Since it was still pretty hot out, Meg and I decided to go for the iced spanner latte, and DAMN, the one made by Jiho was probably one of the most artisanal, beautifully handcrafted drinks I've ever had. Not only did it look absolutely gorgeous, but it was delicious. The espresso was bold yet balanced with condensed milk and slight hints of cocoa powder, topped with a tangy, creamy mascarpone quenelle and tiny buds of rosemary that added a wonderfully fragrant note to the rich coffee. Every element felt incredibly deliberate and delicate, and the whole drink came together beautifully. I've drank shit tons of coffee & fun drinks around the world and this was definitely one of the best. Jiho really showed off his excellent barista skills with our drinks -- the presentation and execution were seriously impressive. He was also incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. The cafe itself was cozy, beautiful, and relaxing -- definitely the kind of place where you can sit back and take your time. We were debating which one to get, Golden Mango or Matcha Mango Bingsu. The cashier said Golden Mango is giving different texture, even though it's all mango flavor; the Matcha Mango is using matcha shaved ice as base, then top with Mango fresh fruit. So we final decision was the Golden Mango Bingsu. Once we ordered, we got a electric alert board. We won't wait long, the alert board was beeping when our order was ready. I went back to the counter to get my Bingsu. This desert is not big that costs $12.55+tax. Sago has no taste. Fresh mango is on the top, mango base is mango flavored shaded ice, which is like ice cream that smooth. Mango sauce as layer is in the middle of the base, which makes stronger taste. Overall, it's pretty tasty and fresh. That's another type of ice cream for me. The store was open until late night, and I was seeing couples coming in. I think it's part of the aesthetic, but they serve the bingsu piled up super high in proportionally small bowls. They fully expect a mess so they provide trays for every bingsu to catch the mess as it melts, floods pass the bowl, syrups drip off the ice and toppings topple off. I wish they would just put it in a properly sized bowls instead of the mess. Also, the wooden trays are chipped and broken which doesn't feel hygienic. Service was super friendly even though it was busy, so extra star for the hardworking staff.
