Small restaurant; must make reservations! Fantastic choice for beef eaters. You get to pick your own butcher cut from the meat showcase, and the meat looked excellent. Superb server, Madison. Despite being a butcher store, they did a marvelous job with my salmon entree. The chef was very accommodating and gave me excellent vegetarian side dishes to accompany my salmon. The salmon was perfectly prepared, moist and tasty. I enjoyed the English peas, sauteed zucchini and roast potatoes. Everything was very well seasoned. Other members of our party seemed to enjoy the gnocchi appetizer, the cucumber salad, the delmonico steak and the rib cap steak. For dessert, I heard rave reviews of the lava cake and orange creme brulee. My peach upside down cake was good but not "wow;" I loved the walnuts on top of the cake. I wished they hadn't served this dessert cold; it would have been better served room temperature. And it could have used some more flavor; cardamom perhaps? My party felt it was the best meal they've had in the Finger Lakes all week. read more

I selected this based on location and rating for a quick lunch after visiting the Women's Rights NHS. Very limited lunch menu, didn't feel like a sandwich so ordered the fish and chips. I think you can tell from the photo, it wasn't good. The fries were overcooked and both the fries and fish just tasted of grease. They need to change their fryer oil. I left $18 of food on the table because it was inedible. A week later, I was in a shop in town and asked for a lunch recommendation, he said Sackett's. I said, no, had a horrible meal there. He said I'm only the 4-5th person he's talked to that didn't like Sackett's. Trying to be fair, maybe their dinners are much better, maybe just don't order the fish & chips, but I certainly wouldn't try again. I recommend Cafe 19 for a great lunch, BTW. read more

We came here while on vacation in the Finger Lakes to celebrate our anniversary. The space is tiny and intimate, with very friendly staff. My husband ordered the beef ravioli and I ordered a sirloin medium rare that I selected from the case of meats. We also ordered an heirloom tomato salad for an appetizer, which had a garlic custard that was very unique. We also each had a glass of Ravines Cab Franc. My steak came with summer squash and potato salad. My husband loved his ravioli. I actually didn't like my dinner, but I think that was more personal preference (I'm picky and the menu was limited) than anything the chef did. I also felt a little rushed - our waitress kept trying to take my plate - but that was probably because we had an 8:30p reservation and they were ready to go home which is understandable. Took my parents here for dinner. Small cozy dining room. Very pleasant staff, felt they were attentive but not hovering uncomfortably. All the food was excellent. I visited Sackett's table and Seneca Falls on a whim and it ended up being one of the best nights of my life. I ordered the choose your own cuts of meat (completely local!) which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also absolutely amazing and the service was incredible. Hilarious bartenders/servers elevated my experience as a solo diner. I live in Syracuse and would absolutely drive an hour back to Seneca falls to enjoy a meal here. In town for one day and made a reservation at Sackett's. Samantha was our server and did a great job. We ordered a filet, the fried chicken and a burger. All were terrific but I think I won with my filet. FABULOUS! I had a great local merlot from Chateau Lafayette Reneau and my husband had a great local beer. This is a small place, casual, but a great choice. Only downside for some might be the noise -- as the evening went on it got rather loud. We were fine with it but if you are hard of hearing it might be difficult to talk. But give them a try, we were very happy with our experience! read more

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Sackett's Table. The ambience, selection, and staff were all so welcoming. Every item on the menu looked great and we settled on the strawberry salad to start. Being from Southern California the huge portion size was pleasantly surprising. I followed it with the braised beef ravioli. The sauce was loaded with mushrooms and peas. SO much great flavor that it was hard to pace myself. My son had the burger. The best fries ever! Hosted an important business dinner last evening at this restaurant with people from Mexico. They have a very nice menu of steaks, seafood and all the food is well prepared and really great. This restaurant is in the previous location where antonias was previously. They feature many local products such as local cheeses and meats , and treats such as gourmet chocolates. We've previously greatly enjoyed their fried chicken. Tonight we enjoyed their fish fry takeout - it covered the plate - a delicous breaded covering, extremely tender and perfectly cooked cod - I am overwhelmed with the quality, quantity, and taste. Homemade potato wedges, and a really delicous Cole slaw ( again perfectly done with a bit of dressing - And unlike many restaurants, not drowning in some sweet dressing - Just a touch, they perfectly complement the slaw ) Overall, lt was the best I have ever enjoyed, including anything I've ever had on the coast - simply outstanding. Initial impression walking in may pause you as it looks like a small neighborhood butcher shop, but out back the intimate restaurant was delightful. Splendido! First time at Sackett's Table and certainly won't be the last. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of our food because we were just fascinated with taking everything in. The layout is very interesting with having the restaurant on one side and the market on the other. Isn't that how they do it in Italy? The menu is not large so it's not intimidating. Yes, please! The smaller the menu, the better the quality. Our server, Madison, superbly described the menu choices and balanced her time and attentiveness well. We started with homemade Italian bread with an olive oil dip. Delizioso. Next we had a blooming mushroom. Saporito. Then we had the French Gnocchi served with sausage crumble. Gustoso!
