She could have at least let me finish the question and politely answered, "sorry we don't." I started the question by asking "do you take gold bullion coins, American Gold," then interrupted. I was going to say American Gold Buffalo, a 1 oz uncirculated gold coin that is .9999 fine gold. Because she was rude and probably thought it was a numismatic coin where the value is all over the place, and insanely inflated by a small niche of people who are sellers and collectors, she rudely interrupted me by saying, "no we don't." However, it is pure gold and the spot price of 1 oz gold is around $4,700.

In April, I inherited my grandpa's 1960s Omega Constellation. It has the beautiful pie-pan dial and…read moreBeads of Rice bracelet, and, with the exception of the end links, it's completely original. I spent quite a bit of time researching who I trusted with it and was very lucky to discover that Nesbit's is right here in Seattle. I brought it to them in June. They originally estimated about 12 weeks, and it ultimately took closer to 20 -- but honestly, it was completely worth the wait. I picked it up at the end of September, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The bracelet looks so incredibly clean that, at first, I thought they had replaced it. The new crystal is beautiful, and the case looks fantastic after polishing. They didn't erase every deeper ding, mark, or bit of patina, which I'm actually glad about. Those little imperfections are part of its history and a reminder that this was my grandpa's watch. I want it to look beautiful, but I also want it to still look like the watch he wore. It's running and keeping time better than it has in years. My grandpa wore this watch constantly and apparently never left it with a watchmaker long enough to be properly serviced, so by the time I inherited it, the gaskets had deteriorated and it wasn't running or keeping time well anymore. It really needed the work. The restoration was a significant investment at $1,200 plus tax, but I feel very good about it. I estimate the restoration added at least that much back into the value of the watch, particularly because it preserved all of those beautiful original details. I have absolutely no intention of selling it, though. To me, its real value is that it belonged to my grandpa. Huge thanks to Nesbit's for taking such good care of it. It's beautiful, it's running like it should again, and I feel very lucky to live close enough to have had it restored locally.

In summary- Steamworks Espresso is a professional organization. You can confidently make a purchase without concern for the product excellence, ongoing accessibility for servicing & quick and prompt communications. I purchased a refurbished Astoria single shot espresso machine. I could not be happier. I consider refurbished products to be equivalent to receiving a product with 100% quality control, even better than buying new. This was certainly the case with the product I received from Alex. Throughout the purchase Alex answered questions. He personally installed my machine and took the time to share his knowledge to ensure that I pull quality shots of espresso. Whenever I had a question he responded quickly. He has pre-emptively serviced my Astoria, even showing me how to do some ongoing maintenance myself. I support Steamworks Espresso with enthusiasm, and without any reservations. Buy with confidence.
