Recently went to Pinstripes for the first time, and it was so much fun! Will definitely be back with friends or for a date night. Service was a bit slow, but they did seem to be busy as there was a private party happening. I can't speak to the food since we didn't order, but I had the mezcalita cocktail, and it was good! I wish they had a bit more wine options, but they do have a pretty decent cocktail menu to select from. Parking was a bit tricky since there's limited signage on where to go; did not provide a ticket to be validated as others mentioned, so it cost about $9 for the 2.5 hours we were there. read more

Well, I been to this place at a weeknight, I actually love the place, the interior, bowling and bocci. Most of the staffs were nice. Food were fine but now I m doubt I will come back to eat the from regular menu. One of the reason I wanted to check out this new place was because I want to held a small birthday party. However, there was no sales person I can talk to the other night. I emailed to someone listed on the brochure 2nd day seek for advice and I got a very standard email reply as the brochure. I called and someone said whoever in charge this not in office. I guess they didn't really care a small party business but only big one. Well, maybe they are just unlucky that I was really interested to have a small party but no one willing to work with me. I don't really want to give too bad rating. Although if I could get my party arranged, I might really love this place. I am not sure if I will go back. I just don't like the whole concept about don't care small business. read more

I came to Pinstripes after seeing it appear on my Yelp recommendations for hot and new places in Houston. Located in Upper Kirby, Pinstripes has a bistro, bowling, and bocce. I visited for Friday night date night with my significant other. We made a reservation for a bocce lane. We were seated upstairs and placed at a casual table by the last bocce ball lane. We had never played before and the hostess explained the game and our server also provided additional instructions. Our food and drinks were timely and delicious. I highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms. My only issue is that there were several children running up and down the bocce lanes and a few times interrupted our game. The children were being children, but the parents were NOT being attentive. After a one too many interruptions of the game, I kindly requested our server address the issue with the guests and he did and it was resolved. I will be coming back, I plan to celebrate my birthday with a brunch and bocce ball. read more

If I could've given this place negative stars, I would've. Made reservations for a joint birthday celebration separately at the restaurant and at the bowling alley. Waited 15 min to be brought to our table despite the place being 60% empty. Our server went MIA after the initial greeting and we had to flag down another person who wasn't assigned to us to order. Our food came but we had no utensils - when we got our server's attention she acted visibly annoyed. She showed up with utensils, only to give them to another table who came after us. The only redeeming feature of dinner was Logan who took our orders and gave us utensils, a long time after food came. Same (if not worse) experience when we went to get our bowling alley assigned. The person at the front desk made us wait 25 minutes past our reservations (what is the point of making any reservations in this place even), initially quoted the wrong price, and told us another server will guide us upstairs. The server never came and she ended up taking us, and was hostile when answering questions. One of the worse service I've experienced, especially when charging these prices. I have to start by saying I loved everything about this place. We made reservations and when we came in they were ready to seat us immediately. The scenery, even before the food made me want to spend money. It was brunch time, bottomless mimosas! I had the chicken wings in the "spicy" sauce that wasn't actually spicy, but it was delicious!! Also I had the chicken sandwich, and my date had the chicken parm. Everything taste like heaven. The view we had made everything ten times better, the wind touched our faces gently as we looked out over upper Kirby. The bottomless mimosas were flowing and we got as drunk we could, responsibly. We had a family reunion of 90 people here at Pinstripes and it was a great experience. Staff was professional and courteous from the managers to the servers. A special shout out to Paige for helping with taking pictures and to Melvin for keeping things flowing smoothly. We had the American luncheon and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I didn't hear any one complaining. I can also vouch for the sangria, it was so delicious. The venue itself is nice, It has a nice patio area and bar area. This place sucks. Wish I didn't have to even give it one star. I made reservations on OpenTable for "standard seating" for 6:00 PM on a Friday weeks before my wife's birthday. We showed up to the restaurant on time and went to check in at the front desk. They said they didn't have our reservation. I showed the girl the confirmation email from OpenTable and she stated that all reservations made through OpenTable are for outside tonight. It was cold, rainy, and windy. We had a party of 10 who drove down for my wife's birthday. And we all valet parked due to a difficult parking garage situation. Needless to say I was pretty upset and asked the front desk if the plan was to sit us outside in the rain and combine tables... to which she stated yes, that she was going to wipe down the chairs and tables for us. As she is actively trying to dry tables and chairs on the patio it's continuing to rain and wind is pushing the rainwater back to the tables and chairs as she tried to dry the area. While our party of 10 stood there and waited huddled in the little cover that the entrance had we watched several workers try and get the umbrellas/heaters to work, which they never did. The hostess then returned inside, while the tables were continuing to get soaked (still). At the request of our party and out of my frustration I went inside and told the hostess we would not be sitting outside due to the wind, cold, and rain and simply thought "why would anyone even be offered the option?" We called Picos across the street (thank god) and they immediately said they were available for a party of 10 and saved the day for us. I was never told while making a reservation that "standard" seating meant outside. Nor is it on their reservation site on OpenTable anywhere. I can only assume that when being told the entire inside of the restaurant was being "rented out" that all individual reservations got pushed to the outside and they catered to making more money from some corporate business. Very sad. Apparently two days prior to our experience another guest review I read had the same thing happen to her as she posted on OpenTable. Needless to say, we won't ever be back. read more

A group of five of us went for the purpose of bowling and having fun. We had fun but we're unable to really sit down together because honestly there's just not enough space they have a huge table in the middle and it's just really uncomfortable. It's very tight and for the money I was really disappointed we paid $250 for two hours for five people and on top of that we paid $172 for food so it was a $400 night just to bowl. If I'm gonna spend that kind of money, I want to be able to sit together eat together laugh together and not trip over each other when it's our time to get up and throw the Ball! read more

Came on a Thursday for date night and was really impressed. Unfortunately, we weren't able to bowl since we didn't book ahead. I suggest booking at least a couple days in advance to get a desirable time. Nonetheless, we still had a great experience. We ordered some drinks and checked the place out. The space is huge, clean, and nicely decorated. There's a bunch of areas for seating, a bowling alley, bocce, and a really nice outdoor patio. They are also very carefully following Covid protocols. On Thursdays, there's half off all cocktails which is an amazing deal. Not to mention, their Moscow mule is one of the best I've had. We came the following week on a Thursday as well and pre-booked bowling. We had a nice time and were really impressed with service and vibes. I saw Pinstripes on social media and had to come check it out. It stood out to me for its upscale vibe with bowling thrown in. Bocce is also available if you are into that. It is easy to find and parking is either valet or self parking for a fee. I made a reservation for 6pm in the bistro. We wanted to bowl as well but didn't reserve that due to not knowing how long we would be dining. Customer service was outstanding from start to finish. We got their way earlier than our reservation so we sat at the bar upstairs and enjoyed some happy hour goodies. The happy hour here is pretty good as far as choices go. We enjoyed great drinks, calamari, truffle fries and pepperoni pizza. All of it was delicious. We decided to dine on the patio which is very spacious and just a great space all around. The whole place is is nice and elegant, not your typical bowling alley. When it came to the entrees, we were pretty unimpressed. My steak was overcooked and just a very cheap cut. The flavor was good and it was close to closing so I did not send it back. I do not like to be that guy unless it is totally inedible. We were on a waiting list for bowling but never got a text saying there was anything available. That is no fault of the establishment. Overall, this is a pretty awesome place. Came back to give pinstripes another try after my first bad experience. Second try. I really wanted to give it a 3 star but since the manager was so nice to try to fix the problem I'll go for 4 star. We had a reservation for bowling for four. We were greeted and taken to our bowling lane. I guess I didn't notice last time but this visit felt different. We were so close to the other bowlers in the next it was to the point it was uncomfortable. There's nothing they can do about this though. The lanes are short and the seating around the lane is tight. My issue last time was kids were running around in our lanes and this time I noticed my neighbors daughter was bowling a few lanes down and they were underage drinking!! They didn't ID anyone in our group that evening and obviously not that group of young girls.. SMH! Over all you can have fun, get decent food and drinks. It's a safe environment and clean. What I particularly like about this place is the second floor outdoor patio with a fireplace and heaters. Items we ordered: The Fettuccine Bolognese - my absolute favorite! The mascarpone melted beautifully with the pasta - swipe to see it in action Cast Iron Ribeye - we inhaled this dish!! The seasoning was amazing and the potatoes and brussel sprouts that came with the ribeye tasted amazing as well! I couldn't comment on anything else besides the method of making reservations and being "bumped" for some unknown reason that the manager could not explain nor rectify. I called on 01/27/23 to make reservations for two lanes for a party of 10 at 630 pm on 02/18. I received email confirmations on 01/27 and another email on 02/16 asking to confirm the reservation which I did. I received a call on 02/18 at approximately 5 pm informing me that someone at Pinstripes has been trying to contact me (my call logs and lack of voicemails prove otherwise). She told me that due to a "system error or glitch" my reservation was no longer valid and that someone else who made the reservation same day (02/18) took our spots. They offered no other explanation aside from "something happened with the system". Although the manager could see my reservation and the date I booked it. Their response was they could compensate us for another day. We said no thank you and honestly question why they didn't inform the individuals who booked same day that it was in error and instead called me. Needless to say, I won't be a patron of this establishment in the future. I'm sure this won't hurt your business but it's the principle of the thing. What's hilarious is I received an email today asking how my experience was at Pinstripes. Funny how your system can still send me those emails but somehow "bumped" my reservations. read more

Was very impressed with the entrance, would have never thought it would have been a bowling place. It looked like an entrance to a cafe. Chafer food was good for what you would expect. I recently visited Pinstripes for a double date, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Upon arrival, we were able to sit at our table before the other guests arrived (which I appreciated!) and was immediately impressed by the beautiful upstairs patio area, complete with a fire pit and heaters. It was such a cute vibe! The service was wonderful and food/drinks were even better. The ribeye, Brussel sprouts, and potatoes were a favorite of the table as well as the wings and cocktails. After, we enjoyed a fun round of bowling to complete the night. The experience was great, but I kindly suggest maybe having a dj for the bowling area on Friday and Saturday nights. I went back Halloween weekend for a "socially distanced" party and tried regular menu food, which was also very good (you have to get the truffle fries, Burrata salad, and calamari). I recommend cauliflower wings the pasta did not hit a home run lasagna was lukewarm fries were fine. Food came out faster than our drinks or refills did. We were ignored and forgotten. No matter how many times my fiancé tried to get their attention. Our food ended up cold and gross while we waited. I ended up noticing my heel felt loose as if it were snapped and I had to pee. I asked my fiancé to show me where the restrooms were and to walk me there so I could also see where the elevator was bc I don't want to risk going back down through the stairs. We get up he walks me to the restroom I was about to ask him to wait there in case I needed help with my shoe when our waiter comes back running to us and ask if we're leaving and that we need to pay. I looked at him baffled and at my fiancé baffled and embarrassed because I knew what he was insinuating. I go to the restroom by myself to get myself together while he waits on the receipts and the drinks we kept waiting for that never arrived are being charged to our tab. I get back to the table infuriated when I see the drinks we never received on the tab. I trudged my way to the bar where there are 5 workers including the waiter laughing as I approached and I tell him I'm not paying for things I never got the family of ten sees this and goes quiet as his coworkers do. He excuses himself and goes to change my tab to what we actually did receive. I paid it and wobbled my way back with my broken heel to where we sat and had my fiancé help me get to the elevator. Worst experience ever being served, most embarrassing thing to happen while trying to take my partner to a nice meal. There was never a party that arrived upstairs. Food was meh at most, we had ordered more water and cocktails and soda to see which drink was faster to receive. My family had a large celebration party last night and it was fabulous, the food was delicious especially their steaks, the absolute best steak I've ever had, melt in your mouth and perfectly cooked. The experience was primarily good, but personally I wasn't blown away. The location and ambiance were both nice, it was definitely upscale. Parking was not so fun, but the parking charge wasn't crazy like some places. You don't get the Dave and Busters vibe from it. Not to get too comparative, but it's more like if Dave and busters had on a 2 piece suit. That's the sort of class and scenery you get, while still having a good menu and fun activities. The food was delicious, the bowling lanes were decent, the servers were dressed appropriately, and the service was good. Definitely a place to go for parties and events for a more mature audience. Places like main event, Dave and busters, etc. will still have a large percentage of child (20 y/o and under) occupancy, so if you're looking to escape that then this is a fairly good choice. You can definitely still get away with going somewhere like a traditional bowling alley or main event and be fine... thus why I say I'm not blown away. Hope this helps! read more

So this entire time I thought this was a men's clothing store because I only saw it from Kirby heading south. Whoops. Went here for Sunday Funday brunch and it was really tasty. My blueberry smash was perfect, just enough fruit and just enough alcohol to keep me floating for a couple of hours. The avocado toast had pumpkin seeds on it and some truffle oil. The description on the menu...wait there was no description. The actual product was way better then we thought. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich was also really good. This place is fairly new and so my review is not harsh. I went with a small group of friends (5 of us in total) on a Monday afternoon during Christmas Break at around 1 PM. Xavier ended up being our waiter. It wasn't much happening. It took a while for them to bring us water and even longer to bring us a menu (I think they were trying to figure out who our waiter was?). However, after we got those things, things ran mostly smoothly. Kitchen was a bit slow but not unbearably. When speaking with waiter I expressed my uncertainty for Brussel sprouts he brought some out for us to sample. They were great! My maple salmon was perfectly prepared! Superb! My family and I were visiting The Color Factory across the street and stopped in on our way out. It was right after the brunch rush and beginning of their dinner menu. It was great for us as we were the only ones in our section. However, the start of the service was pretty slow. It took about 15 minutes to actually take our order. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was good, but nothing that knocked my socks off. My husband ordered the Boneless Short Rib. Love Pinstripes! Sutton Adventures hosted a Bowling and Bae event and we had a blast!!!! Upon entering the building we were greeted with ear to ear smiles and provided with our bowling shoes. We were directed up the stairs to our event! Staff was placed strategically to ensure everyone was greeted upon entrance. We found our way to lane 9 and were immediately serviced by a staff member informing us of the group setup regarding unlimited food and mimosas! The brunch was absolutely delicious. Eggs with cheese and red bell peppers, bacon, seasoned potatoes, chicken tenders/waffles, and a variety of fruit. I had not one complaint as everything was prepared to perfection. The bacon was crispy, eggs soft, but not runny, waffles soft and edible and juicy chicken tenders! The variety for mimosas included grapefruit, orange, and cranberry juice! Staff was ready to serve as they cleared empty plates, offered to refill drinks, and direct us where we needed to go! Service was so good that I'm thinking about hosting my birthday party there!!!!!
