I love this place. It's an affordable little diner in town with an always friendly atmosphere, good specials, and a reliable menu. I like to try new things and specials and it doesn't break the bank. Staff is always friendly and don't make you wait to go in or out and the food is good (never once had a menu item I didn't like). Definitely go in the mornings for breakfast or lunch because it's good and simple and of course delicious! read more

4 of us went here on a Sunday morning for breakfast. It had a nice old town diner feel. I was happy to see they had biscuits and gravy on the specials. I love a good plate of them and these didn't disappoint. They were very good. Our waitress was very helpful. I'm sorry I don't remember here name. read more

I stopped here with my wife after a visit and stay over in Seneca falls. We arrived about 10AM Sunday for breakfast and there was a short wait time the whole time we were there. It is worth the wait. Food was definitely cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and hopping because it was busy. We met Penny and she was also friendly and managing the team. read more

We stopped here while waiting for car paperwork to be done at a local dealership. I like that this place has an older diner feel to it. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. What more could you ask for. read more

I guess if your not a regular you don't get seated like everyone else. My 8 yo and I went to get breakfast and the women working wouldn't allow us to sit at a table because there was only 2 of us when there were 3 empty tables but insisted we sit with two strangers already seated at another table. And allowed the couple behind us to sit at a table "because they were expecting more people" read more

This is in the strip plaza, right in the middle of the row. On a holiday parking is easy, not sure about regular weekdays. Breakfast menu has what you're expect. Pancakes. Eggs. Various combos of same. Pricing ok. read more

Exactly what a diner breakfast should be! Quick, friendly service and yummy food without any fuss. Be sure to ask for onions and papers in your home fries...delish! read more

We went to Penney's because we wanted the breakfast and most places were not opened on a Monday. We ordered the big breakfast (can't remember the official name) which came with eggs, pancakes, sausage and bacon. We were told more bacon could not be substituted for the sausage. The scrambled eggs were plentiful and the sunny side up were done well. Unfortunately, the bacon was limp and chewy. The pancakes were very doughy and inedible for the most part. The prices were good but I don't think I'd go back. At least not for breakfast. read more

Penny's Place - a breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon - Diners Near Me - Seneca Falls, New York

No longer open past 2:00 PM. Lights off and no entrance after 1:20 PM. Luckily Doug's Fish Fry trailer was a block away and saved us.

Great Breakfast: Spent the weekend in Senca Falls and had breakfast here both mornings. The food was excellent, served pretty fast and was hot and tasty. The prices are fantastic and the service was excellent. I had eggs (very fresh), bacon (very yummy), rye toast (nicely done), coffee (just right) and a corn muffin (loaded with butter and toasted just right). Wish we lived closer, as I would be a regular here!!! read more

Everything you would expect in a diner, delicious food and fun atmosphere. The waitstaff is super friendly and the owner was walking around chatting with everyone. My 3 friends and I ordered breakfast, very prompt service. My one friend was on keto and they were very understanding and willing to work any special requests she had. Would go again. read more

Great service, great food and quick to eat. Hostess remembered us every time we visited. Breakfast sandwiches are perfect

Penny was great! Loved how she's "retired" but going into her diner every early morning to be with her family and customers. The food was great. I recommend this little local diner. As a tourist to the area I made sure I went to a local diner spot and I wasn't disappointed. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped in for a quick breakfast. Cute diner with great service. Food was hot and coffee kept coming. . read more

Great local place, solid breakfast, great service. Food came out fast and our waitress was very friendly.

I really like Penny's Place for what it is. It's a good, local, very very inexpensive diner. This is THE place to have breakfast if you are in the area. They serve patty sausage and Italian toast, 2 of my favorite breakfast items and the coffee is included in the price. Cheap. Word. read more

I saw that someone complained about the pancakes. These were the best pancakes ever! I had pumpkin and my husband had the regular along with bacon, sausage and eggs. Everything was delicious, the coffee was plentiful and the service was excellent despite the fact that it was super busy. Prices were also very reasonable. $4.50 for 2 huge pancakes. Can't say enough good things about this place. read more

This is a cute little diner that has a pretty standard diner menu, which is great. We went for breakfast and the food was just mediocre. My husband enjoyed his eggs, while my daughter's were runny. My pancakes had a cornmeal quality to them ... not terrible, but not the light, fluffy buttermilk ones I was expecting. Overall, it's a okay place. Nothing more, nothing less. read more

There are so many things that are right about this place! There was 7 of us in our party and even though there was a full dining room, we were seated immediately. We went out looking for a typical diner with good homemade greasy diner food and that is exactly what we found. Food came out pretty quick even though it was busy and boy oh boy they aren't messing around with portion sizes. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs and it looked more like 4 on the plate to me! And let me tell you, they did NOT skimp out on the bacon! There must have been five delicious greasy pieces of bacon per serving. Our friend ordered blueberry pancakes and they were phenomenal! And when we were done eating, the bill was only $63 for all 7 of us! Food was excellent, services was excellent, portion sizes are big, and they were quick. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Have gone for breakfast a lot lately, food is always fantastic! Great prices too!

Great cheap breakfast! Nice little greasy spoon. Fast friendly service. The omelets are great.

When I walked into this place 2 weeks ago it was packed I was crammed with other people waiting for a table ended up leaving a few minutes later I would not recommend this place especially if you care about being healthy and safety. In other words you can tell they weren't following 50/50 guideline rules that were in place due to COVID-19 read more

Friendly, fast and affordable. Great home cooking. What more does one need when dining out. As far as I am concerned this is what fine dining really should be, but at a great price read more

Great food. Go for breakfast on the weekend and you will wait, but it is worth it! I worked there for a little bit, cleanest kitchen I have ever worked in! read more

It's great Hun! We actually go to this diner quite often, the little waitress with the crazy hair calls everyone hun, it's annoying. This place is absolutely average, no surprises here. The customer service isn't always the best, or the fastest, but it's ok. We will continue to visit here, it's just around the corner. read more

Great stop for a quick bite! Came in to get out of the rain at our nearby campground-breakfast was fantastic! Great food, great prices. Lunch and dinner menus looked delightful, as well! read more

Perfect small town diner. It's exactly what you want when you think "diner breakfast" - absolutely amazing home fries covered in yummy caramelized onions, gooey western omelet, gigantic side of bacon, okay coffee. Hit the spot as a hangover cure. Super fast friendly service. 4 huge breakfasts for 4 people was only $41! read more

Very slow service. Took over 40 minutes to get the food. Once it came out half of my table liked the food the other half thought it was ok. Considering there's not much else in the area if you don't mind a slow start to the morning I would recommend here. read more

Don't bother. Connie diner is down the road and things there are better. Hope your not looking to work there. I had a friend working there and they treated the employes so bad he walked out. That's complete out of the ordinary for him. The owners sons call names and make fun of the staff. They be little and are just rude. I would rather eat At McDonalds than this place . The only thing they have going is the price. It's cheap but bad service read more

This was the only place in town open for breakfast on Sunday so we gave it a try. Friendly service, good prices, good food. What more could you ask for in a diner? read more

For the price they can't be beat. I was a little put off by no credit cards, but my check for breakfast and coffee was pocket change. Ordered eggs over well, the yolks were still runny. Bacon was thin and obviously cooked in a hurry, but two eggs, two slices toast four slices bacon, home fries and coffee was under 7 bux, including tax. read more

Well today the H-n-H duo went to Penny's with no big expectations after reading the 3 star and yes the one star to that I am disavowing. We were pleasantly surprised with entire experience. We sat at the counter right next to the cash register, not the most popular place to sit bit listened to the feed back from customers, which helps a lot in the over all feel for what's happening. Dottie our waitress of the day was absolutely a joy with smiles and coffee a plenty, her 17 years of working there shone through with all her kind words and suggestions. I had my usual 3 OE on hash cooked to perfection, and my cohorts was the same. So to me all these 3 and the one star (which I don't even acknowledge) are far below my rating of five stars and they broke into the top five of my favorites at number 3 and a return trip with the same service they could move into # 1. To make a return trip for me just makes cents..... Bon Appetit........ read more

Not necessarily bad, in a pinch, but very bland. Meat and potatoes, same old, same old diner food. Not surprising that the local yokels rave about this place. read more
