BEWARE. Purchased rifle with EOTECH sight attached and mag included. When I picked up the rifle from my FFL BOTH the EOTECH and the mag are missing. Over $630 in value gone. Pintos lied to me multiple times, refused to help, and blamed the FFL who I have dealt with for years. I have never had this happen with any other item, nor had such a terrible experience with a seller. Apparently their packaging procedures are even worse than their customer service. read more

Had a very bad experience that I explained in a review written today. After posting my review, I took the time to read other people's experiences and reviews and it becomes very apparent that my issues with Pintos gunshop are shared by many and it's a wonder that their still in business. From paperwork problems, to the unbelievably poor service,the one star reviews all tell the same story. This is a great business considering it partners with the local RFGC for "kids day." More businesses should follow Pintos, and invest in positive firearms experience for our youth. +1 star for that. Pintos has a good selection of "consignment sales." I have multiple items from this shop, and they do a pretty good job of cleaning up their used firearms. The used prices are OK, but I've seen better prices on brand new items when on sale at other shops. I really do like their inventory list they have on their website. I wish all local gun stores did that because it would save me a lot of time and not having to call the sales desk to ask if something is in stock. The customer service, in my experience, has been mostly positive. Mostly friendly staff with enthusiasm to help out. This feels like a tight knit group, and overall professional service. I haven't purchased any modern new releases from here, this isn't really the place for tactical modern gear; but I do highly recommend Pinto's for their used inventory and bringing "kids day" at the local range. read more

EDIT: Since my previous review, I was contacted not only by the referring appraisal services, but by the owners themselves of Pinto's Guns, and was fortunate to set up an in-home appraisal. I was informed that my number had been written down incorrectly by an employee, hence the lack of communication. When all was said and done, the Pintos were incredibly accomodating and knowledgeable, efficient, and well-versed in their craft. They were even gracious enough to spend some time with my dog (my cat wasn't so friendly). It's incredible how a simple, easy contact like this can change even the most hardened heart. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had originally contacted this shop in April to inquire about their appraisal services. They were helpful and compassionate then. When I came back to cement those services a couple of months later (processes move slowly, even when one doesn't wish them to), I was told I would be called back the next day after my name and number were supposedly written down. My call was not returned. I called back a few days later and was given the same treatment, this time told that the shop was shorthanded hence the reason I was not called back. I explained I was given a deadline to have an appraisal done, which was a shock to me, and would like to speak with someone about having one done. Once again, I was told I would be called back. I was not. I just recently called and left a message with my name, number, and reason for the call. Third time's a charm, right? In the interim, I have a call in to other appraisers who may be able to provide me with the services I'm seeking or, at least, put me in contact with someone who can get the job done. If this is how a customer on the phone is treated, I'm extremely cautious as to how I would have been treated face-to-face. read more

I am not one to talk down upon businesses. But I NEED to share my experience so others don't feel the same way. Me and my family left this place incredibly upset. It was my boyfriend's 21st today. We went to look at a gun for him to get and he was looking at one to buy. Keep in mind it was me my boyfriend and my two brothers. We are all 21 and OVER. The first man we talked to was extremely helpful respectful and nice. I wish I could give his name cause he was the only pleasant part of our experience. But there was one man who absolutely was the most disrespectful man I have encountered at any business. We were asking questions about guns and he was responding with a pissed off tone and stating rude comments as if we didn't know the specific name of a gun attachment we were idiots. We were there to learn and see what best fit us. And he completely crushed that. We were having a great day and this completely ruined our experience. I'm not sure if he just had a bad day which we all do but when you work in customer service fake it because making your customers feel like that is NOT okay. You lost 4 buyers today! I'm just appalled at the treatment that we received from that man. Like I said the first guy we talked to was great but the other man was absolutely awful. We will be going to pantel tactical as they treated us amazingly before this place but we were keeping our options open. Nope back to pantel we go. read more

Great selection on old sporting rifles and shotguns. My friend picked up a used shotgun for very cheap. I may have to buy from here once I have more spending money! However, some of the employees didn't know much or anything about some of the guns. Which is somewhat understandable as many of the guns are surplus or previously owned which makes knowing their history and condition difficult. But saying "I don't know, sorry" and giving up on the customer isn't cool. At least one person in that store probably knows or can at least direct me to a website that knows stuff. read more

This place is has a good selection of older, weirder, and historic/surplus firearms. Basically all the stuff I like. On my first visit here I walked out with a stunningly beautiful Yugoslavian Mauser and a few boxes of 8mm ammo. (good luck finding that kind of stuff just sitting around on shelves during these times) I wouldn't recommend selling anything to them however. They offered me $400 for a $1000 gun that was basically brand new. They are taking full advantage of the fact you can't return gun purchases anymore. Also their Covid protocol is wildly inconsistent and totally ineffective. They make people wait in line outside the store but as soon as you get inside nobody is wearing masks, It's not even the lazy mask around your neck until the boss is looking instead they just straight up don't have them. Also there is no rhyme or reason to the number of people in the store or who waits in line. This guy walked past the whole line, waved at an employee who recognized him and let him in like he had a freaking Pinto's premium pass membership or something. He mumbled something to us about being the mayor's buddy or something, bought an armful of reloading supplies and then left while we all watched. read more

In response to the reply I received from the "business owner" about my previous comment... Yes, state law does say "the seller MAY remove the firearm from the business premises". But state law does not stipulate, or imply, that the FFL can refuse to allow the owner of said firearm from doing so. If you think you have the legal authority to tell the owner what they can or cannot do with their own property you'd better check with an attorney because I highly doubt that it will hold up in court against a law suit. Unless you are consigning or purchasing the firearm for/from the owner the ATF does not consider the firearm property of the FFL. You simply have to enter it into your bound-book because the owner is leaving it with you. No different than if I was to leave my firearm with the FFL to have gunsmithing done. Taking possession of, not taking ownership of...there's a difference. That being said neither Federal nor State law requires a background check to be performed to return the firearm to the owner. In other words unless OWNERSHIP has changed an FFL is NOT required to do a NICS check in order to return the firearm to the owner. You either don't understand the laws, in which case you should consult with an attorney, or you are trying to take advantage of customers who do not know/understand the laws, in which case your immoral and deceitful business practices are despicable. Since other reviewers have noted your arrogant, lousy attitude and labeled you as "disrespectful and condescending" I am leaning toward the latter. read more

Really good people running the shop. It's a small place where you can find lots of good deals on estate firearms, reloading supplies and ammo. You can order newer firearms but their stock is always more what they have obtained from estate sales. Some truly unique finds from old to newer. i walked in to look at some rifles, still in the research phase so wasn't quite ready to buy yet. randy showed me a few things off the rack, and took his time to chat about them and give me recommendations. two things helped to earn my trust, and push this from a pleasant 4 star experience to a 5 star one: 1. no salesmanship, randy did not try to get me to buy a more expensive item than i needed. instead he recommended a low cost item based on my needs. 2. randy recommended several other shops for me to check out, so that i can properly do my research before buying. the other shops could be considered competitors but he did not hesitate to send me there. 5/5 would visit again. read more

I went to Pinto's because I was interested in purchasing my first handgun. I've went to a few other gun shops before, but Pinto's had more selection and variety. The man helping me my first time in was very friendly when walking me through the process and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all being a first time buyer. No pressure to buy right now was his general attitude, which reassured me that I found the right gun shop. I was really interested in the CZ 75B 9mm and they had it brand new in stock at a great price. I've seen it marked over $100 more at a different shop before. So I went for it and don't regret a thing. I got a call from Pinto's when my waiting period and background check was finished. They told me it would take up to 10 business days; I got a call in 7. The second time I was in there, someone else was taking care of me. I got the same friendly service I received the first time I was in. This time I was interested in some home defense ammo and the guy showed me plenty of popular options and told me his opinions on them. Making it easier to choose from so many. Overall, great experience, great prices & service. Would recommend first time buyers to go here, or really anyone who's looking for a firearm without pressure from the salesmen. read more

While retro game hunting at the store across the street, I came here to look and research my 1st future AR15. I first came in with all the workers helping other people. About 5 minutes later, one of the clerks, Thor, helped me out. Coming from the tyrannical state of California, he was more than happy to answer all my questions and provide me with all the laws pertaining to purchasing and owning a firearm here in WA state. Thankfully, the laws here are a lot more reasonable and my worries for a super restricted process was alleviated. As a gun store I feel that they price their goods at a reasonable price with most firearms being under the sticker MSRP. I also understand that they're a business so they may have to tack in a few dollars more to make a profit (i.e. Ruger AR556 cost $620). On the other hand, I did not see much newer firearms but mostly used so take my previous paragraph with a grain of salt. Anyways, I did not buy an AR15 as I am still in the process of researching but I did leave the store with some 92FS/M9 mags to replace my limited 10 rnd California ones. Comparing the prices to other places, new high quality Mec Gars cost only $25 while used checkmates/OEM LEO mags cost b/t $10-$15. Still somewhat pricier than magwarehouse but I think their prices for OEM Glock mags are a lot cheaper compared to the other stores around here as well going for about $30 compared to the OEM15 rnd G19 $20 price tag online. Overall, I like the place and I liked the service I received. Both Thor and another worker answered all my questions in a prompt and professional manner and did care about my needs as a gun owner. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. The people are friendly, they take their time with you as a customer answering every question, and they're extremely knowledgeable. I called their shop because I was looking for a CZ 85 to add to my collection and was having trouble tracking one down at a reasonable price. I left a message on their machine and someone called me back right away. They found me the piece I was looking for at a great price, like $70 cheaper than anyone else I called. Once I headed down there I saw that they didn't just do firearms but they had reloading equipment there as well. I had been looking to get into reloading for some time and took this opportunity to ask questions and get some more information. I was introduced to Thor, and he is as mighty as his name! Amazing wealth of reloading knowledge. I asked a 100 stupid question and he answered everyone with clarity, never once making a noob feel uncomfortable. He walked me through every step and each piece of equipment I would need to get the job done, and most importantly WHY I needed each piece. He steered me toward a great single stage press, never trying to up sell me things I didn't need or wasn't ready for as a beginner. What's even more awesome is that when I called with questions about the process days later they gave me the same quality customer service I got in the shop over the phone.
