If you're considering this place, look elsewhere…read more I ordered a bike back in August expecting to hear back with a status after a couple weeks. After 5 weeks elapsed I tried calling, emailing and texting for a status update. No response. I physically had to go to the shop to get an update. There was some mix up with the manufacturer and the bike wouldn't be ready until the following week. An annoyance but these things happen. Another week goes by and nothing. Again, I tried to get an update and nothing. After 6 weeks I finally got an update and the bike would be ready that day. I went to the service center and they didn't have the bike. I was directed to the warehouse which was not far. I get to the warehouse and they are still working on the bike. I wait another half hour. Finally the bike was ready. Except, it wasn't the bike I ordered. The accessories I ordered were incorrect. The passenger seat was incorrect from what I ordered at the store. I rejected the bike as nonconforming. They probably could have fixed it but not without adding to the price and causing even more delays. But they didn't offer to fix the mistake or any sort of apology. The only bright spot was they refunded the money quickly. In addition to losing out on the riding season (good weather) I'm probably also out the $300 WA rebate. I don't know if you can transfer it to another shop once used. Don't waste your time with Amped Adventure. Their communication, customer service, and turn around time is atrocious. There are plenty of other retailers in the area.

After waiting more than two weeks to get my bike back, I discovered that the rear brake was still loose. When I asked the mechanic why he had called me to pick it up when the issue had clearly not been fixed, he responded, "I didn't know that's what you needed fixed." Did he forget because he was too busy trying to upsell me on unnecessary parts and services? Waiting over two weeks only to receive my bike back with the original problem unresolved is unacceptable. I would not recommend this shop

I paid over $2k total to have Iron Monkey cerakote and nickel plate two of my old shotguns. It took…read moreabout 4 mo. for the work to be completed. I dropped the guns off completely disassembled and ready for media blasting. I want to be completely transparent and mention the good things as part of this review too. The employees were very friendly and easy to work with. They explained their capabilities and weighed in on what they thought they were capable of. They also gave me a $100 discount for things taking so long. They had some difficulties with the nickel plating and tried to redo it more than once, which I appreciate. They also got creative when running into problems and "brushed" the nickel plating to hide defects. On the flip side, communication was less than desirable and I had to call the shop back on 4-5 occasions because they never returned phone calls they promised. I was also a bit disappointed to see that they left one sharp defect in the trigger guard of one gun and didn't bother to file it down during surface prep. I expected more prep work for a $2k price tag. So they did minimal surface prep work overall which I find disappointing. There were also 2 chips in the new cerakote, 1 of which they said they'd touch up for me with blue. I didn't find the 2nd one until later during reassembly. While I appreciate the creativity, they never called to ask if it was okay to brush the nickel finish. They just did it. I would expect a call asking for permission to deviate from the plan we agreed upon. Even with the brushed finish you can see micro pits in the nickel plain as day. Additionally, they missed a spot completely on the trigger guard and you can see bare copper. These complaints I have are relatively minor by themselves in the grand scheme of things. What makes things completely unacceptable is the touch up job on the cerakote. Aside from the fact that this touch up took 2 days longer than they said it would, they used a sharpie marker to do the touch up instead of blue. I found out about this because the touch up spot looked very purple-colored and the employee told me not to contact the touch up with my finger. When I got home I took a q-tip with alcohol over the spot and it came right off with 1 swipe down to bare metal. I thought to do this because I read another review for Iron Monkey from another customer accusing them of doing the same thing. Bluing is a passivation process that converts the surface metal to an oxide. It does NOT wipe off under any normal conditions, including with solvents. Even if it was old chemical, it will simply not turn the metal black and would fail to work at all. I even have a bottle of Oxpho Cold Blue that is 4 years expired. I hit the bare metal spot with it and it blackened instantly and would not rub off even with acetone. I called the owner to confront them about this and was told that it couldn't be sharpie and that maybe their bluing compound had gone bad. This was a bold faced lie, or the owner doesn't know what his employees are doing. Either way is unacceptable. Given the touch up situation and fact that I paid over $2k for this work and ended up with pitted nickel and chipped cerakote I can't say I'm a very happy customer. I might have lived with the other complaints given the things that did go well, but the bluing situation tips the scale for me. Overall I rate the work as a C- at best, hence my 2 stars. See the pictures I included to show you what I mean.
