SHRIMP LINGUINI GREEN GODDESS TURKEY BURGER

Food was great. Our server made great cocktails. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and cozy with low lighting. It is within iPic, so tucked away and intimate. Very plush seating. Would definitely visit again.

Stopped by as we were waiting for our movie at iPic theaters to begin. The movie theater and the lounge are connected although they are separate businesses. Although we only had the truffle fries and a few drinks (wine and espresso martinis), I have to say they were really delicious. The servers are attentive and nice, and the ambiance is a bit like a speakeasy with low lighting and a vintage feel. I plan to return to try their full menu soon--will update this review when I am able to try more dishes.

The Tuck room is very disappointing to be in such a great neighborhood in Houston. I will be reviewing the atomosphere, service and food. The restaurant is casual with modern decor with a unique wall mural that can be used as a conversation starter. The place also has the potential to be a great place for dining with friends. The reality is this is a place I will never bring family or friends. Very slow service and unattenttentive wait staff. My party consisted of 4 people. Upon entering we were not shown to our tables just told to sit anywhere we please and the wait staff didn't approach our table for at least 10 min of sitting to at least offer water. Keep in mind the restaurant at this time only had eight people including my party at the time to serve. Once the server walked up she never introduced herself or welcome us to the restaurant she asked for our drink orders in a reluctant manner. A little while after the waitress was no where to be found and we were ready to order appetizers. Receiving food in this place was like pulling teeth and the place was not busy at all. The most people in the place were fourteen including my party. We ordered Truffle fries that were soggy and lack truffle, Brussel Sprouts that definitely have room for improvement like needs a sauce of some kind and Artichoke Dip that was nothing special. The entrees that we ordered were Chicken Sandwhich that was sent back because it did come out the way the wait staff told me I could order it. When Larry the manager came over to ask why the food was sent back after receiving the answer he was very chalant about it so I decided not to order anything. Although I was the last to order food my food came out first and the rest if my party's food was not delivered. If I would have eaten I most likely would have been halfway through my meal before my party got started because it was another 20 minutes before the next order came out and one person in my party never received her order. Come to find out her order was never placed. When it was time to pay the check. We originally put a card on file to start a tab we did let the wait staff know that our tickets would be separate, and the wait staff told us they would not run the card and we could have split checks upon check out time. The waitress ran the credit card and did not split our checks. That was ridiculous and very rude to lie. This restaurant has a potential however the staff needs training and the management team need coaching and development pronto! If not the establishment will suffer financially due to lack of quality service.

    My strawberry basil delight

Keto menu???? Yes, please! I've been here a few times before but I was exceptionally pleased to learn that they had a keto menu. I think this accommodation of one of the newer, modern way of eating is a nod to its progressive environment. Beautiful interior design, excellent drinks, great service, and lovely atmosphere. It's homey yet edgy and wistful. Perfect for date night or a casual get-together (they have lovely stuffed chairs and a balcony. For my drink, I had the strawberry basil delight. My main course was the succulent Angus Burger lettuce cups complete with cheese (nom nom nom) and for dessert, I tried their keto cheesecake, which was not as good as the real thing but was still good enough to diminish my sweet tooth cravings. I had a lovely time and would love to return and check out their bar area and balcony.

    Grilled Chicken Tacos

My husband and I have been to the tuck room a few times. This restaurant located inside of Ipic is playing on both sides of hit and miss. The atmosphere is great, the decor is beautiful, and the ease of having a nice seat is one of the reasons why we like to come to this establishment for date night. The issue is the food. Sometimes the food is delicious and sometimes it's just ok. On this visit (sep. 12.19) I ordered the Brussel sprouts. They were amazing as they were the previous time I ordered them. There is consistency with the sprouts! The Brussels sprouts have a unique flavor profile and I can honestly say they are on my list of top Brussel sprouts in the city. The cashews and apples are just bomb. Now the downfall.... the grilled chicken tacos. They were a miss for me. The chicken was dry and the taco as a whole lacked flavor. The serving consists of 2 tacos, a side of guacamole and chips. I only ate 1 taco out of the 2 so that tells you something... who wastes tacos?!?! The guacamole was decent but it was a very small serving. The chips were the best part of the entree. They were seasoned well with a good crunch. My husband had the wagyu beast burger. The burger was pretty good. I liked that they asked how you would like it prepared. My husband felt that the bun was too much bread. He actually took off the top and ate it as if it was an open faced sandwich. The French fries that accompanied the burger were hot and fresh and seasoned well. No complaints there. We also order the white sangria. We both enjoyed the flavor. Could have been a little stronger but overall a solid drink. Next visit we will try something else and revisit the lobster roll and the buttermilk fried chicken because those dishes were awesome on the previous visit. P.s. don't forget about those Brussels sprouts!

The Tuck Room is my new favorite hidden gem. If you have never stepped foot inside the iPic Theater you may never find out about it, unless you are on Yelp of course. In my opinion this place should stand alone, and not inside of a movie theater. I enjoyed The Tuck Room from the time I walked in until I left. They have an awesome live band on Fridays called, Vinyl Fuzion and they really set the mood (I loved it). The reason I gave this place 4 stars was due to a few errors in the service. My guest and I waited 30 minutes for the complimentary snack (it was free so we didn't complain about the time), but it would have been nice if the bartender would have offered or mentioned it to us, we came across it on the March Madness menu (Note: this was my guest 3rd or 4th time at this place & he knew nothing about the snack,so I assume it was only offered during March Madness). After enjoying the tasty snack we decided to order wings, which took about 10-12 minutes, so no issue there; however, we received the wrong order. Also, since the bar is somewhat small I would recommend purse hooks for the guest. I held my purse in my lap the entire time, which was a bit uncomfortable. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and I plan to return. The mellow vibe, and live music was really enjoyable. TIP: It is located inside of the iPic Theater on the 2nd floor.

Who would have thought that the movies would have a great bar? I usually go during the weekend and they usually have a live band on Friday. The drinks and food are terrific. I usually get the ginger fizz infused with basil and the burgers are pretty amazing. It's a bit pricey but the ambiance is good. It's a bit upscale but not unreasonably so. They even have TVs to watch whatever game is on. The menu at the bar also seems more extensive than the one you get inside the theater. I usually just go to hang out at the bar and bypassing the movies. Although that too is a very nice experience.

    Ahi tuna poke
    Sierra N.

Drove over 30 mins to get my favorite Tuna poke from here as a takeout and my bf ordered the fried chicken sandwich. So sad honestly. When we got back home my tuna poke was just so inedible. The rice was not rice. It was complete mush. My bf's fries were so bad looking like they haven't changed the oil in forever. We ended up having to toss the food because it was just not the quality I remembered.

    Lobster Roll with fries

********* 2.5 Stars because the waitress tried to make the experience better...else it would just be 2 stars. ************ This place came in way below my expectation! The menu is very limited and the service was extremely slow. It took 30 minutes to get an appetizer and there was hardly anyone in the entire restaurant! Other than someone sitting at the bar, there was only one other table with people seated. The waitress was nice enough to have the manager comp the appetizer - without me even complaining or asking - because she knew it was ridiculous. The best thing Tuck's has going for them is the ambiance. It looks like a cool place to grab a seat at the bar or a table, but the food isn't worth it and the drinks are over priced.

Easy going chill environment located within iPic Houston! Upon being seated in the Tuck Room prior to our movie at the iPic; decided to get some drinks - I ended up trying the Norma Jean! Do not get this drink on tap; I repeat do not get on tap lol; have it made fresh at the bar - it is worth it! I did dig the layout of the location as well as the service provided at the bar! It was an afternoon outing and not many people in the venue (which was great for quick service) however, there were a ton of lingering finished dishes at the bar that let off a weird odor! In my opinion they could have been more prompt in cleaning off the bar table from past customers. Nonetheless, this was a solid option for some afternoon drinking. If in the area definitely give the Tuck Room a try. Cheers,

    Veronica J.

First off, service was awesome! Maybe because it was a Sunday? Honestly I wouldn't come back here unless it was happy hour, otherwise it's way too expensive and I've had better drinks at local bars. I ordered a Moscow mule and even after mixing it, the agave nectar was overbearing. I just about finished my boyfriend's water by the time I was done with it. I see that they use premium ingredients which I get but if I ever do come back I think I'd stick to a shot, wine or beer. The interior is very nice, I'm glad to have gave it a try finally! ***if you go during the week you could check out hop doddy,'s happy hour, I went there last time because I was skeptical about the prices here (which I was right) and the drinks/food were worth it! I mean you spend a lot for the movie in general, don't want to spend the same amount on drinks alone.

Cocktails such as ol fashions and cape cods are plentiful here. I also appreciate they do a new york sour here which is an underrated cocktail. Cigars are sold here too and they have cutters and plenty of torch lighters to spark them up. We had a reservation and were still seated in an overflow area while multiple tables in the main dining room sat open. We ordered drinks, and after they were brought out, no one ever came back to take our food order. Meanwhile, tables around us were fully serviced, while staff didn't even look in our direction. We waited over an hour for our table to be "ready." No one checked on us or gave updates--we had to track someone down ourselves, only to be met with an annoyed, dismissive attitude. Additionally, a manager approached us with a snarky, hostile comment about taking a photo with flash. It was a birthday dinner--of course we wanted to take a picture! Instead of being accommodating, the interaction just added to how unwelcome we already felt. After finally being seated, the horrible service continued. Our waitress attended to the table next to us multiple times and never once came back to check on us. After waiting that long just to be ignored again, we left and went to another restaurant nearby and had a significantly better experience. What's most concerning is that many reviews describe this exact same experience, while others claim good service. That level of inconsistency makes it hard not to feel like the restaurant is profiling guests and deciding who gets attention and who gets overlooked. We were also the only Latinas there, which makes the inconsistency even more uncomfortable and hard to ignore. Unwelcoming, rude, and not worth your time.
