Piola was a random lunch spot and I'm glad we stopped. The good as great! We had the Bruschetta as an appetizer. I then had the lunch combo with a minestrone soup and the Capri pizza. I thought they would be small portions but it was a great size. The food was absolutely delicious. My friend has the Spaghetti with meatballs and it looked just as amazing. This is a great place for lunch. The service was excellent and food was delicious. I had the spaghetti all'antonia which is just meatballs and tomato sauce. It was simple but great flavors. I also got the bruschetta that came with homemade sliced bread, tomato, and olive oil. The bread was a bit soggy when the dish arrived to our table but you can taste the fresh ingredients. My coworker ordered the lunch special which you get the option of a soup or salad and a pizza or pasta. She ordered the minestrone soup that looked amazing and had wondered fulfilling taste. I really liked their crust and overall don't have any complaints on the pizza's flavor. Unfortunately the slices were totally unevenly cut but I definitely would order pizza for takeout again! I ordered a pizza and a salad, both delicious. Only problem was service, I felt like I had to chase them down for everything. I purchased a wine bottle from their store, and when given the bill I noticed a cork fee of $10. I was not informed of this when I spoke to our waiter. And aren't cork fees for when you bring in your own bottle? I found it odd that I was being charged a cork fee for a bottle I purchased there, so I asked the waiter and he had the manager come over to my table. Let's just say she was not very nice. I love Piola. It's a very casual restaurant, food is delicious and simple. The salads are really good, pizzas are delicious. Service can be either great or average but this past Wednesday we were helped by Stephanie and she was awesome. She was great with suggestions, friendly and the most important thing she remembered every single thing we asked. On Memorial Day I went back to Piola with my mom and we had a wonderful time. For drinks we had Pino Grigio " Collevento" and it was great. As She ordered the Capricciosa which it was delicious and I had the Garibaldi with olive oil and balsamic on the side #yummy. Thank you Lehandys for such a great service!!! Update 11/18/18 stopped by Piola for a quick bit before dropping off my friend at the airport and we were so happy we decided to eat there.
