When I pointed it out she grabbed the mistakes and acted like I was high maintenance or something. We ordered a pizza and salad. A big metal bowl of arugula and mixed greens that tasted like someone had cleaned out their lawnmower. The margarita pizza was chewy and dry. We were never asked how everything was is is there anything else you need? Never brought us the tab. I had to ask another server. The people at the bar next to us were appalled as well. I was not surprised that this place has bad reviews. I was surprised the place was packed on a Saturday night. I guess I'm this new age it would be best if I lowered my standards. Very happy with the experience. The hostess were a joy, walking in to the establishment. Loved the chat on the way to the table. Our Server, Jack was knowledgeable of the menu, extremely informative, and helpful in navigating the brunch. Food was TOP NOTCH. I picked up wings, cauliflower and brussel sprouts with pancetta. The cauliflower and bread that came with the wings were really good. The skin on the wings was not well cooked, so it seemed soft and soggy. Similarly with the brussel sprouts, the were also under done. The super small ones were cooked perfect. My sister suggested this spot for dinner while I was visiting from AZ. We were quoted a waittime of 30 minutes, so we sat at the bar to get a drink and an appetizer. I ordered the Kramer, which is a Mule, with cucumber vodka and muddled jalapeno. It was good with nice heat. We shared the meatballs, which was a great app for the three of us. The tomato sauce is very tasty. We were seated at a high-top table in the center. The lighting was not great, as they had these large red and green lamps over the tables. Christmas vibes, I guess. And it was busy and very loud, so not great for carrying on conversation. Our server was polite and answered all the questions we had on the menu. I ordered the buffalo chicken soup and roasted beet salad. Both of those were great. I left very full and only finished about half of my salad. A lot of menu items looked great. It was difficult to choose. I will say it is a tad pricey. $16 for a salad without protein is a little high, and some of the mains are $40 per dish. All the food was good though. If I could include an "actual footage" video with this post it would basically be me getting loaded into an ambulance because I couldn't walk out on my own. I. Am. So. Full. This is clearly my fault, not theirs, but wow did their delicious menu make it easy to do! At first I was confused: we arrived on a Monday to a 30-minute wait. Wha-? Apparently those in the West O Know have figured out it's legit because half the city was camped here. Good sign. Friendly greetings and attention on arrival (and throughout) made it even better. Then we had a bottle of wine (the house Cab is juiciful good), shared Goat Cheese Peppadews, and also shared a Roasted Beet Salad that had me wondering why I so very wrongly thought I didn't like beets as a child. Spoiler alert: because no one made them like this, hashtag life. And then we had a pizza with meat everywhere. Like spilling over the sides - mainly into our mouths, thank goodness. Such crust. Such carne. Such carnage. Did we stop there? Is that even a question? No. Because pumpkin spice bread pudding was available. Oh glory. And we ate it. All. Everything was so good. We stopped today for lunch and we were disappointed as the one item my wife wanted they were out of...so we split the tempura asparagus and the the short rib grilled cheese with truffle fries. Again disappointment, the asparagus was humongous, woody, light on batter and sauce. The fries were cold and the cheese on top not melted in the slightest..the sandwich was decent. However, after all the disappointment the sandwich wasn't going to save this visit. If we lived in the area we might consider giving this place a second chance, but since we don't we can't recommend visiting. We ordered takeout from Pitch tonight and I ordered the turkey burger and a side of truffle fries. The burger was very good. It is a thick juicy turkey patty that was super flavorful with the pickled cabbage and dressing. The brioche bun was also good. I liked the fries too. They had a nice flavor without being too overpowering. The service size was very generous and the prices were reasonable. Don't bother going here. As we were coming in the hostess was apologizing to customers, I didn't think much of it...but I should have taken this as omen to peace out. First of all, 3/4 members of my family left the restaurant still hungry, despite having ordered a full meal and an "appetizer". Well....we did get our appetizer.....after I was finished with my meal. We ordered a charcuterie Board...It was DISGUSTING. We ordered it as soon as we sat at the table and ordered our drinks....and we didn't even get to eat it there, they had to wrap it to go for us because our meals were done. We dug into it when we got home, it's disgusting. The walnuts are mushy (What? How?) it consisted of all of the same meat which was gross, mushy nuts, a scoop of jam, old cheese, olives (they were fine) and jarred pickles. I got a short rib entree, it tasted like a crockpot dry beef roast using an old packet of seasoning. The carrots came with it were cool in the center (not intended). The polenta was actually really good. The rest of my family got duck breast, while it tasted good, they were all very hungry when we left. It was a duck breast on a bed of raw baby spinach and a vinegarette...nothing else of substance really. The strawberry lemonade was delicious and definitely made in house. From a pure flavor/taste perspective, I think Pitch West was a good brunch spot. I haven't had a chance to eat the regular menu at Pitch West but have been to the dundee location several times. Good: Seating- Pitch West is much bigger than the dundee location and can cater large parties and has a big balcony, which is nice during the spring and fall. Service- Service has always been pretty good at Pitch in my experience. This time was no different. Protein Omelette- I enjoyed this quite a bit but it ate more like a frittata more than an omelette. The fennel sausage and mushrooms were excellent. Breakfast burger- is super heavy but flavorful. Meat was well cooked and it had every topping in the book. This thing can be shared for sure. Other food (french toast, truffle fries) - All good, no complaints. Bad/Mediocre: Price- Pitch price point is very high- look to spend $15-$20 per entree (or more) and more if you want to drink. This puts Pitch clearly in the mid tier price range by Omaha standards. The portions are all pretty big for the most part and you are not going to leave hungry, but just know that this meal is higher end than most other brunch places in Omaha. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Pitch brunch and I liked the flavors very much. I can't see myself going back there often though due to the price. Pitch is usually pretty consistent in terms of their overall flavors and food being solid and this location seemed to confirm that. read more

An old friend and long-time Omaha resident took me out to dinner to celebrate my move to town. He chose Pitch because he knows I'm a girl who loves a good pizza. When we got here and I saw the menu, I realized that this place has a lot more to offer than just pizza (which is, after all, my favorite food ;-)) In actual fact, the number of items offered on the menu is VERY impressive; they have over a dozen different salads and appetizers to start with, and then you'll find steaks, pasta, and burgers. I saved the best for last - of course, they have quite a selection of pizzas as well :-) When you're ready to enjoy one of their premium pies, you can either do a build-your-own by specifying all the various toppings you'd like, or you can choose one of their signature pies (not to mention the "pizza of the Week"). There's pretty good selection of ingredients to choose from; about the only things missing are seafood items (i.e., anchovies) and pineapple. As Woman cannot live by Pizza Alone, they also have wine, a full bar, and a decent craft beer selection. The prices aren't inexpensive, but they seem in-line with the location and the quality of the food. Steaks come in at under $60, while the pizzas cost between $15-$25. A single pie is large enough either for a single hungry Yelper, or 2 or 3 normal people to share ;-) Everything I've tried here thus far was great - I'll be back for sure! read more

Love Pitch .... but what's up in West O. We ordered two pizzas the Mia + Tres Pep with the truffle fries as a starter - which we clearly stated when we ordered. The truffle fries were really good - get the dips. And both pizzas were good. (FYI: There were three of us, one pizza would have been perfect but we wanted leftovers.) Timing is a HUGE issue at the West O location. Shortly after we ordered one of our pizzas arrived, ten minutes later the truffle fries then about 10 minutes after that the the second pizza. This was super annoying and why was everything brought out separately in such a random order? Any-who, the food is good just go to the Dundee location it is well worth the 10 minute drive for better service. It was earlier in the day and not too busy, so I'm not sure why it took so long. We got seated at a table Right next to the kitchen. Awkward seating and we could overhear all the workers conversations. No masks worn by any of the workers which seemed a bit strange as I believe we are still in a mandate. Pitch is always one of my go-to restaurants. I typically always have a great experience! I wanted to share this one because I tried three new things and wanted to share! My mother and I split the wedge salad to start and then split the shrimp tagliatelle pasta for our main entree (photos are half portions). Both were outstanding! The pasta had an amazing light cream lemon garlic sauce with it. The wedge salad was full of flavor as well. To drink, I went with the berry basil margarita. If you like margaritas you can't go wrong with this one. Overall, great experience and I've found some new favorite dishes at Pitch. read more

Well I am a total pizza foodie, and this pizza was almost intolerable. Due to all of the pepperoni that they put on the pizza as it was SO SALTY!! Unbelievable, I normally complain about not enough meat and this place laid it on too thick. Honestly, I didn't hardly taste "any" cheese. Service was good they were very nice and greeted me and even said "have a good evening" so service was not lacking in that area. But the pizza, I mean seriously you should have more cheese than pepperoni. The crust was okay, the edges were crunchy but the center soggy. Don't believe the hype on this one... read more

My food came out within 5 minutes, 15 minutes before the 4th person got theirs. It was easy to see why it was so quick - it was all pre-made. But the cold hash browns, and unseasoned institutional scrambled eggs weren't the worst. The toast? It was actually soggy French toast that had clearly been getting sad and mushy in a warming pan for hours. A knife and syrup might have been nice, but they must think that adds too much work in the kitchen, so the table setting was a napkin and a fork, and s&p is you asked for it. We went here for brunch - overall it was a great experience. They're doing a great job with restrictions due to the current Public Health situation with spacing and limiting time at tables. Atmosphere is modern with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Service was outstanding as well. Our meals were the only aspect that was slightly disappointing. I ordered the Protein Omelet and it was extremely salty (possibly the ham that was used?); the salt level, unfortunately, was hard to overlook in terms of the meal. Our burgers arrived-fries were cold. We ordered new fries. 15 minutes later other couples food arrived. We asked to speak to manager and he was immediately defensive and turned to rude/arrogant when questioned. I finally got the chance to try the PITCH WEST location, after it has been open a good 6 months probably. Since we live a lot closer to PITCH Dundee, we usually end up there instead. However, the Holiday season bought us to Village Pointe for some shopping and I knew I just HAD to try it since Pitch Dundee is one of my favorites. The outside of this new Pitch is so impressive to me. I love the design and the presence of it. What I DISLIKE is the larger corporate glass buildings being built so close in proximity and shrouding it's beauty :(. Unlike the Dundee location, which has no real room to grow, this location has both outside patio seating and rooftop seating. Not great for the winter but AWESOME for the other 3 seasons. SO cute! Menu wise- they seem identical. I poured over the menu looking for something I may not have tried yet (no luck I have literally tried everything!!) and the inside of the restaurant looks a lot like the Dundee dining area as well. I stuck with my trusty favorites-2 peps pizza and their chopped salad. Between this and the truffle fries/spaghetti and meatballs, a for sure winner in my book. Service was impressive on my visit as well. Polite waiter, glasses filled, food timely, and checked on us just enough that was not overwhelming. A+, for real. **One mind blowing note for anyone not familiar with driving around that area- If you're on dodge express headed west google maps will tell you to get off at 180th street to go to Pitch, but if you are already at Village point, PITCH is literally only a few blocks from the Theatre end of the shopping center on Burt street. Exit 168 and 180th seem so far apart but they are not. PITCH west is almost basically part of the Village point shopping center! read more

Pitch came pretty highly recommended for their pizza, so I had high hopes. It was definitely better than most of the pizza I've had since moving to Omaha, but it wasn't quite right. They do have a few variations of sauce, which was great. I got a spicy marinara with chorizo, bell peppers, and mushroom. When I was able to taste the sauce, it was great! There just wasn't as much as I like. What I've been struggling to find in Omaha is good pizza crust. Pitch's crust has the right thickness, but it seemed like it was missing a little bit of seasoning and it was definitely not crispy. Mine was just barely cooked through and tasted that way. I think the ingredients for great pizza are there, but the execution for my particular pie was a little sub par. I'll be back, but I've got a nice list of about a dozen pizzerias that are vetted by Omaha natives. That's right. I'll be judging your pizza. read more

For whatever reason, we had not yet tried Pitch until just recently. As I've lamented before, the pizza in Omaha has been generally disappointing but I've heard good things about Pitch and we recently stopped in to give it a shot. We were greeted and seated quickly and our server took our order. I went with the Wonder of the Week sandwich, which was a buffalo chicken wrap. I also went with the truffle fries as my side. My wife ordered the meatball pie. The wrap was fine. I liked it. The truffle fries were disappointing. The fries themselves were hot and crispy but they simply sprinkled on some parmesan and parsley on the regular fries. It was weird and not what I would consider a proper truffle fry. The pizza was good, generally. The crust was tasty but there was way more sauce than would be preferred, we'd go light sauce next time. I thought the meatballs were good but my wife did not care for them at all. Our service was good, no complaints there. The prices are a bit high. The pizza was 21 dollars for what I would consider a medium sized pie. That's just too much for pizza. The sandwich was 15 bucks, which for this particular wrap is silly. If the quality was substantially better than any other wrap or pizza, that would be a justification for the higher price. But, it just wasn't. I would guess we won't be back often. While the atmosphere is hip and the rooftop bar looks nice the pizza reminded me of totinos. They don't have bell pepper so instead we ordered pepper-chinos? That is the ingredient that put the taste over the top to resemble Totinos. All other toppings we chose were very basic which tells me must have been the pepper-chinos. And while I said the atmosphere is hip the light fixtures are extremely large oversized lamp shades. Felt like being in the Tom Petty video where they are in wonderland. Maybe I'm just not hip and too basic to eat pizza at this establishment. For the price and other options in Omaha, I'd recommend staying home and eating Tontinos frozen pizza. read more
