While…read morewaiting for my awning to be ready, I needed to have an electrician come and install an outdoor outlet in preparation. The day of install, two nice guys were here from 8:30am to 3-ish and the job is complete. The awning is exactly what I wanted aesthetics wise, and is super simple to operate. I got a full cassette with a wind sensor. Now I look forward to using my deck much more. I chose NW Natural Lighting based upon their knowledge, their communication, a nicely detailed estimate, no hard sell or upsell to something unnecessary, and everyone I had contact with at the company was helpful, nice and courteous. The price was very reasonable for a good product.

I reached out to NW Natural Lighting to install our deck railing. We chose glass because it's safer…read morefor kids than horizontal cable, but were warned by our friends with glass railing about bird strikes being an issue. NW Natural Lighting had installed ceramic frit glass rail before (usually on commercial projects) but for us were able to source Guardian Glass Bird 1st UV for the first time. Fair warning, the cost in money and time to source this glass is pretty dissuasive, but having not been an early adopter for any earth-friendly technologies in the past I decided this could be my one thing. NW Natural Lighting did a great job sourcing and installing the glass, and aside from cost and lead time, the product is absolutely incredible - the sample they got for their showroom really doesn't do it justice. Except when it fogs up at night and the moisture evaporates at different rates in the morning, none of us humans can see it at all. So far not a single bird strike, and we get to enjoy a stunning view. Very well done.

If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. He said he does jobs all around Washington and told me he had just returned from a commercial job in Oregon. Sorry if this sound like a commercial but when I find a company that does an outstanding job all the way around, I have to tell someone. And today, you're that someone.
