I love this place. It's an affordable little diner in town with an always friendly atmosphere, good specials, and a reliable menu. I like to try new things and specials and it doesn't break the bank. Staff is always friendly and don't make you wait to go in or out and the food is good (never once had a menu item I didn't like). I stopped here with my wife after a visit and stay over in Seneca falls. We arrived about 10AM Sunday for breakfast and there was a short wait time the whole time we were there. It is worth the wait. My 8 yo and I went to get breakfast and the women working wouldn't allow us to sit at a table because there was only 2 of us when there were 3 empty tables but insisted we sit with two strangers already seated at another table. We went to Penney's because we wanted the breakfast and most places were not opened on a Monday. We ordered the big breakfast (can't remember the official name) which came with eggs, pancakes, sausage and bacon. We were told more bacon could not be substituted for the sausage. The scrambled eggs were plentiful and the sunny side up were done well. Unfortunately, the bacon was limp and chewy. The pancakes were very doughy and inedible for the most part. The prices were good but I don't think I'd go back. At least not for breakfast. read more

Great Breakfast: Spent the weekend in Senca Falls and had breakfast here both mornings. The food was excellent, served pretty fast and was hot and tasty. The prices are fantastic and the service was excellent. I had eggs (very fresh), bacon (very yummy), rye toast (nicely done), coffee (just right) and a corn muffin (loaded with butter and toasted just right). I saw that someone complained about the pancakes. These were the best pancakes ever! I had pumpkin and my husband had the regular along with bacon, sausage and eggs. Everything was delicious, the coffee was plentiful and the service was excellent despite the fact that it was super busy. Prices were also very reasonable. $4.50 for 2 huge pancakes. This is a cute little diner that has a pretty standard diner menu, which is great. We went for breakfast and the food was just mediocre. My husband enjoyed his eggs, while my daughter's were runny. There are so many things that are right about this place! There was 7 of us in our party and even though there was a full dining room, we were seated immediately. We went out looking for a typical diner with good homemade greasy diner food and that is exactly what we found. Food came out pretty quick even though it was busy and boy oh boy they aren't messing around with portion sizes. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs and it looked more like 4 on the plate to me! And let me tell you, they did NOT skimp out on the bacon! There must have been five delicious greasy pieces of bacon per serving. Our friend ordered blueberry pancakes and they were phenomenal! And when we were done eating, the bill was only $63 for all 7 of us! Food was excellent, services was excellent, portion sizes are big, and they were quick. Don't bother. Connie diner is down the road and things there are better. Hope your not looking to work there. I had a friend working there and they treated the employes so bad he walked out. Well today the H-n-H duo went to Penny's with no big expectations after reading the 3 star and yes the one star to that I am disavowing. We were pleasantly surprised with entire experience. We sat at the counter right next to the cash register, not the most popular place to sit bit listened to the feed back from customers, which helps a lot in the over all feel for what's happening. Dottie our waitress of the day was absolutely a joy with smiles and coffee a plenty, her 17 years of working there shone through with all her kind words and suggestions. I had my usual 3 OE on hash cooked to perfection, and my cohorts was the same. So to me all these 3 and the one star (which I don't even acknowledge) are far below my rating of five stars and they broke into the top five of my favorites at number 3 and a return trip with the same service they could move into # 1.
