Dude. This place is a MUST. I love the cozy atmosphere of a small restaurant and the dining experience was just perfect. It was just me on a work trip with my book. I was low key having a rough time after working so late but this incredible meal turned things around: the strawberry salad was so fresh and well-balanced and I simply couldn't NOT order something from their meat case in the front, which offers local cuts. I got the tenderloin medium rare with broccolini and mashed potatoes. They did something TRULY special here. Goat cheeseinthemash. Or something. Like a blue cheese that was a goat cheese? Idk but it was truly genius. I haven't stopped thinking about it. My waitress was also tending the bar and did an amazing job, I felt so well looked after and the bar patrons stayed entertained. I only saw her visiting the various tables so props for handling that many people solo! I kinda can't wait to come back up here for work if it means I get to visit this place when I mentioned I planned to go to sackett's table for dinner, my customer immediately knew I was in for a great time. This is a gem in Seneca Falls. Ordered the Delmonico ribeye wife ordered the pasta primavera. Both were spectacular. The mashed potatoes and even more the tomatoes served with the steak were absolutely amazing. The Panzanella salad was incredible, service staff there was top notch. If you're in this area? This restaurant does not disappoint. We have been here numerous times and each time the food is always excellent. Last weekend we took part of our family. Our son tasted all the meals and he loved them all. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in throughout our meal. The restaurant is small so you definitely need a reservation. We saw many people come in and without a reservation on a Saturday night there were no tables available. You enter the restaurant through a butcher shop where you can pick your steak out and have it prepared. I love that this restaurant is farm to table and the beef is raised within 30 miles of the restaurant and all the veggies are local and in season. Went here for day 1 of my cousin's bachelor party. I figured a butcher shop wouldn't be a bad place for a bunch of dudes. Pretty nice, rustic space although not big, so glad I made a reservation. Service was very good, as was the beer selection and bar in general which surprised me. Meat pricing was a bit high for pick your own steaks versus similar places I've been to; rest of the menu was more in line with what I'd expect. Got a Delmonico steak that I picked out of the butcher's case. I thought it was good but not remarkable. Clearly fresh (from down the road), just could've been more flavorful/marbled and better seared. Mashed potatoes and squash that came with it were delicious. My cousin had similar comments about his steaks. Folks who got burgers were very happy though, as was the lone person who could the seafood pasta (shockingly good with shrimp, scallops and octopus. Edit January 2026: I had heard that after some struggles, this restaurant had a new chef and was very good again. I have now been back twice since my last review, and I can say that they are definitely back to being one of the best restaurants in Seneca County. The quality was good both times .Tasty dishes, nicely cooked. A good selection of small plates, large plates, and specials. The cocktails are still great and the service is still outstanding. Stopped here on our travels, it was phenomenal.. probably the best steak of my life. One of those meals you rave about to everyone you talk to. We arrived without reservations but the hostess was accommodating in finding us a spot. We were able to sit outside. Appetizer was heirloom tomatoes and it was delicious. The bread with the homemade blueberry butter was super tasty. The bread was warm. The crust was crunchy. Meals were ribeye, and it was cooked so well.. delicious... and also short ribs, there was so much meat. And we were full when we left! Dessert was perfect too. Price was high, but worth it... If you were to walk by this place you probably wouldn't pick it out for dinner. Butcher shop front with small restaurant on the side. Menu was a bit limited but the food was excellent. Bread service was an excellent focaccia served with olive oil and herbs with roasted garlic. I can't express how good it was. I had the jerk chicken and my wife had the wedge salad with the appetizer scallops. My chicken was very juicy and well seasoned. Service was good and we never felt rushed. read more

Apologies in advance this one's a read. Early Father's Day dinner at Sackett's. The place is neat. It's a small butcher shop on one side and small(about 20 seats plus seats at the bar) restaurant on the other. This was the first time for dinner. They also have homemade artisanal sausages which I have purchased before and are delicious. They have different flavors each week. What brought us was my Dad's desire to have a tomahawk steak. Sackett's delivered a very large perfectly cooked specimen. I called a couple days earlier for a reservation and they let me reserve the steak as well since they had limited supply. Now that's a great experience! The waitress was great as well, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The steak had a great sear on it and was seasoned well. We split it as neither of us were in the mood to train for a mukbang. The horseradish cream sauce was different than most I have tried but delicious. Sides played their role, but were good. Btw you can pick a steak from the butcher case and they'll cook it up for you, how cool. Oh and not to be forgotten because not many places do it, they have what they call a Real Caesar Salad because they use anchovies in the dressing. Bonus for Caesar lovers you can add white anchovies to the top for an extra charge. That's something you don't get most places. Overall great dinner. Not sure what's happened here. I've worked in restaurants my whole life and we'll go for dinner a couple of times a year but always opt for celebrating our anniversary at Sacketts. Today we ended up closing our check and leaving before even given the chance to order. We were the first reservation at 5. We were sat, asked if we'd been before, told them it was our anniversary and got no "welcome!", "happy anniversary!", "glad you came here!". Nothing friendly at all like usual. We ordered drinks and my cocktail came in a tall glass filled with crushed ice and no garnish or straw (version of an old fashioned). Partners soda was an unceremonious bottle of "fiz" (a cheap brand you buy in checkout line at CountryMax). 20 minutes later 2 other tables had come in after us and had already received apps and had ordered steaks from the butcher case (we stood in front of the case before them for 5 minutes without getting talked to). From the unfriendly attitude to the paper napkins, lack of bread brought to table (which was always a highlight) to the dirty cardboard box on view sitting on the bar, we had enough and went somewhere else. In Seneca Falls for a concert, had dinner at Sackett's Table. It's a butcher shop and restaurant. It was exceptional! Starting with the homemade bread , that was soft with a delicious crust. Our waiter (Adam?) was knowledgeable, attentive, and extremely friendly. We all ordered steaks, and we'rushered to the butcher shop and told to pick out the steak that we wanted and how we wanted it cooked. The chef, Brett, came out and personally spoke to us. He was so excited and proud about the food that he was creating. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband who has traveled around the world and enjoyed many amazing meals said that this was one of the best steaks that he has ever had. Definitely a Martini's friendly kind of restaurant, not a Nick's hard drinking bar. Nobody had yet tried the old George Bailey routine, "Hey Nick, you remember me, I was at your wedding!" But fans of the old Xmas classic do like the place, including the actress for Zuzu herself. I very much enjoyed my Delmonico's steak, perfectly cooked, with a local red ale on tap. Service was friendly and attentive, and the butcher explained the local origins of my meal. Had a really lovely dinner here after a long day on the road. It's a small but comfortable little delight tucked into Seneca Falls. I had a butcher shop ribeye, cooked perfectly and the Dijon maple horseradish sauce was absolutely amazing. My husband had shrimp and chicken scampi paperelli. The noodles were homemade and he was super happy with it. They had a lot of daily specials for such a small place. Our service was a little leisurely but impeccable and we were not in a hurry. A delicious and unique dining experience! My husband and I got a few things to share, and everything was excellent. Normally you need a reservation, but they allowed us a spot at the bar to eat, which was nice. It's a small location with limited seating, but well worth it, especially if you call ahead. We got two small plates and one large plate -- fried green tomatoes, French gnocchi and the Seafood Fra Diavolo -- and each dish was complex and delicious. Sharing was the way to go, because it was fun to get to experience a variety of dishes! So glad we stumbled upon this place while visiting the area. Worth the stop! read more

In preparation for our weekend in the Finger Lakes, my partner and I made dinner reservations here (which are recommended). Sackett's Table is a restaurant and market, as you may have guessed by the name. But the really exciting thing is that the market includes an on-site butcher along with other fresh, local goods! The atmosphere is casual yet intimate and the service, classy. After our server welcomed us, he proceeded to introduce himself and then the food, by telling us from which local farms the food was sourced. We LOVE farm-to-table and I really enjoyed this introduction to their menu. While nearly everything on their menu sounded like something I'd enjoy, we were there for the Featured Butcher Case Selection (partner's choice) and the Seasonal Fish - Catch of the Day (my choice). For my partner's meal, he had his pick of cuts from the butcher's case which you encounter on your way in. He chose the Tomahawk and ordered it medium-rare and their chef nailed that temp. I did help out by sampling a bit of the steak and it was really fantastic, flavorful and tender. The catch of the day was Halibut, which I actually had never tried before. It is a flaky but firm white fish. Sackett's Table severed this perfectly done filet atop a bed of barley risotto cooked in a red wine reduction and balsamic glazed, seasonal veggies. I thoroughly enjoyed the fish but the barley risotto really exceeded my expectations! I'll be trying to recreate this at home for sure. Aside from our main dishes, we also ordered the Mussels Normandy and the Snap Pea Salad for starters which were served with complementary warm, house-baked bread! We almost didn't order the salad and were very pleased with our decision to add that on. For dessert, we shared a Buttermilk Tart served with a seasonal fruit compote and almonds. Everything about this dining experience was top notch and just everything we wanted this experience to be. We would definitely dine here again, if in the area, and recommend you do to! read more

One of the best meals I've ever had. I don't even like butter and yet the homemade lemon garlic thyme butter with their delicious bread was unbelievable. The massive juicy tenderloin, crispy sauteed kale and heavenly pureed potatoes were unforgettable. Craft cocktails are equally delicious. Staff were very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Initially I was just passing through, but this incredible meal and beautiful scenery have me staying an extra day to check out the wineries around the lakes. Wow. 10/10!!! First thing's first- Sackett's is intimate and small so make sure if you really want to go, that you make a reservation to guarantee your spot! I really don't even know where to start- they have a butcher shop right in the front with some great cases of local and non-local small, artisanal brands- like Ithaca Milk, Ithaca Hummus, Harney & Sons tea,and Fiz soda to name a few. They have a great fridge full of local beer, too! You walk through the butcher shop to get to their dining room which is nice and cozy. A big window over looks the street outside and let's in some nice natural light, there's plants for decor. The dining room is long with about 6 or 8 tables and a bar that seats 8, so it won't ever be too packed but it is definitely a small space. As for dining, the water is on the table for you, their homemade bread and butter was honestly to die for- I could have made a meal out of that alone, and there are always several daily specials. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly and FAST- I loved it. They have a nice wine list that features local wines and fun cocktails and a few beers on tap- next time I'm going to explore their beer menu a bit! Our server was fast and very attentive. But the best part, hands down, was the amazingggg food!! We had the mushroom appetizer (10/10) He had the Chili cheese stuffed chicken (8.6/10) and I had the steak (13/10) !!! I don't know where to begin because this was the best dinner I had during my 6 day vacation in the Finger Lakes area. First of all, this is a butcher with a cafe next to it. It's completely unassuming. But when you walk in, the place smells amazing with grilling steaks! The place probably seats 25 people max with cafe sized tables and white linen. It's a small menu but everything I had was tasty and delicious! For an appetizer, I ordered the grilled octopus - it was charred just right, tender, not too chewy, it was deliciously paired with a Dr. K Cab Franc. Since it's a butcher, you pick your meat from the deli. My husband and I shared a 2lb Tomahawk for dinner cooked medium. It was quite huge and initially ended up too medium rare so we had to send it back to be cooked some more. When it came back, it was perfect! Pink center and charred outside - the meat just melts in your mouth. It's so flavorful! My friends ordered their filets and they also said it was melt in your mouth delicious! I selected this based on location and rating for a quick lunch after visiting the Women's Rights NHS. Very limited lunch menu, didn't feel like a sandwich so ordered the fish and chips. I think you can tell from the photo, it wasn't good. The fries were overcooked and both the fries and fish just tasted of grease. They need to change their fryer oil. I left $18 of food on the table because it was inedible. A week later, I was in a shop in town and asked for a lunch recommendation, he said Sackett's. I said, no, had a horrible meal there. He said I'm only the 4-5th person he's talked to that didn't like Sackett's. Trying to be fair, maybe their dinners are much better, maybe just don't order the fish & chips, but I certainly wouldn't try again. I recommend Cafe 19 for a great lunch, BTW. read more

Nice small place. I hated the way we where greeted. We ducked back and forth from the dimning ares bar to butcher area. Finally we where asked if we needed help. No tables available. Not you can have a seat at the bar and wait! Just no tables and we can serve you at the bar. I over heard him talking to others as they come in. Nope they need a better person to decline business. They are only open a short time maybe hours. We excepted the bar setting. He said we would have to wait to be served because they are waiting on the tables that came on. I wanted to reply "AhDa" smiled and took a seat on these stools that are meant for people 6 plus feet tall! What a crappy design. We had to climb up to get on them.. Lady comes over and she looked supper short do to the bar design, she puts there paper menu down. Brings a large bottle of water and glasses. We declined. Comes back sometime later and asked for your order. We ordered then realize we need a drink. Oh well I know you did not want water. Did younwamt something else? The catch is you pay x number for the vegetable and potato then market price forvthe meat so who knows what you are paying until you get the bill! Not a fan but his plate became our plate!!
