My wife and renewed our required First Aid/CPR and AED certification by taking Kevin's training…read moretoday. Somehow he's made it even more enjoyable and faster-paced than two years ago. He has such an easy and clear manner in teaching his class. What both impressed and surprised me is how certain CPR instructions have changed in the past two years. Kevin gave detailed instructions even in where/how to stand next to someone having a cardiac or choking event, where to position legs and feet and where to put the cellphone (on speakerphone) next to the victim for talking with a 911 operator. Kevin's trainings are replete with stories about calls he's been on in the past year or so and the specific reasons why some of those calls had happy or tragic endings. The expanse of his knowledge on his subject is breathtaking--so he's the right guy to be teaching this class! Also, we've been to CPR/First Aid certification training that dragged on and on. Kevin's class flies by while ensuring we all have not only gained or refreshed knowledge but had that right amount of hands-on practice. He covers so much in his 3-hour training that it's best to just take the class to discover all it encompasses. And--Kevin? See you in two years, my friend.

She engages with the kids well and always makes sure the learning environment is interactive and safe. Our daughter is now almost one year old and is extremely sociable, outgoing, and engaging and we believe Kindermusik is a big reason why. She gets extra giggly and bouncy from the moment we walk into the building for her weekly class. We highly recommend Kiddos and Kin. Sometimes I think I have more fun in the class than my baby. I learn a lot of great songs and tools for playing with my child and I know it helps our bond.

Ms. Smaga pays attention not only to whether the notes my son plays are correct, but also to how he is playing, and all the other little details of how he approaches the piano, even from the first lesson. She provides him with useful exercises to develop his technique, and treats him like an equal. She is serious, but also fun. We love her.

Instructor's Jaz and Anna-Linda were amazing. I passed both the skills and written on the first try. Great experience and I really felt that the whole team wants you to succeed. They know what they're doing here for sure! My only complaint was not knowing in advance (like when I signed up) that the clinical days were 2-10pm (**I was on the evening schedule, this won't be true if you take the morning or weekend course, but you might have different hours all the same for clinicals). This knowledge would've been nice to give to my employer but we worked it out!!

They provide no useful service- your grandpa is better qualified than the untrained so called instructor sitting next to you, who is just the average joe that has tried to drive a manual at least once in thier life. Who makes them no more qualified than my 14 year old little sister who knows how to drive but doesnt have her drivers license, but could talk you through it better than these characters. Its not rocket science and before automatic cars people drove manual cars, everywhere and learned by themselves!! because they PRACTICED!! They didnt pay people to watch them practice or ride with them to practice...Anything takes practice, so ask a friend to ride along -go to an empty lot or country road or even a cemetary (has hills) and practice!!! push in clutch start/stop/shift gears - let out clutch - go! Kill it? repeat previous steps! Dont pay some bogus scam business some astronomical price for something they dont even provide! These are not trained instructors but actors playing the part!! DONT GET SCAMMED or tricked out of your hard earned money!! If you are lonely find a companion preferrably the kind that does not charge you for their time. Learning is a process dont be afraid of it! Quiters never win!!

I was very pleased with this service! I bought my own stick shift (manual Kia Soul) about two…read moremonths ago and started learning to drive it on my own.... Then, I burned the clutch trying to go uphill (more than once - resulting in a need for a new clutch) and felt extremely discouraged. I was very nervous to get behind the wheel again, thinking I may cause further damage to my car. I was referred to Stick Shift Driving Academy from a family member, and it was just what I needed. After speaking with JC at customer service about my availability, I was matched with Amber, a driving instructor in my area. Amber called me and we set up a place to meet and practice that was close and convenient for me (along a bus line). Stick Shift Driving Academy hosts many driving instructors throughout the U.S. and you are matched with one in your area based on your needs. In my case, I was very happy to learn from another woman! Amber was very patient and understanding. We used her car to practice, so I felt comfortable trying new things and was not worried about burning the clutch on my older vehicle. She also helped me understand what could have gone wrong for me to burn my clutch, and I haven't had that "burning rubber smell" since! I drove with Amber for four hours (the High Power Vehicle Package). I will say - I think the packages should really just be thought of as "how long do you want to drive for?"- I don't think the packages really relate to different "levels."- The instruction is flexible and based off of the customer's needs. In my case, I really needed to focus on hills, so that's what we did. We found an empty parking lot with some hills, and did that until I felt comfortable. Additionally, I learned downshifting, reversing, feathering (a technique new to me, and soooo helpful!), and of course shifting to 1st gear. Overall, I highly recommend Stick Shift Driving Academy and Amber. My confidence in driving my own vehicle is way up, and I'm conquering hills in the Seattle area with more ease!

Pros: Weekend class availability, less than $800, Instructor John!…read moreCons: Everything else. I enrolled at Blossom Nursing Assistant Training School because they offered weekend course and I work full time during the week. Every class included in something going wrong. More times than not, we were outside waiting for an instructor to come and open up. (John, one of the instructors, was the only instructor on time and ready to go at the beginning of every class and clinical - We appreciate John!!) The schedule was changed after payment of the course, which added on a Friday class which most of the students weren't able to do. We were required last minute to change our schedules to be there as it was mandatory. Clinicals were in Federal Way because Blossom students were no longer welcome at the Lakewood and Tacoma long term card facilities. We were not notified what day our CPR class would be held until it was that day and lunch time comes and the instructor said we would be staying 4 hours after class ended to get it done. Since there was no warning, dinner wasn't packed, childcare wasn't handled - it was very unorganized and rude. The owner said that the state testing would be held at our facility (Lakewood location) so my classmates and I put down a deposit to secure our spots and then the location changed. This required myself and others to come an additional weekend to familiarize ourselves with the Kent location in order to be more successful during our test. This business just needs to work out its kinks and be respectful of the students. We respected the Blossom building, materials and instructors' time, why wasn't ours kept in mind when all these changes were made?
