Not only are the donuts amazing and really reasonably priced, the staff is incredibly sweet and quick! We got a dozen donut holes, a raised maple and raised chocolate, a chocolate bar and maple bar, an Apple fritter, and a ham, jalapeño, and cheese croissant. Our order was packed quickly and efficiently, and they still had a good selection for being 9:30 on a Saturday! We polished off the donut holes before we even got home- they're light, fluffy, bite sized pieces of heaven. As you can see from the photos, everything else is picture perfect. Not only are they pretty, they're just as light and fluffy as the donut holes! The Apple fritter impressed me too- really good flavor. We air fried the croissant for a bit when we got home and it was *chef's kiss*. Perfect filling-to-croissant ratio, and the cream cheese paired nicely with the jalapeño. It was my birthday yesterday and I wanted a donut. I decided I would skip cake for the day and go for a donut. And wow, the quality of the donut is amazing. These donuts are truly an experience. Lol I will have a hard time eating donuts from anywhere else now. This is probably my third favorite pastry in the world. First is a plain croissant from France, second is a warm and flaky Marionberry pie I've created in my mind. This place is so cute. I think it's a mother/daughter team who run it? I always see the same two ladies in there, and I thought I read from someone else that it is a mom and daughter. The younger woman usually helps me out when I go in. She's really nice, and was patient with me when I was ordering donuts and Facetimed someone so they could see the options we were going to get. As for the taste- smackin'! I'm not a huge fan of sweets, but as the occasional treat, I love these donuts. Fluffy, good amount of sweetness, and you can tell they were made fresh. Their coffee is actually not bad, either. I hope these guys can get a remodel for their shop, soon. Service is always quick and the sweet lady in front sometimes stuffs the extra space in your donut box with extra donut holes! From my experience the selection of donuts is pretty diverse throughout the day so there's something for errbody here. =] I especially love that if you are here in the earlier hours of the morning, you can catch the sunrise in your parked car from across the open fields looking towards Woodland. The doughnuts are displayed in the typical glass case, with rows and rows of bright colors in contrast to the demure (yet sometimes underrated) simple donuts. There were cake, raised, twists, donut holes, and giant donuts. The giant ones looked like they could serve as a cake for a toddler's birthday party. I hope to try one sometime! It was $2.35 for a fancy donut and a regular one. The MAPLE BAR had your standard maple topping and a nice, doughy interior that wasn't too sweet. The fancy donut was a raised circle donut topped with pink frosting and FRUITY PEBBLES. It was excellent! The frosting didn't have a strong berry flavor at all, which I appreciated. It was more like colored vanilla frosting. The cereal on top added a great crunch and fruity sweetness to the donut! Next time it was $2.75 for a TRIX DONUT and a MAPLE BACON. The Trix were a little stale on the donut, but the dough was again delicious and fresh. The maple bacon donut had ample amounts of bacon sprinkled on top. Both donuts came in a bag. Cute older Asian couple behind the counter. They are sometimes friendly and helpful, and at other times they don't smile. They were out of cream-filled circle donuts by the time I got there at 8:00 am on a Tuesday! Looks like they've got a decent clientele. Count me in! read more

Visited this place this morning at 11 am because it has good reviews. I was amazed at how little they had to offer. There were only 8 or 9 donut holes, one cream horn, and a tray of something I didn't recognize. Obviously this place is wildly popular, and that's great for them. But it seems unprofessional to not be prepared to replace product as you run out, or at least make enough product for the entire day. The woman who helped me said that the influx of students settling in for the fall quarter wiped them out. That may be so, but they shouldn't be completely out of product with no backup at 11 in the morning. I will say this: those few donut holes were some of the best damn donut holes I'd ever eaten. Melted in my mouth. Clearly they have the talent for production, now they just need to produce enough to get through the day's hungry customers. Disappointing, and lukewarm first impression. Davis certainly doesn't have a lot of donut shops to begin with, so this place was one of very few options. Hopefully, if I give them another chance, they'll wow me with their selection and taste. Got here at 5:15 am and was welcomed to the smell of fresh baked doughnuts coming out of the door. The experience was pleasant and overall I would say that most of the doughnuts were good, my favorites being the apple crumble and the cake doughnuts with sprinkles-- but I will say that I was a little disappointed with the texture of the dough on some of the doughnuts.
