Been quite a while since I was in one of those and was in the vicinity around lunch time, so it sounded like it might hit the spot. The thing to know going in is that this place is not built for speed. The very nice staff did their level best to keep their heads above water, but the tiny grill does not lend itself well to rapid fire kicking out of food. I believe I waited somewhere in the vicinity for 15 - 20 minutes or so for my pita, which, combined with the incredibly dinky parking lot, stretches well past my idea of convenient. It is also quite cramped inside, so maybe going off lunch rush hours is a better plan. However, there is Coke Zero in the fountain and one does not come to a Pita Pit for speed, necessarily. While my wait is hard to consider anything but excessive, but understood, given all the food delivery places also vying for orders, one comes to one of these for the food. I like the idea of pitas generally and theirs are quite good. I've been on a pesto kick lately, so the chicken pesto sounded right about perfect and it was pretty close to that. I should have checked for some kalamatas (I know, sacrilege) or maybe some capers to round things out just a touch, but otherwise, it was a definite delight. My boyfriend and I were driving through Provo on a road trip and we were starving! We originally meant to stop at Panda Express, but when we arrived we saw there was a Pita Pit right next door, so we decided to stop here instead. I'm so glad we did. We got the beyond meat Greek pita wrap and it was soooo delicious! There was a bit of a wait but it was understandable since it was after 8 pm and they were still busy with a few orders ahead of us. They put a ton of beyond meat in the wrap, and even gave us an extra tzatziki sauce at no charge. The employees were friendly and the service was great. FANTASTIC staff! I can't talk highly enough of them. I've been to this location many times and they are always incredibly friendly, fast, and do a great job. Honestly that's what makes this location 5 stars for me. As far as the food goes, I really like it! Some things are better than others but I personally like The Club! They have different size options and you can customize it to get exactly what you want. My only complaint is that parking here can be pretty difficult sometimes. There aren't a lot of spots and it can be hard to get out of by a busy intersection. I would probably give Pita Pit 4 stars overall, but the staff here makes my experience a 5 every single time. read more

I loved going to Pita Pit when I lived in Montana but I didn't think there was any locations in Utah. I was so so happy to see that there actually is a location in the state. I was headed down south for a camping trip and decided to stop here on the way. Upon walking in, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the person was at the front. When Pita Pit first opened at this location I was in High School. I'm gonna be real with you guys right now: I hated it. It was over a decade ago so I don't remember what I got or what I hated about it but it's a memory I carried with me and I didn't go back for years. Recently, a friend suggested we go there for lunch, my immediate reaction was, "absolutely not, I hate that place," but for some reason, I decided to give it another go. It had been years, after all, maybe they're better now. I don't know what I hated about it years ago but whatever it was, they must have fixed it. I loved my sandwich and the customer service was excellent! I'm trying to watch my figure right now so they get mega bonus points from me for not only posting their calorie content on the menu but they also have a calorie calculator on the website! You can put in your order exactly as you had it made and as if by magic (aka: math) it tells you the number of calories you're about to eat. Better still you can order online, and both times I've done this (so far) my food was ready and waiting for me when I got there. The only negative is that this is worst parking lot in the world. I've loved Pita Pit since my days of living in Provo. I visit whenever I'm in Provo for any reason. The service is always so friendly and helpful. They're patient with me when I can't remember what things I like on my club pita. I highly recommend getting your veggies grilled: namely mushrooms (and onions if you're getting any of those). I recently revisited Pita Pit and was expecting a 3-4 star experience. But instead I was met with a WONDERFUL experience! I used to live right next to this busy intersection and came to Pita Pit for exactly what the name advertised for, a pit stop lunch spot. I never thought much about it except that I enjoyed the unlimited veggies and loved the Dagwood. The one criticism I would give is that the parking lot outside is WAY too small. It was completely full with no other option for parking. I didn't have to wait long for one to open up but it definitely poses a potential problem for future visits/customers. Now onto the good stuff... I stop in for take out lunch and was met with the warmest of welcomes from the cashier. He was so upbeat and genuine. I don't know what PIta Pit's employee benefits are but they must be doing something right, cuz all of their employees who helped me were so happy. As he took my order, he was informative, patient, and even proactive. I didn't know they had a student discount until he asked me if I had an ID for some more savings. And making my impression of this business even better was the free drink offer for checking in. Yelp plug time: People should really take advantage of those check in offers!
