Construction Kings really puts the CON in construction…read more We signed a contract May 21st, 2025 for a project beginning August 2025 that we were told would take 10 days to finish in two parts - new windows would be installed in August, and our backyard deck would be completed in October. My daughter was six months old when we signed the contract. She is now a walking, talking toddler. Time flies when you are waiting on Construction Kings. Over the course of the last 11 months, we have experienced the full range of emotions. We were elated by the wonderful communication and personal touch that we received in May, June, and July 2025. Right up until the moment work was set to begin. August 4th, someone from Construction Kings came out to re-take window measurements. September 3rd we were told those windows were finally ordered. After weeks of no contact/updates, we tried to pursue steps to be refunding in October. Owner Zak Nash reached out via phone October 14th. He was apologetic, full of reasons why work hadn't started, and he promised up one side and down the other work would begin no later than November 5th and be completed within 10 days. Two days of work transpired, the crew then ghosted for a week only to show up in order to pick up tools to take to another work site. Promises were made again and again and again. More apologies. Still no work. Old foremen, new foremen, came and went. We were told explicitly that no windows had ever been ordered but the WOULD be ordered, not to worry. Then the phones stopped working, and the company started hemorrhaging staff. It turns out that while customers were paying for work that was not being done, staff was doing work but not being paid. I attempted to find amicable resolution with the owner through various avenues, but he was unwilling to discuss the matter through writing or over the phone on a recorded line. After the stories of obfuscation and intentional lying that were passed onto me by not one, not two, not three, but FOUR separate former employees, I was unwilling to put myself into a situation where his word was all that I had to go by. I am a new mom who still has no functional windows to combat the increasing heat of Seattle summers, and no deck or backyard area to try and cool down. My yard is still littered with discarded wood, shards of metal, trash, and general refuse left behind by the Construction Kings crew. I have foolishly given all the money I had saved for my home improvement project to Construction Kings and Zak Nash. I have been cheated, lied to, and left holding the bag like so many others. Read the complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. Check with the Washington Attorney General's Office to see just how many folks have filed complaints. Simply google Zak Nash and Construction Kings to see other horror stories from customer and subcontractors left in the lurch. Do not make the mistake that I made. Take your money and run far, far away. TL; DR $34,277.73 cash paid on our $45,703.64 project which has been unfinished and completely abandoned for months Over 50 texts/phone calls/messages unanswered Days since work was last performed: 258 and counting BBB rating: F

Update: Zak finally reached out in December about getting…read moreanother roofer out to bid the project. I asked him what happened to RJ&T, who had already bid (and I thought HAD the job). He told me that they didn't want to do the work until spring and he knew we didn't want to wait that long. I told Zak that was BS! He told me that's what Mike Robinson told him. I said well Mike is a liar, because I know for a fact this was not true!!! My husband and I had been in constant communication with the roofer they had subcontracted. Because unlike Con Kings, he actually answers/returns calls. The roofer was waiting on them to order the material! We went weeks without hearing anything, then we'd get a call about how the metal roofing was ordered and work would start in a few weeks. That deadline came and went. More calls to Zak to order the roofing... finally we had a confirmation on the order and a delivery date! Then came the argument about payment. Con Kings had told the roofer that we were going to pay him directly our final payment of $27,492 after the roof was installed. But in theory, Con Kings still were contracted to do the patio cover. So my argument was, why would I pay the sub before your part was done?! Zak gave me some BS story about how they would be out at the same time building the patio cover and it would all be completed at the same time. But I have seen over the course of 11 months how they do business. They kept doing the bare minimum, just to pacify us. I call it "bread-crumbing". Then we would get ghosted for weeks or months at a time. How could I believe anything Zak said? We had been conditioned to know exactly what to expect out of the Con Kings. Roofing material was delivered on 1/16/26. I called Zak that day, but he didn't answer (shocking, I know!) I left a message telling him we were going to pay the sub directly to get this project underway, finally. On the message I also urged him to pay the roofer the $5k deposit he asked for to purchase materials to repair and prep the roof. In true Zak fashion, I was ghosted for 3 weeks. I finally received a text from Zak on 2/5/26, asking when they can schedule the patio cover install. (This text came after the we called Honey Bucket to remove the port-o-John from our property. I'm assuming Honey Bucket reached out to CK to notify them of the scheduled pick up, and that prompted Zak to reach out). At that point I responded to Zak and told him that RJ&T had not only completed the roof, but also took care of constructing the new patio cover. I said it took a legit construction company 11 working days to complete a project that CON KINGS could not complete (or barely start) in 355 days. (We got 7 working days out of CON KINGS - and it was sloppy and half assed.) This whole experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Zak and his cronies are human scum. They are all complicit in Zak's scheming lies. I'm just waiting patiently for KARMA to do her job. The CON KINGS need to be stopped.

We couldn't be more thrilled with the results!…read more The first contractor we contacted actually referred us to Timberline due to the size and complexity of the job. I had some rough drawings I had made using free 3D drawing software (look at the photos to compare the concept drawings to the final result). I showed them my ideas in December, we discussed materials, components, and pricing throughout January, and signed a contract in late January. They prepared architectural drawings in February and the engineering in March. By April we were in Permitting with the city and broke ground in late May. They knew we were planning a big party for Mid August so they worked feverishly to get it all done in time. Tony was our project manager and was great with communication. Lucas was our construction lead and Matt his assistant, and they both were great to have on the job, and they kept us updated daily with what they were working on and what was coming next. I was also impressed with their choice of contractors for the gas, electric, masonry, and painting, all did high quality work and were very professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and our neighbors. Throughout the project Tony (Project Manager) had great ideas on how we could improve things, and they were always very responsive to our wishes, working very hard to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted. For as much of an ordeal as it can be to have people working at your house for four months, they made it as painless and as stress free as possible. There we no major issues or concerns, and even the minor stuff was typically cleared up in one email or phone call. I can't imagine having a better experience. And the final result is absolutely amazing! We are on the patio every day and throughout the weekends, watching football, cooking, and enjoying hosting friends and family. It's made such a huge impact on our quality of life. I only wish we had done this sooner. The scope of the work was a 16x30 covered patio, plus pavers along the front and side, and a separate paver and fire pit area. The patio has 4 skylights, a ceiling fan, 12 recessed can lights, four 4Kw heaters, a 36-inch gas fireplace, 36-inch Hestan grill and dual side burners, Bose speakers, and a 70-inch Skyvue outdoor TV. The counter tops are granite, and the kitchen, built-in seating, and fireplace are covered in natural stone. The seating is topped with natural blue stone and has built-in storage areas underneath. The flooring is Mbrico porcelain tile and it is amazing! We've already had things like grease and even a bit of paint spill on to it, but everything just wipes up effortlessly with a little shot of Formula 409 and a paper towel. It's expensive, but if you want zero maintenance flooring that will last a lifetime, this is the stuff to get. I can't speak highly enough of Timberline patio covers and their entire team. If you are looking for top quality work, you won't be disappointed.

I called Pierce County Handyman for reinstalling 4 outside corner sections of baseboard and adjusting 2 transition pieces that had been installed improperly previously. They scheduled me for a visit about a week later so an estimate could be provided. Then a day before the scheduled visit, they asked to reschedule it due to a personal reason. I agreed to reschedule. They showed up on the second appointment and provided me with a service quote and a proposed service date. I got back to them 2 days later confirming the service and was informed the previously proposed date was no longer available. They then proposed a new date in the morning which I agreed to it. 1 day before their schedule service date, they call asking to reschedule from morning to afternoon, which I also agreed to. Then on the date of service, they texted me 2 hours before their scheduled start time to attempt to reschedule for a different date. I let them know that I had made plans for the work to be done that day and that if not possible, then to cancel the whole thing. They weren't able to come out and the service was canceled at my request. A total of 3 weeks and a half went by with multiple service days agreed to and subsequently rescheduled on Pierce County Handyman's request. In the end, no work was done...
