Ring spent five years in a box after being cut off. This is after repairs at Ben's Loan.

I had received two bids to repair my wedding ring that nearly stopped my heart and two shops tell me it wasn't repairable at all, so I thought I'd see about trading the stones and gold for a similar ring might be my only solution. I stopped by to see if you had anything like what I was thinking, but you didn't. I explained my situation to your associate and he asked if I had the ring with me. I did. He took one look and said I bet we can fix this for a couple hundred. YOU DID!! Looks awesome again and didn't break me, you have a customer for life! THANK YOU!!

This place is an absolute freaking JOKE!!!!…read more The way they treat you while taking your money is crazy!!! I wish I would of NEVER put an item on layaway! The thing that pushed me to do it, was my King was dealing with this location and swore by it, but after they muscled him out of a credit and helped him LOOSE the item on layaway, I knew I was in for a ride! When I first started my journey, I was told that my payments would be $50. So why when it came time to make first one, it was actually $75!!! (wth???) mmm ok, I don't want to say NO problem , like it was NOT, but I did them one better - I made a $100 payment! And that is what I continued to do throughout this horrible experience, paid $100 because at this point I was always told a different price. So paying more each month, you think that you would be treated with some decency. Hahahahaha, oooh baybeeeeee was I WROOOOONG!!! I had even asked several employees if you could make payments at other locations as it was becoming too much to drive all the way to Renton, just for payment. I was told each time NO you cant, but then ironically on my second to last payment, all of a sudden , it was an option (wth!!!) Being that I live deep in Seattle from the Renton location , I went ahead over to Rainier (much much closer, have you seen the price of gas?) I get there and like damn you got to ring a bell to come in? ok makes sense we are in the Southend and people are nuts! Also she is a female in the establishment alone. Wow would I have loved to just deal with her always as she was kind sweet helpful patient and some more. She also advised since next payment is my last - I would need to do it at Renton because I will be picking up too. Ok, so last payment comes around. I am soooo proud of paying this off by myself for a birthday gift. My drive over I am excited beyond measure... Hmm.. but when I got there, thats when the BS unfolded. I was NOT greeted at all upon arriving in. I looked around at the rings (not if I would ever get something here again) . I was finally seen. Explained what I needed to do. So Mister manager in training , i think Kenny is his name. He made a mistake and charged me way less than he was supposed to saying some trash like he didnt see the whole form, didnt know it was my last payment, blah blah blah and even had the audacity to blame it on the system. ok whatever - so here we go charging MY card AGAIN for a large amount (honestly now that I think of it, I feel like he overcharged me and I should of just been making the first payment he already charged) Guess ill never know because yall exhaust me and well if ya did steal from me, get ready for the wrath you will pay! Before he brings my new toy out, I ask him - now what if I didnt have the money on my card for transaction #2 and YOUR mistake? You know this buster dude going to reply something crazy like oh well we would of put ya bike back on display and YOU would of had to pay a holding fee to keep what in the entire crock of shit are you feeding me? so you mean to tell me for YOUR mistake , I would of had to pay another fee to hold my item? mmm , I am not feeling that and there should be exceptions to the rules, especially when the mistake is on yall side He had me soooo frustrated with his lack of care and acknowledgment , I let him know - you have manager in training on your badge? You aren't ready for this position and they would be fools to give it to you!!! You know this rude fucker did NOT start up my bike, show or help me with ANYTHING and allowed me to try to get out the front door with this heavy ass bike Thank God someone in there had a heart (a customer seen me struggling at the door and just automatically came to open it) Then when I got outside I also needed help to collapse it for the car ride home. NOOOOOOOPE none of those raggedy MEN in there WORKING came to help, so there were some street people outside that appeared out of nowhere (but of course somewhere because I am a child of God, so he sent help) . This guy was helpful in figuring how to break it down and even mentioned it was fucked up none of them came to help me load my bike! I agreed and said they will never get a penny from me again!!! so yeah Cash America you are TRASH and really need to reconsider who you have as a manager in training because Kenny is NOT the one!!!! This was my/our journey, maybe yours will be different!

Long story, but I thought I would help out a local prospecting business and drove 45 minutes to buy a water pump for my trommel before heading out on a trip. I didn't test it since I assumed it was new but once I got in the field it would pump and found that it was completely rusted. Once I got back into town I wanted to exchange it but was told I should have called (yeah right, no cell signal out at the claim) and that there will be no returns and no exchanges. Got a bit hostile when I told him it was not new as it was solid rust. After I was called a liar I hung up never to do business again. I just wished I would have had warning before losing $250.

You have that much money to throw away for analizing soil which is hundreds of dollars for this and your complaining about what gold was actually found in your concentrates. You even went as far as calling the police on this Francis? Really? I bet they got a good laugh out of you. I know I did when I saw your review. Hey Francis "GET A LIFE". First of all the shop is really a great resource for information on prospecting in the northwest. The owner (Brian) is a wealth of information on how to get involved with others who enjoy the adventure of gold prospecting. There are so many great tools for prospecting in the shop from mechanical dredges, hand dredges, gold cubes, blue bowls, sluice boxes, concentrators pans, gold pans, and alot more. I enjoy the fact that I can go buy what I need locally and get out there on the streams. Instead of buying online where I don't always know when I'll get what I ordered, or if there may be problems later. For myself and others I know, we very happy having a local shop that has the most basic tools, all the way to ultra fancy gold dredges. Seattle Gold and Prospecting also has great bags of concentrate to practice your panning skills on. I have found plenty of gold in the bags I've purchased. Seattle Gold and Prospecting has all the items you could want but with the down home feeling. I like to go in and just listen and learn sometimes. But I always seem to buy something and bring it home. So go check it out for yourself!!!

Almost hidden in plain sight. Yards get a bad rap for trying to rip people off. Not in my one experience: I got what Google said was being paid for the part and weight. But here they pretty much removed the scap immediately: about as clean as one could imagine for such a business. A bit overwhelming for a first-timer. Now that I know the ropes, I could be smoother and maybe give the extra star (note: 5 stars is Far Exceeding expectations, involving walking on water. 4 is above average and is a great score. 3 is what a run of the mill experience gets)

FRANKS experience should give warning & share the ugliness to customers about to frequent this store. Maybe my story will serve as a reminder to reconsider purchasing here. At the time or beginning of my story Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler who was an Authorized Dealer for ROLEX in the Pacific Northwest. After doing some research I started frequenting the store looking for a few Rolex watches. Yes , I was very specific in my choices but always given the " NO " you can't have one for over 2 years. I came in every 4 to 6 weeks just to check and " NO" was the mantra of the sales staff. I was always told we have other watches for sale. Like who cares what ya have if ya can't provide what I desire. Now one amazing summer day I saw the $6400 41mm Celebration dial by Rolex in the case. My excitement level increased and I ask if it's for sale? The mantra is now uttered "NO NO NO" ! However something new that day happened and was shared by sales representative, I was actually told if you spend a $1,000,000 in jewelry it should be no issue to get that watch..... Now I was stunned by this statement so much I said are you serious and the person said YES! Well, that seems excessive and ridiculous and no I didn't drop a million to acquire the timepiece. I'll never forgot the arrogance of staff member of Alvin Goldfarb Jewelry and defiantly will not purchase anything from them. OK, now this is the happy ending of the story. I did manage to acquire The Celebration dial by Rolex elsewhere so I have that going for me. And on January 1st 2025 the BIG HAND OF THE CROWN aka ROLEX laid the smack down on ALVIN GOLDFARB & pulled authorized dealership away from store. No longer can they sell ROLEX.... KARMA saw the bad business practices by using Rolex watches to lure you into buying unwanted jewelry or non Rolex branded watches you don't want in order to maybe purchase a Rolex. Well, this is my story my truth & my journey, can you dig it!

I took in a wedding ring crown that has 5 diamonds on it since I had lost one of the diamonds. Upon bringing it in, Josh let me know they could fix it and was already bagging it up without even giving a quote. I then asked for a quote since I'd gotten one from the original maker of the ring. I had let him know the quote he gave which was $390-425 was higher than what they quoted. But ultimately decided I'd rather have it fixed locally than send it out since I didn't want to wait (which I voiced verbally). He took a closer look and said they could do it for $425. I said okay because after shipping costs, it would only be ~$40 more than sending it to the maker. He said okay, and that he'd pick out the diamond today and I'd have it back the following week. 2 full weeks went by before it was ready so I was already a bit annoyed since that was likely the same turn around if I mailed it to the maker! But then when I went to pick it up, the price was $595+tax. I asked why the price difference (and refreshed his memory on our convo at drop off) and he just said okay we can do it for $495. So not only did it take just as long, but in the end after tax I spent over $100 more than what I would have spent if I sent it to the maker.
