Absolutely the worst experience I've had purchasing items from a store. The employees are incompetent doing their job and move like pond water when they do. The Everett store is worse than the Silverdale store. I purchased a couple of firearms and did/ provided all necessary paperwork , double verified by another employee, weeks later paperwork approved by state patrol wait a hour plus to pick up, then denied firearms ,because original paperwork left out a number on drivers license which was approved by Washington state patrol ( how so? with missing #). Was offered 10% gift card to refill complete paperwork and comeback weeks later to pick up, ( July 3rd ) I ilve in Seattle and the commute is long enough without holiday traffic. denied it, and requested refund .Worse than going to the DMV! read more

Me and my fiance went today to get some ammo and there was a line which we didn't mind at all, 2 people on hand to the big lady with grey hair you're straight horrible, she was extremely rude to us and everybody in her sight. She also tried to argue with her coworker over gun rights when we were alone in a conversation with him. We also tried to be nice and say thank you to her and she looked at us with a straight rude face. 1 star The customer service in the firearm section at the Everett Sportsman's Warehouse is flat-out terrible. Every time I go in, the employees -- especially the older guy and whoever is working with him -- just stand around talking, ignoring customers like we're invisible. I've waited 10-15 minutes multiple times with zero acknowledgment. No "I'll be right with you," nothing. It's obvious they don't care. I've walked out more than once because the staff would rather gossip than do their jobs. If you're looking to actually buy something or get help, don't waste your time at this location. I went to this store to purchase a firearm I had been considering for a while. As soon as my number was called, I noticed that every question I asked was met with an eye roll or an exasperated expression. The staff at the gun counter weren't just rude to me--they were treating everyone around me the same way. I actually laughed out loud at how ridiculous it was. The guy next to me even commented, "They must be having a hard day," and another customer and his wife, who had been waiting in line, just shook their heads, and also laughed, and then walked out. That should have been my cue to leave, but I was set on making my purchase. When the employee finally came back, he just stared at me. I waited for him to say something, but all he said was, "Are you gonna do this now?" Confused, I asked, "The paperwork?" to which he responded, "Are you ready to buy the gun or not?" I couldn't help but laugh in his face. I looked at him and said, "Yeah--at Cabela's." And that's exactly what I did the next day. Despite being very busy, the staff at Cabela's treated me with professionalism and respect. I will never purchase a firearm or ammo here. I'll just drive farther and go to Cabela's to be treated kindly and respectfully. I'll never understand how some employees think they can get away with treating customers like that. The security guard/wannabe sheriff here is the main reason I will not return to this location. When a young father and his two young kids walked in the store for some holiday shopping, they were playing with their own little foam football. These were young kids roughly 5ish so it's not like they were throwing 50 yard passes with a hard object. Instead of talking to the parent he tells the kids to stop playing, when given the slightest push back from the father as the security guy escalated and things got awkward. Right after this encounter he eager seeked reassurance from some Gandalf looking employee and they proceeded to have a loud conversation in front of other customers about how "we don't need that crap here, they can just get out next time" and went on an on and how they'd handle it. Tried putting a call in for the manager to let him know (Mark) I believe but he never called me back. Hopefully RoboCop calms down but as a parent with a young child I won't be returning to this store. read more

I've been here 3 times this month to purchase a fairly expensive firearm. I've walked out 3 times despite being prepared to purchase immediately. I've been here today for 90 minutes waiting while one person worked the counter. A second person finally came on and talked to me for about 3 minutes and then proceeded to show equipment to the people behind me in line for the next ten minutes while studiously ignoring me. Enough. Part of the holdup is that they've apparently lost someone's gun and have been trying to locate it for at least 2 hours now. Price isn't an issue with this store. Actually getting to spend your money is the issue. Because getting service at the gun counter is very difficult. The employees there seem to have no sense of urgency and no sense of customer service. They spend a lot of time piddling around with back end issues when they should be dealing with the many customers standing around, waiting. They make an art of ignoring customers waiting for service. I have a distinct limit of waiting time. If I've waited around for 15 minutes with no movement in the customer queue and no acknowledgement from counter staff, I leave. My time is simply too valuable to stand around and be ignored by staff. SW is not the only place that sells guns. read more

I made an online handgun purchase from SW. I went to the store to pick it up at about 1:00pm on a Tuesday. There five guys ahead of me. One of them said that he'd been waiting for 45 minutes. There was one person working the counter. Since there were no numbers passed out for customers, the only option was to stand around and wait. I left after 25 minutes. The line hadn't moved at all and two more customers had joined the line. My credit card shows that the payment to SW has been made, otherwise I would cancel the order and pay a couple of bucks more for a gun from Cabela's. Live and learn. read more

Poor management and inept staff all around. The guys at the gun counter and the manager who was overseeing them are completely and totally incompetent. I was there for over an hour waiting to get my gun (since they're so slow) and I felt like I was an extra in a bad sitcom. There was one employee behind the gun counter insulting another employee for messing up a customers paperwork, he spent five minutes demonstrating everything the employee got wrong and calling him out in front of customers who were clearly frustrated and just wanting them to hurry up and get his paperwork processed. A half hour later I then saw this same obnoxious employee insulting a different customer (who was within earshot and pretending not to hear) while talking with a different customer. Why is that guy still employed??? There was also a different employee, an older guy, going back and fourth apparently doing nothing and constantly talking about how he was about to go on his break. A break is supposed to be 10-15 minutes , how many break does that guy get? Keep in mind the entire time all of this was going on there was a "manager" there overseeing everything. Whoever is in charge of this place is sleeping on the job because the behavior of your employees and whoever that manager was is unacceptable. read more

WARNING, DO NOT BUY from them. I bought a silencer from them and AFTER I selected it I saw a 206 dollar tax stamp added to the 699. dollar silencer. I called the Store and the employee in the gun dept told me he had to pay a fee when he bought a silencer. So I went ahead and bought it online. THEN 2 hours later I get an email from Silencer Central to set up an account on their website to facilitate the sale. Then I get another email from them that they will need my finger prints so they will be sending me a kit . THen another email saying they need a passport size photo. At thsi point Im done. BUT I cant find ANY link to cancel my order. So I leave several messages (Friday 14th of march within a couple hours of the purchase) that I want to cancel. I called sportsmans wearhouse and they told me I had to contact the silencer company. THen on Monday after I didnt hear from them I called them and they said I had to call sportmans ... I told them NOWHERE did it say I would have to send in prints or pictures and that the government already has my prints from my permir application. They said the government doesnt share with them so THEY need to have them on file. Sketchy! Purchased an over/under and got the PROCEED. Went in for pickup and was informed that I had to wait an extra day. Apparently they misspelled my name and had to resubmit the documents. I don't care about the wait... I do care about errors on legal government documents. If they messed up on my name, WHAT ELSE COULD THEY HAVE MESSED UP? So I cancelled the sale. I've been a regular of this store for a while already, cashiers are always super friendly and helpful. However hasn't been a single time that the price tags are the real price that the system shows at the cashier. Inventory on Shelves look organized but the tags don't match. Until today they were able to match the prices on the shelves but I had a manager with a rude attitude when I mentioned the price in the system didn't matched the one on the shelf. First response was "I don't think so" and walked away without saying anything else, cashier and I assumed he went to check the price so we waited. When he came back with the tag he said "this isn't for the same item, is for a 150g". Even with his attitude I just replied "I won't take it" very calmly, to which he replied "then don't buy it" on a very rude tone and walked away. I'm sorry but is not my job to hunt in between shelves which tag matches the item I'm trying to purchase. And definitely that is not the kind of customer service I would expect from such a great store. The manager, a young man (didn't catch the name) cake over and said they can't process the return without the receipt (despite me being a club member and having the card I purchased it with with me). I like Sportsman's warehouse over Cabella's for many reasons but this last time, my experience was not awesome. This is my second firearm purchase so I know how this goes especially in Washington. At any rate, I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and figured it would be someone and in and out. It was close to closing time but they said they would fit me in to get the paperwork done. Either way, I was fine with coming back in the AM, if they would hold the firearm, They chose to fit me in. Now, I know they do not have control of other people not reading directions and asking questions about their paperwork....I get it, people are special sometimes. I was done when another customer came in hot 10 mins before close. Turns out he was waiting on some paperwork to release his firearm but hadn't gotten a call yet because they were buys all day. Don't you worry though, he's a VIP, his words not mine...he thought pretty highly of himself. *giant eye roll* The guy that was helping me, stopped, went over to him and did what he needed done. Mind you, I was done in 4 mins with my paperwork. Because the guy decided to do this instead of just finishing with me, he got to stay late. Oh well. Wow. I'm a grave shift worker. For convenience I take a bus to and from work, and I carry my work supplies in a backpack. Stopped in this store this morning with $200+ dollars burning a hole in my pocket and a specific shopping list. But within less than 5 minutes in the store I was approached and informed that the store doesn't allow backpacks. I said, "no problem, I will leave it up front.". I was told that was not an option. The firearms department does not respect appointments scheduled online and also does not respect the number tickets used to call visitors in the numbered order. Last time I came by appointment, but lost 40 minutes because the guy at the counter chose to serve a walk-in visitor whose ticket was after mine, not to mention I had an appointment and the walk-in visitor did not. There was only one guy at the counter, and he did not bother serving multiple visitors at the same time, waiting 40 min for the out-of-line visitor to complete necessary forms. The Everett sportsmans is fantastic. The entire staff are extremely customer centric. The gentleman behind the firearms counter are extremely knowledgeable. I always have a great experience at this sportsmans. The prices are extremely fair...far better than cabelas. During the covid times, they kept there prices extremely fair compared to cabelas and other box stores. I can say enough positive things about my experience. Great job sportsmans staff!!!! read more
