The ambiance, was classic pub throughout, and we enjoyed this quite a bit having just returned from Ireland few weeks ago. We started with the deep-fried pickles, which were a letdown. They tasted like basic bottled pickle slices lightly dipped in flour with minimal seasoning--nothing special. Dinner didn't improve much. The menu items sound really appealing, but once they arrived, the flavors were bland. We ordered the Irish stew, and the meat was very tough. Tried cutting it in really small pieces so I could chew it, but it wasn't worth the effort. Had a few pieces with gristle and fat. I ended up picking the meat out and just eating the carrots and potatoes. We also tried the famous meatloaf, which was the highlight of the meal. I enjoyed it, though the portion could have been a bit larger. The gravy was tasty, and it came with peas and mashed potatoes. Overall, while the service and atmosphere were great, the dishes lacked flavor and felt overpriced for what was served.

My husband is a chef and I am not even sure we could replicate the results that we were given. We ordered the chicken bowl and it came with three mushy lemon caper thighs with a side of minute rice. The grilled cheese with garlic was garlic powder burned to the edges. We ordered 4 different cocktails and one was an old fashioned. The other 3 drinks were nothing short of using the word terrible. They were lemon drops in the form of a margarita, a whisky sour and a huckleberry drink (that had a black berry in it?) these other 3 drinks just tasted like straight lemon. Could not even finish them. Ordered the poutine but I think it was cheese slices not curds. The chicken dumplings were completely fine but I have the same ones in my fridge from the grocery store. All in all I left needing water from all the lemon my family just ingested.
