Definitely had a fun vibe and variety of things to do from video games and bowling. Felt like a nicer D&B. The bowling was great but pricey show rentals. The lane was $26 during week day and show rental for $5 per person on top of that. So for an hour we spent $60 , the lane significantly more Friday and weekends. The WTF platter was a ton of food that was good but super greasy and paid for it the next day. But it did the job for everyone in absorbing the alcohol. read more

We arrived early on a weekday in order to take advantage of their non-peak bowling rates. As an added bonus everything was freshly cleaned and organized. But, the best part of all was having the VIP section entirely to ourselves. The wait staff had few guests to attend to, so just minutes after pressing the "service" button on the screen we were enjoying our drinks. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better bowling experience. Next stop was the arcade. On the plus side it, too, was clean and contained a wide variety of games to suit kids of all ages. However, several of the machines took our money/credit but never let us play. Also, some of the games display ticket amounts as prizes that don't correspond to the points you actually earn (other yelpers have mentioned this as well). For example, a large spinning wheel that we won 100 tickets on only awarded us a fraction of that. Unfortunately, these sparse awards seemed to be a recurring theme throughout the arcade. Finally, the prize selection process which should also be a fun time was quite the opposite. My 6 year old son wanted a ball that didn't have a price on it. When we asked the attendant about it she said it was 350 points. He was elated because he had more than enough points which allowed him to choose additional prizes. As he continued shopping the attendant walked out and another one came in to take her place. Moments later when we tried to check out, that person told us the ball was double the points so he didn't have enough to get it. She couldn't have cared less that the previous employee had just quoted us a different price, she wasn't budging. Now, I'm not going to kick up a big fuss over a toy only worth a couple of dollars but it was the surly, negative attitude along with zero effort to verify our claim that left a bad taste in my mouth. Love this adult playground of sorts! Tap into your inner child again and go play all of the arcade games. I haven't been able to go bowling there just yet so that will be the next time. But you have to go check out the skee ball!! That has been my jam since I was a child. Load up your bucks onto a card and go crazy. You can win tickets and cash them in for fun prizes. I also love the race car games and basketball etc. Come here for a fun date / game night to tap into your inner competitor. Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition! The food is also pretty solid so you can get your grub on here as well. I can imagine it gets pricey when you add the bowling in so just make sure you come on a day when you're ready to spend! Really enjoyed my first time here at Pinstack! My uncle was in town, so my mom and I decided to surprise him and take him bowling. We all had an amazing time! We were able to use the machines and put the bumpers up for all three of us and it helped our scores so much! I actually bowled 130, which is amazing for me when I usually bowl like 60 or so! I definently will be using bumpers for bowling going forward! The customer service was so great as well. We visited Pinstack for the first time this weekend - the wait for a bowling lane was long but their text message system to alert when the lane is ready is efficient - we took the hour or two guide they gave us as a wait period as an opportunity to eat in the restaurant. We ordered a couple of pizzas and cheesy fries with bacon. First of all, the fries were not like any other cheesy fries I've had before - it was like they were submerged in a queso type sauce or cheese whiz with a definite good helping of paprika and salt. It was salty but strangely still edible despite how horrendous it looked. The pizzas were disasters- we sent one back and the other literally collapsed when we picked up a slice. It was drowning in sauce - much like the cheesy fries. I'm giving 4 stars overall because the place is fun and our server was fabulous. The food is absolutely terrible - go across the street or to the scratch kitchen next door to eat while you wait for your lane. Their text alert they send when the lane is ready does allow you to reply back and ask for 15 mins (or however much extra time you need) before you get to your lane. I don't recommend you eat here AT ALL - but I do recommend you bowl ! It's fun. PS the milkshakes are basically soft serve ice cream. Our kids ordered them and it was a cup of soft serve ice cream. Do yourself a favour and visit a place nearby to eawhile you wait. Much like Chucky Cheese and other similar places, food is not what places like this does best. read more

So i wanna know - how can i get Pinstack to come to Brooklyn??? This place is legit! Our motley crew of 6 friends were eager to find a place where we could do some bowling followed by an evening of watching the game, all at the same locale. Our 2 local friends suggested Pinstack, and it delivered on both and then some! Not only were we able to bowl, get our drink on, and later grub whilst watching the Cowboys v. Seahawks game - there's also an arcade and all kinds of fun activities (like a rock climbing wall and an overhead tight-rope course). We were TOO LIT! It was the perfect place to spend a fun day with friends or family. Minus 1 star: They've gotta do a better job of keeping the bathrooms clean! The Ladies' room got a bit grubby at times. And during the game, our food order got messed up way too many times because some random waiter who wasn't assigned to our table kept acting like he was supposed to take care of us. So me and my family have been here for bowling several times in the evening, and most recently I went in the mid afternoon, to make sure my experience wasn't a one time thing. We were snubbed on a evening out with my daughter and her friends and force to wait 3 hours (when being told we would have a 1.5 hour wait, at the designated time I was told it would be a few minutes later, this cycle repeated several times). Horrible service, but the bright side was our server who was positive and helpful and took care of us. I went back for a mid afternoon recently to try them out as a less busy time, same bad attitude from the bowling staff (it was as if I was bothering them and they hated their job). I will not be back again, the price here is easily 2x the cost at other bowling chains. For starters, the food we ordered was overpriced, cold and took 40ish minutes to get. The staff were slow and inconsiderate, and the environment in there was borderline unsafe. Wow this place is complete and utter rubbish. No wonder the ratings have tanked. 1.5-2hr wait for bowling. Rude as hell staff. Make sure you don't miss their reso because even a minute later, you will be sent to the back of the line. Our group waited 2 hours only to find that out. I will never give my money to a place like this. Already wasted enough time. The girl said "have a nice day" with a sarcastic smile. How could you say that knowing that? This is the second time now I've seen an employee enter the bathroom and leave without washing their hands. I am a male and this was in the men's restroom but, after seeing that. I refused to buy anything to eat or drink at this place. I've worked in hospitality when I was younger and I know the mentality but, now that I'm older and I've been in the medical field, I know how disgusting it is to not wash your hands on a regular basis. This was my first time going to Pinstack and I really like this place. The staff is friendly. The food is not that good but they have a large selection. We ordered the boneless wings. The wings were covered in sauce (good) but wings were not impressive. People do not come here for the food anyway. The place is extremely clean and all the games work. We did not go bowling because the price to bowl is extremely expensive during peak hours (Friday 5pm - Sunday close). The bumper cars room is pathetically small. Don't know why they didn't make this room bigger. Laser Tag arena is huge (2 floors). The rope challenge is pretty fun. The wall climb was my favorite. I recommend getting the VIP card. read more

If I could leave a zero star review I would. I am truly appalled by the behavior of the staff at Pinstack. I was at a birthday party earlier today when a group of 15-year-old girls celebrating a birthday was harassed by an employee. The employee harassed them, without evidence, and accused them of stealing a phone over an hour ago. They were harassed several more times by that employee in a very rude manner. They were joined by me over an hour after the purported incident, and no more than 5 minutes later, I was approached by an extremely rude employee, with zero customer service skills, that then went on and accused me of stealing the phone, and threatened to call the police. This harassment continued on for well over 5 minutes, when they went and checked the cameras. They presumably found out that they were harassing the group of teenagers for no reason. instead of apologizing to us For falsely accusing us of the theft, and threatening to call the police and have us arrested for a felony, he came back and stalked this group, which consisted mostly of 15 year old girls. I do not recommend this facility to anyone, and will personally not come here again. The harassment of a group of brown 15 year old girls by a middle aged white man is deplorable, and I hope that steps are taken to address this issue. read more

Edit: This review went from a two to one star as mgmt specifically asked that I contact them via email about this incident and has yet to response after a week. Water isn't free regardless of you ordering food/drinks or the temp outside (110F today). I went here with a group of friends, we ordered drinks and one girl requested water. The bartender told her she had to pay two dollars and water isn't free regardless of the temp outside. I told the manager what the bartender said and he apologized and said "they probably misunderstood and thought you asked for a bottle". I asked the bartender in three different ways and he told me the same thing. I asked another bartender and she told me "mgmt wants to cut down on plastic waste so they're asking we charge customer for water". I've been going to Pinstack since their grand opening for work functions and meet ups and never before have I heard of this gross violation of human rights. While this place is fun for family gatherings and get togethers, this business practice is appalling and I can no longer recommend Pinstack to others. Dave and Busters or Main Event are both down the street, offer water at no charge, and cost about the same. read more

We showed up and they put us on a waiting list that might have took 2 hrs. Even though the entire time there were no less than 7 of the 14 available lanes in use. First game there were none. But that could also be because 1st game was full. We were informed only 9 working guns so we couldn't have all our party in one game and really it was 8 working guns which only found while inside the game from someone in our party. Pinstack Bowl is a modern bowling alley, arcade, restaurant, and entertainment facility that is very similar to Dave & Busters. I know many reviews cover food, but this review will only focus on the activities I've experienced at Pinstack. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Pinstack is modern and cool. There is mood\black lighting in the bowling alleys and arcade. You'll hear laughs and electronic sounds too, and there's even a sports theme dining area. The seating area around the lanes are uber comfortable. And best of all? No smoke smells. 1 Star. Service - As you enter you'll be greeted at the hostess stand. I've been twice for birthdays, and the staff is top notch. On both occasions our hostess handled our bowling lane, got the group ready for food & cake, and did an amazing job letting our kids (and the parents) have a blast. I'm not sure how the restaurant or bowling staff are, but the crew that handles parties is awesome. 1 Star. Facility - The bowling lanes have big screens on the walls showing all sorts of shows & sports. Each pair of lanes have comfortable seating for lounging. Behind are extra tables & barstools for those who want to eat. The arcade is full of the latest interactive games. You'll also find a rock climbing wall, bumper cars, laser tag, and obstacle course above the arcade. Look up and you may see your kid. There are two types of games which have either a green or blue light. One lets you earn points to redeem in the prize shop while the other doesn't. This is important in case you're trying to save for a stuffed Pikachu doll. Pricing will vary. I hosted one party & was a guest at another. It's NOT cheap ($20+ a kid) but it IS worth it. 1 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Only for a party. I'm guessing if I do things a la cart: dinner + drinks + bowling + games could get pricey fast. Not sure I would do it for myself. Mimosas were good. But this has to be the absolute worst breakfast. After looking forward to the pancake tower for so long. We were highly disappointed. Scrambled soft, how do you mess that up?
