I trust the integrity of the people at Olympic jewelry. I was on the fence as to whether I wanted to part with a few pieces that hadn't left my drawer in years and they gave me things to think about in order to determine if I was ready to part with the pieces. Some I kept, some I sold and at a very fair price. I also had a piece repaired (didn't think it was possible and they made it happen). Thank you Olympic Jewelry. read more

Typical Seattle people, rude!!! I called to ask a question and given an answer even before I finished the question. The rudeness is unfathomable!!! She could have at least let me finish the question and politely answered, "sorry we don't." I started the question by asking "do you take gold bullion coins, American Gold," then interrupted. I was going to say American Gold Buffalo, a 1 oz uncirculated gold coin that is .9999 fine gold. Because she was rude and probably thought it was a numismatic coin where the value is all over the place, and insanely inflated by a small niche of people who are sellers and collectors, she rudely interrupted me by saying, "no we don't." However, it is pure gold and the spot price of 1 oz gold is around $4,700. read more

I am deeply disappointed by your response to my review. Your dismissive and rude comments only serve to underscore the lack of professionalism and integrity that we experienced at your establishment. Firstly, to address your claim that I was never a client: this is categorically false. My fiancé and I made every decision together regarding the creation of our engagement ring, and your attempt to invalidate my involvement is both inaccurate and insulting. The funds used to pay for the ring were a joint effort, so dismissing my role in this process is not only disrespectful but also entirely baseless. You charged us an exorbitant $4,000 for the ring, a price that several reputable jewelers in the Greater Seattle area have confirmed is excessively high for the value of the materials used. The jewels from our family heirlooms were grossly overvalued by your appraisal, a tactic we now understand was used to justify your inflated prices. This is not just our opinion but is supported by professional evaluations from multiple jewelers who have reviewed your work and found it severely lacking. Moreover, your response failed to address the core issues raised in my review. Instead of offering a sincere apology or attempting to rectify the situation, you chose to mock and shame me for a personal matter that has no bearing on your business practices. Such behavior is unbecoming of any professional, let alone one in a customer-facing industry. It has come to our attention through our new, trustworthy jeweler that Olympic Jewelers has a reputation in the area for scamming customers and allegedly manipulating Yelp reviews. This only further validates our experience and reinforces our decision to warn potential customers about your unscrupulous practices. I hope this serves as a reminder that customer service should be approached with sensitivity and respect, not disdain and condescension. Future clients deserve better than the treatment we received. P.S. I've had several people reach out to me with similar experiences. Screengrabs of that attached as well. read more

my fiance proposed to me with his grandmothers ring from the 40s. She had worn it for a life time. I love it. However, it was too big and the diamonds needed reinforcing. We brought the ring to Olympic Jewelry, recommended by my fiance's parents, and I'm so happy with the results. The ring fits perfectly and they did a great job reinforcing the diamonds. It looks brand new. The engagement ring has an accompanying wedding band, which we decided to hold off on resizing and reinforcing for now. We will be returning closer to our wedding date to have those services done on the wedding band. Thanks! read more

I wanted a ring that was unique and not your typical engagement ring - and I got it. Jizel was my sales associate and she was a pleasure to work with. She gave me honest opinions on what did or didn't work and really guided me through the entire process. I felt well supported and like I understood every part of the creation of this ring. I would highly recommend anyone to get their jewelry here. read more

I had some earrings repaired here because one of the stones needed to be reset. The wait was extremely long and I found the price to be quite high, but I decided to have them repaired here anyway since the Olympic Jewelry came highly recommended. When I finally came to pick my earrings up I found that in the process of setting the stone another stone had become loose in the earring. Somehow they missed this in their quality control? Anyway I had to wait even longer to get my earrings, so I won't be making the trek out and paying a premium for careless work again. read more

Wandered into the store while my fam was record shopping. I was immediately welcomed in by Kyla. What a stunning place! The cases are filled with beautiful jewelry for every taste and every price range. What I love (one of the many), is that they source their gems from antique and estate pieces and then place them in repurposed settings. Oh my, so many items to gaze at and try on and add to a wish list. I know my stones, and they have just A++++ merchandise. Stop in, chat with these amazing and knowledgeable people. Try on a pair of earrings. You'r day will be brighter and and you may leave with something that adds to the brilliance. read more

I took my 100 year old ring, with incredible sentimental value to me, to Olympic jewelry for a repair. The stone was incredibly loose, and it needed new prongs. My ring was completed faster than expected and it looks better than I ever could have imagined. Krystal was great to work with. Thanks!! read more

Krystal helped my fiancé and I pick out the perfect wedding bands for our wedding in September. She listened to our ideas and presented us with options that were wonderful matched to our respective tastes and styles. I love that we picked bands that we both love, even if they don't match. I got a beautiful new band and matching engagement ring setting and my fiancé picked out a lovely engraved estate ring (which they did an amazing job at resizing!). Would recommend Olympic Jewelry to anyone shopping for wedding or engagement rings! read more

Mike helped me create duplicates of my father's rings. They came out looking identical (I have to keep them separate to not get them confused). Very easy process and pricing was better than other jewelers that quoted. Could not have been happier with the result. Highly recommend. read more

I loved my experience with Olympic Jewelry. I bought two rings from them--(my first time investing in a piece of fine jewelry before) and I plan to continue to have them be my go-to jeweler. As a family-run business with several generations in the industry, they're extremely knowledgable, trustworthy, and passionate about their craft. I've already recommended them to two friends. (One of them lives in San Francisco and loved Olympic so much she shipped a family ring to them to repair it). I highly recommend them! read more

Emailed a picture for an appraisal on ring and they responded with "we will pass" I had to ask and email again for more information felt rude and oddly short and condescending for no reason expected better service from a company with such high reviews. It seems like a personal and sensitive thing to sell meaningful jewelry. I will not take my jewelry here in the future. read more

The man who appears to be running the show here (I gather his name is Michael) was incredibly dismissive when I brought my engagement ring here to be sold. I recently had the ring appraised at over $1500 at the North American Gemological Laboratory. I was advised not to accept less than 15% below that value. I even brought the paperwork with me to Olympic. Michael told me that because the ring had been re-sized, and due to the "unpopular" style of the setting of the diamond, that he would give me "a few hundred". He then backtracked and brought his offer down to $150. The ring is antique 14k white gold with diamonds and is in good condition (according to my appraisal) other than needing a repair to the band where the soldering was weak from the re-size. This place does repairs though, so my man Michael thought he was going to make a few extra bucks off of someone he presumed was desperate to sell. I'm sure I'll get a snarky response about how my ring is garbage and I know nothing of the jewelry business (his responses to these one star reviews read like a child reacting poorly to constructive criticism) but I left this shop feeling pretty disrespected, which is funny because the vibe in this business is that of a pawn shop masquerading as an upscale establishment. Also Michael, you don't have to be a paying customer to leave reviews on yelp, not sure if you knew that so hopefully this helps :) read more

Smooth business, great people. Michael is very easy to do business with. i will be doin more business with them in the future.

I brought in a family heirloom (ring) to be resized. They were very direct and honest in their pricing, no sales pitch, no hidden extras. Just after it was due from resizing they did call to inform me that the prongs holding the diamond were loose and it would be an additional amount to take care of that. I had noticed a week prior to bringing it in that they looked worn so I wasn't surprised and gladly told them to go ahead I cannot tell you what a difference the work they did made and with.a cleaning, it looks like a brand new ring It's a wonderful piece of old family history that is new to me. read more

Jizel was personal and professional. I brought several inherited pieces to sell. Even though most of the stones had little value (no diamonds or precious gems) she gave us a fair price for the gold and resale value of several pieces. Before leaving, my husband purchased a new wedding band to replace the one he lost which packing for a move a couple of years ago. All in all, a very pleasant experience. read more

This is a long-standing family jewelry business that just recently moved into a Fremont storefront from downtown where they were hidden away. I bought my wife's engagement ring from them, then our wedding bands, then an anniversary band! (Along with lots of maintenance and adjustments for other jewelry including some vintage pieces.) You will be hard pressed to find more knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful owners who aren't out to take you for a ride like the big chains always seem to do. It's also worth noting that while they have some nice stock in the store, all of my purchases were custom orders. So don't be shy, if you aren't seeing exactly what you want (or don't know what you want) tell them! I started off with a much different idea for the style engagement ring I was going to buy, and they steered me in a (drastically) better direction that both my wife and I will appreciate for a long time to come. read more

My new Jeweler of choice not convenience. I first met Michael the store owner years ago at a (WJA) Women's Jewelry Association event. There are not a lot of men members in the Seattle area and I always appreciated that support he gave to women in the industry and that thought has stayed with me. A few years after that initial meeting I met Kyla and worked with her side by side as co-workers at another jewelry company before she joined her family business. At a point in my life raising kids I no longer work in the industry and am enjoying jewelry on the other side of the counter for my own enjoyment. I have completed a couple of transactions with Kyla. The first was really just to check out the store and sell some of my broken gold pieces or items I had acquired or were given that didn't fit my taste any more. So I sold items to them and felt that it was fair and reasonable. Since I no longer have a benefit of an employee discount that had from my previous employer I was very interested in a second hand purchase. Diamonds are already a billion years old do I really need one that was unearthed last week? For sustainability reasons and wallet considerations a pre-owned pair of Diamond studs was in my family's best interest. I floated the idea to Kyla over Facebook messenger that I wanted to upgrade my diamond studs that I had been wearing for about 6 years. She brought in something for me to view and I realized I wanted to go "bigger" but was not ready to make a purchase in the near future. A few months later she kept me in mind and said she had access to a pair that on paper seemed too good to be true. We were both skeptical until they arrived in person. Kyla made sure they were worth seeing so I didn't make the drive all the way over from the Eastside to be disappointed. I have spent 15 years grading diamonds so I was going to be able to do my own due-diligence and make sure I liked what I saw. My initial reaction was that they "were pretty" which I was pleasantly surprised. I tried them on and walked in front of every mirror. I threw a refundable deposit down on them to give me a day to sleep on it. I then came back and purchased them so I could take them home and see if I still liked them in all of the mirrors in my own home with my own lighting. Sold! I ended up not trading in my old pair of studs because the price that was given to me from the sourced pair they found was so good that I decided to hold on to the others for an heirloom for one of my girls that they could wear while I'm still alive because I am not giving up the new ones in my ears! I have gotten more compliments on these earrings in the last couple of months that I have owned them then I ever got on my 1.5 cttw pair. They are beautifully cut and we re-set them in a new lower martini setting so they were "new to me" I'm wearing these a few months early as they are technically a 10 year anniversary present that doesn't take place until next year. But I can't let these beauties stay in the safe! I have never been disappointed by the products or level of service I have received at Olympic. They are nice to my kids when we come and they always remember me. No regrets! Highly recommend. read more
