It is a communal table so we enjoyed making conversation and getting to know the couples at our end of the table. The reservation process asks for food allergies and dietary restrictions so I believe that was factored into the menu. You are so offered per course drink pairings of wine, beer, or N/A drinks so we did one of the wine pairings with dinner. We started with their Farmers Board which included crudite, 4 dips, 3 butters, and a loaf of focaccia. I was already convinced this was going to be a fantastic meal! The second course was a tuna belly crisp in a Thai coconut lime sauce with tiny teardrop peppers. It was absolutely decadent! They offered anyone who was interested a caviar bump paired with a shot of horseradish vodka so we had to say "yes, please!" The next course was probably the most memorable and interesting. It was a corn course since we have so many local growers of corn in the Finger Lakes region. It was simply cut pieces of cooked corn on the cob served along side a "corn flavor wheel" that included 12 different flavor profiles to add to the corn with each bite. The simplest was butter and salt which who could complain about something as delicious as that, right? But there was miso, and gochujang, an elote flavor, hoisin peanut, and tom yum curry to name a few. Next course was duck breast served over a saffron sauce with black olive bits. It was lovely! Dessert was a raspberry clafoutis with plum sorbet that was yummy. We were escorted next door to FLX Provisions for the option of after dinner coffee, tea, wine, etc... There was a lavender gel type candy bite for everyone (I'd describe it as a gummy but then you'd get the wrong idea). We leisurely chatted with the couples we met at dinner and we were even able to purchase a loaf of focaccia to take home. We went a little early and had a delicious cocktail before being seated. You are snuggly seated around the large table. The starter course is lots of fresh raw local produce (much of which would be easier to eat with our hands than a knife and fork but it didn't seem like that kind of place). The next courses were a surprise before we sat down but all were delicious. We did the local wine pairing, and many times brought us two different versions that we each had half of, so it was a great way to explore.

And for the 2nd time (well, 4th technically - we came back multiple times over each weekend), we had a terrific experience. The staff are SUPER nice here. This time 'round we had Ellie as our server, who gave us great suggestions on the specials and main menu items - and also Justin when we sat at the bar on another evening (super talented drink mixologist). They're just really great at making you feel welcome, you're taken care of every step of the way. The food comes out quick, you have just enough time to relax and chat between dishes but we've never felt like we had to wait long - despite how packed the place always gets (popular spot, for sure). But yeah aside from the terrific service, the main reason we keep coming back is the quality of the dishes they consistently put out there. This trip we got to try the "Friendship Fries" as a moderately spicy, super flavorful appetizer, and then we split a whole branzino in a delicious horseradish sauce. And because we heard great things about their burgers, we came back just now for another dinner and split one of those too - predictably great, barely any condiments needed really. Juicy, well-cooked and tasty as heck. They have a super extensive wine selection from FLX, France, Italy and all across the U.S., but we tend to order from their cocktail menu - just tried the "Ship of Theseus" today. Unique flavor and delightful to sip on. We kinda wanna find another spot in Geneva just so we don't get overly attached, and end up spending most dinners here from now on, whenever we're in town. But so far nothing else has really come close.

The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, polite, and attentive throughout the meal, making the experience enjoyable. The food was good, though it wasn't particularly memorable or outstanding. We both love poutine. The fries was good but the gravy was a bit too salty and it definitely need more cheese curds. Overall, it's a great spot for dinner with friends or family, especially if you're in the area and looking for a pleasant dining experience.

The most incredible (and only) speakeasy in the Finger Lakes…read more After hours of driving, we knew we needed a cool spot to go to at night for some delicious wine. Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. Took them a solid 40-45 minutes to bring out our mains afterwe finished the appetizers, but worse was the fact that both dishes (rack of lamb for myself, and short rib gnocchi for her) were simply bland. Best part of my dish were the mashed potatoes honestly - the lamb itself was unseasoned, and the sauce was watery. My wife's gnocchi weren't terrible, but the sauce had an odd, almost burnt aftertaste that neither of us cared for. For a regular restaurant, with more regular prices and reviews, we wouldn't have minded honestly - but because this place is kinda marketed as one of the better restaurants in Geneva, and priced as such, having a bit of a mediocre meal left us fairly disappointed. Again, great service and fun spot just to be in, and _some_ of the items like the appetizers are pretty tasty (I'd happily come back for another taste of their mussels and focaccia). But we likely won't be coming back anytime soon, particularly as we live out of town. Hope it was just a fluke and that they bounce back.

My husband ordered a craft Diet Coke and a brisket platter with baked beans, slaw and cornbread. I had a crispy chicken sandwich with garlic herb Boursin soft cheese spread, several pieces of thick bacon, and romaine with cranberry vinaigrette on soft bun with pickles. The zucchini salad was a really fun blend of flavors - a nice crunchiness from the almonds, a zestyness from the gochujang romanesco sauce, and a savoriness from the Bulgarian feta. The decided favorite though was the deep fried quail, with its perfect outer crust and yummy sauce.
