admire all the goat accents around the interior and the cool bar, without a million people around it. There was a brunch menu at that early hour, but we decided to stick with the normal menu. Our server was great, and definitely very attentive since we were the only party in the place the entire time we were there. I had just had dental surgery so there were only a few things I could eat. I got the Meatballs appetizer (to cut up and have some meat in my stomach) and the French Onion Soup, which was the soup of the day. The French Onion Soup was super creamy and delicious. I'm used to there being just sort of darker brown with the cream and cheese on top only. This was totally cream colored and hearty. It came with a few pieces of bread points too that were good to dip/soak in the soup. My more substantial part of my meal, the meatballs, were a little less appetizing though. First off they came in a bowl, so they are not easy to cut at all (being giant meatballs, I would think anyone would want to cut them a little). And secondly, the meatballs themselves were kind of flavorless. There was some marina style sauce in the bowl with them, but the meat of the meatballs themselves had no seasoning or flavor. My husband got the caesar salad with chicken, and he was not a huge fan. It was way too heavily dressed that the salad leaves were almost wilty, and the chicken that was in the salad was cut in huge pieces - not easily eaten without sawing at the huge bits. So the food was not the star at this visit (except for the side of French onion soup), but the service and atmosphere were still great. I would return to Stokin' Goat but maybe choose some other items next time, when I can eat more substantial food.
