Overall it's great. For the range: For those who never came before: For one dollar, you can buy ~ 2rds 9mm/1.33rd 5.56/1rd 12 gauge/1.5rd .45/9rds .22 here. I brought the gold membership. It is a bit costly but I would say it worth the price if you come regularly. It's also a great option for me as it includes the rental fees and I'd like to try different guns each time. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. One small thing to mention: They do provide shotguns for rental but the only standard option is KS7, which is cool if it's not jamming. I went to rent it twice and it both jammed. Staffs are nice as they switched Benelli M4 to me which was intended to be a "premium" rental. Would be nicer if they also provide 590/870/any other pump-action shotguns as standard options in the future. Apart from that, there's nothing I can complain. There was a time I went to the range with a friend who's shooting for the first time. Chris was very helpful and provides my friend with a quick but through intro and some other helps. For the shop: Great service. There's a young staff who is really friendly and helpful. No one would push you to make decisions here (which I like it) but you can always find helps if needed. read more

Been coming here for over 10+ years. Actually purchased my first pistol here, and many more since then. Decided to visit because they usually have a good selection of handguns. After browsing for 10 mins or so, and not being helped (store was dead and staff was just talking to each other), I ask if they have any staccato HD P4s in stock. Staff member says "yes, but there's an allocation." So I ask if that means there's a waiting list? He replies, "no". Looks at his watch and says "it's 7 o'clock". I said "I'm sorry what does that mean? I just want to see it. I'm not planning on purchasing today." So he says, "do you want to see it?" and I say "yes". At this point I'm very confused by the interaction. I'm not going to spend $3k on a handgun without seeing it in person. Anyway, he grabs it. Shows me. Seems very uninterested in talking to me about it. So decided then and there I'm never coming back. I don't know if he was mad cause it was end of shift, or annoyed because I'm not his typical demographic for this purchase. I'll let my friends and family know not to bother going there anymore. I used to recommend them all the time. Also, the owner's response on google explains it all. Essentially saying I was partly to blame for miscommunication, when it's clear "Ramon" didn't want to help me. The guy is in sales, what's a "man of few words" doing in that position? Your job is to speak and engage with customers, and hopefully have repeat customers. It's clear from the other reviewers, I am not the only person who's had a similar experience with him or the other "pro shop" staff. Also, the response to my review was very passive-aggressive IMHO. In hindsight, the many times I did shop with friends and family, no one ever asked if we needed any help. A friend reminded me of that today. We always have to approach first. Very disappointed with the customer service!! I brought my gun to them on September 5th. I wanted a new sight. When I originally brought it in, the woman helping me stated that it would take a few hours, but that the gunsmith was not in. I said that I would leave it, but that it would probably be a few days before I could return for it. She stated that they would call me when it was finished. Not having heard anything, I called on September 9th. The man who answered the phone asked me if I had put a rush on it when I explained why I was calling. I said no, she told me it would be a few hours. The man sort of scoffed at me, and stated that it was going to take weeks, not hours, and that the gunsmith worked on first come first serve, and was backed up. He said that they would call me when it was done. He was very condescending. I tried to be patient, but when I called again on October 19th, I was told that it still was not done. I called again, still nothing. I finally gave up on calling, and went in on November 27th. I didn't care, I just wanted it back. When I went in and said that I was done waiting, the man at the counter went back, and brought out my finished gun. He tried to tell me that it had been finished on September 9th, and that they had called me. BS!! I went home and double checked, and the only calls were my outgoing calls to them. There was not one single call from them. So not only did they take forever, they also lied to me. I will never take a gun there again, and would highly reccomend that you find someone else to work on your guns. These guys were terrible to try to work with! They were condescending liars. read more

The Concealed Carry I (LADIES ONLY), Level 102, class with Raider Tactical, on March 19, at Bellevue Gun Club was an excellent class! Julia, the instructor, tailored the curriculum to what we four students needed. Lots of interchange with the instructor on legal and practical issues. The exercises on the range built on each other well, and I appreciated these also as a basis for future individual practice at the range. The range itself is top-rate. Excellent ventilation, contained air flow, safety-conscious clean range and facilities. The staff are consistently welcoming and competent. The staff is friendly as always, puts safety first, is extremely welcoming, open minded and patient. I am extremely grateful that I have a world class gun safety and self defense facility in town. I really appreciate that the staff wants me to be able to protect myself but not at the cost of putting anyone at risk and insists constantly on safe handling, the safer equipment, and training towards safety automatisms. Took an intro handgun class here six months ago and the instructor was great. I forgot his name but he was a former police officer and a good American, very knowledgeable and had great stories. The staff in the store are also very helpful and nice. Being a first time gun buyer, they took time to explain everything and the process was easy and not intimidating. While the prices might be a little higher than other places, I'll pay the difference for the good service that I get here. I come back here all the time for ammo and cleaning supplies and staff is always friendly and answers any questions I might have. Looking forward to taking more classes here in the future and buying another handgun once I can get a concealed carry permit. read more

I cannot thank Chris and Derek enough for the great experience at the Entry Level Handgun class my husband and I took yesterday. We really enjoyed the comfortable environment, knowledgeable instructors and professionalism shown during our course. I was nervous going into the class, but left feeling comfortable and excited to return for a private lesson and some range time. This is a review of the 100-level "Entry Level Handgun" course offered at the range by a non gun-owner who had never fired a gun before. I decided it's a good time to learn about the basics of handgun safety and fundamentals. My reasoning: 1) As a US citizen, I have the right to bear arms. I have yet to exercise this right, and I want to learn the basics of gun safety and use. 2) To arm myself as a precaution when a person has malicious intent to harm myself or others, specifically in a case of a home invasion. Prior to my class, I had never touched a gun, let alone fired one. My intent for ownership of a gun is for defending myself/others in an emergency. 3) There has been a substantial increase in hate crimes against Asians since the COVID-19 pandemic started. As an Asian-American US citizen, I don't feel safe. Learning about gun fundamentals and how to handle a handgun is a step I can take to defend myself and hopefully stop myself from becoming a victim. The class was taught by George, a marine. The course was excellent and covered the fundamentals of handgun safety, handling, and an overview of what types of handguns and ammunition types are available. I got to shoot three different kinds of handguns during the class. The range followed the COVID protocols, during the classroom portion we were able to sit six feet apart and masks are required. The people at the range are not pushy to try to get you to purchase a gun. In fact, they recommend shooting a variety of handguns to find the one that's right for you. I received a complimentary bronze membership for the range after the class. With the membership I can rent some handguns to shoot at the range, provided I bring at least one guest. I plan to take the 101 level handgun course in the future to further build on what I've learned so far. I don't own a handgun of my own yet, although I plan to get one in the future. I recommend the 100 level handgun course to anyone wanting to learn how to shoot for the first time and/or become a first time owner. read more

I had a private lesson with Davis L. last night. I was really apprehensive about my appt. I hadn't handled a handgun before and I was nervous and unsure if I could do it but I wanted to learn because I think it's important to know how to safely handle a gun. I never thought I would actually enjoy my appt which I'm sure was thanks to my instructor Davis who went step by step building my knowledge and comfort gradually before we went to the range and actually fired the gun. By the end of the appt I not only felt comfortable handling the gun but truly enjoyed my lesson and felt empowered by the experience. Can't wait to go back! Also brought a friend who wasn't sure about it either but reluctantly went and also is really looking forward to going back. I'd highly recommend a private lesson here with Davis. Great experience!! A shout out to instructor and Marine, George Nunes, whose quiet, patient demeanor and expert guidance is a credit to WCA. His private instruction was my wife's birthday gift and she truly enjoyed it. Do I need to mention that the WCA facility is spotlessly clean, spacious, and their selection of weaponry is excellent by anyone's standards. Also, WCA is 'mask-aware' and makes them mandatory--which is a GOOD thing, especially for the elderly (if you care). I asked a young hipster at QFC why he wasn't wearing a mask. He told me that it was none of my business. I told him that many elderly people like me went to Vietnam to defend and protect democratic values for all Americans. We put our lives on the line. This is a range close to me, I have had other experiences at other local stores that didn't go to well. That's when I found west coast. I have done quite a bit of business here (what I consider a bit for me) I would say this is super friendly for children. I have 2 young boys and one is old enough to shoot, he is 9 right now. He absolutely love it. I am not sure why I have seen some "not kid friendly on here." Maybe because the age doesn't go younger? My 3 year old isn't ready but maybe in 2 years lol. Everyone is pretty friendly especially on the store side. Everyone is always helpful and fairly knowledgeable. So I have done a few classes and had liked them all especially the more advanced ones. I know these are pipe dreams however, to get 5 stars there would have to be a shoot house, force on force simunition training, outdoor range as well. But I get that's asking a lot for in Bellevue. The other thing is there ventilation is great but I sweat every time in there so if that didn't happen that would be great. read more

Terrible store, charging $100! For every single transfer PLUS the $18 WA tax is just an outright RIPOFF and even more for NFA transfers of course, MANY! Other stores and stores only charge $30 after WA's $18 fee $48, selection is not that good except they carry random cheap Glock parts if you don't want to buy them online. read more

Just finished Carbine Fundamentals 101 class with two brilliant instructors. What did I learn? That I don't know how to manipulate AR. Many more range visits are needed to get efficient with this platform. Btw I am shooting twice a week at this range, mostly pistol and shotgun. Member here for years but something has changed recently with rude range staff. One in particular seems to be targeting my wife and myself, each time when have been in sense the first of the years he has found a reason to confront one or both of us. I purchased on of the top memberships paid $1200 and pay $100 a year and now when we go there we are made to feel unwanted and uncomfortable. Its a clean safe range and generally well run but if the last few months are any indication things are beginning to slip in the wrong direction. read more

Took the Carbine Fundamentals class with Brett and Josh on Dec 19. The class was front to back very squared away. The process of starting with checking zero all the way to shoot and move drills was excellent. Both Brett and Josh were very mindful of what we needed as students and progressed the class in a way that was challenging and very rewarding. As a testament I have signed up for the intermediate carbine class and can't wait. I have also visited the pro shop a bit this year with several employees providing excellent service and advice. Jeremy and I think a guy named Matt come to mind. It's been tough getting some products this year but it was great to be able to get on a wish list and after a few months get the toy I wanted. I've purchase multiple guns at the Gun shop, taken multiple courses, made two transfers and have been very impressed and happy with my experiences at West Coast Armory. Friendly, knowledgeable Staff, a great selection of guns, ammunition and supplies and they're open late in the evening, six days a week. My first time here and the staff is welcoming and very helpful. But one thing that bothered me was the lady in the lane next to me shot the rail and didn't get called out by the employee. I shot my .556 the same time she was shooting her pistol and she shot the rail again but the worker stopped me and blamed me for it, I didn't want to argue about it so I just said "sorry, wont happen again." I didn't shoot my AR for the rest of the time I was there. The worker was so busy watching my every move, he didn't even notice that the lady next to me shot the rail a third time lol read more

This place has Ana amazing range but an odd pro shop. After spending also $170 at there gun range, their pro shop denied to sell me ammo because they said & thought I smelled like marijuana. I did not bring any such substance into their facility. Mind you, This is after I just got done shooting 200 rounds for about two hours .I've bought 200 rounds while I was at the shooting range so I don't know why it's the problem now.
