This is a true story of some of the worst customer service I've ever received. I arrived at Precise Shooter and saw the store was basically empty. I told them my SIG had arrived that day via FedEx. They asked if I had received the email, and I said no, but explained that I live an hour away, happened to be in the area, and was hoping they could do me a favor. The guy behind the register gave me pushback, but eventually said he would check. From his tone and expression, it was obvious that even looking was a huge bother. He went to the back for about 30 seconds and came back saying, "There is no way we can find your package. There are 20 boxes back there, and we can't open them all up to find yours." I said, "You don't have to open them all. I have the sender's name and tracking information right here. Could you use that to identify mine?" At that point, another staff member, who had been helping the only other customer, decided it was more important to argue with me. He came across like someone who needed to show customers who was in charge. He said, "We have a process, and we can't make exceptions for everyone. We get boxes every day." I said I was nearby and thought they might provide basic customer service. His response was, "We didn't ask you to come here!" I've never heard a retail employee say that before. I replied that I don't have to shop there either, but asked whether it made sense that there were almost no customers, at least three staff members present, and they still wouldn't help one of the only two customers there. Someone in the back could have looked during the time they spent arguing. He kept repeating that it would be hard to find the package and that they don't have time to do that for everyone. My response was, "Isn't that what you do in a retail store -- help your customers so you can make sales?" I could not understand why checking about 20 packages for the sender and tracking number was treated like an impossible task. Most people could do that in a few minutes. Helping customers seemed to be the lowest priority here. By then, two staff members had spent about 15 minutes arguing that it would take too much time, even though finding it likely would have taken 3-5 minutes. I asked if it made sense to spend all that time explaining why they couldn't help me when it could have already been resolved. That's when he got even more upset and started threatening to send my SIG back to the company. That felt like a pure power move. They refused to help a customer, then were apparently willing to pay to ship the item back just to make things harder for someone who had already purchased two pistols from them. This place seems to be all about ego and control. They were willing to argue for 20 minutes to avoid helping someone, then threaten to ship the item back to the factory out of spite. I'll get my SIG from another FFL -- no worries. Other FFLs I've worked with have started the paperwork the same day with no problem. Now that I've seen how they handle this, I'll make sure people know. This is truly the kind of gun store that alienates both new and experienced shooters. P.S. The owner emailed me that I am banned from the store and that they will send my SIG back to the factory, without ever speaking to me or asking for my side of the story. Good customer service starts from the top, and in this case, there is none at any level.

Then they were telling people trying to do a lawful transfer that they couldn't communicate during paperwork because of straw purchase concerns. Straw purchasesers typically don't come in for background checks. Then while trying to purchase a gun the staff because extremely rude after I followed instructions exactly as asked. The experience was surreal. Precise shooter has a long reputation for having "particular" sales staff and being hard to deal with and I knew this when I went in but I tried to overlook it. This industry is too challenging to accept stores that enjoy bullying their customers instead of providing great service.

Everything is structured and range rules are very strictly enforced (which makes sense for a public…read morerange) and is a great place to take those whom are new to firearms. All of their rules are posted on their website for each respective range, it's a good idea to check them out beforehand. I often come here when I need to confirm or reconfirm a zero on a rifle optic, and it's very nice that their rifle range has spotting scopes and brass deflectors at no extra cost. For those that like to either run training drills or mag-dump into trash, this isn't the place for it. They unfortunately have Fudd rules here for a reason, don't take it personally. My advice? Just bring a single 10 round mag because that's all they'll let you load into a rifle anyways.

I came here after recently buying my first firearm. I previously took their introductory course and…read morepurchased a gun from them, so I expected my first solo visit to the range to feel welcoming and beginner-friendly. Unfortunately, that wasn't really the case. When I walked in, I made eye contact with the staff member behind the counter and explained that it was my first time shooting here since taking their intro class. Instead of any kind of greeting or friendly acknowledgment, he immediately asked for my last name. After looking me up, he told me (without much explanation) to go to the middle computer for the intro video and then the side computer for the waiver. When I asked for clarification on what "side computer" meant, he simply repeated the instructions with noticeable attitude. It set a pretty unwelcoming tone. The video and waiver were easy, and when I came back to the counter, I let him know I brought some of my own ammo since you need to declare that. He told me to "take it out" so he could check it. After that, he just listed off, "ear protection, eye protection, targets, ammunition?" I already had my own gear, so I asked for just a target and ammo. He instructed me to turn around and pick a target. After paying, he pointed me to a bay and reiterated rules that the safety video already covered, and that was essentially the end of our interaction. He didn't ask if I had any questions or clarify anything else. The actual range itself is functional and was a fine experience. But I'm glad I did some YouTube research about how gun ranges work beforehand, because the lack of guidance here would have been pretty intimidating. As a newer gun owner, I was hoping for staff who felt more approachable and patient. Overall, I was disappointed that the customer service for newcomers was so unwelcoming, especially from a place where I had taken a class and bought my firearm.

The workers here are very friendly and the shop itself is large with a ton of supplies from bags to camping gear, paracord, shirts, sweatshirts and pants, hats, gloves etc. The guy who was working when I came in let me try on a bunch of hats for color and sizing preference so I could get my perfect fit. 3 stars because I was also looking at the wool gloves for cold weather conditions and noted moths present on nearly all of them so wouldn't recommend buying anything in the store made of wool as its likely got some moth contamination present.

I was looking to buy a shotgun and he was super friendly. I ended up buying a model 12 Winchester for about $750 dollars. I looked at several shotguns and he was very helpful. After I had made the purchase he told me how happy he was that I supported the business. I'm disappointed that all the mom and pop shops are closing due to the anti-gun politics in this state. This used to be one of my favorite places to go. I love supporting local businesses. I don't like box stores.

It is a bit costly but I would say it worth the price if you come regularly. It's also a great option for me as it includes the rental fees and I'd like to try different guns each time. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. One small thing to mention: They do provide shotguns for rental but the only standard option is KS7, which is cool if it's not jamming. I went to rent it twice and it both jammed. Staffs are nice as they switched Benelli M4 to me which was intended to be a "premium" rental. Would be nicer if they also provide 590/870/any other pump-action shotguns as standard options in the future. Apart from that, there's nothing I can complain. There was a time I went to the range with a friend who's shooting for the first time. Chris was very helpful and provides my friend with a quick but through intro and some other helps. For the shop: Great service. There's a young staff who is really friendly and helpful. No one would push you to make decisions here (which I like it) but you can always find helps if needed.

When I asked why, I was initially told it was sales tax, and later the explanation changed to use tax. I don't believe either explanation was correct. The promotion was advertised in the store as a buy-one-get-one-free offer, and I had already paid approximately $200 in tax on the rifle purchase. From my understanding, I should not have been charged an additional $64 for the promotional firearm. I have purchased several firearms from this store over The last few months, but this experience changed my opinion. After paying higher transfer fees and then dealing with what I believe was an incorrect tax charge, I won't be doing business here again. I hope the extra $64 was worth losing a repeat customer.

It's also a bit uncomfortable here vs Renton or Snoqualmie, even thought the staff has always been very nice. I'm glad it exists, but for the money I'd recommend Renton or Snoqualmie - especially if you want to shoot greater than 100 yards. If you are just wanting to shoot your shotgun to get comfortable with it, you'll find it MUCH easier here than Renton and faster to get started for a one off here & there vs Snoqualmie.

The membership is also worth it, $120 a year for free entry and you can bring your family. We were having trouble with one of our rifles and the range officer, Tim, helped us out and fixed our rifle. Now it shoots perfectly!
