UPDATE RESPONSE TO OWNER: The total for the case of ammo elsewhere with tax and shipping is $338.18. I paid you all over $500 out the door for a case. I added a screenshot of the same ammo with price here. They are charging 28.49 per box of ammo for the same thing I paid you all $45.00 a box. Also, here locally the most expensive I've found this same ammo is for $38/box. Please understand my frustration. My advice would be to change distributors because they are ripping you and your customers off. I really liked these folks. I bought some ammo and realized they overcharged me by quite a lot. This was at the beginning of pandemic mess. I ordered the ammo and waited 3 weeks for them to get it. I thought when they quoted me the price that I was buying a specific bullet but when I picked up my ammo and went home I realized they overcharged me by between $10 and $20 dollars per box of Ammo. So essentially they made about $175 bucks off me. This ammo I bought sells for between $28-38 a box. They charged me $45 a box. I blame myself for not paying attention to the details here, but I trusted these folks. So all in all. Lesson learned. I will not be going here ever again.

I was picking up my online transfer shotgun tonight. This is my first time online purchasing firearms. Jason and Tammy are so nice, answered me some guns knowledge questions when the paper work being process. Their little kitty is so cute like a host there. I like this convenient shop. I will be back again.

Then they were telling people trying to do a lawful transfer that they couldn't communicate during paperwork because of straw purchase concerns. Straw purchasesers typically don't come in for background checks. Then while trying to purchase a gun the staff because extremely rude after I followed instructions exactly as asked. The experience was surreal. Precise shooter has a long reputation for having "particular" sales staff and being hard to deal with and I knew this when I went in but I tried to overlook it. This industry is too challenging to accept stores that enjoy bullying their customers instead of providing great service.

But mid conversation they had to take care of something, so another employee tagged in. This second person was rude, short, and had zero interest in explaining the firearm - even saying things that contradicted the first employee. I know it's nearly impossible to avoid "gun bros" at a firearm store. But buying weapons is important and serious; so having inconsistency with how employees handle customers shows a lack of respect for all parties. A previous time I was there, an employee had strict rules about handling and pointing the firearm. Explicitly holding onto the barrel while I held the grip, and aimed it AT THEMSELVES! I get it, we both verified the gun was safe and empty, but that broke like 3 of the firearm safety rules. I even asked if I could aim it somewhere else (some stores specifically have a wall target they know is safe). But nope, they wanted to hold onto the barrel and I could only hold it in front of them. Suffice to say, I did not hold onto the pistol for long and set it down.

I want to thank Carl for being so kind to me all this time and the rest of the staff for creating a safe and inclusive environment and allowing people like me to learn fast and be part of their community. It's literally just me and my son who want to share one but we aren't gonna spend the 300 something a piece we just wanna share a membership. Very lame considering it's just the 2 of us anyway and if he was just a year or two younger we would be fine. Other than that the range is nice I think they do a decent job filtering out dangerous people and keeping the range safe. It does get very very busy at times so be prepared to work around people, clean up after yourself, and most of all be respectful and safe for the people around you. They have a good selection of firearms if you get the silver membership you can pick form the pistols. I used to have one but since they made weird rules around it I refuse to get another ever and deter family and friends from the memberships too. The pistols the rent out do jam often and aren't always cleaned or kept up to personal standards. Other than that decent place.

Had been looking at Cabela's for a slightly hard to find item, a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in…read more.454 Casull. They were willing to bring in (from another Cabela's) for a $25 charge to me... despite it being a stocked item for their store when available. I like Cabela's just fine, but they are to gun shops what Home Depot is to a real hardware store: well-lit, unintimidating, and banal. Just for the heck of it, I checked Lynnwood Gun -- which didn't have it but recommended it -- and Adventure Sports. Adventure had one sitting in their case. They don't offer a veteran discount like Cabela's (5%), which would have saved me $55, but the price at Adventure Sports was $40 cheaper to begin with. Also no $25 fee, and no drive up to Tulalip to take a number and wait an hour or two for service. Lynnwood is grocery-shopping territory for me, not a long drive. Staff were knowledgeable, experienced, and female. No attitude other than good humor, and as one of the women owns and shoots a Taurus Raging Bull in this caliber, she was able to provide real-world, useful insights on ammo selection to a guy who hasn't shot the Casull before (this particular weapon was selected for a constellation of attributes appropriate to its designated mission: "fishing gun"). This store isn't optimized for tacticool wannaboyz. Adventure Sports doesn't specifically emphasize plastic phantastic, zombie-slaughtering engines sporting Coyote Brown, MOLLE-enabled, Pickatinny-mounted barf bags with Cerakote liners. They have a selection of that stuff (and there is a LOT of stuff in this small space), but you can still buy a shotgun at Adventure Sports with a plain wooden stock and no headlight -- you know, the kind of gun you take duck hunting, not something that looks like it should mount between the seats of a police cruiser. Lots of reviews here about snotty attitude, but I didn't see that. Then again, I don't usually walk into a gun store with a chip on my shoulder about how much I know -- and I've been shooting longer than most Yelpers have been alive (there's your attitude; you're welcome). ;) Held back one star only because I had to return to the store after a signature block was overlooked. Call was prompt and pleasant. So yes, I'll patronize this store again. I dislike the aspirational tuff guy nonsense in "new wave" stores like DGS as much as I appreciate the relaxed, experienced insight of a true, old school gun shop. How nice to find it right in my backyard.

It is a bit costly but I would say it worth the price if you come regularly. It's also a great option for me as it includes the rental fees and I'd like to try different guns each time. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. One small thing to mention: They do provide shotguns for rental but the only standard option is KS7, which is cool if it's not jamming. I went to rent it twice and it both jammed. Staffs are nice as they switched Benelli M4 to me which was intended to be a "premium" rental. Would be nicer if they also provide 590/870/any other pump-action shotguns as standard options in the future. Apart from that, there's nothing I can complain. There was a time I went to the range with a friend who's shooting for the first time. Chris was very helpful and provides my friend with a quick but through intro and some other helps. For the shop: Great service. There's a young staff who is really friendly and helpful. No one would push you to make decisions here (which I like it) but you can always find helps if needed.
