There was a mix of lecture type instruction and hands-on. They went into detail about how things worked and actually show it on the firearm as they go along. Every person got 1:1 time to practice correct posture, handling, etc before the range and then again on the range. We all shot a few rounds on four different guns which really helped give me an idea of what I might like. We had a wide range of experience and they handled everyone expertly. I feel a lot less anxious and much more prepared!

I've been struggling with accuracy and my instructor helped me work on some new fundamentals I was not familiar with in addition to pointing out some things I did know about but was actually doing incorrectly! I can't recommend Empower Her Firearm Training enough. I learned so much and am looking forward to more sessions. I feel as though I am well on my way to correcting some bad habits I've developed over the past year and looking forward to working on and improving my fundamentals. To my instructor, thank you for your patience and diligence in helping me improve. Today was invaluable and so informative.

Tacoma Rifle & Revolver Club was very welcoming, we have had help when needed from member and that is awesome! The Range safety officers are amazing, and we have even become friends with one of them. The club offers access for other than shooting fire arms, they have classes, they have Archery, Air Guns, an area for Rv's. For firearms enthusiasts there are center fire matches, bench rest matches, .22 rim fire matches, a mid week shooting league, a women's pistol league and much more. The range is safe, the facilities are clean, and the people are worth getting to know.

I'd have to join to see the range. I'm not paying over $150 just to get a look at the place. Or he might have told me about any of the events coming up that were open to the public (as audience). I may check the place out again. I may change my review. As far as the people whinging about the noise - they were here first. Be mad at the real estate developers that put in entire neighborhoods next door. And next time, do your due diligence.

Evan and the assistant instructors are very good about giving constructive, targeted feedback. I feel that I have learned a lot of new things and had plenty of opportunity to fine-tune the basics, which has helped me build up my strength. In class, we learn to protect ourselves and fight back. When we learn new techniques, Evan breaks down the psychological aspects before moving into the how-to, enabling a full understanding of the why you are learning this. The real-life scenarios continue to be a helpful, and above all, safe way for me to try out what I've learned. Some of the other reviews have mentioned the work out at the end of class. This is no joke. The workout is the best! We do circuit training with some combative stuff thrown in, like palm strikes, elbows, and knife-dodging. Evan encourages you and will even work out with you. I'm not even a fitness freak (ugghhh I hate the gym), but this workout rocks. For those who are feeling iffy about the class and the amount of combat that takes place, please be assured that Evan always encourages you to find a way out of a physical altercation. This is an attitude that I have always appreciated because at the end of the day, I'm a lover, not a fighter. This class is just teaching you what you can do if you are left with no choice or caught off guard.
