I've tried a few times and it's not been great. I felt like a bother to come in. Even when slow the food takes awhile to come out. Food not really warm. The burgers were drier than I've ever had and I can take a well done burger. Fries appear to be the frozen coated ones and just not that great. The burger to bun ratio is off IMO. Way too much bread. The building itself is nice but I want good food. I really want to love this place but I'm afraid it's not meant to be. read more

We arrived at about 7pm on a Saturday night. There was one table with people getting ready to leave and the bar seating was full. We noticed a sign telling us to seat ourselves so we did so. There were two people behind the bar, a female with blonde hair and tattoos on one arm and a guy wearing a durag. There was a younger guy with dark hair wiping some tables. We waited for someone to approach us. And waited some more. The female was serving people at the bar and came over to talk to the people at the table next to us...then ignored us to go over by the bar to look at her phone. Finally, the younger guy came over to ask us if we wanted menus. Then the female yells..."I've got it"and came over to ask for our drink orders. Our drinks came out and she walked off. We waited a bit for her to come back and take our orders. After at least a 20 minute wait, our food was brought to the table by a different female from the back. It was warm but not hot. The hamburgers are made from frozen pressed burgers. My husband asked for his medium rare and it was well done. The fries were good, so one star for that. My husband enjoyed his beer, another star. Zero stars for the service which was some of the worst we've ever had. This place was pretty empty on a Saturday night during dinner service. I guess we should have taken that as a sign. They are really missing the opportunity to provide great food and customer service. We won't be returning. read more

What a gem! Cool historic building with lots of old photos. Found this while on a roadtrip, when it's sometimes hard to find vegetarian food. Menu was fabulous- typical American pub food, but with an extensive list of vegan options. My husband went with the vegan cheesesteak sandwich, which was pretty good. I had a regular cheeseburger. We had fun playing along with the trivia game on the TV. I would definitely go back if I'm up this way again read more

I placed an order online to be picked up. The point is just down the street from where I live. I ordered fish and chips and our other order was fish tacos. After order was placed ($50. Pricey for basic pub food but everything is these days) a message pops up that they will call when the orders ready and a time range was given. After it was past the time, I ended up calling and asking if it was by chance ready yet. The woman who answered placed me on hold for a while, came back and said, 'give us about 5 min and it will be ready. I live 5 min away. When I got the food home, the food was barely warm, same w the fish tacos. Cold. After heating it up, the food was still mid at best. I was so disappointed. Unfortunately not the first time but it probably my last I'm pretty sure they forgot to call me and my food had been sitting for a while. read more

I really wanted to like The Point Pub and Grill, but the food was such a disappointment that I honestly left wondering how some of these dishes made it out of the kitchen. I ordered the cod po'boy, expecting something fresh, flaky, and at least somewhat true to the name. What I got instead was essentially a sandwich filled with a frozen fish stick--no flavor, no texture, nothing remotely like real cod. It felt lazy and honestly a bit insulting for the price. We also tried the vegan burger, which somehow managed to be even worse. The patty was falling apart, the vegan cheese was barely melted, and the whole thing was served on a gluten-free bun that wasn't sturdy enough to hold anything together. It turned into a mushy, crumbly mess after the first bite. Overall, this was some of the most disappointing food I've had in a long time. The Point Pub and Grill might be fine for grabbing a drink, but if you're going for a meal--especially anything advertised as a specialty--I'd look elsewhere. Four of us had lunch there a few days ago. $103.50. Two of us had $20 and #21.50 hamburgers. Both fell apart in our hands before we could complete them. Slippery does not make them gourmet. There used to be a rule of thumb that the "cost" of a restaurant meal was 33% of the menu price. I do not think the cost of the beef, lettuce, tomato was $7.00 even though beef prices are well up. Their computer suggests a tip beginning at 18%, so I reluctantly added $18.63. I don't think we will be back. read more

American Looking for a place to grab dinner after a long day of air travel, I found The Point after a quick Yelp search and headed over. The Point is set up as a pub with indoor and outdoor seating but since it was so hot, I grabbed a spot at the bar to cool down. Bartender got me going on my cocktail and gave me a men. Cocktail was well made and good sized. Menu is pretty comprehensive with a little of everything for everyone on there. As I was not starving, I skipped the appetizers and went with the BLT and added in some avocado with some fries. Sandwich arrived quickly and was a nice spin in the standard BLT. Portion size was perfect (for me) and absolutely did the trick. Overall a perfect spot if you are looking for a meal and some cocktails or beers - they had a nice selection of beers on tap, but beer is not really my thing. Give it a shot - definitely a nice place. Parking on the street or a very limited few spots in the back. read more

This pub was in walking distance from our hotel so we stopped in for a late night snack and drinks. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, a margarita, and a Cuban Libre. My husband liked his Cuban Libre but I was not fond of my margarita. The quesadilla was good but nothing special. The atmosphere was nice and the bartender/server was friendly and attentive. They had a taco Tuesday flavor board that looked neat but we were not there on a Tuesday to see what it was all about. read more

First off..when walking in the atmosphere is amazing. So much lovely character in this old brick building. We were immediately greeted and told to choose any table we wanted. At 6 pm it was busy. We chose a table. Ordered drinks and a meal and really enjoyed ourselves. We had the fish and chips and Irish Nachos along with a beer and a delicious Oregon Cosmo. Unlike many places it was not too noisy. Just fine actually. read more

My husband heard a family member talk about eating here so decided to give it a try. His decision did not let us down. They had inside and outside seating. It was a nice evening so we chose the back patio. It had a lovely display of colorful umbrellas to shade if needed from those at times blazing hot days. Lots of cool areas to sit. You could eat by the fire pit, a little hidden spot under the trees or out in the open. The staff was friendly. The macaroni and cheese tastes like it was cooked on the grill. The smoky cheese flavor was amazing. The food had caused our taste bud to be excited. My husband said his burger was the best he has ever had. It was so FLIPPING GOOD! Not joking at all. Will never forgive them for getting rid of the pasta off their menu. Used to eat it all the time and it was so amazing. The pasta could come with either salmon or cod and I tried both and both were good. Now that the pasta is gone I eat their burgers, which are still delicious but no where near the level of the pasta. I have once also tried their gluten free bun which I couldn't even taste a difference. The staff can be a little quiet and one time eating here our server didn't hardly come to our table and check on us and was pretty absent. I went to The Point yesterday with a group of friends. Three of us ordered the fish tacos. All three of our orders came to the table cold after a long wait. They were covered in mayonnaise. While the grilled cod, although cold, tasted good, there was not a hint of Mexican flavor to the dish. read more

The staff and ambiance are the best! I have two emotional support parrots and one of them spied their beautiful ceiling fans and couldn't help herself but fly up and check them out. She was having the time of her life and squaking at customers. She even tried to land on a beautiful lady's head and have some of her delicious looking salad. The staff was amazingly helpful! Angela a server, I'm assuming, brought me a ladder and orange slices to coax her down. The whole experience was too crazy to even make up! But this place is the bee's knees! So many great and classic pub and grill options to choose from. Decided on the pulled pork sliders that came topped with Mac and cheese and a side of fries. They were so delicious that I finished them off rather quickly, lol. Paired with a tequila mule not sure what the house tequila was, but that was a refreshing drink! We ended the meal with a brownie topped with bananas and vanilla ice cream. These 3 are married in flavor and wasn't too rich or sweet. We were taken care of by a very pleasant woman who said our choices were her favorites as well- she wasn't wrong! Loved the old pub look, but had modern fixtures. They also have their own products and apparel in a glass case for sale. I came in during a work trip and will definitely return again! Thanks for a great experience! read more

I have noticed a major declining trend in quality of food and services in restaurants. I got the highest recommended salad (chicken bacon ranch $18) for my birthday lunch. The lettuce was iceberg, but, it was the lightest color of "green" in the natural world. Due to all of the crunchiest, lower bits of the head of lettuce filling my plate, it took determination but, I managed to finish it up after 20 minutes of spearing each piece of iceberg onto my fork. The waitress was a 10/10 though. She was attentive & would've likely tried to accommodate me. But, I'd rather just opt for a burger next time. This is not your local salad joint. I've been ignored as often as I've been served in this pub, so the service is hit-or-miss and sometimes pretty terrible. The environment is promising by the looks of it, but there is no payoff. People do not come here to be social. They come here to be left alone or to meet up with people they already know. The food is also just food. Not disgusting but also nothing to get excited about. If there is anything they are the best at, I have yet to find it. The fish tacos are so stuffed with tomato that I think they forgot the salt, the Reuben is just hot deli meat, and I've had fresher salads out of a bag. I hope they do better because there is a lot of promise here, but I will probably never know. It's too disappointing to keep believing they'll be better next time. read more

My family was in town for my husband's memorial service, so I wanted a spot to let down and have no responsibility following the service. The Point has a banquet room and Keri was responsive to email inquiries and other adjustments as time drew nearer. The space is comfortable and has pool tables, shuffleboard, and board games. The buffet was excellent, providing a mix of assemble-your-own sandwiches, pastas, and salad. Especially delicious were the pinwheel sandwiches and pork sliders. The portions available were generous--remarkable considering how many active young people in our group. Our assigned waiter was brilliant with keeping track of drink orders and marching up and down the stairs all evening for our various requests. He was super polite and just a competent presence. read more

Waited an hour today with my family and never received anything but water. On our way out the manager said they were just bringing our food out. I told him we had been waiting for an hour and had not received anything. He then argued with me and said it was a 24 minute ticket. Sure maybe 24 minutes from when they started making it but not from when we ordered. I told him that I understand places are understaffed but you shouldn't be seating people if you can't bring 4 sodas within an hour. He continued on with every excuse other than just a simple apology. Getting to the Point, this restaurant does a decent job. The meals weren't spectacular but they were very good. The beer choices were awesome and the service was terrific. Server by the name of Britt spilled beer on me a couple of times and Ranch dressing once. That's not a complaint, it's a compliment! She filled those beer mugs to the brim! No volume was spared. I nickname her "Britt Spiller" but now that I look at that it must've been the beer talking last night. All the staff were jovial super fun to visit with. I think if I visited their six or eight times I'd find that one thing on the menu that was spectacular for me and then I call this my local watering hole. read more
